Maybe this was a bad idea, Ladybug thought to herself. Who patrols on a windy and rainy night when you could be curled up in a blanket watching a romantic movie?
She and Cat were, apparently. Patrolling, that is. At least they had a blanket, huddled under an eave of a skyscraper. "Ow!" Ladybug winced. She glared down at her partner. "Cat, I'm not a pincushion!" Cat grumbled out a sleepy meow. "Having you heard you need to make biscuits to get comfortable?" Ladybug sighed, she'd have a sore leg tomorrow for certain. "The correct term is kneading."
Eyes still closed, Cat smiled. "Just showing how much I love you." "Love, I poke myself on a daily basis just sewing. I don't need your needle like claws as well." "Just be happy it wasn't a spindle. Then you would die." "You've been reading way to many fairy tales." "I thought you liked them. Prince Charming and the beautiful princess live happily ever after. Who's complaining?"
"There's more ways then that to find a prince. Ever heard of a frog?" Cat gasped, sitting up. "But don't you love your Prince Charming in the suit?" "More like Prince Meowing." "Should I make sure you not a dragon. You seem about to breathe fire." "Hey, at least a fire would keep us warm up here."
"I'm comfy," Cat opened an eye, and winked. "Make sure you take a bath as soon as we're home. I am not sharing a bed with a wet cat." "Yes, dear."
Ladybug giggled. I'm not sure if my husband will never grow up, but that's one of things to like about him.
"You ready to go home?" "Okay."
So, after Cat got dry, the heroes cuddled on the couch. "Mm, this is much better then a rainy rooftop." Ladybug yawned, feeling sleepy. "Good night, love. Don't let the bedbugs bite." Cat's eyes gleamed. "You know your talking about yourself, right?" "Huh?" "Well, your in bed and your a bug…."
"Just kiss me," Ladybug giggled. "Before I have you kiss this pillow instead."
