Marcus woke with his arms filled with a warm body, he slowly tried to unwrap his arms to get out of bed but Hermione wrapped her arms around him and pulled herself against him in a tight hug.

"If you want a golden shower keep holding on," he told her and was nearly pushed out of the bed.

Laughing as he rolled over to stand he went to the bathroom to take care of his bladder and take a shower, the water falling over his body helped wake him more but it was the pair of arms wrapping around him and the breast pressing on his back that fully woke him especially when the hands moved lower.

"Having fun?" he asked as the hands reached his waist.

"Yes I am," she answered getting a grip on her target.

Sighing he reached down took hold of her wrist gently pulled them off of him and turned to look down at her seeing some pain and hurt in her eyes.

"We have time," he said leaning to kiss her lips for a few seconds before pulling back, "I know little to nothing about you and it is the same in reverse, I know that you were made for me but I don't want to rush this, too many couples rush and burn out," he finished softly.

She hugged him after he finished speaking, resting her ear on his heart, "I'm sorry I can't help it the company gets their companions from one of the other groups, and the way they make them is to need intimate contact with the person that orders them," she told him.

Wrapping his arms around her he rested his chin on the top of her head, "Just try to take it slowly is all."

She nodded slowly keeping her ear to his chest, they stood there under the shower for a few minutes until their stomachs growled, laughing at themselves they let each other go to finish washing the other back, and him washing her hair.

After dressing in newly made clothes they went to the dining room for breakfast, their places held plates with the fixings for waffles while a plate in the center of the table held a stack of eight waffles.

After finishing the meal they went to the workshop to find the replicator already working on making the power generator that seemed to be halfway finished.

"Computer I thought I said to hold the build until we were awake?" Marcus asked.

"Affirmative, you did make such orders and you woke nearly an hour ago."

"This is a twelve-hour build why does it seem like the unit is nearly finished?" he asked.

"Confirmed the unit will finish building in two hours when the library and medical unit were added to the house the computer systems were upgraded as well to handle the E.M.H program that allows for a faster replicator time by adding extra computing speeds." the computer supplied.

Sighing Marcus nodded, "Inform us if such an upgrade happens again."

"Confirmed."

"When the generator is finished and tested have the androids take it to the gate," Hermione orders before taking his arm and pulling him out of the room and to the library.

Once there she pulled the magical index to herself, "Ruen's mastery focused on spatial expansion."

"Going to make a beaded bag?" Marcus asked as the book appeared.

"Not one so small I was thinking about making a couple of backpacks to hold more than the bag my original made, she was rushed to make it during a war, here I can try a few variations and also see if I can make each pocket hold an expansion," she told him as she opened the book and began reading and using her bracer to make notes.

Pulling the mundane index to himself he picked a few fiction titles to read, "Alright just be careful I've read in a few fan fics where they blew themselves up trying to make something similar."

"I'm not thinking of putting an expansion inside of another just attached to the same item," she told him as she wrote.

For nearly two hours they read him occasionally laughing at something funny in the book he was reading while she was humming at parts of her reading and checking her notes adding or taking out bits and pieces.

"Build complete, testing complete, androids transferring the unit to the gate," the computer announced.

Closing his book Marcus looked up to find that Hermione was still making notes but from what he could read from the reverse of the holo screen she was now working on what seemed to be some kind of power generation.

"What are you doing now?" he asked causing her to jump.

Patting her chest she glared at him, "Ahhhhh, huh oh I am working on a possible power source in case we can not open the gate or the ship needs more power."

"Uhh the gate can be opened from anywhere, and the ship will be able to get power from the stars once we get it repaired."

"Oh ok, then we can use it for camping or something similar."

"That works but if I'm reading some of those equations right what kind of camp uses enough power to run an industrial complex?"

She blushed while reading over her arithmency eyes going wide realizing that the output would be enough to do as he said.

"Ummm well we could use it to power a small holosuit and replicator to make the tent and equipment as well as a shield to keep out pests," she said while saving the file on her bracer.

Chuckeling he shook his head, "You can build it if you want but this has to be done in stages I don't want to be blown up the expansions most of the time just implode."

She nodded happily then bounced around the table and hugged him "Thank you, thank you, thank you,"

He hugged her in return with a smile, "You're welcome."

After a minute she released him and stepped back as he let her go as well, " Let's see about hooking the generator to the shields and see what happens when the extra power is fed to the engines."

They left the library went to gather the environmental suits and pulled them on before going to the gate and finding the generator on a hover cart waiting to be sent to the ship.

"OK let's get this hooked up," he said while the gate opened as he pushed the cart.

'Update the environmental systems have been repaired by drones contamination protocol has been activated and the ship has been decontaminated, the atmosphere no longer needs to be removed,' Destiny's voice informed them as they stepped through the gate.

"Thank you for informing us and running that protocol, change of orders then try to gather the oxygen from the ship and contain it in the core areas that do not have hull breaches," Marcus said while pushing the cart to a wall.

'Confirmed,' Destiny replied.

"Scan this generator and send the drones to attach it to the shield matrix then give me an estimate on how much power can be diverted to the engines."

"Confirmed,' the clattering of drones soon filled the air as they swarmed the hover cart before taking control of it and took it away.

As they waited for the reply Hermione went to the rooms console and went through the database just to give herself something to do what she found was astonishing.

"Destiny transfer the data of mineral and special anomalies to my bracer," she said laying the screen of her bracer on the console.

'Data transfer completed.'

"We are going to want to add this data to our computer and replicator systems, if I'm reading this right the ship has been collecting scans of any and all mineral on the planets that have gates, while most of the data shows what we would expect on metal's some of the other things show that we want to look at like a few centuries ago the ship passed a supernova that destroyed it's system but what the gates scaned before the destruction show that the people's of the starsystem used crystal baseed technology to grow everything from house's to ships, " Hermione said while looking over the data.

Marcus joined her at the station to read over what she was looking at, "Let's see, okay the gates act as a relay to send data packets every few year's, Huh this is odd the data you're looking at was deliberately sent, this is just the gates scans but look at the size of the data sent just before the star exploded it's too much for the scans."

She looked at the files and saw that he was right about the size, "You're right that's too much for the scans, so I'm going to guess that the people or at least a group knew and sent this to preserve at least something of their people's knowledge and culture, f I'm reading this right theses people weren't far behind the Alterans but probably a xenophobic race."

Marcus began to pull up the data from a larger file but the writing was not something that he could read, but the symbols looked familiar to him until one imparticlar symbol flashed, it was a triangle with an S in the center.

"Kryptonian, this data is from Krypton but if that is so they were in the wrong part of the universe, they were supposed to be in the Andromeda galaxy,"

"You mean like Superman, has powers under a yello sun and all that?"she asks while trying to use her bracer to replicate a small data crystal.

"Yeah that's them which is weird because I remember some of the Stargate show and there was no Superman in the world," he replied as he tried to have his bracer translate the text.

"So why didn't you pick that race when you had the option?"

"Until I saw the symbol of the house of El I forgot about the race mainly because I only saw a couple of the movies and now that I remember it I'm glad I didn't take it because, on a few things, one is that the ship wouldn't allow us to do the work on it if we weren't Alteran and two they have a major power issue which is their dependence on yellow starlight," he said while slowly getting an understanding of the language silently thanking the Alterans for having an affinity for languages.

Hermione noticed that she too was slowly learning to read the displays, "Oh I didn't think of that,"

"When we get to Earth we will need to see if they have a Kal-El and if they do see what we can do for the Kent's."

"Also the kryptonite that stuff was dangerous to more than Superman."

Marcus nodded, "Yeah if he is there we will find what we can, Destiny transfer this data to my bracer."

'Insufficient data storage available for transfer,'

"Can you transfer data through an open wormhole?"

'Affirmative,'

Nodding Marcus stepped to the gate and it opened, tapping his bracer he opened the communication to the house, "Prepare for a large data transfer, isolate the data from the main systems, and run translation protocols,"

'Confirmed, secured data storage available,'

"Destiny match frequency and begin the transfer,"

'Affirmative, frequency matched and transfer initiated,'

Hermione suddenly gave a squeal of excitement causing Marcus to jump and spin around to find her holding a thumb-sized clear crystal.

"Ok, so what's up with that?" Marcus asked.

"It's whatever I want it to be, data storage or a house even a ship," she answered while doing a happy dance while hugging the crystal.

Smiling at her he could only shake his head while also watching how her body was moving in interesting ways that got a reaction from parts of his body.

After calming down she held the clear crystal up to her eyes with a beautiful smile crossing her lips until her eyes flashed a golden light, "Wow our technomancy powers work on these, if we can envision it we can imprint it on the crystals, I just made this one a possible computer, we just need water and it'll grow."

