Sakura took the teacups from the kitchen cabinet, but suddenly someone wrapped their arms around Sakura's hips, causing Sakura to startle, and dropped one of the cups on the floor, causing the cup to shatter into pieces. Crack!
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you. Isn't that one of the cups Naruko gave us? She made these pottery classes?" Sasuke asked releasing his grip on Sakura, and seeing the orange patterns on the broken cup, he then picked up the shards of the broken cup from the floor.
"Yes. Now that you mentioned Naruko, I haven't seen her in 2 weeks. Has Naruko caught a cold, which is why we haven't seen her?" Sakura asked. "I'll fix that cup by gluing the pieces back together".
Naruko walked through the forest in Mizu no Kuni until she saw an old man and a small boy being attacked by an Oni-like creature.
Naruko dug out a kunai from her gear bag, which she threw at the Oni, then she grabbed the man and the boy and jumped onto the branch of a tree where she set the man and the boy down:
"Stay here until I give you permission to climb down from this tree".
Naruko jumped down from the tree branch, and creating a Rasengan in her right hand, ran behind Oni, slamming the Rasengan into Oni's back, causing Oni's body to split open, and Oni transformed into a spirit being that looked like a little girl, with red, short hair, pale skin, and red eyes. The spirit creature's kimono was red and black, and the shoes were brown. It was thin, and the height of an 8-year-old child.
When the spirit creature saw Naruko, it bowed to Naruko:
"I'm Karei. You must be from the Uzumaki-clan since you once managed to break my armor, because only a scion of the Uzumaki-clan can do that".
"I'm Uzumaki Naruko," Naruko said in surprise.
"I have been waiting for the descendant of the Uzumaki-clan's leader, Uzumaki Ashina for a long time in that shrine to protect her. You must be a descendant of Ashina. Go to that shrine to get something that Ashina left there", Karei said looking at the cave behind him with a red wooden gate in front, which had the Uzumaki-clan emblem attached to it. "When you've found all of us, the 7-Us, we'll lend you our power whenever you want".
Karei turned into a red crystal that floated in the air. The red crystal then turned into a ball of chakra which transferred to the crystal on Naruko's necklace which turned red while glowing a little.
Naruko walked into the cave, and saw a sword on a stone table in the cave that was rusted, but when she touched the sword, it changed. Its blade was gray now, and its hilt was yellow, with jewels on it. The sword then transformed into a bracelet that moved to Naruko's right hand. The bracelet had one white pearl with the Kanji for Karei's name. Naruko walked out of the shrine, and then looked at the people sitting in the tree:
"Now you can climb down from there".
The man and the boy climbed down from the tree:
"Thank you".
"Please. I have to go to Nadeshiko no Sato now to see my friend who lives there, but why were you in danger just now?"
"We had decided to spend the night in that cave when the recent Oni attacked us", The man said.
"It's just guarding the bracelet in that cave, that is. But the cave is safe now," Naruko said.
"I understand", The man smiled.
Naruko started walking towards Nadeshiko no Sato. Finally, he saw Nadeshiko no Sato
The village in question was located on the lightly wooded summit of three massive and steep hills that stood in a line, with two bridges spanning the ravines between them. The hills were located in a lush forested valley in a mountainous area. Structurally, the village appeared to be similar to a fortress or palace, with numerous walls, towers and brickwork being the dominant features.
Naruko walked to the gates of the village until the guards stood in front of her.
"Who are you?" The guard asked.
"I am your leader, Shizuka-sama's friend, Uzumaki Naruko. I would like to speak to Shizuka-sama", Naruko said.
"I'll get Shizuka-sama here", The second guard said from the village gate. He returned after a while with Shizuka.
Shizuka was a medium height fair skinned woman with an athletic yet curvaceous build. She had green eyes and waist length black hair in a hime style cut that was tied into a high ponytail with short bangs and chin length strands framing her face. He normally wore a pale green kimono or a beige hooded cloak when not fighting. She was wearing that outfit now. When on duty, she wore a black forehead protector and wore a kunoichi uniform to match her village; it was gray with proper shoulder pads, gray gloves and an opening in his shirt revealing part of his large cleavage. He was Naruko's age.
"Long time, Naruko. Your hair is different than before", Shizuka said after recognizing Naruko.
"Yes, Shizuka-sama. Could I write a letter to Tsunade-sama?" Naruko asked.
"Alright. Come to my study", Shizuka said leading Naruko to Shizuka's home while noting Naruko's reticence.
