Chapter 15

Mia was not dressed in the most sexy thing in her closet like Harmony had told her to do. Her dress was floral but wasn't made out of cotton and some synthetic silk. It was maxi length with a slit up to the thigh. The slit made her think of Lucifer's words about going down on her.

It made her pick a pair of underwear with lace on them. Because you just never know. In her case she hoped.

The knock at the door indicated that Lucifer had arrived on time. They had planned to leave early because they were going to take the hour walk together. She thought of it as a pre-date before they stepped into the fancy event.

She stumbled over her own feet to get to the door. Upon opening the door a huge bouquet of sunflowers were shoved into her face, "Mia!"

Mia started to spit at the few petals that got into her mouth and took the bouquet that was gifted to her.

"Lucifer." A giggle in her voice, "Come on in. I still have to find my shoes."

He steps into her apartment behind her.

Before looking for her shoes she wanted to care for the flowers. Looking for something to place them in. She had an aluminum can that she saved to use for painting, but it would do for now.

She wasn't a florist but she still cared for the flowers when placing them in the can. They were from Lucifer after all. Turning to address the man he was already at her side.

His presence is close and her hands automatically find his waist. He wore a white suite with a red vest. It was very similar to the demon costume in his picture. It flattered him while also making herself blush.

"You should let your hair down." Lucifer's hands were already working their way into her hair. Brushing his fingers slowly through it. It felt relaxing and made all her nerves for the night slip away.

Right now it was just her and him. Her eyes scanned his beautifully pale face and when his eyes locked to hers, "And I think you should kiss me."

Mia's lips turned up when his face lit up, "You don't have to ask me twice."

Lucifer's hand cupped her face and drew her in. When their lips touched she felt excited. She couldn't help but think about how it was going to be a good night. It was only going to go up from here.

Every time he kissed her it was like he was trying to convey all of his feelings for her and when she moved her lips with his that was her reciprocating them.

Mia couldn't hold back the lightning in her veins. Her hands slide down and around his waist to squeeze his ass. A physical attribute to the man that she really liked.

"Mmm," She pulls back, "Kissing you feels like a star shooting across the sky."

Lucifer blushes but accepts the compliment, "You have me floating over here too." And then he kisses the top of her head before stepping back, "Normally I wouldn't care much for being on time. But I know how important this is for you."

With her head in dream space she couldn't help but think that this was how it starts. The lighting striking her heart, beating up in the stars, and feeling brighter than the sun.

"Doug did tell me that he was working with your dad and that he was able to destroy most of the Vox Tech. But the source originated in Detroit, Michigan in America." Husks words swirled in Charlie's head.

Specifically the word 'most'. Something was going on in this Detroit place.

"Yous sure about this?" Angel Dust asks as Charlie finishes her pacing around the pink filled room.

"Yes. I can feel it in my gut."

"Your guts have been wrong before." But still Angel doesn't stop his friend as she focuses on the paranormal activity in Detroit.

The golden ring opens and just through the other side is a brick wall, "I did it!"

"Okay. Now let's go through while we can." Without much more thought the two of them step through and find themselves in an alleyway.

Vincent's Repairs, was on a sign for an establishment. It was currently closed and looking through the window Charlie saw different technology that she had never seen before and there were wires hanging from the ceiling like snakes.

"I'm not exactly looking like I fit in here." Angel gets Charlie's attention and gestures to his arms.

"Oh. Yeah. Yes. I got this!" With full focus she thinks about making Angel human. It was a bit strange since she only knew her friend in his form.

A golden shimmer sweeps over Angel Dust. As it starts from the head and works its way down Charlie starts to see the reveal.

White hair with thin pink highlights, contrasting dark browns on a youthful face. His iconic pink freckles remained under his eye like cute ascent tattoos. Angel's clothes transformed to fix his new anatomy. A pink and white shorts romper with the chest piece missing.

"Ay, I still got my boots and gloves." Angel Dust checks themselves out in the reflection of the repair shop.

"You look amazing as a human." Charlie gushes.

"Of course I do." He combs his finger through his hair, "But honestly Charlie, I'm pretty sure this is just what I looked like before I died."

"Oh." Her face drops, because she hadn't really thought of that before. Forgetting that there was a time when Angel Dust was a living human.

"Dat was years ago. I've been dead longer than I was alive." Angel reassures the frowning girl, "Give it a go on yerself."

Charlie does the same exact thing and after the gold shimmer is gone she turns in a circle, "What do you think? How human do I look?"

Angel chuckles, "You look the same, Toots. Just no red dots."

"What? No way." She turns again as if to say he must have missed something.

"Smile for me."

She gives him the biggest grin that she can give, "I mean, your teeth ain't sharp anymore. Congrats."

Charlie groans and lets the disappointment go, "Lets try to check out this place. The portal led us here and it looks tech-y."

She went to open the door, but it was locked. She tugs, and shakes, and pulls. Huffing she goes to break the glass at the door window. "Charlie, wait a m-"

Before Angel can finish Charlie has set off an alarm.

"Is that an alarm?"

"Yes. We ain't in Hell no more. People care about robbery here." He grabs her hand and pulls, "We gotta go before the police come."

It felt like they were in a maze. Angel was leading the way and leading her left and right and straight. Finally they exit the array of alleys and are at an opening to a main street.

They were huffing and trying to catch their breath, "Oh Shit! It's harder to run with these shorter legs."

Charlie looks out on the streets before them and watches as the humans live their daily lives. It was early evening at about six and for once she recognized time differently.

The sun was setting and it was a sight she hadn't seen before. Hell had the forever red hue from the pentagram in the sky. All the people were minding to themselves and there was no killing or cursing or sex in the streets.

It was like nothing she had never seen before.

"Hey Charlie," she was taken out of the moment and looked to Angel, "Aint that your Dad?" Her eyes follow Angel's finger.

And sure enough it was her Dad. He was wearing a different version of his white suit and his human form looked the same as himself but without the cheek markings. His hand was in a womans. The woman shared a bright smile with him and they spoke.

The said woman started to skip while laughing, to which her father followed her lead. They were skipping down the road together.

"I think that might be the demon my Dads dating."

"Well, their disguises are good ones."
