When Hatsuki woke up, she was in what appeared to be a hospital bed. "Oh, you've finally woken up." An elderly woman's voice addressed her.

She sat up in bed and slowly turned her head to look at her. There was a tiny, elderly woman standing there. She went on, "You can just call me Recovery Girl."

"There is no need for you to speak with me, but you have a visitor." As she sat at her computer, she said, "I'm glad you weren't hurt too badly, unlike that poor boy from the exam."

The poor boy in the exam? Hatsuki pondered. When everything came back to her, her eyes widened. "Midoriya!" she exclaimed loudly.

"Is he okay?" She turned to face Recovery Girl.

"He's fine, dear; don't worry about him; instead, concentrate on getting better and recovering yourself." She turned to face her.

"Okay, you said I had a visitor," Chiyo replied.

"Yes, I did. The recovery girl explained that she had been waiting outside the entire time until you woke up." She rose from her seat and walked over to the door. telling the girl who has been waiting for Hatsuki to come in.

Soon after, both of them entered. Hatsuki's face lit up when she realized who was waiting for her. "Haruna!"

"Hatsuki I'm glad you're awake. I was worried." She embraced her younger sister in a hug.

As her older sister let go of her, Hatsuki asked, "How long have I been out for?"

"You've been sleeping since the practical exam. The sun has already gone down. I was afraid you'd put yourself in a coma or something."

Hatsuki laughed. "I'm glad I didn't." I just didn't realize how much of my quirk I was putting to use."

"Recovery Girl, Is she well enough to go home now?" Haruna asked.

"Yes, she is, and you are free to leave."

"Just be more cautious, dear. When you arrived, your body was almost fully depleted of energy, but thanks to my quirk, most of your energy was restored."

"Make sure you eat something when you get home," the recovery girl advised.

"Thank you very much." As she rose from her bed, Hatsuki bowed. and gathered her belongings as she prepared to go home with Haruna.

...

Hatsuki remembered that Izuku didn't get any points on the exam as they were leaving the school's nurse's office, so she went to speak with Present Mic about it.

When she entered the room, she noticed the girl Midoriya had saved leaving as she walked in.

"Excuse me," she said. Present Mic then turned to face her.

"I was wondering if it was possible for me to give some of my points to Izuku Midoriya. He didn't get a single point, but he saved both me and the other girl."

"So I just thought he deserved some kind of point," explained Hatsuki.

Mic just looked at her and patted her on the head. "There's no need to be concerned about him. A student just came in and said she wanted to do the same thing."

"You can't give him any of your points, as I told her, but he passed based on his rescue points even though he didn't receive any villain points." Present Mic smiled.

Hatsuki returned a bright smile. "Thank you," she said as she exited the room. Haruna was waiting for her.

"So, how did it go?" she inquired.

Hatsuki only smiled before walking out of the building.

Hmm, I overheard a little. So, who is Izuku? Do you like him? Haruna leaned into her sister's face, teasing a bit.

"No," said Hatsuki, shaking her head. "He only helped me during the exam."

"Okay..."

Haruna shrugged as she began skipping ahead of her sister.

...

After the exam, a week passed. And Hatsuki was waiting for a response from the U.A. with bated breath.

Every now and then, she would check the mailbox to see if a letter from school had arrived.

It was evening, and her family had just finished dinner and was preparing to clean up. Hatsuki's job was to bring all the dishes and pass them to her mother to be washed.

Haruna then took the clean dish, dried it with a towel, and put it away.

Hatsuki was preoccupied with how she was going to get into U.A. She had no idea she had zoned out.

"Hatsuki, Hatsuki, Hatsuki!" Her mother called her name a third time.

She jerked her head to the left, almost dropping the dish in her hand, as she looked at her mother.

"We don't want to be doing this all night, sweetheart, so hand me the plate," her mother said. Her hand was extended, ready to grab the silver plate.

Hatsuki apologized as she handed her the plate. Then her mother sighed. "Hatsuki, as much as I would prefer you not to be doing this, please be patient. I'm sure you were accepted."

Both Haruna and Hatsuki were at a loss for words for a brief moment. Hatsuki would never have guessed her mother would say something so encouraging about her wanting to get into the U.S.

Hatsuki once again didn't realize she had begun walking away from the sink involuntarily. She left and went straight to the mailbox, hoping the letter had arrived. Her mother was once again waiting for the last dish to be cleaned when she noticed Hatsuki wasn't there.

"Hatsuki!" she yelled.

"It's already dark outside, for the fifth time today. They're not going to drop it off now!" Hatsuki walked out the front door, and her mother yelled.

Haruna burst out laughing. Her mother then turned to face her. "Did I say something amusing?" she asked, raising her brow.

Haruna immediately stopped laughing and resumed drying the dishes as she was supposed to.

...

Hatsuki arrived at the mailbox and quickly opened it to inspect the contents. Within the mailbox was a single white envelope with a red seal.

She took it in her hands and held it in her palm. She read the name of the seal, which was imprinted with a U.S. symbol. Hatsuki stared blankly at the envelope for a moment. Until her brain realized that it was indeed from the school,

Her face lit up with excitement, and she dashed inside until she ran into the door, stumbling back a bit before fully opening the door and running inside the house.

"It's finally here! It's finally here!" As she returned to the kitchen, she cheered excitedly.

"Huh!?" Her mother was taken aback.

Haruna said, "Seriously," as she dashed to the kitchen doorway. grabbing a hold of the letter. "Did you open it yet?" she asked.

"No, not yet," shook Hatsuki's head.

"So, what are you two waiting for?" Her mother quickly grabbed the envelope and ripped it open, revealing a round device on the dining room table.

They huddled around the device as it lit up, and a screen projection appeared. When All Might emerged and began speaking, they backed up.

"Huh," said both she and her sister at the same time.

"Hatsuki Chiyo, I am here on this projection screen. To let you know that you passed the practical exam. Hello and welcome to the U.A. Academia." When All Might was finished, the screen vanished.

"I passed. No way I actually passed!" Hatsuki exclaimed in surprise.

"You passed!" Haruna embraced Hatsuki in a tight hug.

The two of them then began squealing and jumping up and down, clasping their hands together. Hatsuki was so enthralled that she didn't notice when her quirk began to act on its own and the lights in the kitchen began to flicker.

"Hatsuki, your quirk," her mother observed as the two of them performed their celebratory dance.

When Hatsuki realized what was going on, she stopped jumping and let go of Haruna's hands, and the lights returned to normal.

As she became concerned, she turned to her sister.

"Haruna, are you okay?" she inquired.

"Yes." She tried to brush it off but almost collapsed. Haruna was then quickly caught by their mother.

"Hatsuki, please," she begged. She expressed her concern.

"Sorry, Mom," her face became solemn.

"Just try your hardest from now on to control your quirk at U.A. Okay," her mother said with a slight smile.

Hatsuki's sadness faded, despite the fact that she knew her mother was still opposed to her decision. She appreciated that she was attempting to encourage her more than she had previously.

"Come on, let's get the kitchen cleaned up for tonight. Before your father gets home, her mother said,

Hatsuki's dream high school life had begun on that day.
