The Demons of Maddalena

Chapter One.

After hearing the seven Chaos Emeralds appeared in a desert city called Maddalena, Sonic speeds down the night highway toward the city. When he reaches the city, he notices a lot of the buildings were damaged. "Whoa, what happened here?" Sonic asked. "You must be from out of town? an old man said, slowly walking up to him. Yes, I came in search of the Chaos Emeralds, what happened here?" Sonic asked. "For the three hundred years our fair city has been under attack by a demon name Queen Lilis, she and her demon generals and army have been attacking our city for as long as I can remember!" the old man told him. Lilis, demons. Wow that's terrible, three hundred years sure is a long time to be attacked!" Sonic said. "Yes, it's become a growing problem here in Maddalena!" the old man said, hearing crashing and screaming. The two looked as a crowd of people ran past them. "Run, their attacking again!" a man cried, running with the others. "Oh no not again!" the old man cried, slowly trying to get back into his house. Sonic looked and saw several demons chasing the people. "Whoa he was right there are demons here!" Sonic thought, quickly speeding towards the demons. With his great speed Sonic had no trouble taking out the demons and after the remaining demons retreated, he heard cheering, Sonic turned as a crowd of people went up to him. "Well done, Hedgehog, that's showing those demons who's boss!" The old man said, slowly walking up to him, as the people shook his hand. "Aw, it was nothing, by the way do any of you know where I find the military base?" Sonic asked. "The Military base? Why do you want to go there?" a woman asked. "I heard that two Chaos Emeralds were found somewhere in this city and that they were taken to a military base" Sonic told them. "Hm, you must be talking about the two glowing gems they found in the heart of the city!" the old man said. "Yes, that's them, please tell me where their base is at?" Sonic asked. Sure, the Military base is on the far Northeast side of Maddalena!" a man told him. "Thanks!" Sonic said, about speed off. "Wait why are you so anxious to go there, the military aren't just going to let you in!" The old man said. "I know but I got to get to those Emeralds before Eggman does!" Sonic said. "Eggman? Who's Eggman?" A lady asked. "Dr. Eggman, he's an evil doctor who wants to conquer the world!" Sonic told them. "Oh, he's one of those people eh! a man said. "Yeah, and if I don't stop him from collecting all seven Chaos Emeralds, he'll conquer the world!" Sonic said, rushing off.

In a quiet neighbourhood. Fifteen-year-old Sera Worthington, who has black neck long hair with purple ends and beautiful ocean blue eyes is once again patrolling her city for demons. Sera sighed. "Another night patrolling the streets from demons. For as long as I can remember these demons have always attacked us. But now the tables have turned!" She thought, using her grapple gun and heads to the Northeast side of the city. On a lonely street two boys talk to each other while heading for home unaware that not too far a fat demon called Gorge watches them as they approach them. The boys, too busy talking to each other, didn't see Gorge until they bumped into him. "Oh Excuse? one of them said, seeing Gorge. The boys screamed and ran off in fear, so afraid the boys ran straight into a dead-end alley. The boys turned to find Gorge right there. Gorge laughed, as the two shook with fear. "End of the road boys. Tonight, I feast on you!" Gorge said, getting ready to eat them, the boys cried and held each other and closed their eyes and waited for the end, When Sera landed behind Gorge. "Hey, hey Demon!" She called. Gorge turned to face her. "Leave those boys alone you fat demon!" Sera said, as the boys watched. "If you want to try and eat someone, try eating me!" she said, readying her sword. Gorge angrily growled at her and tried to grab her, but Sera quickly moved and then struck him. Gorge cried as he fell to the ground and turned into a red mist. The Boys who were still frightened, walked up to her. "Thank you, Miss!" one said. "You saved us!" the second said, running for home. Sera smiles before firing her grapple gun and moves on.