He smiled as she was looking over her computer crystal, "You can plant it later."

"Yeah I think I will, if I made it right we can eventually make upgrades to the ship possibly grow some more, and send them back along the path to grow the gate network beyond the corridor that Destiny has been following," she said in excitement.

"Alright, we'll look into that after we get to the next galaxy, see about getting the full schematics for the ship, we'll also have to make sure to find an empty planet to do that on and also we only need to make one or two, also there are a few ships ahead of Destiny that make the gates and place them but we will need to have them add DhDs when they do that I think they left them out of the designs to save time," Marcus said while walking up to the console and pulled up the schematics for the seed ships.

Hermione looked over his shoulder while he pulled them up, "Simple and robust, if we can make a few of these things we can do the spreading of the network maybe make each network locked to each galaxy that'll make people able to explore and then eventually in time build ships to explore more and grow."

"Yeah that's an idea but let's think of one possible thing that could happen, what's to stop tyrants from using the gates to take over galaxies, I've seen it in the series Stargate SG1 where the Goa'uld nearly took over the milky-way," Marcus said while looking at the display.

Hermione's excitement vanished quickly upon hearing that as she hadn't even thought about it in that way.

"Ok let's leave it alone then, we can think of something else to do, oh what about getting back to Earth and taking out the Goa'uld,"

Marcus shook his head slowly, " Depends on what reality we're in, there are somewhere the Earth is under the control of the Goa'uld or being attacked by them but that is a few years in the future."

"Until we're sure about the situation I'll work on it maybe I can come up with something, I almost wish we were in a Star Trek universe, that set seems to mostly be exploration and helping others more than fighting," she said while leaning against him her hopes of building a large gate network falling farther into just being a dream.

He threw an arm over her shoulder and hugged her close, " We'll see about that in the future as well I was told by Chuck that I may get the chance to join a company that deals in multiversal travel."

'Power generation device attached to the shield array, diverting power to engines, forty percent increase in speed, recalculating arrival to destination, new time of arrival is estimated to be ninety days.'

They both looked up and smiled at the news that the trip was cut in half, "That's good to hear, we don't have much to do until we get to the next galaxy and then we will mostly just sit back to watch the drones rebuild the ship."

"Yeah I know, I plan on doing some testing and research on the travel setup I was working on in the library, If you take up the offer and we travel to other realities it should be useful for getting around and hiding the house if we are with a group."

"Ok let's get back to the house you can do your test while I go over the new data and see what is useful and what is just the history of the Kryptonians," he said while reading a bit more over the files.

She gave him a big smile and pulled up her camp setup and began to make adjustments to a few equations, after a few minutes she stoped and looked at him her smile growing.

"I'll work with you on this data I may be able to add some of the technology from Krypton to the build, it may cut the energy needs down," she said as she saved the changes she had made and closed the file.

"Destiny continue with the last repair orders, if we are not onboard at the time the ship enters the next galaxy find the nearest useable star and charge the energy reserves and locate an uninhabited planet with the needed materials to land and begin the repairs on the hull and engines," Marcus orders.

'Orders accepted, data transfer complete.'

Gathering their bracers the two went to the stargate and steped through to the island, pulling the helmets off of their heds they walked back to the house to remove the suites before heading to the library to begin more studying.

Entering the library they found a new section of books and a new book laying on the table, looking at the book they found the cover held the emblem of the house of El surrounded by other house emblems.

"Well that will make things easier to find as soon as we can read the language better," Hermione said as she looked over the new book.

"Yeah, I didn't know the library would do this," he replied.

He looked to Hermione and found her smile was back as she was looking at the book, he couldn't help himself as he gave a short laugh before leaning over to kiss her cheek.

"Please control yourself and don't get lost in your studies," he said as he pulled back to find her looking at him with a soft smile as she nodded.

"I'm not an exact copy of the Hermione from the books and movies I don't have the need to prove that I am smart or useful but I do love to study also don't forget that we both are basically masters in the wizarding worlds skills and our technology skills are intuitive so we really don't have to study, we can learn from the Kryptonian section and combine it with what we can make, just like the crystal computer I made on Destiny," she said as she pulled the crystal from a pocket.

Nodding he looked at the crystal for a second, "If you are going to grow it please do it outside, I remember from one of the Superman movies that a piece of crystal the size of a grain of sand gree something to about the size of this table,"

"I'll have to set up some scanners as well to get a better understanding of how it works," she said while sitting down and pulling the book of Krypton to her and opening it and frowning.

She turned page after page her frown growing, after a dozen more pages were turned she closed the book and looked up.

"Computer are there any video or audio files from the new section that can be opened?" she asked

'Affirmative the database contains files available in both audio and visual format the book now in the library are for convince and comfort,' the computer answered.

Before Hermione could order the computer to open a file knowing that she wanted to use it to learn the language faster than reading it he spoke up.

"Hold on the computer needs to finish it's scan of the data and insure that it is safe, in a few of the comics and cartoons Krypton was destroyed by a Artificial Intelligence known as Brainiac and even the smallest part of it be it physical or digital hold it's complete program, if that thing is in the data and is awakened here on the island it could possibly have access to the universe via the gate and stay safe here while it wipes out all life in its insane hunger for knowledge, it attacks a world of a high level of technology and takes the information then destroys the population so only it has the information."

Hermione gave him a cute pout but nodded, "Fine I'll work on the tent and the power supply, how long do you think it will take ?"

'Complete scan will take approximately three weeks,' the computer replied causing her pout to grow.

"Work on the other tent I want to work on the probes so I'll be in the shop," he said after a moment of thought

Hermione perkerd up with the mention of the probes, " I need to use the shops replicator to make some of the pieces of the tent."

They left the library for the shop, Hermione went to the replicator and began ordering it to fabricate some cloth and collapsible poles.

Marcus went to the work table to find the probes and control pads setting one set to the sode he began to look over the control before waving his hands over it causing it to come apart then the pieces began to shift and flow together reforming the control he did th same with the sphere, while the controller did not change much in function he did have it now able to project a holographic display of what the probe came across while the probe changed in shape and size, it now resembles a puddle jumper he had seen from the few episodes of Stargate Atlantis.

"That looks much better than a sphere," Hermione said from his side causing him to jump slightly and her to laugh.

Turning to face her he found her standing there with the fabric and poles in her arms, "Yeah originally these things were only built to scan and record but not much more than that," he said shacking his head, "it's a waist of materials and energy, I've modified this one, it now has a shield generation device as well as stunning weapons and it can make short FTL jumps,"

She looked at the new peobe then to him, " I can see why give it a shield and stun weapon but why give it the ability to make FTL jumps?" she asked.

He shrugged, " It can cross a solar system in a fee minutes but mainly I did it so it can exit a planets gravity and scan from orbit it does limit the probes energy but like this they are useful for looking for minerals outside a planet."

Her eyes gree wider and wider as he explained the purpose of the FTL, "That is brilliant, with that you can safely search for anything,"

He nodded then picked up the the control and began using it to pilot the probe around the room displaying its visual sensors on the screen and changing it to the holographic display.

Shifting the bundle in her arms she watched the display and smiled, "The video is very clear now when we were walking up from the gate yesterday I was watching the screen, and it had a bit of static and it would jump from time to time,"

He nodded then piloted the probe to the table had it land and set down control, "Yeah that's because the probe's camera was trying to use all types of scans at the same time I changed it to need input from the person using the probe but I also set it to have a secondary scanner to record in the background and give the pilot warnings if they pick up something the normal camera doesn't pick up."

After a few minutes, she shifted her load again, "I'm going outside to work on the tent." she said before turning to the ramp and to a clear place.

She lay the fabric on the ground and then the poles at each end before stepping back and waving her hands over the fabric, it began to ripple and vibrate.

The poles floated from the ground to stand upright then the fabric flew up to form a triangle with the center of the fabric lining up to the poles and each corner formed spikes that sank into the ground.

Once they were set she let her hand fall to her side, she walked around the tent inspecting it then she stepped to the flap and opened it to look inside for a few seconds before pulling back with a nod and raising her hands again, her eyes gave a flash then the tent seemed to fall into itself before folding into a square about the size of a stretched out towel.

Marcus watched her working with a smile on his face when the tent folded itself he nodded thinking that she was finished he started to return to the workshop to get the replicator to copy his probe to send to Destiny and add it to the ship's fabrication shop for the future.

"Erect," Hermione suddenly called out, at her call, the tent jumped up and set itself up, once it was settled she opened the flap and fully entered it, a squeal of delight rang from inside with an odd echo.

Marcus let his curiosity get to him, walking to the tent flap he opened it to find a space that could rival their bedroom, it was empty with the walls covered in a glowing yellow grid, in the center of the room Hermione was hoping and clapping her hands like a little girl receiving a pony for her birthday.

