"What about the entrance ceremony? The Orientation?" Hatsuki asked.

"If you're going to become a hero, you don't have time for such leisurely events." With his back to them all, Aizawa replied.

"The U.A.'s selling point is how unrestricted its school traditions are. That's also how the teachers run their classes," he said, turning his head and looking at everyone.

"You kids have been doing these since junior high, too, right?" He then turned to face the class. "Physical fitness tests where you weren't allowed to use your quirks The country still uses averages taken from results from students not using their quirks. It's not rational," Azaiwa went on. "Well, the Ministry of Education is procrastinating."

He then began speaking to Katsuki. "Bakugo, you finished at the top of the practical exam, right?"

"In junior high, what was your best result for the softball throw? he asked him."

"67 meters," Bakugo responded.

"Then try doing it with your quirk," Aizawa said. Then Katsuki moved into the center of one of the field's circles. Everyone was curious to see how far he could throw the softball using his quirk.

Hatsuki kept a close eye on her because she expected her to do the same thing. This concerned her because she didn't want to lose control of her quirk and hurt someone. or embarrass herself by falling down.

Katsuki then began to stretch in preparation for throwing the softball. He then threw the ball with all his might, and it blasted off into the air.

"Die!" he shouted as he threw it.

"Die!" both Hatsuki and Izuku said together in surprise.

"Know your own maximum first, Aizawa said as the ball fell to the ground, and then his phone beeped. turning around to face the class. "That is the most rational way to form the foundation of a hero."

Some of the other students were astounded to see Katsuki's score of 705.2 meters. The class began to get excited about being able to use their quirks in the test.

Mr. Aizawa didn't seem too pleased about it. "It looks fun, huh?" he said, everyone's excited mood dropping.

"You have three years to become a hero. Will you have an attitude like that the whole time? All right. Whoever comes in last place in all eight tests will be judged to have no potential," he said with a mischievous smile.

"And will be punished with expulsion."

"HUH!?" The class erupted. Hatsuki felt her heart drop, and her nerves shot through the air at that moment. For a brief moment, she felt as if she couldn't breathe.

I'm done for!

"We're free to do what we want about the circumstances of our students. Welcome to the U.A.'s hero course!" Aizawa lifted his head up, pulling some of his hair back as he smiled at the class.

The gravity girl began to complain that being expelled on the first day was unjust. Hatsuki agreed with her until Aizawa said something else.

"Natural disasters, big accidents, and selfish villains Calamities whose time or place can't be predicted. Japan is covered with unfairness. Heroes are the ones who reverse those situations. "

"If you wanted to go talk with your friends at Mickey D's after school, too bad. For the next three years, at U.A. will do all it can to give you one hardship after another. "

"Go beyond Plus Ultra. Overcome it with all you have."

After he finished, everyone became determined to do their best during the test, no matter what, even if they weren't sure how they would pull it off just yet.

...

The first test consisted of a 50-meter dash. Hatsuki was never good at those, but with her quirk, she was confident she could at least get a decent score; she just wasn't sure she could pull it off.

Her quirk reaction after being released was delayed, so she'd have no choice but to start activating her quirk before they were told to begin.

To get across quickly, I need to pull off a nice, decent blast. I just don't want to expend too much energy, or I'll be out for the rest of the test.

What if it gets out of hand? What if the sphere simply takes off in the wrong direction? As she watched each of her classmates go team by team, she worried to herself.

Izuku and Katsuki are the second-to-last teams to go. Hatsuki was keeping a close eye on Izuku, wondering if he was going to use his quirk like in the entrance exam.

Izuku took Hatsuki by surprise. She was perplexed as to why he didn't make use of his quirk. In fact, she was surprised he had one at all.

But now that their test was over, it was her turn, and she was nervous.

A voice tapping her shoulder said, "Hey Hatsuki, it looks like we're up."

When she looked back after she had flinched out of her thoughts, she saw that it was only Eijiro. "I'm sorry I scared you," he said.

"Sorry for being jittery. Let's do our best," says Hatsuki, raising her fist in the air.

They both got into position and were ready to start the race. She realized she needed to absorb energy. She focused by closing her eyes. concentrating solely on the energy emitted by the sun

She made certain that her palms were facing behind her when she placed her hands down, and she felt a sphere form within both of her palms.

She was aware of everyone around her. and their own aura, she noticed her body absorbing more than it should. She panicked a little and shot open her eyes as soon as they were told to begin.

She was off, and with her arm behind her, she released the spheres, which vanished. and she kept running alongside Eijiro until, a minute later, a blast went off and she flew away, finishing the 50-meter race.

The robot watching them said 5.06 seconds.

Hatsuki jumped for joy when she realized it worked. But there were still seven more tests to go.