Far in the West side of the desert Silver the hedgehog and his best friend Blaze the cats walk through the desert towards the city. The night before Silver had a vision about a desert city, the seven Chaos Emeralds and a demon queen. In his vision he saw the seven Chaos Emeralds circling around a giant demon queen, the night sky was red, and the Demon was laughing, then there was a bright light and then darkness. Now the two of them travel to the desert city Maddalena to try and stop this disaster from happening. "Come on Blaze, Maddalena can't be too far away now!" Silver said, walking on. I hope not, because it's going to suck walking through this desert during the day!" Blaze said, following him. Twenty minutes later they walk up a sandy dune and see the city in the distance. "There it is Blaze, Maddalena!" Silver said. "Great, I don't know how much more desert I can take!" Blaze said.

The two were a few miles from the city when. "Get off me you creep!" a familiar voice cried. Silver and Blaze both looked ahead and saw Amy Rose being picked on by a group of demons. "Mm, you look good cutie, good enough to eat!" the lead demon said, laughing as Amy cried out. "Hey, let go of my friend demon!" Silver cried angrily. "What's this? Who are you?" The lead demons asked. "I'm Silver, Silver the hedgehog and I don't like creeps who hurt my friends!" Silver said. "Too bad Hedgehog we saw her first!" a second demon said. "Yeah, so you better scram before this gets bad for you!" A third said, as they all start laughing. Silver became angry then used his psychokinesis to lift all the demons into the air. "Hey what are you doing put us down!" The lead demon cried, as Silver threw them at each other, and they slammed into each other and fell to the ground. the lead demon roared angrily. "You, how dare you attack us!" The second demon shouted. No one attacks the demons of Queen Lilis and gets away with it!" The third said. "Just wait till the generals hear what you did Hedgehog, you're going to be sorry you mess with the demons of Queen Lilis!" The lead demon shouted, disappearing. After they were gone. "Silver!" Amy cried, running into his arms. "Oh, thank you, thank you so much for saving me!" she cried. "Amy, Amy Rose, what are you doing here?" Silver asked. "I was on my way to Maddalena to find Sonic!" Amy said. "Sonic, he's here too?" Blaze asked. "Yes, he heard that two Chaos Emeralds were found in the desert city Maddalena and wherever Sonic goes I follow!" Amy said, about to move on. "Wait Amy, why don't you stay with us?" Silver asked. "We're going to Maddalena too, why don't we go together?" Blaze asked. "Sure, that would be great!" Amy said. "Great, then let's get going!" Silver said. "Lead the way!" Amy said, as she and Blaze followed Silver as he led the way.

