Luka waked up early to prepare breakfast, for some reason he did not have any dream last night and as such got a great rest. After he finished preparing the breakfast, he waked Lucifina up.

"Mom! Wake up already, we need to move early if we want to reach Iliasburg by sunset" Luka said as he entered the tent.

"Lukaaaa... Let mama sleep a bit more..." Lucifina replied.

"Geez mom, wake up already! I already finished preparing breakfast" Luka urges.

"Okay..." Lucifina replied as she sat up and rubbed her eyes.

After seeing that his mom was waking up, Luka went back outside of the tent to prepare the food.

The two had a quick meal before continuing their journey to Iliasburg. Eventually while travelling on the road they spotted a suspicious looking plant sticking out in the middle of the road.

"Oh my there seems to be a weed blocking the road, Let Mom get rid of it." Lucifina says before she walks up to the plant and yanked it out of the ground.

"AHHHHHHHH!"

What follows was an ear piercing scream that cause Luka to suddenly drop on to the ground.

"What the? Ouch!" Luka says as he his butt makes contact with the floor.

Lucifina however still standing up straight, holding the leaf of the massive plant that she pulled out and dangling it. Upon closer inspection, this plant was actually not a plant, but instead a monster girl, who seemed really confused about why the person who pulled her out was still standing and didn't even seem affected by her scream. Her eyes then moved towards the back of the person that was holding her and spotted a pair of white wings. Her faced immediately paled as she realised the identity of the creature that grabbed her.

"Mom what's going on? My legs are all numb and I can't stand up..." Luka said as his body is still paralysed.

"Oh no worries, you are only paralysed because of this weed over here. Once Mama gets rid of her you should be fine in a while." Lucifina casually as she decides on how to "get rid" of the Mandragora.

"Wa-Wait please don't kill me!" The Mandragora pleaded while crying.

"Mom! stop we don't need to kill her!"

"Oh right! You did dislike killing... Still, we can't just leave her here. It's also pretty obvious that she is purposely blocking the road and baiting people to pull her so she can then attack them. As such we are going to have to seal her at least." Lucifina concluded.

"I guess that's fine..."

Lucifina then asked Luka to hand over Angel halo for a second then turned back to the Mandragora, before throwing the mandragora in the air.

"Ahhhhh I DONT WANT TO DIE!" the Mandragora screamed as she begins to fall back towards the ground. But before that happens Lucifina smacks her like a baseball using Angel Halo and send her flying towards the side of the road. As she crash-landed on the side of the road, her body broke into pieces of particles before leaving behind a small plant.

"Mom, you didn't have to be that violent..." Luka frowned

"Come on Luka, that wasn't even that violent. Infact, Mama found it funny!" Lucifina laughed as she passes back the sword to Luka.

Luka didn't respond and only looked at his mother disappointingly, but Lucifina just shrugged and continued to float along the path they were previously walking on. Luka seeing how his mother didn't understand why it was wrong to toy with another's life only sighed and moved long.

...

As the sun sets, Luka begin to see Iliasburg from afar. But before they entered the city Luka remembered something.

"Mom, you need to put on your normal clothes and hide your wings before we enter the city." Luka said as he turned towards Lucifina, who pouted and said.

"Eh, but Mama likes floating around! It feels way more comfortable than walking." She then elaborated by doing a loop de loop.

"But Mom if people sees that you are an angel, they will get surprised, and it will be quite troublesome. Also, can you also stop speaking to me like a child? I don't really mind myself but it's quite embarrassing Infront of others..." Luka said as he blushed, thinking about the reactions people would have when seeing a girl that looks around the same age as him referring to herself as his mother.

"Hmm... I guess that makes sense..." Lucifina said as she landed on the ground before making her wings disappear. She then made the bandages that was covering her body disappear.

"WAH!" Luka shouted as he got flashed by Lucifina.

"Mom! At least wait until I left before you changed!" Luka said as he quickly turned around.

"Oh? I didn't think that was a problem, after all we are family, aren't we?" Lucifina puzzled at Luka's sudden embarrassment.

"Still!" Luka protested, but Lucifina just ignored him as she continued changing into a normal outfit.

...

After Lucifina had finished changing, they entered the city. For some reason the city feels strange as it was completely devoid of people. For some reason, everyone seemed to have barricaded in their homes.

"Wow, it's been a while since I have come here everything looks quite new." Lucifina said as she walked around checking out the city. Luka however heard a commotion coming from the city plaza and as such he quickly ran towards the it, leaving Lucifina behind.

When he arrived at the plaza, he hid himself behind a tree and begin to observe what the commotion was.

Standing in the middle of the plaza was a monster equip with a sword and armour facing towards three soldiers with even more laying on the ground surrounding them.

"How boring. Is there not a single strong person in this town?" The monster said.

"Damn it she's too strong..." The soldiers that were fighting her said.

"You three... are you going to fight, or not?" The monster taunted.

Upon hearing the monster's taunt, 2 of the remaining soldiers charge forth in an attempt to attack the monster, however the monster quickly imbued her weapon with flames and strikes her attackers with it, causing them both to faint.

