bopdog111: Sorry for taking a while everyone.
Ulrich362: Agreed, but we're back now.
bopdog111: And now we're here where Atem had seen something odd involving the Midnight Channel.
Ulrich362: Something very odd, but what was it?
bopdog111: We're about to find out soon.
Ulrich362: Sounds good to me, enjoy the chapter.

"Hello, Shirogane speaking." Naoto's voice answered.
"Hey Naoto." Atem greeted after waking up checking if she's awake.
"Atem, how is everything? Has there been any new information regarding the incident?" Naoto inquired.
"Nothing yet. But Naoto... are you one to believe in legends?" Atem asked her.
"All legends have some aspect of truth, why do you ask?" she inquired.
"Well I tried something called the Midnight Channel I've heard where if you stare at a off TV during Midnight on a rainy day you see your soulmate." Atem explained to her.
There was a brief pause as Naoto was clearly trying to think of what to say. "I see... well I'm certain that's just a rumor."
"Well something did happen when I tried it." Atem admitted to her. "Some girl appeared on the screen, and she looked like one of the students at my school."
Naoto frowned. "I see, well it may have been a trick of the light but let me know if it happens again."
"Okay. I love you Naoto." Atem said to her figuring it's just him being tired.
"I love you too Atem, have a good day." Naoto mentioned before hanging up.
Atem pocket his phone placing a hand on his head. "I'm not going crazy... right?" Shaking his head he exited out of the house to get some fresh air figuring that can help clear his head.
He saw people walking around having their normal days as Souji was heading to school.
"Oh Souji!" he called over to him.
"Huh, oh Atem. Good morning." Souji smiled.
"You alright?" Atem asked him as they walked together.
"Yeah, are you ok?" Souji asked.
"Yeah, for the most part. Otherside something really strange last night..." Atem admitted over to him.
"Huh, what do you mean?" Souji asked.
"Well... I'll tell you when we get to school." Atem admitted to him.
"Alright, I'm glad you're going to be in class, having more friends is always nice." Souji admitted.
Atem nodded as they walked together.
In class...
Mr. Mooroka is taking attendance now as students responded there here over, and he gets to the one that in's last for him. "Atem Shirogane!"
"Here." Atem spoken up from his usually empty seat which surprised everyone he's here today.
"So you finally grace our class with your presence, what an honor." Morooka rolled his eyes.
"Joy, glad to be here." Atem is also sarcastic cause he doesn't quite enjoy his company. "Now how about we get class underway, right, Morooka?"
Morooka glared at him before looking down. "Alright let's get started."
Based on the type of persona Morooka is, Souji is a bit surprised that Atem had the nerve to openly speak like that to him without drawback though since he was technically (TECHNICALLY) respectful to him he doesn't be surprised. Class carried on like normal, and at the end of the day Atem gets up from his seat heading to Souji.
"Did you guys see it last night?" Chie asked Souji and Yosuke.
"Yeah, I definitely saw something." Yosuke nodded.
"Me too, it was blurry but I definitely saw a girl from our school... but, my soulmate's a girl?" Chie wondered.
"See what?" Atem asked over which alarmed Yosuke, and Chie about him.
"Huh, oh Atem hi." Chie mentioned. "We were just talking about that rumor, the Midnight Channel."
She starts sweating with Yosuke looking a little nervous himself.
"Hmm, so you two done it as well?" Atem asked them.
"Oh... you tried it then? Yeah we did." Chie nodded calming down a bit. "Who did you see?"
"A girl who seemed to go to school here dancing." He gave his answer.
"That's who I saw." Yosuke told him.
"Wait, we all saw the same girl, so we all have the same soulmate?" Chie questioned.
"How should I know?" Yosuke sweatdropped not having the answer before turning to Souji for his opinion. "How 'bout you? Did you see it?"
"Well I thought it wasn't anything when midnight hit but my TV cut on, and some girl was there like what we know. But then, I started hearing some weird voices in my head saying about opening a door, and then I started getting sucked into my TV..."
