Ladybug slumped down on one of the beams of the Eiffel Tower. She had been trying desperately to find Cat Blanc's akuma, but as she kept trying, she kept failing.
Maybe I should I have given him my Miraculous when I had the chance, at least it would have brought his mother back. I do love him, don't I? Hawkmoth's words stung like an angry hornet, and tears dripped down her cheeks.
"Marinette, you can't hide forever. And when I do, you'll give me your Miraculous." No, she couldn't let Hawkmoth cruel words influence her. She gazed towards the frozen horizon. Just as the sun rose day after day, she wouldn't give up on Cat. Taking a deep breath, she walked out of hiding.
"Here I am, Cat Blanc." He was beautiful, with those chilling ocean blue eyes and perfect white suit. He turned and walked towards her. "There you are. Changed your mind?" "I may have lost this akuma fight," she smiled up at him. "But I haven't lost my love for you." "M'lady, look around," Cat swept his hand around the now dystopian Paris. "Are love did this to the world, but with our Miraculous that can all change."
Ladybug reached forward, taking Cat's hands in hers. "No, our didn't do this to the world, Hawkmoth did. And I want to know, even if I can't bring your mother back, I love you so much." Cat's hands tightened in hers, and he leaned forward, pressing his forehead against hers. "I miss her so much."
"I know, love. And if there's a way to bring her back, we'll do it together." Cat smiled, caressing her cheek. "Now, if you ring my bell, I think you'll find the akuma."
Ladybug grabbed the bell, punching it for all its worth. "Time to DE-evilaze!" she shouted. Then she sat up, it had only been a dream!
"Marinette, you were talking in your sleep," Cat said, as she rubbed her eyes. Had it only been two minutes? Cat. Cat sat beside her, hand wrapped around his, and eyes that were green, not blue. "I'll always keep you safe," Marinette snuggled into his side, giving him a sleepy kiss.
Lost what akuma fight? Even in her dreams, she had kicked Hawkmoth's butt, and that was something to proud of, or maybe she could get another kiss?
