Chapter 02:Chainsaw Man
Denji eyes fluttered open
He found himself sitting in an open palace-like room with large white pillars on each side of him and a red carpet leading to a comfortable throne made of gold.Sitting on a throne was a blond man in royal blue robes."So you're the one that made binding vow with Pochita?" the man standing up.Before Denji could question anything he blast a powerful killing intent. Falling to his knees Denji looked up see the man looking down on him with just his piercing blue eyes visible."Your a weak soul aren't you" the man said "You put yourself in a situation you're not ready for".This made Denji grit his teeth and thought "Come on body! Move it already!" and with sheer will power Denji overpower his instincts and ran up to the man.
The guy weaved a punch Denji with a lazy look and caught a follow up.Twisting his wrist he tossed Denji over his shoulder and slammed him on the floor."You're not a very fit guy are you?" the soul said in boredom.In a surprising move Denji kicked his leg out and tripped the man up and tried to headbutt him but the guy vanished."Well aren't you tenacious" and looking around Denji saw the man standing on one of the pillars.
"Props to you" he said, clapping. "Not many people would try to fight me up close or at all. .is it bravery or ignorance?" the man asked.Denji tilted his head and put the pieces together "So you must be that Namikaze guy?" the teen said and the man nodded, vanishing and reappearing in his chair."Naruto Namikaze and welcome to my heart" he said and a rubik cube appeared in hand.Remember what the Aki guy said Denji couldn't help but ask "Wait I thought your heart was in Pochita" Denji asked and Naruto sighed.
"It was. .until you met Pochita" Naruto said and Denji tilted his head in confusion "Binding vows are considered by all jujutsu users to be one of the essential tenets of jujutsu sorcery. Binding Vows are basically contracts created through cursed energy that an individual can make with one's self or another person.The act of abiding by the rules and restrictions agreed upon in these contracts can result in a greater power or the temporary achievement of a goal" Naruto explained "breaking a binding vow tends to have crazy repercussions".Naruto pointed to Denji heart "When you met Pochita you made an binding vow with Pochita that didn't take effect until the accident with your parents." He explained "Apparently one of the terms involved giving my heart to you when you're in fatal trouble".
"So I as a kid made a super duper promise with Pochita. .that i don't remember. . and it gave your heart to me" Denji reiterated "Then. .what exactly did I promise Pochita?" he asked and Naruto shrugged "I don't know. .thats between you and Pochita"the older blonde said.Denji frowned in thought and Naruto stood up and walked up to him "So do you want to make a binding vow?" Naruto said and Denji raised an eyebrow.
"Face it Denji. .your not strong enough for the jujutsu world. .you have curse energy but it is minimal at best" Naruto said "I can fix this and give you the strength needed. . but in trade i need to borrow your body" the older blond and Denji got defensive."What the hell you mean I'm plenty strong enough! And like hell I'll let you wander in my body" Denji said and Naruto pinched the bridge of his nose."God he reminds me of a younger me. . was i really that obnoxious" Naruto said silently apologizing to every teacher of his."Look let's make it a bet. .you land one hit on me in 5 mins and I'll back down. . .if i take you downthen you will abide by this binding vow" Naruto said and Denji eyes narrowed "Okay then" he said.
"Abide by this Fujimoto Denji. . i will grant you greater strength. .and in trade if you come within 100 meters of Ryomen Sukuna presence i get full and unmonitored control of your body until his presence leaves. .you will not remember my half of this binding contract and this contract will not take effect until i beat you within 5 mins" Naruto said holding out his hands flaring with curse energy. Denji took a deep breath and shook it and then backed up taking a rudimentary MMA stance.
"Imaginary Technique" Naruto thought as Denji charged him "Gold"
Denji leaped up in the bed, a burning phantom sensation running over his body."Damn it" Denji thought, clutching his sweaty palm "He led me on. .i didn't even have a chance".Hearing the door open he saw Aki standing at the door and tossed him some clothes."Get dressed in these clothes" Aki said before closing the door. Denji got up looking around the bare room and the caught sight of himself in the mirror.He body has gain a sleeper build and felt lighter than normal.Most to his confusion and shock he saw a chainsaw cord.Resisting the urge to pull it he put on a white button and a black tie and black pants with same color shoes and ditching the blazer he walked out and saw a busy office place.
"Come. .Miss Makima wants to speak to you" Aki said and Denji looked around confused."So where exactly am I" Denji said."This is the SFHN home base in Japan" Aki said "The Sorcerer For Hire Network was founded to help Sorcerers who didn't want to align with a Jujutsu Academy" Aki said and Denji nodded kinda getting that vibe.They arrived at a room and open the door and Denji eyes widen seeing a beautiful redhead woman with her her hair in a ponytail.Dressed in what seem to be the standard uniform she seem to be on the phone with someone.