Sonic arrived at the Military base and found two of the guards out cold. "Oh no I'm too late, Eggman is here!" Sonic thought, just when Eggman crashed through the ceiling. He laughed as he flew away from the base. "At last, they are mine!" Eggman said, looking at the blue and green Chaos Emeralds. Sonic sped up the wall and rushed across the base roof and leaped into air and towards Eggman's Egg mobile he rolled into a ball and struck the back of the Egg mobile, Eggman cried out before looking around and found Sonic waving at him. "Well, well Sonic I was wondering when you would show up!" Eggman said, pressing a button on his wrist. and a large robot flew in and landed in front of Sonic. "I had it with you hedgehog, you've been a thorn in my side long enough. Egg-Tron attack!" Eggman ordered, As Egg-Tron opened fire, Sonic quickly dodged his attacks and rushed at him and tried to spin attack him only to find out he couldn't. "Oh no!" Sonic cried, as Eggman laughed. "Nice try Sonic but you see I built Egg-Tron with a new special metal that you cannot damage!" Eggman said, laughing again. Hm, there's got to be a way to defeat this robot!" Sonic thought, searching around Egg-Tron for a weakness. Sonic then noticed a spot-on Egg-Tron's left leg. Sonic rushed to it and attacked it. Egg-Tron shook as he took damage. "What no!" Eggman cried, as Sonic headed around again and headed at his leg again while dodging Egg-Tron's attacks and struck it a second time. This time Egg-Tron was smoking a bit. "Stop fooling around Egg-Tron and finish that Hedgehog!" Eggman ordered, as Egg-Tron started to not only opened fire on Sonic, but he also began to fire rockets at him as well. Sonic ran and dodged all of Egg-Tron's attacks as rockets exploded all around him, Sonic struck Egg-Tron's left leg one last time and Egg-Tron shook, smoked and sparked before crashing to the ground and exploded. "Argh, you may have defeated my robot Sonic, but I'm still one step ahead of you!" Eggman said, laughing as he held both Emeralds in his hand. Suddenly the ground began to shake. "Whoa!" Sonic cried almost losing his balance. "Now what?" Eggman asked, just as a giant demon hand came out of the ground and grabbed the Egg mobile. Eggman cried as he almost fell out of his Egg mobile. Sonic watched in shock and disbelief as the rest of the demon rose out of the ground. The demon was huge. He stared at Eggman while holding the Egg mobile. Eggman gasped as he stared at the demon. "You, human, you possess two of the Chaos Emeralds, I want them, Give them to me!" He demanded. "What no way. These Emeralds belong to me, and I won't let anyone else have them!" Eggman said, summoning in another one of his large robots. The robot flew in only to be grabbed and destroyed in the demon's bare hand. "Ah, my robot!" Eggman cried. "I won't ask you again human, give me those Chaos Emeralds!" The demon demanded, using his claw to damage the Egg mobile. Eggman began to lose control of the Egg mobile, as he tried to gain control, he lost hold of the green Chaos Emerald that landed onto the demon's hand. Eggman leaped out of his Egg mobile still clinging to the Blue Chaos Emerald and landed back into another Egg mobile that flew him out of there. The giant demon stared at the Emerald in his hand. "At last, a Chaos Emerald for my queen!" He said, still staring at it. Suddenly something blue and fast sped across his hand and took the Emerald. The demon looked around and saw Sonic holding the Emerald. "Thanks for the Emerald Demon. Got to go now!" Sonic said, speeding off, as the Demon angrily growled.

Soon Sonic was on a nearby roof, he giggled as he tossed the green Emerald into the air and back into his hand. "Alright that's one Emerald down, six more to go!" He thought, unaware that the demon had found him. Sonic cried out and struggled as he was grabbed. "Foolish insect, give me back that Emerald!" He said, making Sonic drop the Emerald. Ugh, no!" Sonic cried, still struggling, as the demon picked the Emerald. Then the demon began to crush Sonic in his hand. "no longer will you be a pest to me. Farewell little hedgehog!" He said, still crushing him. Sonic tried to free himself until he lost consciousness. When all seemed lost for Sonic Sera came swinging at the Demon and struck his arm with her sword. The demon immediately dropped Sonic, who fell onto a nearby roof still unconscious. The Demon cried out as he held his injured arm. "Who dares attack General Grigor?' He demanded to know. "I dare Demon!" Sera said, as Grigor looked down at her. "Foolish little human, you will pay for attacking me!" Grigor said, about to crush her Sera moved quickly and fired her grapple gun and swung towards Grigor's chest where she struck it. Grigor gasped and grabbed his chest and disappeared. "Hum, so much for him!" Sera thought, remembering Sonic. Sera landed beside Sonic and checked for a pulse, then Sonic started to come around. "Ugh, What?" Sonic asked, sitting up while holding his head. "Easy, easy there fella!" Sera said. "What happened? I remember being grabbed by a huge demon and that's it!" Sonic said. "That was Grigor, and he was crushing you!" Sera said. Sonic gasped. "Oh no the Chaos Emerald he took the Chaos Emerald from me!" Sonic said, trying to get up but fell back down. Whoa easy there!" Sera said, holding him. You don't understand I need to get that Emerald back!" Sonic said, feeling dizzy. "There's no way you'll be able to get it back now, Grigor has properly already given that gem to Lilis by now!" Sera told him, as Sonic sighed with disappointment. Then he thought of Something. "Wait a minute. if that demon was crushing me and I lost conscious then how did I?" he said, looking at Sera. "It was you, you saved me, didn't you?" Sonic asked. Well of course I did, your life was in danger!" She said, Sonic then smiled. Unaware a spy demon watches them from another building and whatever he saw their queen saw too and what she saw made her mad. "Go, find me the Chaos Emeralds!" Lilis ordered, as her demons bowed and left.

