"Your anger... You can get lost in it, the path ahead is difficult."
Inside a wooden hut cabin, two certain individuals could be seen inside said small wooden home, having a conversation as Father and Son, the Father being a muscular older snow white man with red markings, a beard and a very stoic expression, and as for the Son, he was just a young simple boy, with a bow and arrow, and had a expression of child wonder and confusion.
"I know Father..."
The Son, who is known as Atreus, softly accepts his Father's reasoning, though said Father, known as Kratos, holds him close, trying his best to comfort him.
"Not yet you do, but when you do finally know how to control yourself, then you will be ready."
Before the bonding of Father and Son could continue, their entire home suddenly shook, as something heavy landed outside, which definitely caught both attention, and even made Kratos stand up straight and defensively.
"What was that?"
Atreus was confused and worried on what was happening, he was even about to pull out his bow and get ready to defend himself, though was promptly stopped by his Father.
"I don't know..."
Kratos whispers back, and waited, hoping that whatever was here don't realize that they weren't in here, wanting to avoid conflict if possible.
"GET OUT HERE!!!"
Unfortunately that was wishful thinking, as whatever was outside already knew they were inside, which made the Father act quickly, opening a trap door hidden under a rug.
"Under here Boy."
When Kratos said this, his Son couldn't help but hesitate, both because he was about to enter a place he was usually not allowed to go to, and because he would be leaving his Father alone, however with little choice in the matter, he did as he was told, hoping in and let his Dad close the door, once the Boy was safe, the older man walked away from the trap door and opened the one in front instead.
'A dragon?'
Though much to Kratos unexpected surprise, the one who stood outside of his home, was a large green dragon, who glared at him with their red orange eyes.
"What business do you have here?"
Though Kratos didn't question what was here, and instead wanted to know why it was here.
"ARE YOU THE ALMIGHTY GOD OF WAR, KRATOS?!!!"
The dragon spoke in a surprising female voice, unsure if through telepathic or using her own mouth, but what she asked was already enough to make the one known as the God of War frown deeply.
"Yes."
Kratos clenched his fist tightly, as if already assuming what the dragon was after, but he said or did nothing, not wanting to act out just yet.
"I AM TOHRU! THE STRONGEST DRAGON OF THE CHAOS FACTION!!!"
The dragon has then begun to introduce herself as the one known as Tohru.
"AND I HEREBY CHALLENGE YOU! TO PROVE MY STRENGTH AND CLAIM THE TITLE AS THE MOST POWERFUL CREATURE OF ALL THE NINE REALM!!!"
Not only that, but Tohru has finally revealed the truth and reasoning for why she is here, which only made the Ghost of Sparta glare more harshly.
"If it's just the title you want, then you can have it."
Kratos sighs, as he fully walks out of his home and closes the door behind himself.
"But if you wish to continue, then all you will receive is death."
Kratos gave his last warning to the dragon, as he prepared himself for a fight of a lifetime.
"IT WOULDN'T BE THE FIRST TIME I HEARD THOSE WORDS!!!"
Tohru then took a deep breath and started to charge up a very powerful fire blast, which definitely made the Spartan Warrior tense up.
"AND IT WILL MOST CERTAINLY NOT BE THE LAST!!!"
But before Tohru could fire her blast, the God of War wasted no time jumping forward and grabbed the head of the dragon, forcing her to look up and shoot out her powerful fire up in the sky, which definitely pushed back the clouds and lit up the night.
"Remember, you wanted this."
Kratos growls, no doubt unhappy about all of this, which just made the dragon chuckle and smirk in response.
"And I don't regret my choices~..."
Tohru then grabbed onto Kratos with her big maw and threw him up high in the air, which she then followed after him, planning to ram him with her horned head, though such a plan of attack was interrupted by the Ghost of Sparta pulling back his fist and delivering a punch with enough force to send the dragon crashing back to ground, making a large crater and knocked away multiple trees in the process, this attack definitely put the dragon in a slight daze, but was able to recover quickly enough to move out of the way from the Spartan Warrior crashing into her with his shield, though since he did landed on his shield, he remained unharmed from the fall and was able to get back up to feet and charge towards the large reptilian beast without missing a beat, she roars in response and tried to crush him with her big green claw, which he deflects with his shield, this knocked her off balance a bit and left her open, which the God of War took full advantage of, jumping towards her again and send a barrage of quick yet very lethal punches all aimed at her face, even knocking out one of her tooth in the process, which made the Chaos lizard growls loudly as she then flaps her wings with enough force to push her attacker back and crashed into a nearby tree, though she didn't stop there as she swings her large tail and smacks him with it, sending him flying and crashing into multiple more trees before stopping when he hits a mountain.
"IS THIS REALLY FULL MIGHT OF THE GOD OF WAR?!!!"
As the Ghost of Sparta picked himself up, Tohru had already caught up to him and was now standing a few feet away from him.
"Pathetic..."
Once Tohru finished taunting the Spartan Warrior, she took another deep breath and shot another beam of fire at him, which he blocked with his shield, though he quickly realized that it wouldn't last long before it completely melted.
"Hm..."
Kratos grumbles as he then reaches out his free hand for something, which the dragon noticed and looked confused about, before tensing up and quickly ducking just in time to save her head, but have one of her horns get cut by a flying spinning blade, which landed into the God of War hand and revealed itself to be a axe of some kind, specifically the 'Leviathan Axe'.
"YOU BASTARD! YOU WILL PAY FOR SUCH HUMILIATION!!!"
