CHAPTER 4: THE DECISION...
SUMMARY:
"He was my dad, Kensi and I shot him." Marty whispered. This takes place after the series finale. Deeks has a nightmare about the past. Why now and how will it affect the present?
They dropped Dominic off for Kensi's mom to baby sit and then headed to work.
INSIDE KENSI'S SRX..
"Marty, please talk to someone." Kensi said after they dropped off Dominic.
"How can I talk to someone? I-I'm still trying to figure out how to put it into words." Deeks told her. "Then write it down or something, but until this is figured out...we can't go in the field together." Kensi informed him.
"Who do you want me to talk to? Nate or Hetty? Who do you know that has shot their own father?" Deeks asked. "I don't know anyone." Kensi confessed.
"Exactly, so what do I say? Hi, I'm Marty Deeks and I shot my own father?" Deeks asked.
"Then talk to me, Marty or try to write it down. You told me what happened, but you can't keep it locked up or it puts both of us at risk in the field together. It puts Dom at risk of losing both of us." Kensi said.
THE BULLPEN...
"I know, Kens." Deeks said as they walked into the bullpen. "Know what, Deeks?" Sam asked.
"I know a lot of things, Sam." Deeks tried to joke, but the smile did not reach his eyes.
"Yeah, but you two were just talking about something." Callen stated. "That is between Kensi and I." Deeks told Callen.
"Is it something that could affect the team?" Sam asked and Deeks hesitated.
"I'm going to go work out for a bit." Deeks said at last before heading to the gym. "What was that about?" Callen asked and Sam shrugged.
DEEKS...
IN THE GYM...
Deeks had changed and was hitting the punching bag with everything he had, trying to find words to tell his story.
"Mr. Deeks." Hetty said from behind him and Deeks jumped. "H-Hetty, you scared me." Deeks said as he turned to face her.
"That was not my intention. I noticed however that you seem to have something on your mind." Hetty said and Deeks again hesitated, before he finally came to a decision...