Both Yosuke, and Chie sweatdropped cause other side from the girl image they haven't encountered any 'weird voices' or 'sucked into the TV' like Souji did. Atem however frowned. "Huh, what do you mean you got sucked into your TV?"
"I'm not sure... I put my hand into it, and something started pulling me." Souji admitted.
"Were you that tired last night? You must've just fallen asleep in front of your TV." Yosuke grinned taking this to tease him.
"That'd be one interesting dream, though." Chie pointed out. "I like the part where you got stuck 'cause your TV was too small. That's pretty realistic. If it had been bigger..." She then recalled. "Actually that reminds me, my parents have been looking for a bigger TV."
"Oh yeah? Well, flatscreen TVs are definitely in these days. Wanna go check 'em out on the way back? We're beefing up our electronics department this month." Yosuke grinned offering over.
"Oh definitely! My parents don't know anything about electronics, and I've just gotta see my kung-fu movies on the big screen!" Chie grinned excited before doing a kung-fu move with a dramatic sound effect.
Yosuke sweatdropped while Atem blushed a little from that before the first boy turned to Souji. "We've got some pretty big ones in stock." He then grinned deciding to joke. "I bet they'd be big enough for you to fit into, hehe." Which was rewarded with a smack over his head by Atem.
"I have to pick up some things for dinner anyway but don't joke about that, it's not funny." he told Yosuke before turning to Souji. "That was probably a dream, you might have fallen asleep after seeing that image, it was late and you might not be used to Inaba quite yet."
Yu only shrugged not sure before Chie looked over. "Well uh... should we head off?"
"Right, I'll see you soon." Atem nodded walking off.
Arriving at Junes he went straight to the grocery department to pick up some fresh ingredients for that night's dinner. He sighed at this walking in, and searches over the department looking over. He takes some checking over nodding from the freshness, and walked taking some things. Walking over to a register he takes out his wallet handing some yen over to the cashier over.
"Huh, Atem?" asked a voice as he turned to see Dojima.
"Uncle Dojima." Atem nodded over to him.
Dojima smiled. "I didn't expect to bump into you here, how have you been?"
"Doing fine. Are you, and the others trying to find what the hell happened with Miss Yamano?"
"Yeah, and now there's another body... actually call it detective's intuition but I would appreciate it if you could do me a small favor." Dojima admitted.
"Yeah, it's a really strange case... but actually do you mind if I ask a small favor?" Dojima requested.
"Yes?"
"I know it's a lot to ask, but with all this happening right when my nephew arrives in town... do you mind just keeping an eye on him?" Djoima asked. "I would understand if you can't but I'd appreciate it if you could at least keep him safe."
Atem softly nodded to him. "Good move to ask me since I watch pretty much the whole town. I'll be sure to make sure he doesn't get involved in any trouble."
"Thanks, I appreciate that." Dojima smiled taking his groceries. "If you need anything, just let me know."
Atem nodded as he turned before then stopping turning over. "And Uncle Dojima?"
"Be sure to give Adachi-san a break huh?" Atem grinned over in a humor moment.
Dojima chuckled. "I'll think about it, maybe when we solve this one I'll give him a day off."
With that the two walked out as in another part of the store Chie, Souji, and Yousuke are in the TV section talking before they entered a TV in a panic strut before exiting groaning together heading out.
At the shrine Atem walked over staring as he knelled down praying over. "Mom, Dad... I hope you two are doing well wherever your at now. A body has been found, but I hope this is a one time thing. I'm pretty sure it isn't an accident but I'm hoping that Uncle Dojima can find who done it."
He wiped away a few tears before smiling. "I've been in touch with Naoto too, hopefully she can visit sometime soon... even if things are going wrong it'll be nice to see her in person. Oh, and I'm still trying to go to school but... it's hard. I love you guys, and I'll see you soon."
Getting up he slowly headed home. He went cooking himself something, and went to bed. However unaware to them something happened which resulted in a body being shown like the other victim.
The next day...
Atem yawned a bit as he woken up suddenly hearing something. "What the hell...?"