"Good job now we need to make the furniture and other things to fill up the empty spaces," he called out getting her attention.

"Living space one," she called out, after a few seconds the air seemed to shimmer and ripple, and after a few seconds the space was filled with a full bedroom suite.

Marcus looked around and smiled before frowning, "What happened to test out making sure each function worked before making the final version?"

Hermione ran over to him throwing her arms around his neck and pulling him into a deep kiss, after a minute she pulled back.

"That's still in the works this was just a test, the fabric is made up of hair-thin circuits the inside is a holo suite and the outside is similar to a solar panel but instead of absorbing solar energy it collects background magic, right now it's working on a small charge I gave it,"

Marcus looked around and smiled before kissing her tenderly, "Just remember to take it slowly."

She nodded and smiled up at him, " End program," the room returned to the yellow grid with a shimmer, " Yeah I know I'll leave this one up for a few days to test the magical storage for powering its functions,"

They stood there in each other's arms for a while just enjoying each other until her stomach gave a small growl eliciting a chuckle from him.

"Let's get lunch and then work on a few things that can burn up the time until the ship is ready to land," he said before kissing her forehead.

Blushing she nodded then stepped away and took his hand letting him lead the way back to the house where they found androids setting up the table for lunch.

Over the next week, they fell into a routine of studying whatever gained their attention and building various things to make their life easier in case they were somehow blocked from returning to the island.

One evening after lunch they were sitting in the living room cuddled on the couch chatting about the latest progress of their projects.

"I'm sure I have the tent finished to the best I can come up with for now, I've got it to have almost as much room as the first floor of the house, it also has a more efficient holo grid and replicator systems," Hermione said as she listened to his heart.

Marcus hummed as he listened to her talk and he ran his fingers through her hair, "That's good, I was going to make some brooms or flying carpet but after thinking about it I think I will build a small ship that will fit through the gate just in case we need to get off planet or Destiny in the future," he said while tapping on his bracer with his free hand projecting an image over the coffee table showing his newest design.

Hermione was looking at the design nodding as she looked it over, "That looks nice but why not expand the inside like I did with the tent?"

"I don't know what would happen if we went through a real Stargate with powered expansion runes spells, either nothing or they collapse and crush whatever is inside, with the tent they are inactive until the tent is set," he told her while shivering at the thought of being inside something when an expansion collapses feeling her shiver as well.

"Yeah let's not tempt Murphy with that," she said after her shiver.

Marcus was adding a small but efficient hyperdrive capable of crossing a galaxy in hours instead of the six months Destiny's full complement of sixteen would be.

"What about adding indestructible runes to the hull and possibly friction-reducing runes as well that'll make reentry safer and smoother," she added after a minute of reading closely.

Nodding he tapped the keyboard to have the simulator add the runes to the build, just as the program finished making the final version of adding runes that would make the best possible scheme, the phone that was still struck to the table rang and began flashing.

They both jumped at the unexpected light and sound, Hermione sat up leaning over the table to see what was happening, the screen listed the call coming from 'Chuck'.

"It's Chuck, I wonder what he's calling for," she told him looking over her shoulder to see him putting the bracer screen on a table next to the couch.

Shrugging he leaned over and hit the accept icon, "Probably a check-in, or something came up with the company and the deal I agreed to before coming here."

"A little of both," Chuck said over the phone that was set to speaker.

The two looked at the phone and then sat down Hermione resumed her cuddling against his side, "Well I am back to normal, although I did want to know why the library was listed on the house but you said y'all were adding it to the house."

"Ahh yes while you got the room the builders didn't put in the books," Chuck said they could hear papers being shuffled on the other end of the line.

Marcus hummed for a second, " Ok well that was nice of you all to put it right, but I also like the way it updates when we add a new database to the computer, we found a copy of the Kryptonian history and tech in Destiny's logs and copied them to the houses computer and the next time we were in the library it had added a new section."

"Yes we added that to our list of library functions for the people who get a house, it will copy any information from a race if you can open the gate to a world," Chuck said over the phone.

"That's good to know but I'm going to have to be careful about that or I'll lose my cuddle partner in there if I get too much information," Marcus said after feeling Hermione shifting upon hearing that the library could update on it's own.

Blushing she pocked his side while grumbling, "I'm not that bad,"

The two men laughed a little before calming down, "While this is fun I need to finish up and let you two get back to what you were doing,"

"We weren't doing much really just resting and going over some schematics I have for a small ship that we can use when Destiny is fixed up and on her way, " Marcus said while he began to run his fingers through her hair again.

Therr was a long silence on the other end of the line before Chuck spoke, " You're not going to stay on the ship?"

"No, I figured we are in one of a few realities there's one where the Icarus team ends up in the ship where the shields are down and they almost all die from radiation, and one where the only thing left of the ship is the gate room and the team dies in the vacuum or the one where Harry Potter is a partial ascended who is sent to the ship and he returns to Earth and sets up an empire that eventually covers the galactic cluster," Marcus told them as he tried to think of the few fan fictions he had read in the past.

They could hear papers being shuffled again before Chuck spoke up, "Let's see, it's a Harry Potter sort of, we don't have much information about the worlds we send people to until a few days but normally we don't have much contact unless we have to step in to stop higher powers from attacking our clients."

"That's fine with me, we do plan on going to the Milky Way galaxy but in a ship of our own, the Destiny is a nice ship but it kind of stands out," Marcus said.

"Yes that's up to you two we try to stay hands-off unless the client is close to destroying the reality we send them, but that's not why I called, we do an occasional update on the computer systems we give with the future tech houses, the Kryptonian section set off some flags on our end three days ago when we did the scan and found the brainiac program hidden in a few maintenance files, our tech support team whipped the program of its flaws and repurposed it to give your computer a few upgrades as well as the Kryptonian to English dictionary files as well," Chuck said while moving a few more papers.

Marcus stiffened up at the mention of brainiac but relaxed when Chuck said that the artificial intelligence was rewritten.

"That's good to know if that insane program got its digital hands on the computer systems we have there's no telling what it could have done to the multiverse," he said feeling Hermione shifting closer to him.

" We would have had to step in if that happened, it's happened once before and took us sending out a squad of elite members to clean up the mess and reset the reality it's one of a few reasons we do the weekly scans," Chuck reassured the two.

Hermione looked up at Marcus seeing some fear still on his face, "Is it that bad?"

"Yeah it is very bad if it gets in a system it slowly takes over then it sweeps system after system collecting data and then killing off the population, in some cases I know of it killed off hundreds of galaxies before Superman and Supergirl were able to take it out only for it to have reformed a few years later and start over, " he said while wrapping his arms around her.

" Yes that's because they didn't destroy every cell of the body brainiac built for itself," Chuck reassured the two once more.

" Okay, I am so glad you didn't let me go through the database now," Hermione said snuggling in more.

"Yeah same here," he said bending to kiss the top of her head.

"Yes it's that database that has me calling as well as letting you two know about the fix on the computer, while we have sent a client to a purely DC reality they have never been able to get a complete copy of the Kryptonian technology, we have an offer for you on our end and one of our friendly company contacts is interested in the bracers the computer systems show that you have built," Chuck told them.

"Okay I don't see any problems listening to the offers," Marcus replied.

"The company I work for have to get our clients companions from one of a few other companies and while it's not an expensive deal sometimes it takes a few days to months to get the clones delivered, what we want to do is purchase the Kryptonian cloning schematics for expanding your gates functions to where you can expand it to allow a ship roughly the size of Destiny to fit through or it can shrink to the size of a house door to allow you to hide its use with no event horizon to give away its usage," Chuck said while moving a few more papers.

Marcus looked to Hermione when he felt her head move to look up to his face.

"I don't see a problem with the offer, if I remember it right there should also be a copy of the Kryptonian genetic code in the file's as well go ahead and set it up," he said while looking to her eyes and smiling.

"Wonderful it will be finished by morning, as for the other offer the company has a deal it has a few spots open for a trip to Buffy the vampire slayers Halloween event where they have a deal with Janus," Chuck said while the scratching of pen on paper could be heard.

Marcus hummed thinking about the event, "What's the deal with Janus?"

"Every time the Halloween event happens a Halloween world is birthed to absorb the chaotic power energy and keep it from giving the powers that be the upper hand, sometimes Ethan Rein pulls the stunt more than once in Sunnydale," Chuck said while they heard something like a printer scanner running.

"And the company sends agents to the Halloween event and then the Halloween world to keep the body count down in exchange for keeping the powers the costume gives them and Janus gets a boost in power from the chaos," Marcus said while thinking about how that sounded like a good deal.

"Yes that's about right, While most people do help the Halloween world Janus gets more power just from the agents taking part in the event because they are chaotic by nature, with them there they stabilize the world as odd as it sounds that's where Janus comes in he allows the agents keep their powers and a free pass in and out of the world," Chuck said while tapping on a keyboard.

