"yup! finally my dream is reality!" Lincoln said
"did you have to go with my gym though?" Lectron asked
"I told you to wait until after he becomes a gym leader To announce your retirement." Vox said "so that way he wouldn't take your gym."
"oh haha don't you have a talk show to do?" Lectron asked sarcastically
"yes it's a meeting with the new stow 'n' side gym leader." Vox said
"well played you crafty jackass." Lectron said "in all seriousness though I'm proud of you Lincoln."
"i know." Lincoln said "enjoy retirement dad!"
and with that he headed to coronation

Lincoln stood next to the new chair man of the league: rose
"you nervous?" Chairman rose asked
"yeah a little." Lincoln said "you?"
"yes actually." Chairman rose said "you will be the first new gym leader in my time as chairman."
"well glad to be here!" Lincoln said "I will do my best!"
After the coronation
"so dad have decided what to do for retirement?" Lincoln asked
"not sure actually." Lectron said "never thought I'd get this far."
"really?" Lincoln asked
"yeah I always thought I'd die doing something to protect stow 'n' side before I could retire." Lectron said "then you showed up and changed everything."
"well then I'm glad I appeared." Lincoln said "well I gotta go."
"have fun on your first day." Lectron said

Lincoln had faced mostly challengers there for the early badges
until...
"Hey new gym leader im gonna pound you into the dirt!"
An over confident challenger there for their 8th badge
"perfect..." Lincoln said
the next day
"what do you mean I'm banned from using entry hazards?!?" Lincoln asked
"well every single challenger there for their 8th badge lost to you... multiple times." Chairman rose said
"and it's not just that." The chairman's assistant said "your team for challengers looking for their 8th badge is almost unbeatable with entry hazards."
"you set up every single hazard except for ones caused by gigantamax Pokemon." Chairman Rose said "no one has beaten you and if you keep this up challengers are going to go to your gym before others to get it out of the way."
"fine I'll chill out a bit." Lincoln said
"and next about your outfit-" chairman rose began
"I'm not getting rid of the cowboy outfit." Lincoln said putting his hat on
"fair enough at least add your jersey number to it." Chairman rose said
"deal." Lincoln said

lincoln was bored while waiting for new challengers was rough especially for ones that wanted their eighth badge due to his reputation as the strongest gym leader
"I'm here for my gym battle!" A voice said
Lincoln looked and saw a young boy with purple hair
"finally." Lincoln said "how many badges you got?"
"7." The boy said
"someone's who's here for that eighth badge that's rare." Lincoln said "what's your name?"
"Leon laventon." The boy said
"oh hey I've heard of you you're that hot shot that the chairman took interest in with not a single loss in official gym battles." Lincoln said to which Leon nodded "I'll see you in the stadium."
"I'm gonna win!" Leon said
"kid when I'm done your record won't be perfect." Lincoln said before leaving
later
"Charizard g-max Wildfire!" Leon said
"sandaconda max rock fall!" Lincoln said
charizard despite it's impressive power couldn't break through the max rock fall and was knocked out
"I... how-" Leon began
"because you didn't have a true counter for garchomp causing you to lose team members and take too much damage before fighting sandaconda." Lincoln said "but you live up to your reputation so congrats on that."
the next day
Leon beat Lincoln the very next day
now Lincoln wasn't surprised the kid looked determined to win
but the amount of preparation he did was incredible
he added both a mr.rime and a dragapualt to his team to deal with garchomp
his charizard had a berry to reduce rock type damage and solar beam to deal with sandaconda
he definitely created an unbeatable champion...
..by just being really strong and annoying with sand
but he's glad that he won the first battle...
...to make sure the kid stays humble as champion
though the kid with a sand strategy of his own had absolutely no chance now because of him
he was an early challenger who's team was built for sandstorm
he might of accidentally set that kid up for failure now
(well you win some you lose some) Lincoln thought to himself as he left the building
later
Lincoln was walking home from the gym when he noticed a basket with a blanket on top at his front door
(a gift?) Lincoln thought to himself as he moved the blanket
he expected something like cheese berries wine (lectron preferred whiskey but he'd take what he could get)
not a whole baby in the basket fast asleep
there was a very small black haired baby in a basket in front of his house with no parent in sight
"...I'm getting a sense of Deja vu right now." Lincoln said "is this how dad felt with me?"
he picked up the basket and took it inside and gave officer Jenny a call
soon she showed up at his door
" like father like son huh?" She said
"you're one to talk." Lincoln said
"fair enough." Officer Jenny said "let's get him checked out."
later
"please tell me it's not my scenario." Lincoln said
"nope the kid had parents but both are deceased." Officer Jenny said "apparently he was put in an orphanage that is now under investigation due to lots of violations but a gengar appeared and took him."
"you think it could be one of the parents Pokemon?" Lincoln asked
"possibly the mother was the youngest daughter of the former ghost type gym leader of stow 'n' side who retired and then your father took their place." Officer Jenny said
"so why didn't her siblings take him?" Lincoln asked
"because they're dead too." Officer Jenny said
"why I'm getting a bad feeling about this?" Lincoln asked
"there are a group of people who despise ghost type trainers here to the point of murder. we've been trying to round them up for years." Officer Jenny said "with them running around the kid is best safe in your care."
"does he have a name?" Lincoln asked
"allister." Officer Jenny said "we will keep you updated about the group."
"thanks" Lincoln said before taking allister and leaving
"it's just taking care of kid how hard can it be?" Lincoln asked himself
and that's a wrap
lincoln is currently 18 at the moment and is 6 years older than Leon in case you're having trouble keeping Up with the constant jumps in time
now as for the louds Lincoln was not only sent to a different dimension but to the past so no time has passed for them yet
once Lincoln turns 20 time will begin to pass for them so that's why we haven't seen them in a while