The last soldier seeing what had happen to his peers, turned on his back and started running away.

"That's a wise choice, but in the future, you can't call yourself a soldier anymore." the monster said.

Just like that there doesn't seem to be anymore soldier left to protect the city.

"Is that it!? Having your city taken over by a monster... Is there's no complaint!?" the monsters voice echoes throughout the city, however there is no response as everyone had already barricaded themselves inside their houses.

Luka, still hiding behind the tree thought to himself. "What should I do? From what I have seen, this monster seems to be one of the 4 heavenly knights, the knight of fire Granberia. There is no way I can beat her. Maybe I can wait until my mom is here and she can beat her... No! I am a hero, I can't just keep relying on my mother for everything. I must at least do something by myself!"

"Well then, I've taken control of this city. Next, I'll..." Before Granberia can finish her sentence, Luka came out from behind the tree.

"Ho... Hold it!" Luka said, causing Granberia to turn towards him.

"What was that, boy?" As her eyes set on to Luka's body, he felt his body shake uncontrollably while his heart throbs and his mouth dries up. Granberia's stare seems to be sending a crushing sense of oppression towards Luka.

"Oh, you're carrying a sword? Then I'll treat you as a warrior, not as a boy. You have no problem with that, do you?" Granberia asked.

"Of ... of course not! Even som... Even someone like me is a warrior!" Luka said as he holds up his sword as he prepares for battle.

Suddenly Granberia widens her eyes as she notices the sword that Luka was holding.

"Wait a second... That sword isn't yours! Where did you get it!?" Granberia suddenly angerly asked.

"Huh? This sword? It was from my mom?" "Don't you dare to lie! That sword belongs to the monster lord, a boy like you would have no way of getting that. Unless you stole it... In that case... You are not a warrior but a thief, and as a knight I will be delivering punishment." Granberia said as she lights her sword with fire.

"Wait! Hol-Hold on it a misunderstanding!" Luka quickly defended himself, but Granberia didn't listen and instead charged towards Luka while swinging her sword.

"Silence, I will hear no more of your excuses." Granberia said as she repeatedly attacks Luka. As Luka was not able to avoid her attacks in time, he can only block it, but each attack he blocks feels like a boar ramming into him. After a few attacks Luka manage to make some distance, and he realised that his arms are currently shaking due to the pain.

"I can't keep blocking her attack, thank Ilias that mom taught me some swordsmanship last night, if not I don't think I would of even be able to block those attack in time." Luka thought.

"I admit you have some skills boy, even though I am holding back, you are still managing to block my attacks. However, it seems like your body is reaching its limit, as such I will grant you some mercy. If you hand over your sword to me now, I will let you go." Granberia offered.

"N-No way, my mother gave me this. It's also the only way that I can become a hero without killing, I won't give it to you!"

"A hero... so you wish to become something even worst then a thief. A hero of Ilias... Very well, it seems like I will be showing you no mercy." Granberia said as she prepares to use a power skill. Luka who realised this, begins to carefully prepare to dodge as he knows that there will be no way for him to block this.

"Stop!" Just as Granberia was about to attack, a voice shouted out, causing both Granberia and Luka to be distracted and turn towards it.

What they saw was a tall Silver haired girl wearing exotic looking clothes with tattoos all over her body, looking very annoyed over the situation.

"How long are you going to be an idiot?" She said towards Granberia.

"Y... You!" Granberia looked shocked, but then she begins to slowly go on one knee.

"Huh?" Luka blurted out, still confused at why the monster that was about to kill him suddenly went on her knee and who this mysterious woman was.

"Granberia... what are you doing? Who ordered you to do such a thing?" The woman asked.

"I decided by myself." Granberia responded. "To get rid of those annoying heroes, I..."

"Go away, you annoyance."

"B... But! If I leave now even more Heroes will show up..."

"I told you to go away. If you go berserk like this, how am I going to eat the Ama-Ama Dango?"

"If you want something like that, just let me take control of the city first."

"How can I sightsee with such an unsightly event like that going on? Idiot... Having to say the same thing three times... Is that how you show your loyalty?"

"I shall retreat, however what would you do with the boy? How did get your sword?"

"... He probably picked it up after I dropped it during my flight here... I will deal with it myself."

"Very well, I will take my leave then." Granberia then disappeared, presumably having left the city. The woman then turned towards Luka.

"Now you... I don't know why you made up a lie about how your mother gave you that sword. But I am going to have you return it to me." The woman said as she begins walking towards Luka.

"Wait! I don't know what you mean, but my mom really did give me this sword!" Luka once again insisted that the sword was his.

"Still with that lie huh... You know what... I am too tired to deal with you right now, if you don't give it back then I will just take it by force." The woman then begins to channel some kind of strange spell. However, she was interrupted when Lucifina suddenly appeared right behind Luka.

"Luka! Why did you leave me by the streets! And what's with all those burns! Also, who is this woman?" Lucifina asked as she begin healing Luka's wounds.

"Mom! Calm down! One question at a time." Luka said.

