"Now dear, please elaborate on the logistics of this plan of yours?" Alistor's radio tone, despite being monotonous, hinted at a feeling of amusement. The pair walked down a main street in Hell, sinners avoiding them – Alistor – as they went.

Some hours ago, the Radio Demon took very well being awoken during the early hours of the day, especially to find out the reason. As declared to Husk, this whole situation was an entertaining development.

Vaggie sighed. Even she had to admit her plan might be a little farfetched but it was the only one she had.

"You trapped and murdered multiple Overlords way back. You must have had to of found them at the right time to do this. So, use that old, serial killing vibe you got going and do the same with Old Misty. If we find him, we find Charlie's memories."

"And what do you wish to do with these memories when we don't even have our beloved hotel owner to return them to? Pray, don't tell me you hope her memories have a honing beacon on them that will magically lead you to her?"

Vaggie's jaw clenched as she tried not to take a swing at his face; he was enjoying every second of this and she did her best not to rip off his deer ears. She wondered if that would finalyl wipe that smile off his face…

"There are two parts to this whole situation. One is finding Charlie and the other finding her memories - said memories most likely being in the possession of Old Misty. Both need to be found if we're to bring the two together again."

"Divide and conquer," the demon smiled. "I just find it interesting you've paired us together for finding Charlie's memories and left actually finding your little girlfriend to those three morons."

Vaggie signed. "Four," she corrected him through her teeth.

"Oh yes, I forget we've let Nifty dear leave the hotel."

The duo came to a stop by a small opening to a park. Least, it resembled the concept of a park, but there was no green grass and the fountain in the middle was dried up and had mould growing over it. A handful of sinners laid by the disgusting excuse for a fountain, most unblinking.

"Interesting," Alistor murmured before he began doing slow laps of the fountain, leaving Vaggie to watch unimpressed.

"Alistor, how is you doing laps like a dog trying to choose its best place to shit, helping here?"

"We my dear, are checking out his old hunting grounds. You are right, I did my best back in the day to eradicating some of Hell's best Overlords – at one stage I did try to bump off Old Misty himself."

"With little luck I'm guessing?"

"Trust me dear, I am going to have better luck this time."

"Can someone please explain to me what the plan is?" Sir Pentious hissed as the three other sinners of the hotel walked through the streets of hell.

"Well," Angel spoke through bites of a bagel. "We've got our snacks and coffee – or whiskey with a dash of caffeine in some feline's case." He shot a glance at Husk who was filling his damn cup to the brim from a hip flask. The winged-cat was still reeling from having to wake Alistor and put up with his glee.

"Yes, I am grateful for this delicious hot beverage, but I mean the plan to find Miss Charlotte," the anxious snake continued.

"Who?"

"Charlie, you fuckin' idiot," Husk snapped.

"Wait, her name is Charlotte?"

"Yay bean juice," Nifty snarled as she began to vibrate from the added energy. The smallest of the group begun to giggle and jump violently on the spot.

"Oh yah great. Damnit, did I not say, to not buy her one?" The eldest sinner glared at the other two. Angel scoffed with a dramatic roll of his eyes; he leaned down to Nifty's height.

"Put all that energy to good use you little psycho; go find Charlie -" Angel didn't even get to finish his sentence. Like the flashes of lightening they witnessed in the sky last night, Nifty was gone, running away in fits of manic laugher, sinners leaping out of her way as she went.

The four stared off in the direction she ran in.

"Well, that ain't good."

With each step Vaggie took she felt herself one step closer to losing her Goddamned mind.

She and Alistor had spent close to three hours walking the streets of hell with the man himself occasionally walking up to desecrated monuments and doing laps of them, before walking off again. And again.

Was this really what he had done back long before when he murdered all those Overlords? Walking in damn circles?

"Alistor, if this is how you stalked and killed all those Overlords, I want it put on recorded that this serial killer stuff is lame," she grumbled with a cross of her arms. The demon made a static 'hhhmm' and then proceeded to ignore her a little while longer.

They continued and not before long Vaggie realised where they were. They were walking back to the hotel. Vaggie could hear Charlie in her mind begging her to trust Alistor's abilities, but when she saw the Hazbin Hotel sign, she was very ready to lose her shit.

"Alistor! Will you explain what we've have been doing for three hours, for us to end up back at the hotel?!"

The Radio Demon screeched to a halt. His head begun to creek round towards her and then his body sharply twisted with him.

"You do realise," he murmured with a hint of static. "That stalking someone – especially someone who does not want to be found – is not a glamorous job. Actually, its rather tedious."

"I don't have time for this to be tedious!" The background static begun to grow louder.

"Fine," Alistor growled. "We've learnt today that Charlie is not the only person in hell with no memories."

"Huh?"

"You don't pay attention much do you? Everywhere we went there were sinners lounging around and none seemed remotely terrified of me… and before you interject with some comments designed to hurt my ego – that would obviously not succeed in doing so – if you paid enough attention, you'd realise there definitely were sinner who tried to get away from me."

Vaggie took the words in and thought back. It had been and oddly easy walk around town today. They hadn't had to mauver through crowds, deal with beggars or thieves or flashers. Dare she say, her walk with Alistor was – despite his annoying self – a rather peaceful walk.

"So those sinners, they couldn't remember that they were meant to be fearful of you?"

"Precisely!" he gleamed, leaning over to pat her patronisingly on the head.

"And how does this help us find him."

"Oh, I wouldn't worry about that," his smiled changed. Mischievous. Alistor had intentions of his own that were forming, and Vaggie didn't need to worry about them. "Really leave it to me. I'd be far more concerned about the idiots you left in charge of finding dear Charlie… Or are you avoiding hearing her said how disgusting she finds you?"
