April soon arrived. Hatsuki stood at the front door, waiting for Haruna to hurry up and finish getting ready for the first day of classes at U.A.

"Haruna Are you finally done? I don't want to be late for my first day of school," Hatsuki exclaimed.

"Wait for a second; I'll be right there." She walked into the corridor, her bag slung over her shoulder.

"Are you sure you two didn't forget anything?' their father asked them. as he was getting ready to leave with them.

"We're confident," Haruna responded.

"Okay, then."

"Be cautious, you three. Better come home later today, alright?" Their mother followed them on their way, saying goodbye to each of them.

Hatsuki and Haruna were already out the door before their father followed behind. Their mother held him back.

"Honey, do you really think Hatsuki will be fine?" She asked, her face worried.

He put his hand on her shoulder and said, "Dear, you worry too much." I understand, but I've been thinking about this for a while now, and we just have to let her grow up eventually.

"We will always be her parents, no matter what. even if we won't be able to keep her safe forever. Let us just do our best for her while we can. For both of them, it is a matter of fact."

"I know it's just that we nearly lost her once. I don't want it to happen again," she expressed concern.

"Have some faith, honey, okay?" He then kissed his wife goodbye before leaving for work.

...

The acceptance rate for U.A. High's hero course is less than one in three hundred every year. Other than the four people admitted through recommendations, 36 were admitted through the regular exam.

Both Hatsuki and Haruna arrived at school, but once there, they parted ways because the third and first years were in different classes.

Hatsuki was alone as a result. and she got quite lost while looking for her class.

Why is this school so large that it's like a maze? Hatsuki grumbles while following a school layout map her sister created.

Is Haruna certain she did everything correctly? She bumped into someone in the hall because she wasn't paying attention. resulting in her fall.

"Oh, my bad. That was so unmanly," he says. Are you okay?" He then turned around and extended his hand.

Hatsuki reached for his hand but then remembered what happened to Haruna when they were in the kitchen. She then returned her hand to herself and stood up.

This caught the boy off guard, and he had a puzzled expression, which Hatsuki noticed.

"Oh, don't misunderstand, I didn't grab your hand because I was trying to be rude; it's just because of my quirk. As you can see," she then began rambling.

"Okay, don't worry about it." He smiled. "Sounds like you've got a manly quirk."

She became shy and lowered her head. But she remembered she was looking for her class, so she decided that she was going to ask him where classroom 1-A was.

"Hey, by any chance, do you happen to know where Classroom 1-A for the hero course is?" she asked.

"You're also in class 1-A?" he smiled. "Yeah, I was just heading over there; it's not too far from here."

"Thank you, um..." she paused, unsure of his name.

"By the way he said, My name is Ejiro Kirishima," and they started walking to the classroom together.

"Thank you very much, Kirishima," she stated. Following closely behind him, she introduced herself as Hatsuki Chiyo.

"It's nice to meet you, Chiyo."

"Oh, just call me Hatsuki; it sounds better," she said.

"Okay, then, Hatsuki it is."

The two of them then arrived at the class 1-A sign and came to a halt in front of the door.

The door is enormous; they both agreed but then laughed. Ejiro then opened the door for them both.

When they walked into the classroom, it appeared that they were the first two to arrive, so they both chose a seat. For the time being

Hatsuki, being Hatsuki, chose the seat in the back where she always felt the most comfortable, right next to the windows.

She always felt more comfortable in a quiet corner of the room, where she would not be noticed. Aside from that, being near a window assisted in keeping her quirk stable during class. If it acted up, it would absorb solar energy that was coming from the sun and keep it in place.

This also aided Hatsuki because she was able to store that energy when not in use. Fortunately, her quirk hasn't gotten as out of hand as it did before school started and while she was still in junior high. except for that one time with Katsuki.

...

It was just Ejiro and Hatsuki in the classroom for a while. They didn't say much to each other and remained silent while waiting for the other students.

Then there was the sound of the next student opening the door. As the door opened, Ejiro and Hatsuki both looked at it. When Hatsuki saw the next student, she felt a shiver run down her spine. It was the individual she hoped was in the other class.

Bakugou, Katsuki His stare was drawn to her, and Ejiro rose to greet him, but he ignored him and sat at a desk without saying anything to either of them.

The class gradually filled up with the rest of the students, one by one. Katsuki then sat with his legs propped up on the desk, just like he did in junior high. Another student noticed. He had classes and was the one who complained about Izukus muttering during the entrance exam orientation.

"Don't put your feet on the desk!" he yelled.

"Huh?" Bakugou gave a cocky smile.