"So, this woman is your mother huh? Is that healing magic I am seeing, could she perhaps be a priest?" The woman said as she observed the interaction between Luka and Lucifina.

"And who are you? Are you the one who did this to my Luka!" Lucifina begins glaring at the woman. "Sorry Luka but looks like there is another monster I am going to have to traumatised today."

"Wa-Wait! She saved me please don't hurt her... Hold up? Shes a Monster?" Luka surprised by the fact that the woman Infront of her was a monster.

"Yes... you idiot... How do you think I manage to get Granberia to leave." The woman deadpanned.

"Hey! You don't get to call my son an idiot! He might be a bit dense but his not an idiot!" Lucifina offended from this strange woman's remark on her son.

"You know what, I don't care. Just give me back the sword and I will leave. This is wasting far too much of my time..."

"What? Your sword? Thats my sword! And since I gave it to Luka, its now his sword!"

Upon hearing that the woman seemingly got more annoyed "Okay listen here you crazy woman. That sword has been in my families vault since more than 400 hundred years ago, and don't even say that yours might be a different one. There is no other sword in this world that feels the same as this one. It is mine and if you don't return it and going to have to take it by force, don't blame me when you or your son get hurt in the progress." The woman threatened.

"400 years in your family vault huh... Ah, I am starting to remember a bit. So, you are a spawn of the dark god huh? Alipheese..."

"Wait what! You know my tru-!" The woman's voice died at her throat as Lucifina begins radiating a dangerous amount of energy, a lot of killing intent suddenly flooded the surrounding, turning the air heavy.

"Your previous explanation is indeed true... I do remember leaving this sword with your kind, although I don't remember the reason. But do you know who forged this sword?" Lucifina asked the woman who seem to be very on guard towards Lucifina's pressure.

"M-Mom?" Luka asked worryingly as he had never seen his mother like this.

"Wha-" The woman tried to respond before she was cut off by Lucifina.

"This sword... Forged with the souls of 666 angels, all collected by a single angel... The Daystar... Me." As if to emphasise this point, Lucifina spread open her wings ripping the back part of her clothes. At this moment powerful holy energy begins to radiate from Lucifina. To Luka, a human, he didn't feel anything but power radiating from his mother. But for the monster Infront of them, she could feel nothing but dread and danger.

"If you understand that, then you should agree that this sword is mine, right?" Lucifina finished with a smile, but her eyes were definitely not smiling.

"Wa-Wait! I heard from Tamamo that the angel who forged the blade had long died. How could you be her when she is supposed to be dead?" The Monster tried to argue.

"Oh! I don't know actually. I just woke up recently all of a sudden. I don't know why I got revived. But I do know that this sword was next to my grave when I woke up." Lucifina suddenly completely dropped her previously aggressive demeanour and adopted a more cheerful one as she tries to explain how she is suddenly not dead anymore.

"What! That doesn't even make any sense... Unless you tell me that Angel halo somehow reacted to your corpse... Which... Wait hold up that might actually be possible." The monster muttered.

"Anyways! It doesn't matter! But now that you know who I am you agree that the sword belongs to me right?"

"I guess you did make that sword... So, it would belong to you... bu-but I can't just let you have it likes this. Who knows what you are going to do with it. I have a responsibility to make sure no harm falls to any monsters, and since you are an angel. I don't trust you not to use this weapon to harm monsters!"

"Oh, actually it's the opposite!"

"What?"

"You see, my son here wants to be a hero that promotes co-existence with monsters, so he doesn't want to hurt the monsters he fights. Therefore, I gave him angel halo so that he can fight full force without hurting those monsters." Lucifina explains as she suddenly pushed Luka Infront of her and to let the monster get a better look of him.

"It's umm... it's my dream." Luka said shyly.

"Thats a stupid dream." The monster responded, however she does suddenly seem more interested in Luka.

"Hey! It's not stupid!" Luka defended.

"Hmm... it is a near impossible dream thought." Lucifina added.

"What!? Mom! You are supposed to agree with me!" Luka cried.

"Mama does support your dream... But it is still a hard to achieve dream though"

"..."

The monster observed Luka's reaction for a bit, before a small smile appears on her face. "Very well if your son isn't going to harm monsters then I don't mind not having the sword."

"Excellent, now me and Luka is going to go find a place to sleep. So, we are going now" Lucifina said as she un-summoned her wings and started to drag Luka away by the hand.

"Hmm, very well" the Woman says before preparing to leave as well.

"Wait!" Luka suddenly called out to the woman.

"?"

"Even though you saved me, I still haven't asked your name." Luka said.

"My name is... You can call me Alice." The woman said before leaving, disappearing similarly to how Granberia did earlier.

"Alice huh..." Luka said as he tries to memorise the name of his saviour. He doesn't know why, but he has a feeling he might see her often in the future.

"Luka! What are you waiting for! Mama is getting hungry!" Lucifina urges Luka to start moving, while she starts walking towards the food district.

"Co-Coming!" He replied as he quickly ran in order to catch up to her.