"Hmm something came up can you call me back Mei Mei" Makima said before hanging up the phone."Well welcome to the SFHN Denji-kun" Makima said and scurrying from on her side of the desk Denji saw Pochita."Hey buddy" Denji smiled picking the chainsaw pup who barked in happiness.Remembering where is he coughed and held the dog like shikigami in his arm."Oh uh. . hi" Denji said and Aki facepalmed and Makima just chuckled a little."You know. . for one of the most important person in the world your just so kawaii" Makima said getting Denji to blush then blink "Important?".Makima's eyes flashed in slight annoyance not that Aki or Denji noticed and she said "Ignorance doesn't suit you Denji-kun".
"You see you are connected to the remnants of the most powerful and connected sorcerer in history Denji-kun" Makima said "Lord Naruto fathered the basic principles of modern jujutsu society" Makima explained picking up a globe "3 of his 4 children would go on to found great jujutsu clans and his techniques would pass down to them and from there evolve it into great techniques in their own rights" Makima said "The Gojo clan,The Zenin Clan,And the Kamo clan" She said."What about the fourth child" Denji as and Makima turned to face the window. "The fourth child a daughter. .died young" she said before looking back towards them.
"But that's not important. .what is important is that you live. .so that is why Aki here will take you under his wing" Makima said surprising Aki."But ma'am i prefer to work alone. .maybe with Himeko and Power if I must but. . " Aki words died in his mouth as Makima stared into his soul.Her golden eyes gleamed and he felt like the world fell on his shoulder."Your the most experienced in your age group. .so you're the best for the job" Makima said and the threat didn't pass over his head."Yes Miss Makima" Aki said with a short bow.
"Well I have a job for you two. .don't worry it's an easy one" Makima said, tossing Aki a folder."A cursed spirit has been tracked to a hotel in Kind-do" Makima said "The hotel has been evacuated under the premise of a unhinged resident. .get in and get out" Makima said sitting down and picking the phone up "Oh and uh Aki. .lend Denji a lvl 3 curse tool" Makima said before redialing Mei Mei.
Aki nodded and grabbed Denji and dragged him outside
"Oh man this place is creepy" Denji said
What would normally be a homely place is unnerving as malignant curse energy flowed from the place. Handing Denji a wooden staff, Aki walked through the front door.Following him in Denji saw a mostly red lobby that was desolate except for the abandoned luggage."Okay listen up cause i'm only gonna say this once" Aki said "There are 5 grades for both Jujutsu Sorcerors. .There's Grade 4-1 and Special Grades" Aki said "When it comes to Sorcerers first 4 Grades are expected to fight on 1 level above them and Special Grades like Miss Makima are expected to be on equal grounds with a normal humans nation military" Aki said surprising Denji greatly.Is Miss Makima strong enough to take on a nation on her on?
"Curses are different. .ranks depend on their skillset. .a curse with any cursed technique is Semi-grade 1 while a sorcerer with a cursed technique can vary based on that cursed technique" Aki said "Any curse with a powerful cursed technique and has notable power is considered special grade curses" the topknot man said as they went into a elevator."Then there is Supreme Grade " Aki said getting a raised eyebrow from Denji who asked "What Supreme Grades?".
"Supreme Grade is a unofficial title for Special Grade Sorcerers who are an anomaly even amongst their peers" Aki said "Only three Sorcerers could ever claim such a title. . of courses there's Namikaze Naruto the strongest sorcerer in history" Aki said imagining Naruto glowing golden eyes. "Then there's Satoru Gojo the strongest sorcerer of today" he then imagines a white hair man with a black blindfold."Finally there's Ryomen Sukuna the King of Curses and the Sorcerer's Kings only rival" Aki said ending it with just the silhouette of Sukuna in mind.
"Those guys sound thought" Denji said and Aki nodded as they arrived at the 14th floor.Drawing his nail sword Aki began walking the halls of of the hotel as Denji held up the staff.A chill went up Denji spine and he spun and slammed the staff into a tengu like curse.Screeching the curse then slapped Denji through a room wall.Aki twisted on his heel and pointed his nail blade at the tengu an bursted a hole through its shoulder taking out a wing.It screeched louder than before conjuring a soundwave knocking him back.
