"Adrien, this does not look the movies. And it smells down here!" Marinette pinched her nose. Here she had glamed herself up for a movie date, and Adrien had taken her down to the sewers. "Princess, where's your sense of adventure?" Marinette swatted playfully at his hand as he made to bat her curls.
"My sense of adventure is a comfy seat with a bucket of popcorn on my lap." "We can do that any night. Besides, I have a surprise for you." "If you can make this rain go away, I'll bake you brownies for a week." Adrien grinned. "I may have the power of cuteness, but I don't have power to control the weather. That power belongs to Thor alone." Marinette rolled her eyes. "Okay, newsflash: Your a dork, and have been watching way to many action movies with Plagg." "Correction: I'm your dork, and I would stick to you like Velcro." "Velcro? You know that Velcro is so last season."
Then Marinette couldn't hold in her giggles, and with a snort, she burst into laughter. "There's M'lady."
Water could be heard gurgling and trickling in the pipes, and Marinette turned to Adrien. "You know, its kinda cozy down here just the two of us. How many villains did we fight in the sewers?" "To many. I always had to use more cologne the next day to cover the stink." "Radiant," Marinette put on a exaggerated voice as she skipped down the passageway. "Carefree. Adrien, the Fragrance." "How many times did you watch my commercial?" His kind eyes twinkled. "I'm, uh, not answering."
Just then, Adrien froze. "Oh, come on, love, my acting's not that bad!" "No, sh!" Adrien's eyes were darting around, and Marinette felt a prickle of fear. "Did you hear a squeak?" Marinette grabbed Adrien's arm. "Is there a rat down here?"
Squeak! Squeak! A little mouse darted across the path, and Adrien grabbed Marinette's hand. "Mouse alert! Retreat!"
They flew down the passage until Adrien needed to catch his breath. "I think," he panted, "we lost him." "Oh, come on. The mouse would have accepted your gift of cheese," Plagg floated out of Adrien's shirt. "You'll do anything for cheese, won't you buddy? Cause if I gave your cheese away, we'd have to stop at the cheese store. Anyway…" Adrien said, "We made it to the surprise. Look."
Marinette peered into a crystal clear bubbling pool of water. "Are we even still in the sewer?" "Yes. I've been purifying this part of the water into a hot tub. Transform, and we can get in."
Two minutes, Cat and Ladybug were cuddling in the hot tub, Cat's arm around her shoulder. "This is the life, but do you have any snacks?" Marinette loved snacks. "I may have a secret stash nearby, but no peeking. Oh, hold on, I want to do this first."
Cat leaned close, kissing his partner. "Thanks for putting up with me and sewers, love. Your a good sport, you know." Ladybug kissed him again. "Hey, I'm used to the unexpected. And I wouldn't have any other way."