What surprised her was that she didn't get tired, despite the fact that normally releasing two spheres at once would.

She still had to be cautious. She wasn't sure how she was going to throw the ball while also releasing her quirk. Aside from the fact that she'll be touching a ball, she'll have her own body's energy to use her quirk on an inanimate object.

Each test passed, and when it came time for the ball toss, it was gravity's girl's turn to go, and everyone watched as she threw the ball.

When her score was returned, it was infinite.

"That's amazing," said Hatsuki.

After her, it was Izuku's' turn to throw the ball, and the look on his face said it all.

"Huh? Of course not. He's a quirky small fry, you know," Bakagou said.

Hatsuki was standing right next to them when he said it.

"Qurikless?! Are you not aware of what he did in the entrance exam?" Ilda asked in surprise.

"Huh?"

that's right Katsuki wasn't in battle center B, so he doesn't know about Izuku's quirk, Hatsuki thought to herself.

Izuku's entire hand and arm lit up as he prepared to throw the ball; the minute it was released from his grip, the ball fell 45 meters.

Everyone was taken aback. As to why the ball did not travel very far, Mr. Aizawa, on the other hand, had erased his quirk.

No one in the class recognized him, but when Hatsuki and Izuku took the minute, he used his quirk.

Eraserhead was the underground hero. He began scolding Izuku for using his quirk, then went on to say he had no potential.

However, he gave him another chance to throw the ball. So he tried once more. and this time it was spectacular.

He threw the ball, which blasted off into the air, surprising the entire class. Katsuki in particular. The most impressive aspect was that he did not break his entire arm and hand this time; only his index finger was broken.

He received a score of 705.3. Hatsuki was astounded by how much he'd grown. To be completely honest, she was curious as to how he acquired his quirk.

Of course, he's new to the rest of the class. But it didn't make sense to Katsuki and Hatsuki.

Truth be told, Katsuki was enraged. In front of everyone, he launched an attack on Izuku. Hatsuki could feel his energy radiating from him. He was not only enraged, but he also believed he had been deceived.

How did a boy who lacked any quirks develop one? Especially out of the blue, she was definitely curious. Katsuki, no doubt, did as well.

then restrained him with his binding clothes in order to prevent him from murdering Izuku on the first day of school. He then directed the next person to go, which she happened to be.

But she couldn't concentrate on that. It was now her turn to throw the softball.

She, like everyone else, stood in the center of the circle. Even though she was nervous, she believed she could do it.

She inhaled deeply. All I have to do now is release the sphere at the same time as the ball. Just don't break the ball, she told herself.

She was extremely nervous. But then she noticed Izuku watching her. Okay, Hatsuki, you don't make yourself look like a fool; remember, anything is possible.

within her right hand, which was holding the softball while attempting to throw from the sphere with all the other tests they had to do and concentrating on just one object in her hand. She couldn't absorb any new energy, so she had to rely on what she already had to pull this off.

She threw the ball as hard as she could into the air, simultaneously releasing her sphere. Everyone was paying attention. It vanished mid-air, as it usually does, and the ball appeared to fall, but there was a shorter delay time.

Before she could fully lower her arm, the sphere exploded, launching the ball into the air. and then landed on the ground.

Mr. Aizawa's phone rang, and he displayed the score to the class. 705.3 meters

"She received the same score as Midiorya," the class exclaimed in awe.

One of her classmates commented, "Wow, her quirk looked so pretty."

As content as Hatsuki She was exhausted, and everything began to spin. Before she collapsed to the ground, caught her.

He asked, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, "she nodded quietly. He said, "I don't think you should finish the rest of the test."

"No, I can keep going." She was adamant.

"Okay, then," he said, letting her go.

...

After that, they finished the rest of the test, and both she and Izuku collapsed to the ground as everyone gathered around to look at the scoreboard.

Hatsuki finished in third-to-last place. The only tests she could complete were the softball throw and the 50-meter dash. Izuku had come last, she noticed.

"And I was lying; no one is going home," Mr. Aizawa said, and then the scoreboard went away.

"That was just a rational deception to make sure you gave it your all," he said, giving a smile as he spoke, everyone staring in shock.

"What!" the majority of the class said.

Hatsuki let out a sigh but then fell as her exhaustion took over.

"I'm surprised most of you didn't figure it out. Sorry, I probably should have said something," one of the girls in the class said with her hand at her hip.

"I'm just glad it's over," Hatsuki huffed.

"That's it; we're done for the day. Pick up a syllabus in the classroom. read it over before tomorrow morning," the class was instructed as the teacher started to walk away.

"Midoriya, take this and have the old lady fix you up." handed a slip to Izuku.

"Chiyo, you go with him," he said as he walked away.

