Prologue

Hardy stared at the walls that separated dimensions. It had been several centuries since the Gate had last been used to transport a new wave of life into Falmart, the garden of the gods. Now the time for more life to be brought in was at hand. She browsed through the numerous worlds that were close by in dimensional terms to see what world would be selected. There was one world that caught her particular attention, especially given the large traces of dimensional magic she picked up.

"Who would be so curious about this world to leave such large traces of dimensional magic that it can be found everywhere in that world?" Hardy wondered as her gaze entered the world.

What Hardy found greatly surprised her. It was a world unlike anything she had seen before. Yes, she had seen civilizations that were greatly more advanced in Falmart, but it had been done so with the aid of magic or the gods. She had seen a world so advanced without so some trace of magic or the gods' influence.

One particular place interested her the most, which was the closest place in this world to Falmart's Alnus Hill. Since it was time to open a Gate to Falmart to bring in new life and the world greatly interested her without much thinking she opened a Gate that led to the Ginza district, Tokyo, Japan.

A greatly wounded consciousness stirred awake for the first time in thousands of years. She was a powerful force that even when half-asleep was so powerful that Alaya, the collective human unconsciousness, would be hard-pressed to challenge if herwasn't focused much of its attention from its terrible wounds inflicted by the alien entity known as Velber 02. The thing that stirred the planetary consciousness awake was a dimensional gate into another world.

Is this True Ether that I am detecting? Gaia thought to herself incredulously.

It didn't take long for Gaia to confirm what she was sensing was not a false reading. Gaia, if she had a face, smiled. For thousands of years since the end of the Age of Gods, she had been forced into deeper sleep as it tried to recover from its terrible wounds. True Ether was exactly what it needed to recover, and Gaia hadn't been able to reproduce much given her wounded state.

Gaia slowly contemplated what to do before she came to a decision. She couldn't afford to make an enemy of another planetary consciousness, especially when she was so wounded and needed to heal. The strength of the planetary consciousness on the other side of the dimensional gate needed to be investigated before she decided to do anything in particular.

She sent forth a call to her minions, the Elementals of Earth. The first to answer her call were amongst her strongest, the Divine Spirits born from nature. When she revealed the reason for her calling the Nature Spirits, especially ones that were also Divine Spirits were incredibly excited and without needing more explanation from Gaia jumped through the dimensional gate.

Hardy was surprised to find the very first thing to pass through her newly constructed Gate was not a creature that she had found in the world her Gate led to.

"Why can you not manifest yourself?" Hardy asked her fellow, but alien god from another world that had come through the Gate.

The Divine Spirit didn't answer as it was busy focusing on gathering the True Ether that had disappeared from Earth as Gaia used all that was available True Ether she produced to repair her grievous wounds. It cheered as its form manifested for the first time since the Age of Gods had ended and Earth had ushered in the Age of Man. The Divine Spirit ignored Hardy and jumped back through the Gate.

"What an odd fellow." Hardy commented in surprise at the sudden disappearance of the first god from another world.

It was not long later that another Divine Spirit appeared, another one without a shape to manifest itself. Hardy was about to greet the second god when more Divine Spirits exited the Gate. She was about to greet them all when her eyes widened to see a flood of shapeless gods churn out of the Gate until Hardy saw a number of gods that she thought was not possible for one single world to possess.

The rapidly growing number of Divine Spirits quickly began to gather True Ether to manifest their forms, and more Divine Spirits came through the Gate. It might seem like seconds, but soon Hardy hundreds, if not thousands of newly manifesting gods making their way in all directions to explore Falmart.

A stunned Hardy stared at the sight of so many gods more than she had ever seen in her life. She finally snapped out of her stupor when one of her fellow Falmart gods came to her.

"Hardy, are you insane! Why did you let gods from another world into our world?!" Emroy shouted as he made his way to Hardy.

"What's wrong?" Hardy asked in confusion.

"Did you just say to me, 'what's wrong!?' Have you lost your mind? You just unleashed scourge of foreign gods into Falmart, who are devouring all the True Ether there is at an alarming rate. It's reached the point that Falmart, herself has become alarmed and called upon all of us, Falmart Gods, to fight against the gods from another world." Emroy screamed at Hardy.

Just as Hardy was about to respond, Emroy and Hardy were struck with a scream that made their eyes widen in shock. They had just received a message from Falmart herself to start fighting the alien gods immediately. Emroy and Hardy quickly joined their fellow Falmart gods to fight the alien gods, but it was already too late.

Falmart, the planet, not the planetary consciousness, was thrown into great chaos as the True Ether, which made powerful and high-level magic possible and allowed the existence of great magical species, quickly dwindled at an alarming rate as magic in Falmart started to fail and magical species started to weaken.

"Hmphm," a certain Counter Guardian muttered as he manifested at the calling of his supreme master.

He let out a sigh as EMIYA prepared for another inevitable fight where he was sent as a cleaner to eliminate any threat that could potentially end the continued existence of mankind. The knowledge he always got before the mission left him dumbstruck. A very baffled Counter Guardian reviewed the knowledge in his mind. In fact, it seemed so unlike his usual missions that he thought Alaya was fucking with him. It wouldn't be the first time Alaya had pulled a fast one on him.

"If this isn't a prank…" EMIYA muttered while wishing in his heart that just maybe the mission given to him was not fake. "This is a change that I certainly might enjoy for a while."

EMIYA's body disappeared, like so many other summoned Counter Guardians who were summoned to a mission that would have been normally reserved for the Human Counter Force.

In the deep forests of South America, isolated far from any human settlements, stirred a being that Mage's Association and Holy Church called ORT . He extended his senses to engulf the entire world and started to scratch his head in confusion. Wasn't his nephews and nieces - as a manifestation of the OORT Cloud that would make Gaia his little sister - supposed to be in a dormant state or hanging between life and death after the Age of Gods had ended?

ORT was terribly confused when he detected not just one, ten, hundred, but a number far exceeding the thousands actively moving around and settling down on different places of Earth.

Why did his little sister, Gaia, call him if her children were recovering and starting to decimate the human population?

If his nephews and nieces were going to do his job he might as well pack up and return home. Cause, he really missed Oort Cloud right now after he had made a terrible miscalculation and arrived five thousand years before the Promised Time.

Something that hadn't happened since the end of the Age of Gods started to take place.

The worshippers of religions, which had declined until they were a former shell of their great glory or kept alive by a handful of stubborn hardcore believers, quickly found themselves being rewarded. Something that had never happened in their life or in countless generations. It was as if the gods were coming back to life, which wasn't far from the truth as Divine Spirits returned from Falmart to Earth gloat full of True Ether. They started to interact with their believers once more as the gods were able to manifest for the first time in a long time and chalked full of energy to fulfill the prayers of their believers.

It was not just once dead or long forgotten religions that suddenly came to life as their gods returned with a form to call their own and filled with power.

Leylines that had run dry or a pale comparison to their former glory exploded with magical energy. The leylines resurgence just acted as the first sign of glories long forgotten coming back. Portals that led to the Reverse Side of the Earth opened up as creatures spoken of myth and legends once more returned to Earth to call it home. Earth once more started to feel the long forgotten might that had now become disappeared as myth and legends to describe things that never really existed or had been misinterpreted by the ancient ancestors of the current generations of modern humans.
