During lunchtime at Palm Woods park, Logan felt upset that Kendall, James, and Carlos did not intervene when Jett verbally attacked him. As a result, he chose to eat alone rather than sit with them. Upon noticing his isolation, his friends approached him.

"Hey buddy, why are you sitting here by yourself?" Kendall inquired.

Logan expressed his frustration, "Why do you think?! You three remained silent while Jett insulted me in front of everyone. You did nothing to support me or put a stop to his behavior! What happened to our brotherhood rule of always having each other's backs?! I am the most vulnerable to Jett's teasing out of all of us! What kind of friends are you?" Logan stood up, disposed of his trash, and walked away to compose himself.

Camille observed the situation and followed Logan. "I saw what happened. Are you okay? Are you truly that angry with them?" she asked.

"Of course I am! They failed to assist me! What's the point of having close friends if they don't protect you from bullies? How can I trust them for anything?" Logan replied.

Camille offered an explanation, "Sometimes, people find it easier to be bystanders rather than intervene and defend the victim of bullying."

"I understand that, but Kendall, James, and Carlos should have acted. I've known them for years. They should have come to my aid," Logan insisted. "I appreciate what you did. And I'm grateful that Katie stood up to Jett and retrieved my science magazine by stomping on his foot."

Camille cautioned, "Logan, violence is not the solution to bullying."

"I'm not condoning it, but in that moment, it felt satisfying to see because no one else was taking action against Jett. I will talk to Katie about her actions. I know she shouldn't have stomped on his foot, but I am proud of her for standing up to Jett and protecting me," Logan concluded.