"How long do we have to accept the deal?" Hermione asked as it seemed like Marcus was lost in thought.

Chuck finished typing and hummed as he leafed through more papers, " It's time locked, you take the deal they send you a ticket to the event and the gate will open up to the right time and an out-of-the-way place an hour before the spell is cast to allow agents to talk over who gets the real Sunnydale after the spell is broken."

Marcus seemed to come out of his thoughts as Chuck was speaking, " We'll not need to stay in normal Sunnydale unless the Halloween world is under the red skies then we can go back using the gate as it will have the address we can use a ship to leave the planet in the normal world then open a gate to the Halloween side in outer space and see if the event spread beyond the planet like its done in a few fics I've seen,"

Hermione suddenly sat up looking at him her eyes widening, " How long to build the ship?"

Marcus chuckled before reaching for his bracer pulling up the readout for the ship he had been working on.

"About a day if we get the replicator to make the parts fast enough I'm using some systems from the Destiny like the shields and one of the engines that will make the small ship fast,"

Hermione was looking at the design again before turning to the phone, "What do you guys want to upgrade our replicator or give us two or three more?"

There was another shuffling of papers on the phone, " Can you tents and crystal computers be created with them?"

"Yeah the bracer can make the crystal computer and I can scan the tent into the computer and then the replicator can make them the runes will need to charge overnight but one replicator can put out a hundred an hour," Hermione said while tapping on her lower lip.

"Alright, I'll contact a friend who runs a business helping new agents and see what kinda of deal he is interested in making," Chuck said while he began typing on his keyboard sending his friend a message.

Marcus was looking at Hermione his eyes widening at what she was asking, then he began to smile.

"Alright my friend has offered three for the schematics for both the tent and computer, he's been looking for a few ways to get the lower-powered agents a better place for them to get out of the weather and the computer will work until they can save up to buy a pocket dimension," Chuck said.

"Sending the schematics to you to send to your friend the tent has a holographic system and replicator and the interior is as large as our ground floor while the computer has a memory of about ten million gigabytes," Hermione said as she was pointing her bracer toward the phone.

"Yeah that's an interesting set up for the tent and computer," Chuck said while re directing the schematics to his friend.

"Tell your friend that the runes can be applied to a house with a laser with a magical light source, they can turn a garden shed into a mansion or if using a replicator just remember to keep the runes set aligned right," Hermione said while tapping away at the keyboard.

Marcus was laughing in the background listening to her talk about how her schema would make a small building a large home that seemed to make Chuck speechless.

"He just bumped you up another replicator for that idea and he's sent them to your gate address, I think he's going to get a bump up in his sales even from the high-level agents," Chuck said sounding amazed.

"Yeah I came up with the tent as a backup in case we were unable to open the gate to get back here to the house and the computer was just a test to see if our bracers micro replicator could make it," Hermione said sounding excited.

"Well, that will make life easier for several people lives easier in the long run," Chuck said.

Four androids left the house through the front door after Marcus gave them orders to retrieve the new replicators and put them in the basement lab.

"We'll take the deal for Halloween," Marcus said while using his bracer to send his schematics for the bracer off to Chuck, "There are two types one has a big data storage or one that I came up with the other day that uses the computer systems Hermione came up with when we got the Kryptonian stuff from Destiny,"

"Done the tickets for the event will be there in a minute next to the phone, also there is an offer for a contract with the same company to act as an agent, they are watching the realities and your actions in rebuilding the ship are on the path of making the reality stable, " Chuck said before falling silent before grasping.

" Oh my goodness I can see why the Destiny would have been struck by a comet a few weeks after entering the galaxy and with the shields as low as they were it would have taken Harry five years to repair and by the time he got back Earth would have been at war with the Goa'uld and Harry taking the gate away would have left them defenseless, " he finished.

"Keep the offer on the table for now when or if we want to look into reality hoping for adventure," Marcus said after some thought.

"Very well I'll let them know that you will be thinking over the offer," Chuck said just after two tickets appeared on the table beside the phone.

"We'll build the ship before we use the tickets, the time syncing is great so we don't have to rush it but I think we can use them in a week or so," Marcus said while closing the files on his bracer.

"You also need to pick your costumes and be wearing them when you use them, and it won't hurt to take a few extra bracers and tents with you, not all agents are from the same company and a little trade will sometimes happen," Chuck mentioned as a beeping from somewhere on his end.

"We will think about the costumes in the next few days and yeah that's a good idea about trading, what about the crystal computers do you think they'll be useful or will the tents and bracers be enough?" Hermione asked while looking at the tickets.

"They could be useful for trade in the Halloween world but the agents wouldn't need them because they are not mobile like the tents and bracers are," Chuck informed them, "I need to finish up for now if our weekly scans turn up something we have the frequency for your bracers."

Marcus nodded a few times before remembering that Chuck could not see him, "Alright, and thanks with Destiny going to be another two months and a few weeks before it gets to the galaxy,"

"We'll be in touch," Chuck said before hanging up.

"Come on let's get to the workshop and see about hooking up the new replicators and putting them to making the parts for the ship, the longest part to make is the hull," Marcus said while gently taking her arm to pull her from the coffee table.

They made it to the workshop finding the new replicators being placed along a new wall.

"Computer when did this happen?" Marcus asked as the final cable was connected.

'Just before the androids brought the new units in, the shop is expandable for additional equipment,' the computer replied sounding less monotone than it did before.

"Thank you, explain the new functions that you have now that the brainiac program has been stripped of its code and integrated into the house systems," Hermione ordered.

'Basic functions are unaffected but the new database will take a month to finish configuring the systems, the Kryptonian and Starfleet systems are being changed to be a harmonious combination of both,' the computer replied.

"That's fine, we will be taking a trip to another reality for a time and maybe away for a while," Marcus said while looking over the replicator systems and finding that they were ready for use.

The new setup was adjustable allowing for them to expand, opening the file for the ship he sent a copy of it to the build prompt.

"These can build the parts for the ship and the older unit can make the bracers and tents, I think ten tents and twenty or so bracers should be enough," he said while tapping on the older replicator control panel and setting the order.

"Yeah let's go with that, I can use the bracer to make the crystal computers for trade with the good people in the Halloween world," Hermione said while tapping away at her bracer to have its micro replicator to make a few crystals and laying the screen on an empty table for a place to hold the crystals.

Marcus was nodding while going to the new replicator, his eyes widening at the readout on the screen, "We can have the ship done in three days, I didn't think about them working in tandem speeding up the process."

'Affirmative the replicators being tied together and working on the same project allows for less run time and allocation of computing processes, the spherical shape takes away the complexity as well,' the computer informed them without prompting.

"Yeah, I designed it that way to allow for simple shields to lessen the power requirements and increase the efficiency as well as cutting down on the atmospheric reentry shearing plus the size will allow gate travel."

"I still think adding expansion runes is a good idea, " Hermione added while watching the old unit build five bracers at once.

"Nah we can put up a tent in the cargo compartment," Marcus said while tapping away at his bracer bringing up the schematics again.

Hermione went still for a second before face-palming, " I didn't think of that."

"I did, it's why I took the food replicators and personal quarters out of the designs and used the space they would have taken up to add a more powerful secondary generator to the schematics," Marcus said pointing to the places he mentioned.

Blushing Hermione nodded as she looked at the holographic display, "That makes sense and the tent won't be a drain on the systems because it draws on the background magic as well as stores it in a battery of sorts."

Marcus smiled at her while pulling up two sets of armor that looked similar to that of Thor from the Marvel movies for a male and female.

" I first thought of going as Kryptonians but they have too many weaknesses, Asgardian while lacking the heat vision and freezing breath come close without the weaknesses have nearly the same strength, and are magical to boot plus if we get to write the background on them, we can make them trained in battle plus trained by Freya in magic, " he said while tapping away at his bracer for a few seconds.

Hermione looked at the display and smiled at the costumes, " That's nice I was going to suggest that we go as Starfleet officers for the training,"

"Yeah that's not a bad idea but the Asgardian people can learn faster than normal, while we have super brains from our Alteran upgrades we can use the tents holo suite to provide a training program to pilot the ship,"

"Alright let's go with these, but I don't want swords for my costume, I'll take a staff that can become two batons," Hermione said while tapping on the swords of the female's costume.

"Keep the swords for a backup, and if I remember correctly the magic users in the Asgardian culture had staves, weapons will be needed in the Halloween world not every person will revert to whoever they were once the spell is done," Marcus said adding a staff to the backs of the projections.

"No capes," Hermione stated with a nod.

Marcus looked confused when she said that but shrugged removing the capes from them.

