Chapter 10: Detective:
Detective Winton's POV:
When I was walking, I saw a suspicious looking character. I decided to follow him.
Scott's POV:
I was working on a wax face.
"A little more bitterness in that face, My Boy," says Prof. Jarrod, "remember, this fellow has been badly used by the world and he despises all the people in it. Deepen those lines around the corner of the mouth. But not too much. There, there, that's better. What I wouldn't give to have those fingers of yours."
"Thank you, Mr. Jarrod," I said.
"Sorry I kept you so late here, Scott," says Prof. Jarrod.
"Oh, that's alright," I said, "Mirabel's meeting me here. It's her birthday. We're going to celebrate at Chile's."
"Charming creature," says Prof. Jarrod.
"I was worried about her," I said, "the shock of that murdered girl gave her some strange ideas."
"Yes, I know," says Prof. Jarrod.
"I took her to see Det. Winton at Police Head Quarters," I said.
"That's very good now," says Prof. Jarrod, "excellent. Scott, before you go, would you mind running over to Mesker's for me?"
"Mesker's," I asked.
"The place where they make those artificial flowers," says Prof. Jarrod.
"Oh yes," I said.
"They're doing a background for this new group," says Prof. Jarrod, "take a look at it for me. Will you?"
"I know," I said, "I'd be glad to do it. I'll head there right now."
"Thank you very much."
Wilfred's POV:
"I saw Det. Winton following Leon," says Hollie.
"I hope he does better than we do," I said, " was at Leon's and I found this watch."
Hollie looks at it. "This was my neighbor's watch!"
"We have to find Jarrod," I said.
To Be Continued
In the next chapter, Prof. Jarrod is determined to have his Marie Antoinette.