Tohru roars angrily at the Ghost of Sparta and was about to shoot out another blast of fire, but was interrupted when he suddenly threw the Leviathan Axe at her mouth, hitting the fireball that was forming and both put it out and froze her entire open maw shut, this was definitely made her go wide eyes in shock and surprise, which again the Spartan Warrior took advantage of, running towards her and grabbed the handle of his weapon that was still attached to the frozen mouth, then with his immense strength, he lifted up the reptilian beast and then promptly slammed her back to the ground, breaking both the ground and the ice that was attached to the Chaos Lizard, once the weapon was free, the God of War lifted up the Leviathan Axe again and brought it back down, hoping to cut off the head of his opponent, but was instead deflected by the claws of a Dragon, which then make him stumble back a bit but was able to regain his balance.
"YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH SHARP WEAPONS!!!"
Tohru, after a quick second to recover, stood up tall and brandish her two sharp claws at the Ghost of Sparta, who just grunts in response, before swinging his Leviathan Axe at her, which made her swings her own claws at him, the clash between the metal blade and sharp talons both sends sparks and shockwaves from the power behind the wielders, but it didn't stop there as the two continue swinging their powerful weapons at each other, each swings breaks the ground underneath more, each clash knocks down more trees nearby, and each time their attacks met, their colossal power could be felt not only all around the world, but across all of the nine realms as well, clearly a fight two almighty titans, and it seemed like it would last for quite a long time, that was, until the Spartan Warrior change his tactics, as when the reptilian beast swipe her claws again, instead of defending himself by using his weapon, he instead jumped over and onto her arms, quickly running up on the limb of the Chaos Lizard and then swinging his Leviathan Axe into her back.
"AHHHHH! WHY YOU LITTLE-!!!"
Tohru roars in rage as she then opened her black wings and took back to the sky again, which nearly made Kratos fall if it wasn't for the Leviathan Axe, though once he regained his footing, he stood back up to his feet and pulled out his weapon, bringing it up high and once again tried to cut off the head of the Dragon, unfortunately for him, she noticed him about to do such a thing, which made her respond to this by doing a mid air barrel roll, forcing him to both lose his footing and accidentally dropping his weapon, he tried to summon it back, but when the reptilian beast saw the spinning blade coming back, she only flew faster, preventing it from ever reaching it's master, not only that, but she also started flying very recklessly, purposely crashing into the trees, the ground, and even a nearby lake, making it very difficult for the God of War to keep focus on summoning his Leviathan Axe while also trying his best to not fall off, situation no doubt very dire.
"Hm... Fine..."
Kratos, once realizing that he was gonna need more than what he got, he couldn't help but sigh in annoyance and disappointment, he once again reached out his hand, but instead of summoning his Leviathan Axe, he instead called for a very large sword, which made the Chaos Lizard go wide eyes in disbelief.
"T-The Blade of Olympus?!"
Was all Tohru could utter out, before the Ghost of Sparta stabbed his "Blade of Olympus" into the body of the Dragon, which made her cry out in agony, which the pain didn't end there, as this resulted in her flying slower and allowing the Leviathan Axe to stab into her back, causing even more suffering and forcing her to crash back to the ground, after landing hard enough to make another crater, the Spartan Warrior has finally fallen off the body of the reptilian beast, luckily he was able to get the axe back in the process, though he was forced to leave his sword, which was still embedded in the body of his foe.
"This is my last and final warning, leave now and never come back."
Kratos, after having a moment to recover, stood back up to his feet and glared at the Chaos Lizard, as he gave her one last chance to leave, before he was forced to end the fight, permanently.
"Y-You haven't won yet!..."
Tohru, clearly very weak now, especially with the Blade of Olympus still stabbed into her body.
"I CAN STILL FIGHT!!!"
But despite that, not only was Tohru still able to stand back up on her own feet, but also start summoning four magic circles around herself, as flames began to be formed in her mouth again.
"... As you wish..."
Kratos could only shake his head in response, as he then clenches his Leviathan Axe, which made the blade glow bright blue, as if charging up something, without a single word, the fight has continued, as once both seemed to be done charging and powering up whatever attack they were preparing, both finally released it against each other, the God of War fired a beam of magical ice at the Dragon, while Tohru, with the help of her magic circle, shot off a stream of very hot fire at the Ghost of Sparta, the blasts of ice and fire clashed against each other, as a clash so great that it splits the ground underneath, as bits of fire and ice spills and splashes everywhere, either burning or freezing whether it touches, it was very clear that both were giving it their all in this final confrontation, trying their best to push back and over power one another, though it obviously came with some struggles, the reptilian beasts still suffering from her injuries, while the Spartan Warrior was very exhausted from this fight, but both refused to give up or back down, which means now this was a fight on who will be left standing, who would be the one to buckle under their feet first, and who would have the strongest will and determination to see this through, it was almost if nothing could stop them now, until one of them end up dead... Or when a crazy drunk woman decides to walk in the middle of the fight and not realize what was going on.
"WOOOOOOAH! WHAT PRETTY LIGHTS!!!~"
I was debating whether or not to do a Dragon Maid crossover with either Devil May Cry or God Of War, you can probably guess who was the winner lol, this takes place at the beginning of God Of War 4 and Dragon Maid season 1, though most of the story will be focusing on the slice of life moments in the anime, before meeting Baldur.
(WEIRD IDEA: Can you imagine Tohru and Kratos fighting over Kobayashi? Realistically probably won't happen, but I can't help but like the idea, also I like to think Kobayashi would be a good mother figure for Atreus, like how she was to Kanna)

Fafnir still loves video games, and maybe has beef with some certain little people stealing his treasure.