Seeing his confusion she had to smile, " Capes can be used against the person by being grabbed or getting hung on something plus if we have to fight they can get in the way and cause blind spots."

"Alright you have a good point," he agreed after thinking about what she told him.

"What about books, most combat casters have their spell books on a hip ?" Hermione asked eyeing the images.

Marcus shook his head, " Asgardians are from a verbal culture they didn't start writing their information in books or scrolls until Odin called for peace so every Asgardian is taught by verbal means for the first few hundred years as a tie to their roots."

"Ahh that makes sense plus the books would be a weakness if we needed to hold the book to cast and somehow lose it," she said after a moment's thought.

"What about the color scheme I don't mind the blue but the gold parts are a bit much aren't they?" she asks while eyeing the gold plates that covered the suits in an elegant pattern.

"It's not gold but Uru a mythical metal formed in the heart of supermassive solar bodies, forged by the dwarves of Nidivlear same as the weapons, when they are forged they can sit in an armory for centuries waiting for the person meant to wield them,"

"Okay, but it looks gaudy how much would it change the spell if the Uru was used like thread and then sewn into a fabric of sorts kind of like Loki's battle gear, trying to get out of that heavy-looking gear could take a while just in case we aren't going to be fighting and want some downtime?" Hermione wondered aloud.

Marcus laughed at her saying that the costumes looked gaudy, "Once they bond with a person it changes to fit the taste of the wearer, as for removing it that's simple a small pocket dimension is formed upon binding, equipping, and removing is a thought away,"

"So Thor and Loki's flashy change when they were fighting was that pocket opening to equip their gear?"

"Yeah but those two were always flashy I liked the way Hela changed for the fight where the armor seemed to flow onto the body," he answered.

" Fine but I am not going to be wearing something that tight it looked like it was painted on and she was walking around in nothing but paint," she said with conviction.

Marcus stiffened up and his eyes seemed to glaze over then he grew a goofy smile, "Are you sure?"

Blushing Hermione slapped his arm, " Very sure, you are the only one who gets to see that much of me."

"I can live with that," he told her wrapping his arm over her shoulder and pulling her into a hug.

Smiling she lay her head on his shoulder, they stood there for a long time watching the ship slowly taking shape, being content in each other's arms, they were brought back to reality when the older replicator finished the last set of bracers and an android removed them for the replicator to begin making the tents.

"How are we going to get the ship out of the basement when it's finished?" Hermione suddenly asked.

'The door expands to allow passage of just about any size,' the computer informed her while Marcus was looking to be ready to facepalm.

"Thank you," Hermione said while trying not to laugh at Marcus.

'You are welcome,' the computer replied with a hint of humor in its voice.

Marcus hung his head while shaking it, Hermione gave a soft laugh while squeezing his waist.

'I recommend having the replicator build more tents and store them in case you possibly find groups of nonviolent people or creatures who can make use of their functions to survive,' the computer stated when the first tent finished forming.

"Make it so, we'll only take a few at first to trade with the agents and keep some to trade with locals," Marcus said after thinking over the computer's recommendation.

"I don't want to sound impatient but why not go ahead and enter the world as soon as we have the trade items?" Hermione asked watching the second tent being stacked on the first.

Marcus opened and closed his mouth a few times, "Well I was thinking of having the ship to move around but we should be able to fly on our own, so yeah we can be ready to go in the morning that'll give the tents time to get a change,"

Hermione beamed a smile that seemed to light up the room and hugged him tightly, "Thank you,"

"My pleasure, but why hurry?" he asks.

She squirmed a little as he looked at her, " I love the house and working on Destiny but only being able to study or go get updates on how the ship is doing gets boring."

He laughed a little before kissing her forehead, "It's ok we'll have to get stuff ready, make sure you have your bag ready to hold the supplies we will be taking with us."

She nodded then tightened her hold on him, " I've made a few extra bags while you were going over some schematics for your ship."

"How many?" he asks.

"Besides the first, I was working on in the library I made five more they took a while to make with the number of pockets and ensuring that they didn't react badly with each other," she said after a few seconds of thought.

"I'm sure you can trade with someone over there and get some good stuff," he told her wrapping his free arm around her and kissing her forehead again.

Blushing again she nodded.

'The chef has lunch ready and on the table,' the computer informed them causing Hermione to jump from not being used to the computer freely offering information.

"Well let's go get some food and put together a list of things to take," he said releasing his hug.

Nodding she stepped back with a smile before turning to the work table to find a small pile of crystals next to the screen of her bracer.

"I think I overdid it with them," she said picking up the screen and canceling the replicator from making more after the one it was currently making.

Marcus saw the pile and burst out laughing, it took him a few minutes to calm down and wipe away the laugh tears from his eyes, "Just a bit."

Pouting she gave him the puppy eyes that he was very bad at defending against, he was hugging again before he even knew what he was doing.

She gave a soft giggle hiding her face in his chest as she wrapped her arms around him as well.

After a few minutes, they let each other go and went to eat after the meal of yaki soba made the traditional way, they went about packing up for the trip which didn't take all that much.

Hermione was in the workshop packing the dozen tents and bracers into one of her expended book bags when Marcus joined her.

"Halt the build of tents for now break these down and use the material to make our costumes," he said laying the environmental suits on the replicator.

'Affirmative, do you wish to use the Uru that is in storage for the weapons and armor?' the computer asked.

Marcus looked up sharply, " We have Uru?"

'Yes the ore vein covers all types of metal up to mythical levels, the stocks are at one hundred pounds of various mythical metals such as Uru and ebony,' the computer informed him.

Marcus looked to a wide-eyed Hermione who was nibbling on her lower lip before nodding, "It can't hurt to have them authentic plus it will look awesome."

"Alright go ahead and use the Uru," he said while walking over to Hermione, "Reminded me to get a list of what metals the vein can produce."

She nodded slowly as she put the last tent in the bag, "Yeah that's a good idea."

'The costumes will take roughly an hour to complete using the measurements for each of you from the suits, ' the computer said while the two suits were taken apart.

"That's good to hear," Marcus said while gently picking up one of the crystals that Hermione's bracer was producing.

"I've decided to go with fifty for now, there are a few more to make but it doesn't take long for them to get done.," Hermione said while taking the one he had and putting it in a side pocket of the bag.

They stayed in the shop watching the ship and suits being worked on until the last crystal was finished.

"Alright let's go get some data from the library for entertainment during downtime, and yes you can take some of the wizarding stuff to see if you can come up with something else," Marcus said after Hermione closed the pocket holding the crystal computers.

Swatting his arm and receiving a chuckle she left the bag on the table for the shop android to finish packing the tents, "Leave the pocket for the tents open so they can draw in the magic they need to charge."

'Affirmative,' the android replied as it lifted the latest finished tent and put it in the correct place.

When they got to the library they went to the table to use the books to call up the digital copies of the books and movies that they wanted letting their bracers download them.

"You know we can use the bracer to hold a lot of data why don't we have a couple loaded up on the scientific data for the people who may need it if the event knocks out the internet and computers?" Hermione asked while pulling up a few books on runes.

Marcus sat for a few minutes then nodded, "Yeah that's not a bad idea."

Hermione skipped around the table and hugged him for a few seconds before pulling back and running out of the room only to return with a few bracers.

"Computer connect to theses bracers and download the scientific data from Earth to them," she called out laying four beside the mundane book.

'Affirmative the transfer will take a few minutes.'

"Download the magical database on these," she said laying another four around the magical book.

'Affirmative.'

"You expect to run into a version of yourself over there don't you?" Marcus asked as he watched her.

"I didn't think of that, I'll be right back," she said running out of the room again returning with another two bracers laying them between the two books.

Watching Hermione for a few seconds he went back to looking for stuff to read or watch, "You will need to make sure she isn't evil I've found a story where a Hermione went evil after the Ministry had Harry Potter kissed after taking out Riddle."

"I saw that one, they were soul mates and by feeding his soul to a dementor it tore him up and the feedback she received along with the loss was horrible," Hermione said while wiping a tear from her eye after thinking about what that would do to someone.

Marcus nodded, "Yeah I know I'll be watching for those creatures and destroy everyone I can find, the souls they've taken are still there and in pain if we can free them they'll be sent to their afterlife to heal."

'Transfer complete,' the computer said pulling the two from their thoughts.

"Thank you please tranfer both the mundane and magical data to the two in the middle of the table," Hermione said while moving to pick up the mundane bracers and using magic to charge the wrist strap to be blue then she changed the magical to red.

For the next hour they finished with the entertainment Hermione only stopped once to mark the two bracers with the dual data to ensure that she would not mix them with the others.

'Your costumes are finished and ready to wear, the android is moving them to the entry way near the front door,' the computer informed them as they finished the data transfers.