Running to the window he saw sirens passing his house. Suspicious he gotten out following where they are going. He soon saw what they were doing, it was a body on top of a TV pole, Saki Konishi's body.
His eyes widen in horror seeing it. "Holy shit..."
"Stay back young man." an officer told him.
Atem only stared before he turned away calling Naoto real quick. It rang for a while. "Atem?"
"Naoto, we're in some deep shit right now." Atem told her.
"What are you talking about?" she questioned.
"Another body had shown up... it was Saki-senpai, the girl who found Mayumi Yamano." Atem answered grimly.
"What, are you certain?" Naoto asked him.
"Yes. Before that she went missing." Atem confirmed.
"I see... I'll see if I can arrive in Inaba soon but keep me informed of the situation Atem." Naoto mentioned.
"Got it." After saying bye he hanged up sighing before heading to school. He gets to school twice in a row... never happened before. He also overheard there was going to be an assembly.
He accepted walking, and attended the assembly for Saki's memory. He wasn't paying much attention but he noticed Souji and Chie talking but Yosuke looked depressed.
"I see your here." he spoken up walking to them.
"Oh... Atem, you don't usually come to school, especially not two days in a row." Chie admitted. "Do you know what the assembly is going to be about?"
"Unfortunately." Atem frowned.
Yosuke frowned slightly hearing that.
"Huh, what's wrong Yosuke?" Chie asked him just as the principal stepped out to speak.
"I... regret to say that I have a terrible announcement for all of you. One of our third-year students, Ms. Saki Konishi of class three... has passed away." the principal stated solemnly.
"Passed away...!?" Chie asked in shock as Yosuke looked visibly upset at that.
"Ms. Konishi was found deceased early this morning... The reasons behind her passing are currently under investigation by the police. If they ask you for your cooperation, I urge you, as students of this school, to provide only the facts." the principal continued as the students started talking to each other about what he said. "All right, please quiet down... I have been assured by the faculty that there's no evidence that bullying was involved in the incident. So mind what you say, not only to the police but to anyone who asks..."
"Found dead...? How could this happen...?" Chie asked only to turn to Yosuke who was just looking down silently.
Atem frowned as he closed his eyes, tuning out the rest of the what the principal was saying but hoping Naoto would arrive soon because if there was a serial killer in Inaba... no, it couldn't have been her, that's impossible... right?
Sometime after school he walked by himself passing by a TV that is playing a LIVE report about the incident before it cuts to Aoi Aizawa over. "-A high school student found the body?" She appears to be asking a interviewer about it.
"That's correct." the interviewer nodded.
"And she gotten murdered cause she founded Yamano's body." Aoi's expression is the same as before. "If I have to guess, the killer is covering his tracks by leaving no trace so I'd say that high schooler gotten in the wrong place, at the wrong time. That's what she gets for sticking her nose in other people's business."
"But Aizawa-san, are you saying your blaming her for finding the body?"
"She did what she was suppose to do, report a crime." Aoi explained so they wouldn't get the wrong idea. "But kids these days really think there 'mature' or 'good' enough to want to do something on there own. The job for that is for the police only, so all of you who are the same as her; get out of the way, and let the police do there job."
Atem clenched his fists slightly hearing that, Aizawa always made him angry and this was no exception... Saki Konishi didn't do anything wrong, she saw a body and told the police.
"So... she really was killed..." a man softly spoken beside Atem looking down. "I should've warned her more..."
"Huh?" Atem asked turning to see the man. "What do you mean warn her?"
"She was in danger like Mayumi... I tried to warn her..." the man kept looking down before turning walking off.
Atem blinked at that. "Weird... what is he talking about?"
Shaking his head he decided to head home.
bopdog111: A bit short but it's cause the good stuff takes a while to arrive.
Ulrich362: True... though there is already the two murders so... not exactly good stuff.
bopdog111: Well next would be someone else going missing, and Naoto arriving to Inaba.
Ulrich362: That sounds fun, see you in the next chapter.
bopdog111: Be sure to review!
