Chapter 2:
Arriving at the gate room, Aiden looks nervous, he hasn't left the galaxy since he got called back to fight Nirrti. Kai has never been to Atlantis. So, he doesn't know what to expect. Aiden just smirks, "Relax, Colonel Sheppard is a good man, I trust him.". Kai relaxed a little. "Good.".
Stepping through, Aiden feels the familiar rush, arriving, Sheppard was waiting, "Aiden! How are you!". Aiden shakes hands with his friend, "Doing well, how's the fam?". John smiled, "Teyla's great, Torren is great, life's great.".
Aiden smirks, "You uh, you know?".
John gave a playful slap, "Head out of the gutter kid.".
Aiden laughs, and then received a noogie from the colonel. The interaction lasted for a bit until John noticed Kai, "Kai, it's been some time.".
Kai nods and gives a grunt. John, shrugging, turns to Aiden, "Let's get you caught up.". In the debriefing room, John wasted no time starting.
"After Michael 'fell' to his death, we went to look for a body, but unfortunately, there wasn't one, we believed that he fell into the ocean and drowned, but, three weeks ago, we found this base, neither the Genii or Wraith claimed it, so we did some digging, and that's where we found him.".
Aiden rubbed the feeding scar, flashbacks from the interaction reeking back. Kai noticed this and placed a hand on his brother's shoulder. Aiden rubbed off and tried his best to hide the phantom pains. John noticed too, "We want this guy dead, Aiden.".
Aiden nodded, kill the bastard that "killed" him. "I can do that, but when we find him, I will kill him, myself.".
John knew that tone of voice, it usually meant that Aiden won't rest or let anyone stop him until he finishes the job, question is… did John make the right call bringing him in?