"That's good, but have them sent to the master bedroom, there we can easily get them on before going through the gate," Marcus said while closing the book.

'Affirmative orders sent to the android.'

Marcus nodded then stood up and walked around the table to look over Hermione's shoulder to see that her bracer was loaded with at least a hundred books ranging all subjects.

"We won't be gone longer than two months this time,"He said before kissing her on the top of the head.

Though he could not see it she gained a rosy blush, "I know that but theses should be useful for getting things done if we need."

"I'm going to go check in on Destiny but the most likely thing is that nothing new has come up," he said while standing straight and getting ready to leave the room.

She nodded then returned to her list of books, "Okay I will stay here and make sure I didn't miss anything, call me if you need me."

Nodding he left the library and house for the gate then slapped his forehead, tapping his bracer he spoke into it, "Send a build order for a hover car once the ship is finished."

'Affirmative the order is set but the single replicator is capable to make the hover car,' the computer replied to his call.

"Yeah I know but it is not really a big deal to wait on it, we will be leaving in the morning we won't need it any time soon," Marcus replied.

'Understood the build order is at the top of the list'

"Thanks I'll be back in a little while I just want to make sure things are going well on Destiny," he said while approaching the gate that opened once he was thirty feet from it.

'Thank you for the heads up,'

Tapping the communications off he stepped through the gate, he found the lighting brighter than the day before.

"I've just come by to check in and inform you that Hermione and I will be unable to return for a few months and see if anything is needed before we leave," Marcus said as the gate closed behind him.

'Affirmative everything remains stable, the drones are steadily making progress, if the repairs continue at pace the hull will be the only item that will need to be addressed once the ship reaches the next galaxy,' the Destiny computer informed him.

"Very well I'll be leaving for now," he said stepping to the side to allow the gate to open, "Oh yeah we received a warning from the people who sent us, there is a possible solar system with a large number of comets in your path if possible avoid the system,"

'Affirmative the shields are powerful but it is unlikely that they will be able to resist the impact, The closest solar mass suitable for recharge is a day's travel from the galactic edge.'

Marcus thought over the information he had adjusting the time and nodded the ship would be safe, "If the solar body is in a uninhabited system land on a planet or a lunar mass that has usable materials to repair the hull and engines, if you must leave the system after charging scan for rouge planets that will be useful."

'Understood, it is unlikely that the system will be inhabited according to the reports from the last subspace update, the system has been struck by a large gama burst less than a thousand years ago.'

"Will the remaining gama radiation cause problems?" he asked.

'Unknown at this point,' the computer replied.

Marcus nodded, "We will be back around the time the ship reaches the next galaxy, we'll open the gate to receive a report on the radiation."

'Acknowledged.'

Stepping back through the gate he returned to the house and found Hermione sitting on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and a drink while the opening credits for Buffy the Vampire Slayer played on the TV.

"I looked up the Halloween episode to get a reference on how the night should go," Hermione said as she moved to let him have the arm of the couch.

As soon as he was comfortable she snuggled to his side, "I don't remember much about it other than Buffy wearing an eighteenth-century dress that turned her into a screaming girl that jumped at every little thing."

They watched the episode and laughed at how Buffy acted under the influence of the spell, " What do you think would happen if we transfigure Buffy and Willow's costumes just before the spell activities?"

"I'm not sure we can see about it and see what agents think about it," Marcus said while scratching his head.

For the next few hours, they watched more of the series when an android moved the coffee table to set up two TV tables and placed plates with pizza for dinner on them the two barely noticed.

"Other than the Halloween event I don't think I would want to live in that world, I mean yeah it's a nice idea but between the teen drama and angst I think I would have turned most of the characters into rodents," Hermione said after the episode where the group ignored Xanders idea again which ended up with more people being hurt than his idea of baiting the demon to a place of their choice.

Marcus nodded, " Yeah I know what you mean Xander retained most of the knowledge from the soldier and they know that but no let's use the idea of the moody teen girl who just knows how to get everyone hurt,"

"I'm thinking about just ignoring Sunnydale after the event the only time they used Xander's idea was that rocket launcher and then it went back to treating him like an unneeded member of the team, and what's up with Willow acting like he belongs to her and trying to get between Xander and Cordelia while also see," Hermione suddenly stated.

Marcus was nodding, " Let's suggest to the agents to change Buffy and Willow's costumes then stay out of the way until the spell is over and the world splits or whatever is going to happen."

"Alright let's go with that and possibly get them to get Buffy to dress as Alice from the Resident Evil movies and Willow can be dressed as Batgirl who will leave the Halloween world Sunnydale someone that can fight if it comes down to it, but its late let's get to bed," Hermione said after thinking over the possible people useful in a fight.

Marcus stood stretching then followed Hermione who was already on her way to the stairs, he watched as she dropped her clothes and went to the bathroom, stripped into his boxers, and sat on the bed waiting for Hermione to finish up and come to bed and then taking care of his needs and joining her under the covers where she immediately curled into his side and fell asleep.

The morning came too soon for Hermione's opinion as Marcus began to try and get out of bed to use the toilet and get a shower.

He was just finishing washing his hair and getting ready to wash his body when Hermione joined him under the water taking the washcloth and soap from his hands and passing the shampoo to him, he began washing her hair as she washed first her body then his finishing as he was rinsing the conditioner from her hair.

"I need a haircut, if it weren't for the replicators our shampoo and conditioner bill would be through the roof," Hermione said as she was drying her hair.

"Umm I chose long hair on you so you could decide what style you want, didn't I tell you that already?" Marcus asked as he finished drying and pulling on a new pair of boxers.

"No, you didn't tell me that," Hermione said while huffing.

"Oh sorry I thought I told you,"

Hermione wrapped her hair in the towel then used another to dry her body then pulled on a fresh pair of panties and a bra.

"I'm going to have an android cut my hair before I get dressed," she said walking out of the room to have her hair cut.

Marcus shrugged before walking to the costumes taking his to the bed and began looking it over to see how it would need to be pulled on from a split in the back.

He was trying to reach for the zipper when Hermione came back with shoulder-length hair and a smile on her face.

"Much better, I think I'll keep it like this," she said before stepping to his back and pulling up the zipper.

"I like it if you like it," Marcus said while looking at her hair, "sorry I thought I told you about the idea of choosing your style,"

Stepping around him she stood on her tiptoes and kissed him, "It's fine, now help me into mine so we. can get breakfast."

Smiling he bent to kiss her softly then went to get her costume and lay it on the bed showing her how it was a pullover suit.

"How are we supposed to get this off if we need to go to the bathroom?" she asks while sitting on the bed to get her legs into the costume before standing and bouncing to get the tight-fitting thing on.

"Once the spell activities, we will be able to remove the suits as needed," he said while holding the torso section to keep from hitting herself with it, his eyes following the movement of her breast.

Laughing at his distraction with her breast she wiggled her chest a few times causing him to lick his suddenly dry lips.

Stepping closer to him she threw her arms around his neck and pulled him into a kiss, "You're going to make us both suffer from waiting."

He rested his forehead against her, " I don't want to jump in too fast, we've only known each other for a few weeks, I once had a girlfriend who I only knew for a week before we jumped into each other's pants, we didn't stay together for a few months before splitting up with many regrets and even grew to dislike each other because we moved too fast the only time we weren't fighting was during sex."

She let him go and stepped back a pained look in her eyes, " I'm sorry I just want you to be happy."

He held up the torso and helped her pull it on, "Hermione it's fine I just don't want us to go that way as well, we are connected through the company meaning we can't separate if things are going to be strained between us."

Once the top was in place he stepped around her to close up the back then returned to stand in front of her again, cupping her chin then kissing her softly, " Love me kiss me tease, and cuddle with me I don't mind you doing those things to me but give us the time we will have centuries together so we don't have to rush anything."

Now she had tears in her eyes but now they were happy tears from his words and the tender way he was trying to treat her, she sprang at him wrapping her arms and legs around him and taking him to the floor.

She kissed him deeply with tears falling from her cheeks to his, he wrapped his arms around her to hold her closer, and they kissed for a long while before she pulled back to look into his eyes her eyes filled with love for him that had been growing for him from when she first woke at the gate, she could see his care for her growing in his eyes as well and swor to herself to try and take it slowly to ensure that she didn't hurt either of them like what happened to him in the past.

'Breakfast is on the table, if you don't want it growing cold I recommend going to eat soon,' the computer said making the two jump like teenagers caught making out by their parents.

Getting up they went to have breakfast which turned out to be a full English breakfast where Hermione was happy with a meal from the original Hermione's home country.

Once they were finished eating they went to the living room to finish getting ready and found the weapons resting against the backpack with the tents and bracers along with four empty backpacks on the floor by the front door.

There were four swords and two staves with belts with sheathes and a shoulder strap for the staves to keep them all in arm's reach.

