This was strange, Brom never came this way. At least that Eragon remembered, but he figured it was cause of, his hand, and the dragon. Which one? The one that bonded with him. He waited to see what would happen and soon even with a small argument Garrow was not liking what Brom was saying but finally sighed and nodded. Then Brom was walking into the field towards Eragon.
"So boy, we have much to talk about." He said as Brom motioned for Eragon to follow… Eragon was on a bit of a stop there. Namely cause he couldn't go, Could he? He was going to likely be off the farm for a while, and he was needed to help harvest since they were harvesting the barley to have for the winter, or sell it since they were doing well with all the meat he brought from his hunt… even if he didn't say that it was cause of a benefactor… his uncle and cousin would not believe him… Dragons? Only dragon left was the king's.
At least to the common knowledge, and even more was no eggs were in his possession.
Eragon being beckoned again stopped thinking this over and came over to Brom, Brom would love to meet the new dragon, but for now this worked. He made sure that Garrow and Roran were off working the field before he started. "So… this is not something that is to be taken lightly. I would love to meet your dragon, and any other secrets that need to stay hidden, but we must talk about this." He said. "Come to town and we can talk more then. For now. Keep your hand hidden, and make sure nothing is up." He said as that was the best he could offer. Sure this was sudden but Brom really couldn't come up with any answers or how the dragons came back. No eggs till now and now Eragon was a rider.
Brom had the idea to perhaps go meet Eragon's dragon, however Brom's talk with Garrow did damper that. Brom was trying to figure out how and where they would be safe to talk all about this… His house? Fat chance even with the window closed kids and some skylarks hung around his window to sneak a peak on the stories. He did have magic but he was trying to conceal himself. And at this point all the possible agents of Galbatorix were well gone…
Well there was this. 'Eragon, you can speak mind to mind yes?' Brom asked, he had not failed in keeping his skill with his mental strength up. Eragon nodded to this. 'Ye.s yes.' Eragon would answer tentatively, at least Brom wasn't as gravely as Fireband. But still it was a shock to talk with anyone with his mind. Since it wasn't as developed. Brom nodded. 'We have far to go. But I am sure we will have time while your dragon is growing up. You have to let me meet your dragon sometime.' Brom ended that. "Just take care Lad, and we will talk more later." Brom said. Brom felt the pangs of longing there, he had wished to claim himself as Eragon's father but was still afraid that he would endanger Eragon. Sure all but the king was dead. But at this point he was still on the scared side… Leaving Eragon as Brom would try and talk with Eragon at a distance since it was all that Brom could come up with… He had to train him up. He was a rider now and the hope of Alagaësia. Not even certain of what brought this chance forth.
Eragon scratched his head, But heard, 'We will stay in touch Eragon. We have much to train and do. Not a lot of time for it to happen in. Take care of your dragon in the mean time. I will come up with a way for us to set aside training time.'
Eragon could only nod to this. Eragon himself could only hustle and do his chores… Like helping harvesting the crops before the freezes set in really bad. Or helping with gathering eggs from the chickens… and lastly checkign the two cows they had and seeing if they had to be milked for the evening.
It was after that Eragon grabbed some sausages and rushed out into the forest hoping that the dragon was safe… He had not though to do something in th emorning more or less cause Fireband had taken care of the dragoness and even let him feed her for the morning.
But still there was that fear that she had gotten into trouble… the other factor he had not really told her to stay… More or less hoping that she would stay in the forest for her safety cause uncle was likely to ask that he kill her. At least Eragon was a bit smart in this matter.
Arriving in the clearing he looked around. "Ere… dragon?" He asked as he had not given her a name. Yes he knew it was a her thanks to Fireband.
When the fear was growing in his heart he was soon surprised as the dragoness landed on his head and chirped at him and gave some chitters at him like she was upset at him. "Hey… sorry. Its okay but you have to stay out here." He said to her as she snorted smoke at the answer… But maybe he was right. The world was dangerous and the larger of her kind had said as much. Best to just be safe then even if her instincts wanted to saty near her rider. She saw the sausages and squeaked excitedly at him before going into his arms where the food was and she started eating. He smiled as she ate… Well what was the other dragon up to?

Fireband snorted in his cave and coughed a bit. He had been busy after leaving the young dragoness and all… Ere… rather he had just went on a hunt to replinish the strength he used in helping the new rider. The Guardian spell was strange… But this was the dragon's chance in these lands to return and be florishing again. And Galbatorix couldn't spread honey lies to the dragon… He was cursed by dragon kind. In this world the curse of names was not inacted on the forsworn… rather the forsworn and Galbatorix was cursed with being the bane of dragons.
Just as the elves were before they were redeemed. The dragons had forgiven them when they started with the first Eragon. And now the forerunner to Fireband's appearance was the curse upon the king. Sure the curse had weakened over time cause the Forsworn died wither by their own causes of over use of magic. Or someone arranging their deaths in various ways… And even in a duel that left a scare in Gilead.
Fireband yawned and looked ot the eggs he was watching after… Feeling odd.. .a male dragon looking after eggs… Well he couldn't help it… he was given the order to protect them and the riders they connected to. And thus far there was no step in fate guiding the next step of the eggs. Fate would come soon, and the dragon would have to take the eggs with him when he left the valley. For now the blue dragon with a gold mane could rest and gather his strength. Surprisingly powerful at his age and size. By dragon age he was a new born as much as the recently hatched dragoness… But the spell needed him at 6 months of age,
He was only growing stronger as the days passed his static kindeled, and so was his flames. As for knowledge he had the ancestral knowledge like all other dragons. Maybe more since he was the hope of dragons born to foster a new age.

Rants, answers and other things.
-well the dragons… yes, by the way I have this set up… Thorn, and Firnen are alive and well in this version. Just as much as saphira is… However… Xsillar, If you want to Alagaësia change name Spyro and Cynder to fit, I would be happy to have them as part of this… However… they would be rider dragons not wild ones. I did show an idea of who it was in the last chapter that was getting each egg I think… Though as Eragon is a dunder head, He won't be able to say who gets what dragon till something happens to bring said eggs near their intended riders… As such, if Fireband and Brom only interact during the last bit of their time in Carvahall. Then we end up with them leaving with all four eggs. I have about four months to fill or skip before that happens. Considering other changes. I think that we have a way to get Eragon and Brom going at that point.
-Yes I linked the Elvish war to the dragon Guardian arrival… and yes the elvish Eragon had a Guardian dragon cause the Elves triggered the spell. As for Galbatorix and the Forsworn… Well I have to work with what I have. We still have a few places where eggs and eldinari are. However, they are well out of reach and the dragon eggs there are in stasis. A bit of a death and forget spell. And this causes the triggering to bring forth Fireband…
-Yes Fireband has more power than the normal dragon… However he has to age up to gain this power… Though it isn't as rediciously as one might imagine. But its still strong… He is stronger than his size and age would suggest… At 6 months he will be strong as up to double his age, and it is at this age he would start growing. Else he would be far bigger than saphira but this also gives him time to acclimatize to his body. Not to mention a year old dragon would be easier to see. So this helps him hide in the valley.