"Does it have a sound based technique?" Aki thought and the tengu healed it's wound and a grew second pair of wings. "annoying son of a-" Aki was cut off as Denji leaped out and slammed the staff into the tengu curse this time blasting it through some walls. "Okay. . That definitely wasn't normal" Denji said, feeling a weird drain and Aki smirked.
"Cursed Tool Twice Critical. .Every second blow drains curse energy for a blow twice as strong as the first" Aki said "More effective depending on how strong the first strike was" The sorcerors said until a overpowering curse energy emerged."Ain't no damn way" Aki said as the two was then blasted by a soundwave destroying rooms and walls."Miss Makima really neglected to tell us that a Sukuna finger was here?" Aki said thinking in the end looking at the now stronger tengu."Denji we need to fall back. . maybe call in Power" Aki shouted."Bless me sly demon of trickery and misdirection" Aki chanted "Cursed Domain Summoning:Fox Hunt" Aki called making a fox shadow puppet hand sign.Outside the hotel a large fox shikigami bursted through and bit down on the tengu.a crow watched as on top the shikigami was Aki with an aura of curse energy.
"It seems Aki is in Hunting phase now" Makima thought "Per obligated of the binding vow with the fox shikigami Aki cannot use any curse energy or technique offensively until Okku is summoned" Makima smirked "In trade once summoned Aki gets a massive boost in his curse technique potency and curse energy output while Okku is unleashed" Makima thought smirking "During this. . . Aki has the most potent curse technique of his peers in the First Grade".
Bursting out from Okku jaws the finger bearer made to shout out but a gunshot rang out and the Tengu right half was blown off."My cursed technique Sniper Hand allows me to to turn my body parts into guns" Aki explain the hole in his finger smoking "Not particularly strong on its own but paired up with hunting phase makes it particularly deadly" he said and fired again blowing the tengu's body up but the remains turned to smoke."What? It's not the real one? That means. . " Aki thought in shock before hearing shatter glass and seeing Denji fly out the building.
~Earlier
Denji watched as Aki summoned a monstrous fox creature and took the fight outside the building."Uh what do i do" Denji said out loud and suddenly his right eye glowed gold."Denji behind you" a voice said and Denji turned to block a punch from the tengu shooting him through a wall."Aggh goddamn it" Denji thought in pain but surprisingly nothing broken."Focus up Denji" the voice said and Denji rolled out the way of a curb stomp."Is that you Naruto" Denji said "If so can you just take over and kill the damn thing" he said ducking a scream attack."It's not that simple. .your body isn't suited to handle my power" Naruto said as Denji jumped down a flight of stairs as he ran."If i take over now your body will take severe backlash" Naruto said as Denji clench his teeth.Taking Twice Critical out and pivoting her slammed it into the curse eyes full force.
"Then what the hell can I do!" Denji thought before the curse retaliated by knocking Denji across the floor.
Denji huffed and charged the curse as it raised both its hands and the blond smirked."HEY CURSE! NUTS OR NOTHING!" Denji yelled before kicking the curse full force where the nuts where its nuts would be.The curse stopped, giving Denji room to slam it with Twice Critical again doing the necessary double damage to send it rolling.
The curse rose healing itself and Denji gave a sheepish grin."Well. .that sucks" Denji said as the curse blasted him with a sound wave sending him out the window. Denji slowly fell to his doom and Naruto made to take over despite the risks but the new sorcerer landed on soft fur."Huh Aki?" Denji said seeing the sorcerer. "You should really stay safe Fujimoto-san" Aki said as the Okku desummoned before pointing his hands at the Tengu."Scatter Shots!" he said as all his fingers fired bullets and slammed into the curses."Man. .you really dealt with him huh Aki" Denji said and the sorcerer huffed. "Stay sharp cause here it comes" Aki said as the curse got up and stretched its wings.
"Well let's put this to the test" Denji said tearing his shirt opened and pulling the cord stuck in his chest.Red curse energy bursted from Denji body as well as golden chains linking togethor.
Flashback
A 12 yr old Sukuna took a stroll through the forest while Naruto resort to jump through trees."Can you not try to stand out dobe" the pink hair sorceror said "We're on a mission after all" Sukuna said and Naruto looked to his rival with a smirk."Aw come on Sukuna do you really think a curse could defeat the Prodigy Sorcerer and the Sorcerer King?" Naruto asked rhetorically and Sukuna shook his head."You are annoying?" Sukuna said as Naruto perked up feeling a presence.