Getting the belts on took a few minutes to figure out how to get them comfortable although they left the staves out of the holders to carry them instead of walking awkwardly with them between their backs and the backpacks.

"Ready to go play in a world full of possible monsters?" he asked while watching her look through her backpack to make sure all the tents and bracers were there.

She looked up and smiled at him and nodded, "Yeah I was just making sure everything is good to go."

Stepping over to the coffee table to get the tickets he turned to help her pull on her backpack and shrug it into a comfortable position.

"We will be arriving in the town in an out-of-the-way place and with so many people dressing up we won't stand out much but I'll have to fight off the men when they get a look at you," Marcus said as they exited the house and walked to the gate.

At the gate, he held up the tickets and read them seeing that they said to rip them to use, tearing the tickets in two they watched the gate open with a golden light instead of the normal white light rippling.

Stepping through they felt the travel seemed to move sideways before depositing the two in a nearly empty warehouse.

All around them were groups of people with varying numbers from two to five people, " No way you got a Hermione," a young man who was standing with a girl who looked kind of like Summer Glau the man and she were dressed like Cyclops and Jean Grey from the X-me.

At the outburst, all of the males and two of the females turned to see what was happening only for them all to swallow at seeing Hermione in her armor with real-looking weapons on her hips and the staff in her hands as well as his stopped them all from getting closer.

" Group leaders please come over we have some items to trade," Marcus said holding up a bracer, " it's based on the Omni tool from Mass Effect with Starfleet technology built-in with a holographic display and can pass as a cell phone in low tech worlds and a data storage large enough to hold the entire database from Earth from around twenty twenty,"

"No way my company just advertised those yesterday and I couldn't afford it even if they are only five points," the first man who noticed them said.

The other people were confused so the man continued, "Those were added to my catalog and the description was that they have a micro replicator that can build any too and they can even create Kryptonian crystal tech."

That caused the others to perk up, one man dressed like Superman from The Man of Steel stepped closer, " What are you looking for in trade, I'd like to get one of those but I am new to this and won the chance for the Halloween event from a lottery."

Marcus shrugged, "We are both new to this as well but I got a great deal from the start and I made these on a whim and one of the companies offered me the chance for the Halloween event for the schematics for them."

Hermione stepped to his side and held up a folded tent, "I made one of these in case we were somehow locked out of our home, they are tents that are expended to be almost as large as this warehouse on the inside with holo emitters that can be used as an emergency home or medical room as well as a training center, the same company traded me an industrial replicator for the rune scheme, they also draw power from ambient magic."

A young man dressed like Tuxedo Mask with four girls dressed like the sailor scouts stepped forward, " I can conjure familiar crystals I'll equally one for the Omni tool and one for the tent-looking thing."

"Deal," Marcus said holding out the bracer as Hermione held out the tent.

Tuxedo held his hands together for a few seconds covering a rainbow light, when he opened his hands two clear crystals lay in his palms, and he held them out to swap for the items.

"The bracer as we call the scan and bind to the first person to stap it to the arm, " Marcus said as he picked up one of the crystals.

Hermione took her crystal as she handed over the tent, "Lay it on the ground and say 'Erect' and it will set up by itself and the interior is voice-activated I've pre-loaded it with a basic home and food-only replicator."

At the word food replicator, the others began trying to figure out what they could offer up for trade.

The one dressed up as the Man of Steel stepped up, " I don't have much to offer but how about a scan of a T850 like Cameron from the TV series, " he said gesturing to one of the three girls with him dressed to look like the female Kryptonian from Man of Steel.

Marcus looked at her and then each other, when one of the other girls who was dressed as the female version of the Man of Steel from that Flashpoint movie, stepped up, " I can upgrade one aspect of a person," that got several reactions from everyone.

" Alright, the scan of the T850 for the bracer and one of each for the aspect upgrades?" Marcus asked the two who nodded in response.

Marcus handed over the bracer as the T850 stepped forward to be scanned, the scan revealed both the framework of the T850 as well as the formula for the organic covering.

The girl held out her hand to Marcus first, "Choose the aspect or let it be random."

Marcus looked to Hermione and tilted his head, "Technomancy is the only thing I can think of upgrading, especially when it is the only power we have that won't grow with time?"

Hermione nodded with a smile, "That's a good idea."

"You're both technomancers?" almost all of the people ask in unison.

Marcus nodded," Yeah it's part of the deal I agreed to when I was pulled out of the reincarnation cycle to power the company that offered the deal right now our point of contact other than here is the Ancient ship Destiny."

The upgrade girl nodded before taking his offered hand and he glowed for a few seconds, "You are now able to build things faster and it may grow stronger it didn't seem like the power was fully synced with your magic."

Marcus passed her the bracer and then stepped aside to let Hermione pass over the tent, the glow was just a bit lighter than when Marcus was shaking the girl's hand.

When Hermione stepped back Marcus noticed the two slightly nod to each other but kept his observation to himself for the moment.

The trading continued for a few minutes and they received several interesting items such as an infinite book that could be used to create a portable library or a device that looked to be a jewel but was magical equipment that would bond to a user to form a weapon and armor.

Now each group had at least one of a bracer and tent, when the groups separated to plan the night Marcus stepped over to talk to the group with the get-up like the Man of Steel.

"Nice little fast one you pulled back there, the real trade-off was coping one of our powers the tent and bracer was a bonus for you guys," Marcus said as he stepped to the man's side who stiffened at his words but Marcus waved it off.

" Yeah we have a home on an island in the sea of time but we didn't get much on the power's side this event was too good to pass up when we were offered a chance to come and we thought using the Kryptonian power set to make it in a few worlds and then she felt your magic and if we could get magic it would rid us of weakness to magic," the man said with a resigned expression.

"You Guys should have come as Asgardians they only lack the visual powers and the freezing breath but their power sets are the same as Kryptonians with magic," Marcus said while gesturing to his outfit.

The man looked confused, "Asgardians you mean those little grey guys from Stargate SG1?"

Marcus shook his head, " Nah the Norse gods but from the Marvel comic world."

"Ahh we don't have that comic company in my home world," the man said.

Marcus waved Hermione over and they began to describe the difference between Kryptonians and Asgardians to the group, the group seemed to like the Asgardians over Kryptonians after hearing that the Asgardians were a magical race and it would give them a boost to their newly gained magic.

"I can transfigure your costumes to be Asgardian the magic of the spell will still work on them because Janus will do the changes, not Ethan," Hermione offered.

The two living people looked at her and then at each other seeming to have a silent conversation before nodding together, then they looked at Hermione, and the man spoke softly, "Please."

Hermione nodded before waving her hands over the three, their costumes rippled and changed to be nearly copies of what Marcus and Hermione were wearing.

"Asgardians have weapons so you need to choose the type you want and remember that you will get the instinctual knowledge of how to use the weapons and armor, we will be combat mages to get the sword skills and magical knowledge from the Asgard," Hermione said as the costumes finished changing.

The three looked at each other this time, "Same set as you guys dual swords and a staff, but I think sabers for speed,"

The other two nodded, Hermione looked around the warehouse and found a few pieces of metal lying around, summoning them to them she laid them on the ground before transfiguring three sets of dual swords and three staves.

"The spell should change them to fit you better," Marcus said while the three took a pair of swords and a staff each.

"Alright let's see what else we have planned to do before the spell activities and the world goes wonky?" Marcus asked while scratching his chin.

Hermione rolled her eyes lifting her bracer, "We need to go find out what Buffy and Willow's costumes are going to be and if they are going as those unless costumes change them to Alice and Batgirl."

The group went silent listening to Hermione and a few groan thinking of the various stupid costumes that Buffy wore in their home worlds, Willow seemed to always wear ghost costumes.

"I'll go find out if we have to change Buffy and Willow's costumes, you transfer the magical data from the set of bracers you have for a possible Harry and Hermione in Halloween to the bracers the two got from us they will need it even if they get the Asgard knowledge of magic," Marcus said while he began packing up the items they got in trade.

Hermione suddenly facepalmed before rummaging through her backpack to get the magic knowledge bracers to transfer the data while Marcus was opening a portal to the island to put his backpack through it.

"If you all have a safe place to hide your stuff you need to get your gear not related to your costumes away from you or it will influence your change in ways you may not want," Marcus said while removing his bracer and putting it on his backpack.

The others began going through their gear and then some opened doors like he had and stowed the things they didn't need while others seemed to just vanish the items they didn't need.

As Hermione set up the transfer Marcus left to find Buffy and Willow, he found that they were in the CRD warehouse not far from the center of town, as he looked around he also found that people were dressed up.

Walking through town he found the costume shop Ethan ran and found Buffy and Willow leaving with bags, following them to Buffys house he also saw Xander dressed in fatigues with a plastic gun walking with Cordelia looking angry.

