Summary: After defeating a robotic Saldana that was sent to destroy them, the Lotus Ninjas enlist the help of Dalila to battle Lady Shade.
The Shadow Ninjas surrounded Ellie and Dalila, who were standing back-to-back. Two of them charged forward towards Ellie, but Ellie swiftly kicked them away. Six Shadow Ninjas jumped towards Dalila, who swung her wand repeatedly and released multiple white crescent blades of magical energy to hit them.
"How are you doing, Dalila?" Ellie asked.
"Great." Dalila replied with a smile. "This is the most fun I've ever had."
"Good." Ellie said. She turned to see another group of Shadow Ninjas arriving. "Because we've got more company!"
On the bridge, the Shadow Elite charged forward and delivered a series of energized punches and kicks at Ella and Lee. But Lee and Ella evaded their energy-based attacks while firing their own elemental spells at them.
Saldana was handling herself perfectly fine against Sienna and Mira, who began attacking her with dark energy blasts and bolts. With incredible speed, Saldana dodged incoming energy blasts and bolts while firing white energy beams at them.
"Donna, status report?" Lee called through her headset.
In the engine room, Donna already started pulling wires and twisting them together from the electrical panel with her magic.
"I'm rewiring in the engine room." Donna reported. Her eyes moved to the sound of vibrating pistons. "Oh, boy. I better hurry."
In a nick of time, Donna finished rewiring the wires in the electrical panel.
"There." Donna said. She started setting the timer on her watch. "In half an hour this ship is gonna blow up like fireworks."
Donna moved away from behind the electrical panel, but she halted when a group of Shadow Ninjas blocked her path. She rolled her eyes and sighed.
"So, we're doing this, huh?" Donna questioned.
The Shadow Ninjas charged and jumped up in the air with their weapons. But Donna stomped her right boot and sculpted two large rocky fists from the ground, manipulating them to attack the Shadow Ninjas and knocking them all out.
"I win. I didn't calculate the outcome to know that." Donna said.
With that, Donna ran out of the engine room.
Dalila launched a series of white energy bolts from her wand at the Shadow Ninjas that struck them with explosions on contact, sending them to fall on the ground in groaning defeat. The last Shadow Ninja charged towards Daila from behind, but Ellie kicked him away to the ocean water. Ellie and Dalila turned their heads to the freighter ship moving away with one mooring line still attached.
"Dalila, we need to get that last mooring line before the boat sails!" Ellie said.
"I'm on it." Dalila said with a nod.
Dalila aimed her magic wand and magically disintegrated the last mooring bollard out of the wharf into a crisp, allowing the freighter ship to keep moving away.
Ellie turned her head to see a trio of Shadow Ninjas coming in her way.
"It's been fun, but we got a boat to catch! Ta-ta!" Ellie called out as she manipulated the wind and created a large cloud right in front of her.
Ellie hopped on top of the cloud and rode forward, grabbing Dalila by the arm and pulling her on the cloud before soaring off.
Three Shadow Ninjas jumped after Ellie and Dalila, but they fell straight into the ocean water.
Ellie and Dalila traded high-fives with smiles.
Lee and Ella stood fiercely as they became surrounded by the Shadow Elite. They gasped sharply when their eyes caught the sight of Sienna and Mira walking towards them with Saldana being wrapped around in snake-shaped chains.
"Uh no." Lee muttered.
"Make one wrong move on our mom and you're gonna get scorched by me!" Ella shouted threateningly.
"These words don't scare us, tough girl." Sienna said. "Now surrender yourselves or your mother will be eliminated!"
"No." Saldana said. "You can't surrender to the Shadow."
"Sorry, mother…But we don't have a choice." Lee said
Lee and Ella extinguished their magic.
"See? Was that so hard?" Mira teased.
Lee and Ella glared harshly.
In the ship's laboratory, a ringing sound filled the room. Lady Shade and Kage turned their heads to one of the monitor screens, where Sienna's face appeared on it.
"Mother, this is Sienna and Mira. We have captured two of the Lotus and their mother." Sienna reported. "Permission to end them once and for all?"
"But mother, they can't exterminate the Lotus. I promised them their lives as honorable ninjas that we are." Kage said in a doubtful voice. "And as ninjas, we are honorbound to keep our promises."
"What does honorbound have to do with it? Just like your sisters, your loyalty and duty to me and the clan is only of the utmost importance above honor." Lady Shade said.
Kage's eyes widened in complete surprise. He couldn't believe Lady Shade would go against the code of honor like that.
"And to make it interesting, Kage, you will be the Lotus's executioner." Lady Shade added.
Kage gasped quietly, but he slowly composed himself and turned away.
"Yes, mother." Kage said.
Kage entered the bridge, closing and locking the door behind him. He turned around to see Lee, Ella, and Saldana kneeling on the floor while being tied up in snake-shaped chains. With a quiet sigh, Kage walked over to Lee and Ella.
"I was foolish to trust you, Kage." Lee said with a disappointed expression. "So much for your word of honor."
"Leona, I…I am sorry. You and your family should've never come on this ship." Kage said in a hesitant tone. "But…I must follow my mother's orders to slay you all."
"Oh, spare us your so-called sympathy. You're just as bad as Lady Shade." Ella said.
Kage's hands started to glow in a blazing black magical aura.
"Kage, you don't have to do this. You don't have to do Lady Shade's dirty work without a fight." Lee said.
"I am honor bound to serve my mother just like you with your mother." Kage said.
"Then you have no honor." Lee said.
"You are wrong, Leona." Kage snapped.