"Okay," Hatsuki said, still sitting on the floor, not able to get up on her own.

"Chiyo, do you need help?" Midoriya inquired, his gaze fixed on her, still on the ground.

"Yes," she said, turning her head slowly to look at him.

"Let me help you as well," the gravity girl said. Together, they helped Hatsuki to her feet.

"Are you going to need help walking to the nurses' office?" she asked.

"No, I'm fine walking; thank you." Hatsuki gave her a smile.

She introduced herself as Ochako.

"Thank you very much, Ochako."

Then Izuku and Hatsuki both went to the nurses' office. It was quiet on the way there.

"Midoriya, uh..." She said it quietly. He then turned to face her. I am waiting to hear what she says. "As always, I appreciate your help," she stated.

For a brief moment, he stared at her blankly. But then he recalls her from the entrance exam and how she collapsed, nearly being injured by the zero-pointer robot.

His face flushed brightly. "You're very welcome," With his hands, waving

Hatsuki started laughing, and he did as well as they got to the office. They both entered, and the recovery girl looked back at them.

"Seeing you two so soon, already," she remarked. "Now, what appears to be the issue?"

My finger Izuku said she was showing it to the recovery girl. She then kissed his finger, and he let out a scream.

Wow, that feels so much better already. but now I feel super tired. I need a nap, he said.

"That's how I feel," Hatsuki said drowsily.

"My quirk stimulates your ability to heal. but healing takes energy. If you get too many big injuries, your stamina will be shot, and you'll die," she said.

"You mean this could kill me? he shouted.

Hatsuki replied, "I think it's best if you don't use your quirk on me."

"My quirk already saps a lot of my energy," said Hatsuki.

"Okay, so then here," she said. The recovery girl took out a bottle of gummy vitamins.

"These are specifically B12 vitamin gummy bears that should help you until you're able to go home and eat something," the recovery girl smiled as she handed her a gummy bear from the bottle.

"Thank you," said Hatsuki.

Then they both left the office and started walking out of the school together. "Hey, thank you for returning my notebook," Midoriya spoke up.

"your notebook?" She furrowed her brow.

"Oh, your hero analysis notebook?" Hatsuki wondered aloud.

"That's the right one. I had no idea you went to my and Kachann's junior high, he said.

Hatsuki's face turned a little red. "I just kept to myself."

"Why do you call Bakugo Kacchan when he's always picking on you?" Hatsuki wondered.

"We used to be friends until he developed his quirk." Midoriya described the situation as "complicated."

"Oh, okay..." Hatsuki thought it would be a good idea to ask questions about his quirk at that moment.

Tenya interrupted her by tapping Izuku on the shoulder. frightening both of them.
hey there Ilda midoirya said.

"Hey!" Hatsuki waved.

"How's the finger doing?" he asked.

"Oh, it's all better," Midoriya responded.

"Chiyo, how are you feeling?" He then turned to look at her.

"I'm perfectly fine." She pouted and turned away from Ilda.

"What was that all about?" he wondered.

"Sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude; I'm just tired," she said, rubbing the back of her head.

"Okay," he said as they continued walking.

Ilda, you got in the way. This was my chance to question him about his mysterious quirk, and you couldn't help but bud in. She lowered her hand and looked ahead once more.

Then a high-pitched voice called out from the distance. So the three of them turned around, and it was Ochako.

"Hey, are you guys going to the station? I'll join you guys. She ran up to the three of them.

"You're the infinity girl," Ilda said.

"I'm Ochako Uraraka," she smiled, her hands warping around the straps of her bag.

"Let's see your Tenya Ilda and your She looked at Hatsuki. Your name is Hatsuki Chiyo. I never thanked you for helping out with the entrance exam," she said.

"Hatsuki started to blush a bit and looked to the ground. Oh, it was no problem," she said.

"Now let's see..."

"Deku, right?" she smiled. looking at Izuku

"Deku?" he said.

"Isn't that what Bakugo called you during the fitness test?" she said.

"Deku, you bastard!"

"Oh well, my name is actually Izuku; deku is what Kachann calls me to make fun of me," he explained.

"Oh, I didn't realize that."

But, you know, I like Deku. It could make a cool hero name. Plus, I think it sounds kind of cute, she said.

"Deku it is!" Midoirya's face became bright red.

"Just like that!" both Tenya and Hatsuki said at the same time.

Weren't you just saying that it's an insult?"

"Paradime shift; my whole world is upside down." Izuku covered his face with his hands.

"Wait what?" Ochaco said. Hatsuki looked confused as well.

They continued walking home together. Hatsuki was overjoyed. She hadn't walked home with anyone before. She began to believe she could finally break out of her shell and make friends.
