I breathe out a sigh as I sit in the passenger side of my father's car driving to my new school. Unfortunately for me I had to be uprooted from my life in my old town of Lexington Missouri due to my mother dying and move to Forks Washington. My father hasn't been the same since, he constantly needed to be around me, even sold my car so I couldn't leave the house without him. My father said the move was because we couldn't afford our old home but honestly I think he just wanted to live in a smaller area so there weren't as many people to question his ways of raising me.
It's not all bad though, I won't be the only new person going to this towns high school, a girl named Isabella Swan is starting today as well, maybe I can make a new friend for once. I look down at my outfit and sigh again. Yeah that probably won't happen. I think to myself.
I like to express myself and the way I do that is by dressing in Gothic style, my father hates it of course but honestly I could give a rats ass about that. It'll be easier for him to hate me when I leave and never look back the day I turn 18. I'm brought out of my thoughts when the car is put in park and my father grumbles a "we're here."
I take one last look at my father and grab my bag, making a quick exit and head for the doors. When I get inside I look at the schedule I picked up at the beginning of the week, first period: Advanced Art Class. I smile to myself, the only thing I ever want to actually do is draw and paint. I love art with a passion. When I look up from my schedule I see the most peculiar looking people staring at me in a group. Three men and two women, one man is tall, burly, with short black hair, the other man looks boyish with copper messy hair, and the third man has curly honey colored hair. The women consist of a tall beautiful blond and a girl that looks more pixi like than human, with her short black hair that sticks perfectly to her face, angular features, and short.
I look away quickly in embarrassment and quickly walk to where I believe the art class is in this school. When I enter the door the teacher greets me. "Ah you must be Lily Foster! I have your seat ready with all of your supplies already, it's in the back row in the corner dear. Just have a seat and we will start after everyone arrives." I smile at the older woman. "Thank you Mrs. Jennings." I give a wave and go to sit in my chair and wait for class to start.
There's an easel and supplies next to mine and I can only wonder who will sit next to me. Only time will tell. I think to myself. While watching Everyone come in I see that there is one more person yet to come in. I'm just starting to think I'm sitting alone when the door opens the same time the bell rings and I look up to see none other than the man with the honey colored hair, and he's looking right at me.