"In bushido code, honor means everything to a true warrior." Lee said softly. "My mother taught me to live by that code. But can you live with honor? If you can, then here's your chance to prove it."
Kage looked at Lee with a soft face. His hands started shaking with hesitation. He raised his glowing hands as Lee looked at him with narrow eyes. After staring at Lee for a moment, Kage finally lowered his glowing hands.
Sienna and Mira exchanged bewilderment at each other before looking back at their brother.
"It's not like our brother to back down from doing his job." Sienna said.
Mira magically levitated Kage away from Lee.
"Let us show you how it's done here in New York, big brother." Mira said gleefully.
Sienna and Mira stalked Lee, who backed away.
Just when Sienna and Mira were ready to strike Lee, Ellie and Dalila crashed through the window.
"The witchy duo are here!" Ellie cried out.
The Shadow Elite started charging towards Ellie and Dalila, but Dalila waved her wand around and launched a green shining powder towards the Shadow Elite, Sienna, and Mira that instantly knocked them out to the ground into a deep sleep.
Dalila then used her magic wand to free Lee, Ella, and Saldana from the chains.
"Thanks for the save!" Ella cheered.
"Nice job, girls!" Lee praised.
Lee looked over at Kage, who looked down to the floor with a remorse look on his face.
"I have failed my mother. My master." Kage said.
"It is all right. Honor means everything to a ninja when it comes to your duty." Saldana replied as She stepped next to Kage and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.
Kage looked up and Lee smiled at him, which he smiled back.
Then, Donna ran into the bridge.
"Uh, guys. We've got about five minutes before this ship blows up to the bottom of the ocean!" Donna said in alert.
"Time to jet!" Ellie exclaimed.
The Lotus Ninjas, Saldana, and Dalila exited the bridge and ran down a set of stairs. They reached the deck and turned around the corner, but they quickly stopped when they found Lady Shade and a group of functional Shadow Droids standing in their path.
"Well, well, well. What a surprise." Lady Shade spoke.
"Lady Shade!" Lee exclaimed. "We should've known we'd meet again!"
"Yes. But this time, it will be our last." Lady Shade said.
When Lady Shade snapped her fingers, the Shadow Droids charged forward. The Lotus Ninjas and Dalila charged as well. Both groups began battling each other, leaving Saldana and Lady Shade face off against each other.
"We're here again." Lady Shade said.
"Until one of us falls." Saldana replied with narrow eyes.
Lady Shade and Saldana charged forward and they clashed with their magic.
One of the Shadow Droids morphed his arms into katana swords. He began swinging his katana swords at Donna, who dodged each slash coming in her way. Donna lifted a large boulder out of the ocean water and flung it forward that hit the Shadow Droid away off the ship and into the ocean. Dalila manifested large white star-shaped barriers that strongly withstand slashing buzzsaws from three Shadow Droids right in front of her. Dalila then dropped the star-shaped barriers and swung her wand to fire white crescent-like blades of magical energy at the three Shadow Droids. Four Shadow Droids attacked Lee with morphic drills, but Lee avoided them with water shields from her hands. Lee then dropped her water shields and manifested four balls of water above her head, releasing pressurized streams of water toward them. Ellie generated a large tornado that sucked six Shadow Droids with huge morphic mace-heads inside and sent them flying into the ocean water.
Two Shadow Droids began striking Ella with their morphic sais, but Ella zigzagged with backflips. Ella jumped in the air and launched fireballs at them from her hands. But one of the fireballs was flying straight towards the fuel barrels, exploding them and setting off a chain reaction that almost ripped the freighter ship in half.
The rest of the Shadow Droids started falling through the opening deck. But Ellie quickly created a large cloud under her boots and rode it at high speed, grabbing and picking up her sister and her yokai witch friend off the freighter ship.
Saldana and Lady Shade fell and landed on their feet as they continued battling each other with their magic. Lady Shade's magic finally hit Saldana hard to the floor. As Saldana laid on the ground with a groan, Lady Shade walked over to her and lifted her glowing black hand up in the air.
"Goodbye…forever!" Lady Shade said with an evil smile. She turned her head to the Lotus Ninjas and Dalila, who were hovering above her. "I have tolerated you meddling mystics for far too long. Just like your mother, you all will perish on this ship. This is the end!"
"Not quite yet." Saldana said as she floated off the ground and into the air.
Saldana outstretched her arms and created countless white energy orbs that directed them towards Lady Shade from above. Before Lady Shade could strike with her magic, Saldana fired all of the white energy orbs down at Lady Shade all at once, slamming her right down through the floor and completely out of sight into the ocean water.
"Oh, no. We've got less than a minute to get out of here." Donna said in alert.
"Let's go, mother!" Lee yelled at Saldana.
Saldana sprang up on Ellie's cloud.
In quick speed, Ellie soared off with her mystic family and her yokai witch friend.
Ellie's cloud quickly soared and finally landed everyone on the wharf. Once everyone jumped off the cloud, they all turned and looked out over the river just in time to watch massive explosions destroying the entire freighter ship. Then, the freighter ship sank straight into the ocean.
"Lotus Clan: 1. Shadow Clan: 0." Lee said.
"Let's head home, everyone." Saldana said.
Then, the Lotus Ninjas, Saldana, and Dalila took their leave out of the docks.
A helicopter flew over the field of debris floating on the river. Inside the helicopter, Kage piloted the flying vehicle and scanned the water with his magic. His eyes widened when Lady Shade's head rose up from the river. Kage lowered the harness down, allowing his mother to grab onto it and was pulled from the river.
With that, the helicopter flew away.