"Don't you think that's rude to the U.A. upperclassmen?" The student explained. "And to the people who made the desk?"

"Nope. What junior high did you go to, you side character?"

"I attended Somei Private Academy. My name is Tenya Iida," he introduced himself, his hand on his chest.

"Somei? So you're a dam elite, huh?"

"It looks like I'll have fun crushing you."

"You would threaten me? Your own classmate, are you sure you're in the right place?" Iida said.

Their attention and everyone else was drawn to the door when they became quiet.

"It's him," Iida said.

"Huh, hi," Midoriya said as he became nervous with everyone staring at him.

When she saw Katsuki and Izuku were going to be in the same class as her, she was taken back to when they were still in junior high. and their teacher mentioned them going to the U.A.
...

"I can't believe we have three students from our school matriculating into U.A."

"Especially you, Midoriya, it's a miracle," the teacher exclaimed.

"huh? Three, who's the third one?" Bakugou asked, annoyed.

"Oh, Hatsuki Chiyo, one of your classmates, also passed and got into U.A. I spoke to her earlier," the teacher said.

Katsuki had taken Izuku to a place behind the school and thrown him against the wall, grabbing him by the collar of his uniform.

"What dirty tricks did you use to get in, Huh?"

"The first student from his school to get into U.A."

"My future plan has already been torn to pieces. I told you to go somewhere else!" Bakugou screamed at Izuku.

After their talk, Katsuki let go of Izuku. Whatever, just stay out of my way, he said again. "Now I gotta go find that other Nerd and tell her to stay out of my way!" he said, walking away angrily.

You could only imagine Katsuki's delight when he found her. She was walking out of school when she saw him, and he approached her.

"Hey, you're Hatsuki Chiyo?" He questioned me angrily.

"Yeah," she said, puzzled by the fact that he was even speaking to her.

"Who told you to get in my way?" With the palm of his hands, he unleashed his quirk.

Startled, Hatsuki screeched and flinched back, dropping the notebooks in her hand and getting scorched by his quirk.

It irritated her greatly. "What is your problem? Picking up her books, she yelled back at him. "When have I ever gotten in your way?!

"I was supposed to be the only one from this crappy school to get into U.A., as I told that annoying nerd Deku."

He continued to yell, "Who told you you could go there?" His yelling still startled her, but not enough to keep her quiet.

"Who are you to tell me which school I should attend? You're just some cocky bastard from my class," she said.

"You don't have control over U.A. Whether you like it or not, I can go wherever I want."

"I swear you once we're in the U.A. I'll make sure you're at the bottom, you damn extra. I'm going to crush you and force you to eat your words."

He continued yelling, "I'm going to be number one!" which was unsurprising at this point. Katsuki shoving her to the ground was what caught her off guard.

She looked at him, terrified, as it appeared he was going to use his quirk against her. She raised her hand to stop him as his palms began to heat up.

She was so frightened that she lost control of her quirk, and it began absorbing the energy force from Bakugous' attack, forming a large, colorful sphere that just shot off.

He was caught off guard when he noticed that his quirk wasn't working as quickly as it should have. Furthermore, Hatsuki's sphere vanished before his eyes. So he assumed her attack had failed. But he had no idea what was going to happen next.

Without enough reaction time, an explosion erupted in his face, blowing him back onto the ground. It wasn't so much that she attacked him and shook him for a second. It was that the force of her attack was as powerful as, if not more powerful than, his own explosion quirk.

Fortunately, no one else was around to witness what had just happened between them. But it's not as if he didn't react at all. That infuriated him even more.

Hatsuki quickly got up and reached out her hand to him before the backlash of involuntary absorbing the energy from his quirk hit her.

"I'm sorry," she said, offering her hand to help him back up.

He only gave her a glance before slapping her hand away.

Despite his anger, exhaustion silenced him, another side effect of Hatsuki's quirk. He merely stood up and walked away.

They hadn't spoken since that day, and Katsuki wouldn't even look at her until he walked into the classroom.

...

The gravity girl from the exam was also to be in the class. Tenya, Izuku and she were conversing at the door. until they turned around and appeared terrified. Hatsuki sat there watching them.

Shoto Aizawa, the homeroom teacher for Class 1-A, turned out to be the culprit. Everyone was taken aback. Despite the fact that he had just walked in, he ordered everyone to change into uniforms and proceed to the field.

Once everyone had changed, they all made their way to the field. Aizawa started speaking. and informed them that they would be taking an evaluation test, but this was no ordinary evaluation.

"A quirk assessment test?" Everyone yelled at the same time.