Eggman entered his new base looking defeated. Aw, you're back, welcome home sir!" Cubot said, greeting him. "Did you get the Chaos Emeralds sir?" Orbot asked. "Yes, one but I lost the other one to a demon!" Eggman sadly said, sitting down. "I Can't believe these demons are also after the Chaos Emeralds. I'm going to have to find a better way to retrieve the Emeralds, hm, maybe I can get the people of this city to help me find the remaining Chaos Emeralds!" Eggman said. "And how are you going to get them to help you sir!" Cubot asked. "Easy I'll force them to help me. Once I kidnap their mayor!" Eggman said, heading to his computer. "Let's see, who is the current mayor right now?" Eggman asked, searching the Maddalena city Hall records. "Aw, here we are!" he said, reading the name of the mayor. "Samuel Robinson he's the current mayor of Maddalena. Now let's see if we can't find any more info on him!" Eggman said, typing his name in. "Hm, let's see, forty-seven-years-old, not married, raising his only niece, Sera Worthington!" He read. "Sounds like a good target boss!" Cubot said, just when a photo of Sera looking at a picture of Sera. Eggman gasped when he saw it. Oh my!" He said, in love. What is it Boss?" Orbot asked, as Eggman cleared his throat. "Nothing, nothing!" he said, reading more information about Sam. "Excellent this Sam Robinson is just who I need to get the people of this city to do my bedding, and with his niece as my prisoner as well, Robinson will not dare try anything!" Eggman said, staring at Sera's picture.

On a quiet road Sera and Sonic walk down the street. "Feeling better?" Sera asked. Yes, thanks for asking, by the way I never got your name back there!" Sonic said. "I'm Sera, Sera Worthington, What's yours?" She asked. "I'm sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog!" Sonic told her. Nice to meet you Sonic. So, tell me Sonic, why are those gems your after so important to you?" Sera asked. The seven Chaos Emeralds are very powerful, when they are all together, those with evil intentions can use their power to conquer the world or worse destroy it!" Sonic explained. "Wow that horrible and I believe that is the reason Lilis is after those Emeralds too!" Sera said. "Tell me more about this Lilis?" Sonic asked. "Lilis is the queen of the demons that keep attacking Maddalena, Grigor, the demon that was crushing you is one of her top Generals and will do anything to help his queen destroy all life on Earth!" Sera said. "If that's true then I better find the rest of those Emeralds quickly!" Sonic said, about to run off, when he turned back to her. "Thanks again for saving me Sera, I owe you one!" Sonic said, giving her a thumbs up. "I hope we meet up again Sonic!" Sera said. "I hope so too, till then see ya!" Sonic said, speeding away.

On the East side of Maddalena Silver, Blaze and Amy finally made it into the city. "Ugh, finally I thought we never get out of that sandy desert!" Blaze said. "Thank you for getting me here safely Silver, and now that we are here I'm going to start looking for Sonic!" Amy said. "Alright but be careful, I got a feeling those demons will be here too!" Silver said. "Don't worry once I find Sonic he'll protect me from those creeps!" Amy said, running off. "Goodbye Amy and good luck!" Blaze said, watching Amy run down the street. She then turned her attention to Silver. Well, now that we are here what's our next move!" Blaze asked. We need to get information about this Queen Lilis, let's see if some of the people here can tell us more about her!" Silver said, running off. Silver and Blaze eventually found and talked to some of the citizens of Maddalena, and they told them everything about Lilis and her Demons, they even told them where they could begin their search. Soon the two of them headed towards the north side of the city. "Wow that incredible, I can't imagine how these people live their lives, knowing they are constantly being attacked every day!" Blaze said. "I can't either, and now that we got the information we need, let's head out there and see what we can find!" Silver said, moving on.

