Chapter Nine.
At the tunnel entrance Silver and Blaze emerged from the tunnel. Phew out at last. I hope Sonic, Tails and Knuckles got out okay!" Blaze said. I'm sure they're just fine, they're probably back in Maddalena right now!" Silver said. Speaking of Maddalena we better head back our selves!" Blaze said. "Yeah, we better!" Silver said, about head back when they felt something shaking the ground. The two of them looked around as three Demon Generals walked past them. Silver and Blaze hid and watched them walk on. As they watched they saw one of them carrying a purple Chaos Emerald. "Silver look, A Chaos Emerald!" Blaze whispered. "Let's follow them and see where they go?" Silver whispered, as the quietly and carefully followed them from a distance.
By the time Tails and Knuckles woke up it was morning. The two of them moaned and sat up and found themselves in a nearby Oasis. "Huh? What happened? And where are we?" Tails asked, just when Rouge approached them. "About time you two woke up!" she said. "Rouge? What happened?' Knuckles asked, holding his aching head. "Don't you remember?" She asked. Tails thought for a second and it all came back to him. Tails gasped. "The Factory. I remember now, that demon Grigor hit us with a powerful shockwave and made the entire place come crashing down on us!" Tails said. Yes and Sera, she, she!" Knuckles said. "She saved us, using Chaos control!" Rouge said. Chaos control? But how, I thought humans couldn't use the Chaos Emeralds!" Tails said. "Neither did I, but I guess we were wrong!" Rouge said. Tails hummed as he looked around. "Hey, where is Sera?" Tails asked. I don't know, she was the only one who wasn't here when I came too!" Rouge said. "Oh no. Sonic is not going to like this!" Knuckles said, looking at Sonic who was still out cold. I know and neither will her uncle!" Rouge said, looking at Sam, who was also out cold.
Sera's eyes opened at first, they were blurry, when they started to clear she saw that she was in another Oasis. "What the, where am I" she thought, sitting up. "Where's uncle and the others?" She thought, looking around and gasped when she found her sword and grapple gun on the ground near the white Chaos Emerald. "My sword, my grapple gun!" she said, picking up her sword and checked it out and sighed with relief. "Good, at least my sword is okay, but my grapple gun has been distroyed!" She thought, putting her sword away, only to gasp again when she saw her hands. "What?" she said, rushing to a nearby pond and looked at her reflection. Sera screamed loudly, she was in shock, her entire body had changed she was no longer a human, now she was a black hedgehog with purple ends. Her ocean blue eyes were the only things that was still the same. "I don't believe it. What happened to me? I'm, I'm, a Hedgehog!" she thought, then she saw the white Chaos Emerald. "The Chaos Emerald!" she said, walking to it and picked it up. That's when her memory came back. She sees herself holding the Emerald in her hand with her uncle, Sonic and her other friends close together as the entire building started to collapse around them, she then remembered shouting out Chaos Control. Sera looked at the Emerald in her hand. "The Emerald, it must have done this to me, but why?" She thought, thinking about her uncle and and friends. "Uncle, Sonic and all my friends, I hope your all okay?" Sera thought.
Silver and Blaze both carefully followed the three Demon generals to another oasis. When they reached a spot in the Oasis. "So, Rutger, what is her highnesses orders?" Tovah asked. "Her Grace told me to tell you, to not worry about retrieving the remaining Chaos Emeralds from tne enemies, her highness already has a plan to take all Chaos Emeralds from them!" Rutger told them. "Excellent and once she has all seven Chaos Emeralds, she will have the ultimate power to destroy all life on this planet and claim this world as her own!" Yorath said, laughing. "This is not good Blaze, if Lilis has a way to take all the Emeralds from us, it could mean the end us all!" Silver whispered. "Then we better get out of here and warn the others!" Blaze whispered. "Right, come on!" he whispered, about to sneak away, when Silver stepped on a twig and snapped it. "Uh oh!" Silver said, looking at the demons. "What was that?" Rutger asked, turning the sound and saw Silver and Blaze. "Spies!" Yorath shouted. "Run Blaze!" Silver cried as they started to run. Rutger growled and was about to give chase. "Wait Rutger, Yorath and I will deal with those spies, you get this Emerald to her grace!" Tovah said, handing him the purple Chaos Emerald. "Right!" Rutger said, going into the ground with the Emerald. While Tovah and Yorath went after Silver and Blaze.
Back in the other Oasis, Sonic finally came too. He moaned as he opened his eyes. "Sonic!" Tails said. "Hey Sonic, good to see ya awake, how are ya feeling?" Knuckles asked. "Ugh my head, what happened?" Sonic asked, slowly sitting up. It was Grigor, he hit us with a powerful shockwave, it knocked you and Shadow out, worse it damaged the entire factory's support beams, and the entire build was on the verge of collapsing on top of us!" Tails told him. But it wasn't for Sera, none of us would be here right now!" Rouge said. "Sera? She saved but how?" Sonic asked. "She used Chaos control!" Shadow said. "What? Chaos control? But I thought the humans couldn't use the Chaos Emerald!" Sonic said. Neither did I, but I guess we were wrong!" Shadow said, as Sonic looked around for her. Wait, where is Sera?" Sonic asked. "Uhm, we don't know, she was the only one that wasn't here. Sam woke up before you and he's beyond worried!" Tails said, looking at Sam who looked sad and worried. Sonic got up and approached Sam. Oh my beautiful Sera, where could you be?" He said. "Don't worry sir, I'm going to find her. You just hang in there!" Sonic said, about to speed away. "Wait Sonic you're not ready to venture out yet, you're still recovering! Tails told him. "I'm fine, it's Sera I'm concern about!" Sonic said, speeding off. "I hope he finds her!" Sam said. Don't worry Sam, If I know Sonic he won't stop until he finds her. In the meantime, let's get you home!" Tails said, as he, Knuckles and Sam headed out of the oasis and towards Maddalena. Rouge stared at Shadow. "So, what are we going to do?" Rouge asked. "We need to find and stop Lilis. If Silver's vision is correct, then it could the end of everything!" Shadow said, as they headed out.
