"Quick, under here!" Adrien grabbed Marinette's hand and ran under one of the awnings just as it was starting to rain. "Adrien, I'm only a little wet," Marinette giggled, fingering her slightly damp pigtails. "And I'm not going to melt!" "Ah, but a girl as sweet as you would," he winked. She laughed, poking his tummy.
"Sugar and spice, and all that's nice,
that's what my Marinette is made of!"
Marinette raised her eyebrow. "Are you trying to give me a hint I should make something sweet when we get home?" "Only if your willing," he told her. "Uh-huh," she rolled her eyes. The rain continued to fall, harder and faster now. "Good thing we ducked under here, its raining cats and dogs!"
"As I recall, I met you falling from the sky," Marinette teased. Adrien took her hands. "Correction my little bug, it was you that fell from the sky, and tangled up in the string!" Marinette loved the feeling of his soft warm hands in hers. "I'll never forget that day," she whispered. Adrien nodded.
"Its kinda chilly, hope it stops soon," Marinette shivered slightly. "I think I can fix that," Adrien told her, softly. Marinette did in fact, feel warm as Adrien kissed her, and wrapped her in his arms for a hug.
For awhile, they stared out at the falling rain. "You know, as civilians we became friends under an umbrella." "You were my very first friend in Paris, as I didn't know you were my Bugaboo at the time." "It might have been raining that day, but you became my sunshine," Marinette whispered.
"Sunshine, your are my sunshine.
You never know dear, how much I love you,
Don't take my sunshine away!"
Marinette laughed and winced at the same time. "Even without the suit, love, no yowling." Adrien was quiet, kissing the top of her head. "He really took my sunshine away," Adrien whispered, thinking of his father. "Don't think of that," Marinette said, taking his cheeks in his. "Think about…." she planted a kiss on Adrien's lips, and the dark thoughts floated free of Adrien's mind.
The rain continued to fall as Parisians strolled by the couple kissing in the rain. It might be a gray day in Paris, but the sun shone in both of the heroes hearts.
