The bad weather had passed a few days ago. As I listened to the birds singing to the rising sun I suddenly realized I'd never introduced myself to Kami and Mr. Popo. I doubt they expect me to. Do they even know I exist? But I felt so weird knowing I hadn't met them that I decided I needed to.

"Does Kami have a favorite water," I asked Piccolo as I ate my breakfast, "Oh, does Mr. Popo eat food?"

He didn't answer me at first, just stared at me confused as hell, "Why?"

"I haven't introduced myself to them and I wanted to bring them something as a sorry for not doing so sooner."

"Why do you think I would know any of that?"

"I dunno, I just thought I'd ask. You and Kami used to be the same person."

"I have no memories that time."

"Oh yeah, I forgot. I wonder what I'll do then?" I didn't ask him specifically, more just mused aloud.

"Just don't bring them anything. They won't care. In fact, just someone visiting will mean more than whatever you bring."

I groaned, "Yeah, I guess you're right."

"When are you leaving?"

"Soon after I finish eating. Why, what's up?"

"Nothing. Just don't forget to train today. I know you haven't been taking your training seriously."

I stuck my tongue out at him and he gently pulled on my tongue. I jumped, putting my tongue back where it belonged in my mouth, bewildered. He laughed at me, ruffled my hair, and left to train.

Pulling my tongue felt so weirdly out of place. Did I do this by making him more comfortable with touch? Maybe he's just in a weird mood? Maybe I should ask him? Then I realized I can only bring it up once and I need to know if he's gonna keep doing it.

I tried to not think too hard about it as I finished eating and cleaned up. After doing a few more things I was ready to go. I spotted Piccolo meditating on a plateau by the house. I called out a goodbye, knowing he'd hear me, then I flew off to the Lookout.

Since I wasn't in any rush I took my time to enjoy the flight there, with music from my headphones of course. I flew over the farmer's land and waved, even though I knew he couldn't see me so high up. For a short while I flew with a flock of birds before we parted ways. I'm able to keep myself dry from water so a swam with a pod of dolphins, jumping out of the water like they do. Which is incredibly fun by the way.

Even when taking my time, flight is fast so I pulled up into the sky as I got close. I was going to say hello to Korin and Yajirobe on the way back. The Lookout appeared as I burst through a layer of clouds. I landed on the edge where the front was, by the ladder. Mr. Popo was watering the plants and I didn't see Kami, so I guessed he was inside.

"Hello Mr. Popo," I greeted, approaching him. He turned quickly to face me, surprised.

"O-oh, I didn't notice you arriving," he anxiously said. He was going to continue but we heard Kami's cane coming close.

"Ah, it's you," Kami mused, "You're the one that broke through Piccolo's heart."

A blush formed, "I dunno about that, I think Gohan did the hard work. But I wanted to introduce myself."

"You must be aware that we are two halves of the same person. But there was no need to introduce yourself because of that."

"Oh that's not why I wanted to introduce myself."

"Hm?"

"I don't think you know but I am directly connected to the Earth and work with them as their Warden. I wanted to let you know that Earth appreciates all the work you've done as Guardian. They see the toll it's taken on you and commends your hard and thankless work."

That took Kami off-guard and he took a second to answer, "That genuinely is the first time I've been thanked for being Guardian. I'm glad to know my work has not gone unnoticed."

"Of course not. You just can't hear their gratitude, even with Namekian hearing."

He chuckled warmly. I spent until around lunchtime chatting with Kami and Mr. Popo. I helped Mr. Popo with the plants and had a fun conversation about gardening. I showed them what I am able to do since I'm connected to Earth. Overall, just had a fun time.

"I need to get going before Piccolo gets grumpy that I'm not training again," I announced, walking towards the edge of the Lookout.

"We enjoyed your time. Maybe you can visit again," Kami asked.

"Of course! Maybe I can make it a regular part of my schedule."

"You don't need to visit that often."

"Once a month is pretty regular though right?"

"Once a month? I can't imagine we are that interesting."

"Everyone is. But if you don't want me visiting that of-"

"Once a month is fine!"

I warmly laughed and waved a goodbye to them before leaving. I quickly popped by Korin's and they were already aware of who I was. So I had just a quick chat before heading home to make lunch. Piccolo came in for water while I was eating my lunch.

"Are you ready to train after you eat," he sat next to me.

"Yes," I groaned at him.

"Why are you so against training?"

"I wouldn't say I'm against it. I'm an artist that draws pretty pictures, you're an artist that punches things. Just two different wants."

"Then why do you train?"

"It's not like I don't like it. I just don't like it as much as you. I wouldn't be training with you if I didn't enjoy it at some level."

"So I'm the reason you train?"

I thought about it, "Pretty much yeah. I've always had a small interest in fights, but learning martial arts cost money where I'm from. So, I filled my time with my other, honestly stronger, interests like drawing. Now it's mostly a reason to hang out with you. I genuinely enjoy training with you."

He wordlessly drank his water as I finished eating and cleaned up. I changed into my gi and found him still in his chair. I put my hand on his back, kinda worried.

"Hey. Are you okay," I quietly asked.

"How are you so open," he quickly turned and stared intently at me, startling me.

"I'm... not? There's lots of things you don't know about me. You only barely read my memories and there's things I probably won't tell you."

"Why?"

"They very rarely are related to what we are talking about so I'm not gonna bring something up that is totally random. It's not that I want to keep it a secret, but if it doesn't come up then I won't be thinking about saying it."

"What about now?"

"You wanna know something random about me?"

"You know almost everything about me. But I don't know much about your past."

"I guess that's fair," I thought for a second, leaning on his arm, "Oh, I guess this is actually a pretty big one. You know how there are males and females with humans?"

He looked curious and confused, "Yes?"

"Well apart from that not being the entire truth. I was actually born female. But living as a female never felt right and I learned that there were other people that didn't identify with the body and social expectations of the gender they were assigned as. Since most of us transition from that gender it called being transgender, or trans for short."

"That's a lot to take in," he wrapped his arm around me, "But how do you change your body? Your voice is also deep like a male's?"

"I take testosterone. It drops my voice and the way fat distributes changes as well so it changes my silhouette. Also, when I arrived here I asked Bulma to take me to a surgeon to get my titties removed. I still have female genitalia but that doesn't really bother me."

"But I thought you wanted to be male?"

"Meh. I mostly just don't want to be a girl. I'm more just non conforming than any one thing."

"Sounds like you," he got up so we could start training. "Hold on. You said you got your... titties?... removed after you got here. But you were flat chested when you got here."

"I was wearing a binder that flattens my chest and a shirt I specifically wore to hide my form. I had a senzu bean after the surgery so I actually don't have any scars. Also you can call them breasts if tit or titty is weird."

"How'd you get a senzu bean?"

I just shrugged at him, "Bulma."

He shook his head, exasperated, and we left the house for our training session. Even though I wasn't as dedicated to training as Piccolo, I would always train with him if he specifically requested it. I know he was also concerned about me getting rusty. Knowing how he is with Gohan slacking in the future, it really makes sense.

But that didn't mean I wasn't gonna have a good time when training with him. Since I can utilize ki in really interesting ways, training sometimes meant I'm helping Piccolo move ki. It also lets me experiment on whether or not these ideas actually work in combat.

While I may not be into combat, Piccolo is, and I do love experimenting. So I try to tailor things for his fighting style. It's almost like testing out skills in a video game.

Time also flies because in what felt like no time at all, the sun was setting. While I cooked dinner he took a shower. He gave the usual goodnight hug and I spent the rest of the evening in my studio.
