The blue fish couldn't believe what just happen...He was staring at the destruction at a house... Heck, it was HIS house! The same house that he and Sandy built a few five weeks ago! His pet worm was comforting him by rubbing his head on his owner's left leg. Miles saw this and gently patted his head.
Also, if y'all are wondering, when did Miles get a pet?! Well, let's head back a few hours ago.
* A Few Hours Ago *
Miles was walking somewhere after his workout at Sandy's Treedome. He had a great time there, considering that he actually beat Spongebob in a karate match, especially when the sponge was in his giant form. The squirrel was very impressed with the blue tang fish that she gave him a note. However, he decided not to open it yet, since Sandy said to wait til he gets to his house.
'That was a great workout.' Miles said to himself. 'I wonder what does the note said?'
Before he could actually consider about checking the note in his pocket, he heard some barking from an alley. "Huh? D-Do I hear some barking?" He decided to check it out. He went through the alley and saw a house. It seems that the people were having a sale. They were selling their stuff. That seemed reasonable... Until he saw some jerk trying to sell his own pet.
"Sweetie... You can't sell your pet worm." The mother said.
"Yes I can!" The ungrateful teen fish said. "Besides, this worm is getting annoying, dad and I never liked him, and I told you that I wanted a bull-fish, not this worm!"
"You know that we didn't have enough money for that! Besides, even if we did, you're too young to take care of a bull-fish!"
"Just let him sell it," The father said. "Once we have enough money, I'll buy us a bull-fish."
"YES! Thank you, dad!"
The little guy looked down... He couldn't believe that these cruel people were selling him. Sure, the only person that was nice to him was the mother, but still. The little one hoped that his day will turn around for the better...
Luckily, a miracle can happen!
The blue fish saw a line of people getting stuff. He got to the back and waited. After a few minutes, he finally got to the front. "H-Hello, sir." Miles said the male owner of the sale. "Is there anything valuable that I can buy here?"
"Well, look around, see something that peeks your interest, and we'll get started."
The blue fish nodded and looked around the place. That was when something caught his eye... It was the latest Danny Phantom Comic Book everyone at his old home was talking about.
"Wow!" Miles exclaimed, picking it up. "I've always wanted to read this!"
The young fish saw the comic book that Miles was holding. "It's an awesome superhero cover, huh?"
"Yep!" The blue fish agreed. "Danny Phantom is the best hero of all time. Too bad the tv series cancelled after Season 3."
"Welp, there were rumors that the ghost boy has been in Bikini Bottom before."
Miles was shocked hearing this. "Wait, seriously?!"
"Well, yeah, but they're just rumors, so... We don't know if it's true or not, anyway."
The blue fish nodded in understandment, after all, even if the rumors were true, it'll be crazy to see a ghost boy flying around Bikini Bottom. That was when the blue fish remembered something. He looked at the comic book then looked back at the owners who were in charge of the garage sale. "I'd like to buy this latest Danny Phantom comic book, please."
The fish man appeared at the front of the table. "Sure, that'll be $15 bucks."
Miles nodded and handed him fifteen dollars from his pocket. He was about go, until he saw a lonely red worm, crying a little bit. The blue fish then got close, but not too close to the poor guy. "Awww..." Miles said, looking at the poor guy. "What happen to this nice little guy?"
The pet worm smiled a little bit when the blue fish said that. That was when the ungrateful fish told him.
"Oh, that's my 'ex' pet worm that I NEVER wanted, but mom BROUGHT IT to me, anyway!" He said, which made the mother feel bad even more. Miles didn't like how this was going. Even if his mother, father, or sister gave him something he didn't like, he'd at least be thankful that they gave him something instead of nothing.
"Umm...Sorry to hear that..." The blue fish then started looking at the poor guy. He gently petted the worm and rubbed its head. "Sup, little guy?"
The little worm liked getting the attention so much that he started wagging his tail. The mother saw this and was smiling as well.
"Young man, would you like to have this little guy?"
The blue fish looked at the female owner of the red worm pet. He then looked back at the red worm. He decided to think for a moment before he could make a choice.
"I guess. The poor little guy ain't getting good care from your spoiled son..." He whispered quietly so the boy wouldn't hear anything he said.
The female owner gave him the red worm. "Promise me you'll take care of him." She had a hopeful smile.
"I promise."
The next part will happen soon. However, this is how Miles got a new pet. That and he got a new comic book. Sorry that it was short. Next time, it'll be longer.
See y'all later!