As they got closer he could hear Cordelia complaining about how she just missed out on getting the catwoman costume she had been looking at getting.

Getting an idea and hoping it would work Marcus stepped into a store that was closing and grabbed a few bits of clothes and a few other things to transfigure into the costume of Catwoman like the one Haley Berry wore in an almost crappie movie.

He also grabbed a few other things to make Xander's costume more realistic with a belt and sidearm looking more futuristic as well as a riffle from the game Destiny and a Ghost that would be held on his shoulder with a clear plastic panel.

At the register, he remembered that he had no cash so reached under a plate on his chest conjured a permanent gold coin about the size of a silver dollar, and laid it on the counter confusing the clerk.

"Sorry I didn't think of my wallet when I came to pick up a few last-minute things for my sister, the coin is real though it's what we are giving out this year," he told the young woman who picked up the coin and tested it then slipped it into her pocket with a nod.

After leaving he looked around to find Xander and Cordelia a little farther down the street, quickly making the changes to the things he wanted, running to catch up to them he stumbled into Xander missing Cordelia on purpose.

"Hey watch it," Cordelia yelled as she helped Xander up ignoring Marcus.

Marcus had deliberately let the bag he had the costume and props fall open, "Sorry I just found out my kid sister bought this too-tight outfit and wanted to return it before the shop closes," he said while getting up allowing the costume fall out showing it was a Catwoman like she wanted.

Xander's eyes landed on the toy guns and the ghost liking how they looked better than what he had already.

" How much?" Cordelia asked bluntly after liking the costume.

"She said she got it for twenty," Marcus told them.

"I'll take it, " she said pulling a twenty-dollar bill from her purse.

Marcus took the money and passed the costume over, he then picked up the other things and looked confused when he did.

"Something wrong?" Xander asked being the good-natured person he was.

Marcus shrugged, "This stuff was supposed to be in the donation bin at a thrift store," he then looked Xander over then to the stuff then he pushed the bag to Xander.

" Looks like they make your costume look better and I was just going to toss them," Marcus said at Xander's confused expansion.

Cordelia was nodding, "He's right Duffus that will make things look good."

"Thanks, man that'll be so cool, I just hope the troll doesn't go all 'You need to make better examples for the younger generation.' and take them away," Xander said while strapping the belt on with the sidearm then putting the rifle over his shoulder then the ghost on the opposite shoulder.

Cordelia gave him a critical once over and gave a nod, " That's better than just having that obviously fake toy."

Xander seemed to straighten up at her praise, but when Cordelia unfolded the costume and held it to her frame his eyes glazed over and he gave her a goofy smile.

"Yummy," Xander said while whipping a bit of drool from the corner of his mouth.

"Down Duffus, you may gaze upon the perfection that is me but you are not allowed to touch," Cordelia said with a actual smile toward him.

Marcus laughed at the two and walked away when it was obvious that the two were in the early days of the time they were together.

" Have fun and remember that you will need to check the goodies before eating," the two blushed and looked away once they caught the inuindo.

After leaving the two he had to run to catch Buffy and Willow who were taking their time to get to Buffys house.

Stopping at the corner he watched the two be let in by Joyce, smiling as he got another idea he picked up a stick and transfigured it into a golden cat , turning it so he could see the bottom of the statue and visualized a Egyptian rune set for protection and permanent micro rune for the statue to keep its shape, then he cast a copy spell to make ten copies, then he conjured a wooden with shipping labels for the art gallery.

Packing the statues in the crate then sealing it he lifted the crate and walked to the Summers house with it on his shoulder.

Knocking on the door and waited for an answer, When Buffy opened the door he was surprised when she stiffened up at seeing him.

"Got a delivery for a Joyce Summers the people next to the art gallery said most of her art stuff ger sent here," Marcus said tapping on the crate.

Buffy stepped to the side in the usual vamp test, he walked in and looked around for a place to put the crate.

"You can put it on the table through the door across the room." Buffy said relaxing as he passed the test.

Marcus followed her directions and put the crate on the kitchen table, "The invoice also has a Rupert Giles listed as being associated with the gallery as an expert on the old stuff and one of the items is supposed to be given to him."

"You're dressed kind of oddly for a delivery worker," Buffy said while looking over the crate before opening it and pulling out one of the statues.

"The boss called me away from a party yelling about someone who was fired a month ago that said the package was too heavy for him to lift so he just left it in the sorting area and didn't tell anyone until the boss found it this morning," Marcus said.

Buffy was bouncing the golden statue in her hand, "Yeah it's a bit heavy,"

Marcus shrugged and held out a slip of paper that looked like a confirmation of delivery form, "Yeah a bit but not that much I think the guy was just being lazy."

Buffy didn't even read it before signing the paper, before turning the statue over to look at the bottom, "It's got some scratches on the bottom."

Marcus looked at it and acted surprised, " Egyptian hyroglphs, looks like the ones for protection and banishing evil spirits."

Buffy looked at him her eyes showing suspension, "I'm going to college for ancient history, we just finished up our Egyptian for the year and those glyphs are very common in Egyptian art."

Buffy kept an eye on him while setting the statue on the table and reached for the phone on the counter, after dialing a number she held the phone to her ear, "Hey Giles we got a package I need you to look over...yeah at my house in the kitchen, delivery guy is a college student... says that the stuff is ancient Egyptian or something like that...thanks I'll keep him here."

She hung up the phone only taking her eyes off of him for a second and in that second he pulled out a chair and sat down.

" Go ahead and get dressed up for kiddy duty," Marcus told her receiving a suspicious look from her

"Passed a couple of kids your age grousing about a troll forcing them and a few other students to escort the kids from elementary school around to trick or treat," Marcus said while leaning back in his seat.

Still suspicious she left the room and returned a few minutes later with Giles in all his tweedy finest, she was wearing tightly fitting leather pants and a top under a trenchcoat.

Giles looked over the statues his eyes moving over them then he began mumbling softly the statues gave a soft glow.

"You misspoke the last word it's supposed to be 'Revela, not Revelio' and you paused too long on the second verse, " Marcus said causing the two to look confused.

"How do you know that," Buffy snapped pulling a stake from inside her coat.

"That's a good question but not one I'm here to answer, I'm here to deliver a package from someone who sent protection devices for the Slayer's family and friends also I have a party that I am missing, " Marcus said while looking over Buffy's shoulder to see Willow dressed as what looked to be a Jedi knight.

Giles had recast the detection spell this time the glow was bright, " He is right these are purely for protection," he said gesturing for her to back down.

Marcus stood and waved at them hiding the fact that he cast a spell to change their costumes back to what they were currently wearing minutes before the spell activities if they changed to what they wore in the show before apparating out of the house silently.

Reappearing in the warehouse he found Hermione opening a portal to stash her bracer and backpack, "Buffy looks to be dressed like Selen from Underworld and Willow is dressed like a Jedi."

The others were startled at his sudden appearance, "I also upgraded Xander's costume with a sidearm and riffle along with a Ghost from the game Destiny, when the worlds do whatever they are going to do there will be more protectors also Cordelia may be able to do something as Catwoman."

Everyone was looking at him like he was either a genius or totally insane, Hermione on the other hand was bouncing knowing that they didn't need to do anything.

Stepping over to him she pulled him into a hug, "We have a few minutes before the spell activities and then we can go out and have fun but remember that not everyone is a true monster until the split happens."

After a few minutes, the group was bathed in a wave of magic, when each was touched their bodies wavered a few times before settling with a few minor changes like more muscles or different hair colors, and their armor all became true armor, all had to sit as the new knowledge and skills and strength flooded their systems.

The most affected by the spell was the T850 who took a shuddering breath, "I can feel a heartbeat, I can feel everything now, " then she seemed to shut down and began to shake violently.

Her companions quickly began to try and comfort her in her new situation, it took her several minutes to recover from the shock.

"Yeah I think if we ever have an artificially intelligent companion we will have to carefully work it into becoming a real person, " Marcus said while watching the three.

Hermione rolled her eyes at his comment letting him see it but on the inside she agreed with him.

Once everyone had settled down after the changes Marcus and Hermione began looking each other over, Marcus had grown a few inches in height his hair had become a dark blonde, and now his muscles were more defined and firm, and his magic had grown in density as well as the amount his system could handle.

Hermione had grown as well her muscles while not as defined as his, she had grown in strength, Marcus had to bite his tongue when he saw that her hair had grown out some, while not as long as it was before she had it cut it was now below her shoulders.

Once finished inspecting each other they checked themselves over and liked what they found in themselves, Hermione pouted when she found the growth of her hair.

"Well let's go out for a look-see and find out what kind of fun we can get into, " Marcus said as he leaned over and kissed her.