Sera arrived at the home she and her uncle Sam live at. "Hello Uncle, I'm home!" Sera said, closing and locking the door. Just as Sam came out of his office. Aw hello Sera dear!" he said, hugging her. "How was your patrol?" Sam asked. It was interesting. "I met a new friend!" Sera said, taking her shoes off. "Oh, you met someone? Was it a cute boy?" He asked. "Ew, uncle!" Sera said, grossed out. Sam laughed. "Sorry dear. I know it's none of my business!" He said, following her up to her bedroom. "Well, whoever you met I hope you and they become good friends!" Sam said. "Yeah, I do too!" Sera said, thinking about Sonic. Sera relaxed on her bed, as she laid there, she happened to look at a photo of her as a baby being held by her mother and her father standing behind them. Sera reached over and grabbed the photo. As she stared at it she began to see herself crying and being carried by her mother as she frightfully ran from something. Sera continued to stare at the photo when she heard her uncle's cell phone ring. "Hello, oh good evening, Maya, what can I do for you?" Sera heard. "Oh, well can't he wait until tomorrow?" She heard. "An emergency huh, okay, okay, tell him to sit tight and I'll be there as soon as I can!" Sera heard. leaving her room. "Uncle? What's wrong?" Sera asked, following him down the stairs and to the front door. "There's an emergency at the office, so I might be gone for a while. There are some leftovers in the fridge if you want some!" Sam said, putting his shoes on. "Goodbye Sera dear, I'll be back as soon as I can!" he said, opening the door and stepping out. "Okay uncle, I'll be here!" Sera said, closing and locking the door.

Twenty minutes later, Sam arrived at City Hall and parked his car in his spot. After locking and securing his car, he headed inside and up to his waiting room. "Hello Maya, I'm here!" He greeted. "Hello sir!" She said, trying not to look scared. "So where is this guy that couldn't wait until tomorrow?" He asked. "He's waiting for you in your office!" she said, still trying not to scream. Sam entered his office and found it dark. "Hello?" Sam called. "Good evening Mr. Robinson, I have been waiting for you!" Eggman said, turning on a lamp. "Allow me introduce myself I am Dr. Eggman, and I have come for you!" Eggman said. "For me? For what reason?" Sam asked, getting concerned. "Two reasons, the first reason that I have come to your city, is in search of the seven Chaos Emeralds!" Eggman said. "Chaos Emeralds?" Sam asked, in confusion. "Yes, the two glowing gems your people found three days ago are called Chaos Emeralds!" Eggman told him. "Oh!" Sam said. "The second reason I have come here is to conquer the world!" Eggman told him. "Conquer the world? Are you serious? And just how are you going to achieve that?" Sam asked. "That's where you come in Mr. Robinson, with you as my prisoners, your people will have no choice but to help me find the rest of the Chaos Emeralds. Once I have all seven Chaos Emeralds, I will use them to conquer the world!" Eggman said, signaling for his robots to come in. The egg-bots crashed through the window and seized Sam. "No, no you can't do this, I, I have a niece who needs me. Who will take care of her?" Sam asked. "Don't worry about your lovely niece Mr. Robinson, she too will be joining us eventually!" Eggman said, signaling them again as the Egg-bots flew out of the broken window with Sam cried out on the way out. "Excellent, everything is going as Plan, now to put the next phase of my plan into motion!" Eggman said, picking up the phone. claw to damage the Egg mobile. Eggman began to lose control of the Egg mobile, as he tried to gain control, he lost hold of the green Chaos Emerald that landed onto the demon's hand. Eggman leaped out of his Egg mobile still clinging to the Blue Chaos Emerald and landed back into another Egg mobile that flew him out of there. The giant demon stared at the Emerald in his hand. "At last, a Chaos Emerald for my queen!" He said, still staring at it. Suddenly something blue and fast sped across his hand and took the Emerald. The demon looked around and saw Sonic holding the Emerald. "Thanks for the Emerald Demon. Got to go now!" Sonic said, speeding off, as the Demon angrily growled.