Leaping away Naruto dodged an attack from a strange chainsaw creature (Hero of. Hell Chainsaw Man)."What the?" Naruto said before ducking a swipe from the curses bladed arm."Tag" Naruto said and Sukuna hopped up and kicked the curse in the face.Hopping off the curse as the curse tried to retaliate he swiped and cut it across the chest with Cleave causing it to reel. Cutting it two more times causing it to roar Sukuna smirked and said "Switch".he said as Naruto hopped in the fight.The curse rushed Sukuna only to get slammed by a spiraling sphere by Naruto."Cursed Technique:Rasengan!" Naruto yelled out before leaping back and creating a large stone to slams down on the curse.
"Geez save some for me Naruto" Sukuna said just as the stone was cut in half and lifted by the chainsaw curse."Then switch" Naruto said and Sukuna slid in as the curse tossed the boulders.With two quick Dismantles the stones were destroyed and Sukuna leaped into a close combat exchange with the curse.It swiped at him two times but Sukuna ducked and parried the wild blows before punching it in the exposed organs.Following up with a chin shot and a backhand Sukuna sent it flying back.The curse leaped back up and got a boot in the face by Naruto for its trouble.It swings it's head and cuts off Naruto's foot off."Man I can't believe you let him get you" Sukuna laughed as Naruto used RCT to heal it."Yeah yeah fuck off" Naruto said and used his CT to form earth spears that the curse deflected and got a Rasengan.
The curse slid across the field and swiped its hands summoning chainsaws from the earth."Since when" the two boys yelled hopping up to dodge it."Alright screw tag let's kill it" Sukuna barked out and Naruto nodded."Cursed Technique Reversal: Creation Banishment" Naruto said and the saws on the floor were reduced to ash. Sukuna went in first going full speed and hitting the curse in the face.Naruto then followed up with a heel kick and then it caught a Cleave to the back by Sukuna.
The curse then stumbled and caught a Black Flash by Naruto.Sukuna moved in with a three stomach punches with the last one being a Black Flash.We have never seen a curse this durable before!" Sukuna yelled cut the floor with Dismantle and with the dust Naruto slid in and threw a Black Flash."Naruto was always one to get in the mood easy" Sukuna thought as he launched more Cleaves and Dismantles. The curse tried to retaliate by summoning chainsaws but Naruto CTR was perfect for weapon based CTs.So put in the corner by the two sorcerers it did the one thing it could do
Two more arms emerged from the curses back and it's chainsaw arms formed a square.Naruto and Sukuna eyes widened as a black dome surrounded them.The place shifted into a hellscape with bodies on the floor and sitting on a large pile of bodies was the curse."Okay gotta admit. . . this domain is fire" Naruto said and the dead bodies began shifting and standing up."Uhh Sukuna" Naruto said and then both boys were surrounded by a army.
"So this is the sure hit technique. . ." Sukuna said and the boys were forced to fight of a seemingly endless army.Naruto using Rasengans and even a Black Flash or two and Sukuna throwing out Dismantle galore (Cleave didn't work as dead people don't have curse energy who knew). "We. Need. A.Idea" Naruto shouted out as while he basically bottomless stamina he didn't have endless curse energy.Sukuna gritted his teeth as the curse just watched."Watch my back for a second. .I got an ideas" Sukuna said and Naruto nodded taking on more of them.
Sukuna took a deep breath and weaved a handsigns."Domain Expansion" Sukuna called out as Sukuna formed a basic version of a domain.It was opened just enough to overcome The Chainsaw curse domain and even land a few attacks on the curse itself.As the domains fell they say the curse standing just away bleeding with purple blood missing an arm."Sukuna!" Naruto yelled and the prodigy sent out a max Cleave which severed it's other two arms.Naruto then ran up conjuring an spiraling sphere.
"Maximum:RasenShuriken!" Naruto yelled out and the sphere morphed into a shuriken.The curse energy inside shaped into tiny needles penetrating each cell of the curse.When the technique ended the curse was little but chunks of purple flesh.
"Nice job Ruto" Sukuna said and the King of Sorcerers shrugged."So you managed to tap into your domain" Naruto said and the pink hair sorcerer nodded.Looking down he saw Naruto pick up the chunk of flesh. "What are you-" he was cut off as gold energy was emitting from his hands. When it done in his hands was a small puppy with a chainsaw in its hands.
"What was that for?" Sukuna asked and Naruto smiled."He was strong. .so it's best to keep his presence around then have it go to waste" the blond said."I'm gonna call you. . . Pochita!" Naruto said and the small chainpup barked.Sukuna sighed pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Your a idiot Namikaze Naruto"
When the curse energy died down Aki eyes widened seeing Denji now with a monster chainsaw head and two of the blades sticking out his arms.The curse tool pause from the curse energy emitting from the human/curse hybrid.
"Now the playing field is even" Denji roared out.
