After the school day ends, Logan dedicates himself to further researching the solar eclipse. He settles on his bed in the shared bedroom of Apartment 2J, where he and Kendall reside.

Kendall enters the room and takes a seat on his own bed. "Logan, I deeply apologize for James, Carlos, and myself not intervening earlier today at school when Jett was harassing you. We all wanted to, but when we saw you standing up for yourself, we thought you could handle him on your own."

"It was evident that I was struggling, as he refused to listen or back down. It took not only Camille, but also Katie, to put a stop to him. Katie even resorted to stomping on his foot. It shouldn't have been necessary for a ten-year-old to defeat him. At his age, he should understand that bullying is unacceptable. The fact that he takes pleasure in tormenting me is unsettling. You, James, and Carlos should have intervened immediately. I always defend you guys whenever Jett teases any of you. Why can't I receive the same support in return?" Logan expresses.

"You're absolutely right, Logan. We should not have been mere bystanders. We should have stood up for you. Please forgive us," Kendall admits.

Logan lets out a sigh. "I'm not ready to forgive just yet," he responds, redirecting his attention to his science magazine.

Kendall sighs as well and leaves the room.

During dinner, a quiet atmosphere envelops everyone. Ms. Knight, however, detects a certain tension and takes it upon herself to break the ice.

"So, how was school today? Miss Collins mentioned that there was a bit of trouble with Jett," she says.

"He's a complete jerk, a doofus, and a major pain in the butt!" Katie exclaims. "I taught him a lesson, while James, Kendall, and Carlos just stood there and did nothing to stop him from harassing Logan."

"Taught him a lesson? How exactly? Miss Collins suggested that I ask you what you did," Ms. Knight inquires.

"I stomped really hard on his foot, made him squeal like a baby, and he dropped Logan's science magazine," Katie proudly explains. "I was the hero."

"Oh my. I understand that you meant well, but physically hurting Jett is not the solution to end his bullying," Ms. Knight responds.

"Mom, why are you mad at me? At least I stepped in to help Logan. James, Kendall, and Carlos just watched as if they were enjoying their favorite TV show. They did nothing," Katie defends herself.

"I apologized to Logan, and on behalf of Carlos and James, I apologized for them too. However, Logan hasn't been ready to forgive us," Kendall interjects.

"I just want more support next time," Logan expresses. "It's also disheartening that none of you are interested in witnessing the solar eclipse. It's going to be amazing. I understand that science and math may not be your strong suits, but I'm genuinely excited about Monday. You should be grateful that Miss Collins is giving us a special assignment to observe it. It's better than being stuck in the classroom all day. You all should appreciate the privilege of witnessing this celestial phenomenon."

"We are happy that we'll be out of the classroom because it will happen after school ends. I love that for all of us, but we simply don't share the same level of passion for it as you do," Kendall explains.

"Please don't hate us for that, Logie," Carlos pleads.

"I don't hate any of you. I just want some respect for the math and science behind this event. You guys should too."

"Have you forgiven us yet?" James asks, his voice filled with anticipation.

Logan takes a deep breath before responding, "Yeah, I forgive you guys. But Katie, we need to talk about what you did to Jett."

Katie's face falls, feeling the weight of Logan's disappointment. "Gosh, you're mad at me too, just like my mom. I was only trying to help," she explains, her voice tinged with sadness.

Logan quickly reassures her, "I'm not mad at you, and your mom isn't either. Let's go talk in your room."

They clear their plates and make their way to Katie's room, finding solace on her bed.

Confusion fills Katie's eyes as she questions Logan, "If you're not mad at me, why do you want to talk about what I did to Jett? You thanked me. Aren't you proud of what I did?"

Logan nods, a proud smile on his face. "Yes, I am. Very proud."

Katie's brow furrows, her voice filled with frustration, "So you're proud of what I did, but you still want to reprimand me? You told me to stand up for others, to be a friend and not a bystander. You've always said, 'If you see something, say something.'"

Logan acknowledges her words, "That's right, I did give you that advice."

Katie continues, her voice filled with disappointment, "So as the older child, shouldn't you lead by example? It's confusing when you backtrack on the advice you gave me. I followed your words from the heart, but now I'm being lectured for doing exactly what you taught me."

Logan starts to respond, but catches himself before his frustration takes over. He places a hand on Katie's shoulder, trying to calm the situation. "I'm not misleading you. I'm trying to help you understand that physically attacking a bully will only lead to more trouble."

Katie's determination remains unwavering as she states, "I think Jett deserved it."

Logan sighs, his frustration evident as he rubs his temples. "Okay, maybe I need to find a different way to explain this to you. Can I borrow Giggles?"

Katie nods, handing him the stuffed monkey, ready to listen and understand.

"Hey, who do you think is Giggles' biggest enemy?" Logan asks.

"Oh, it's definitely King Slither. He's the ruler of the serpent kingdom and he commands an army called the Scaled Dragons. They've been in a never-ending war with the Primates since forever," Katie explains.

"Wow, that's quite the imagination you've got there. I guess Carlos has been rubbing off on you," Logan teases. "But hey, what if we wanted to help these two nations find peace? Would you still support the fighting, or would you try to find a common ground? Like, if Giggles was being attacked by King Slither, you'd want to stop it, right?"

"Absolutely," Katie agrees.

"So the solution would be to show them that they don't have to be enemies and that they can coexist peacefully, ruling their own nations?" Logan asks, hoping she understands his point.

"No, I don't think they have anything in common. War seems to be their only option. They should fight for what they believe in and defend themselves," Katie argues.

"That's not exactly what I meant," Logan clarifies.

"I'm sorry, Logan. I think I'm not getting your lesson. I understand that you want me to stand up to bullies and defeat them with kindness, right?" Katie tries to grasp his message.

"Yeah, that's it! You got it," Logan says, giving her a warm hug.

"I may not always understand your quirks, but they're one of my favorite things about you. I know how important it is for you to see the solar eclipse on Monday, so I'll try my best to be interested and make you happy," Katie promises.

"Thank you, Katie-Bear," Logan says, hugging her tightly once again.
