How do you turn your eyes From the romantic glare.
Sango laid her head on Miroku's shoulder and held his arm as they stood under the stars.
Rin and Shippo sat with the elder Miko and watched with slight blushes on their faces.
"Rin you wanna marry me?" Shippo innocently asked,
"Sure!"
Sesshomaru slid his eyes to the kit. He knew it was innocent, sort of.
"Now Inuyasha do you take Kikyo as your wife, forsaking all others," Miroku said,
Inuyasha looked into Kikyos eyes. They were no longer dull with death but full of life. This was their happy ending, yet something slightly tugged on his soul, and it took everything not to look back at Kagome, who stood a few feet away from his brother.
"Hia," He said,
"And Kikyo, do you take Inuyasha as your husband, forsaken all others even in death?"
Her answer was swift: "Hia." She had been through hell, and came back, there would be no hesitation from her ever again.
"Then you may kiss your bride."
Inuyasha leaned in, Kikyo met him and their lips touched.
Sesshomaru looked away, but his eyes settled on Kagome. She held her hands tight to her chest, and she had a smile on her face, but he knew what her mind was thinking. She wanted that.
But she would not find it with him, so he hoped she would not look his way. But then what did that say about him because he was looking at her?
She must have felt it because her green eyes met with his. She wanted to look away as soon as her eyes met his. His kiss was still freash on her mind but so was his rejection of anytihing else.
But he was glaring at her almost with a look she could not describe.
Soon, they were the only ones standing there. "What?" She said,
He finally looked away. "The wolf is coming."
Kagome groaned.
Sure enough, he came running in and stopped in her path. "Yo, babe."
She blushed. "Um, hi Kouga"
"Woah, the jewel is in you. I can sense it!" He reached out and placed his hand under her breast at her ribs. She slapped his hand. "Hey, watch it, buddy!"
"Wolf, if you wish to keep your hand, I suggest you keep it to yourself," Sesshomaru added,
Kouga ignored him. "Why are you being so shy? You're here; has mated. Lets mate!"
Sesshomaru looked from the wolf to Kagome to see her reaction. She crossed her arms. "You have a woman, Kouga, and it ain't me."
He kicked dirt. "Hey, you can blame a guy for trying!"
She pinched his ear and held it,
"Ow Kagome, let go. I was only kidding!"
"I dont want to see you again till you're mated. You got that!"
"Ok ok owe let go!"
Kagome let him go along with a little of her power. His tail went down, and he rubbed his ear. "Man, you're mean,"
"Kouga," She growled out,
"Ok, ok, I get it dont piss off the Miko," Then he flashed her a big smile before taking off again.
She took in a deep breath then she looked at Sesshomaru again. "What?"
His gold eyes bore into hers. "They will not stop; you are nothing more than a replacement for her."
It hurt, really hurt. He watched her eyes darken. "I am not Kikyo," She spits out. "You are a real jerk you know that!"
She turned, but he grabbed her "Miko."
She yanked her hand away and slapped him. "Leave me alone, Sesshomaru; I get it. There is no reason for you to hurt my feelings because you are afraid of your own!"
She turned and ran from him, not like she could get away. But he stood there shocked.
No one had ever slapped him before. He had not seen it coming.
His words had been all wrong, her responce was not. Though she would pay hurting him, of course he was paying for hurting her.
That damn bitch hand stung.
"Damn, you can be so insensitive, you know that."
Sesshomaru growled and his eyes showed death. "Do not speak to me half-breed about being insentive."
