"Oooooooooo~, someone's in trouble~" Both Connor and Lotus taunted their sister, who just glared at them.
"I'm sure they are just gonna have some bond time...or I am missing some sort of sign here?" Miles asked.
"Probably both" Lotus said.
"I'll be in the office," Tina replied, getting up from her seat and heading towards the main office.
Amelia just looks at the guys in the table "Should I go now or..."
"You don't wanna make Mom upset" Lotus said, gently hugging his sister.
"Lotus, stop giving her hugs" Connor replied.
"Maybe you should, just in case." Miles said.
"Ugh...Fine! I go" Amelia said, before getting up from her chair and walking to where her mom went.
"Is you guys' mom scary when she gets angry?" Miles asked.
"Her silent angry is much more scary than her being angry" Lotus confirms it.
"Ain't that right." Connor replies.
"Oh, alright" Miles nods, gulping a bit.
The Office
Amelia didn't know why her mother wanted to talk to her for some reason, especially since her favorite fish was at the same house with her.
"Hey mom, what seems to be the pickle?" She said, acting like everything was normal.
"Just sit on the chair, dear," Tina said, also acting like everything's normal. Once her daughter saw down, she then went straight to the point, "So tell me, Amelia, you really like Miles, right?"
"Oh the little fish? Yeah I guess he is pretty cool" She shrugged off a answer.
"So, you love him SO much that you'll let him bang your ass?~" The mother replied without a care in the world, but whispered just in case so the boys wouldn't hear.
If her daughter had been drinking anything at the moment she would have totally had spit it out all over the place after hearing this, but instead her eyes went wide, and her heart started to race, feeling as if she was busted with her hand in the cookie jar after she was told not to put her hand in there.
"W-What?"
"Sweetie, I saw what you and the blue little fish were doing in the guest room, and I must say... Miles sure has guts~"
Amelia gasps and is truthfully bashful "Y-You saw us? H-How much did you see?"
"Long enough to almost get turned on by it," Tine said while giggling.
"Eww! Mom that's gross" Amelia really didn't want to hear her mom saying she got turn on.
"Says the one banging her little fish in my house." Tina reminded her daughter.
"To be fair I thought everyone else was too busy to notice and the door was locked...guess I didn't get careful good enough" She grumbles.
"You did seem to forget that the doors have windows. Anyway, pushing private stuff aside, don't worry about that. I'm not mad at you or anything." She assured her daughter.
"Really? ...Why not?" Amelia asked, confused.
"Well, one, your father and I did the same thing back in our young adult days, haha," She said before getting to the actually point, "And two, because I'm not that strict like your father. Besides, I can understand about wanting to get rid of an itch, if you know what I mean."
Amelia rolls her eyes and tries not to barf "I...guess. But what now? If im not in trouble, you made me come here just to tell me that you know?
"That, and I have another question. Were you two using protection, or are you two just doing the butt stuff?" Tina asked casually.
"MOM!? Oh my god stop it!" Amelia said, getting too embarrassed "We didn't use any but we didn't went that far ok?"
"I'm just asking," She said while giggling, "Besides, I told the fish that you two can have fun but I better not have a grandchild by you two while you two are still young, hahaha!"
"That's not happening!" Amelia got up, getting peeved "W-We are just having fun that's all, nothing serious"
"Don't worry, sweetie, I believe you," Tina said, patting her head so she can calm down, "Anyway, don't worry, I won't tell your father about it, okay."
This made Amelia a little bit better as she knows that her father would really place Miles onto the wall once he finds out of what they did.
"Just try to keep it in your pants when we are home too ok? You jumped the clam on this one and you should consider yourself lucky the one to find out was me" Tina said with a certain dangerous glint to her eye.
"Yes mom! I promise I'll keep it to myself while you guys are here too!" 'Starting to see why Miles is scared of me... and us sharks too...'
"Wonderful! Thats all I ask for dear, now you may go now unless you want to stay here with me and discuss how good he was with you ohohoho"
"MOM!" 'I mean, it was amazing, but still!' "I'm gonna go now!"
The teenage shark quickly got off of her seat and went out of the office, while the mother was still laughing.
"She likes acting tough but deep down my sweety Amelia is still a maiden at heart"
(The Kitchen)
The thicc-ass teenager returned to the table with a huff, but saw that Lotus and Miles were gone while Connor was still eating the remaining food.
"MMMMMM!" Connor said, grabbing the turkey leg and bit it.
"Did the nerds went upstairs to talk more about their series or whatever?" Amelia asked, feeling tired.
"Eh, something like that. Lotus told Miles that he wanted to give him something." Connor replied with the food in his mouth.
(Lotus Room)
"I hope Amelia is doing fine" Miles said.
"Eh, don't worry, man. My sister's tough as nails," Lotus assured him, "Anyway, I wanted to show you something."
"What is it?"
Lotus then went under the bed, picked up a box and opened it up, revealing a tub of a strange light-blue liquid. He then showed it to the blue fish.
"Whoooooa..." Miles looked at the tube with curiosity peeked, the liquid seemed to glow like something out of a movie "What is that?"
"Something I'd like to call 'Liquid Bionics'," Lotus said, "I was just thinking and talking about this for fun, but I always thought about making something like this"
"Wait...you made this goo?" Miles looked at him in shock "Also Liquid Bionics? I don't think I follow"
"Yeah, and umm, you've watched Lab Rats: Bionic Island, right?" Lotus asked.
"Uhm...its on my list?" Miles sweatdrops it.
"Okay...? ANYWAY," Lotus said, pushing that aside and getting to the point, "Liquid Bionics is a new form and/or way to get new bionic powers - which could be injected into anyone and make them bionic."
"oOOOH like something similar to Bioshock?"
"Something like that, yeah! I thought about showing this to everyone, but I figured that they would not believe me, or in a crazy event if they did, they would use its powers for either revenge or personal gain."
"Ok first of all DUDE! You made superpowered liquid in a bottle? Thats insane! Second, your family would never do that...ok maybe your brother"
"Yeah! I was surprised myself. And yeah, Mom and Dad wouldn't do it, but Connor might... and maybe Amelia might use her powers on you if she got them" He said, just trying to scare the blue fish.
Miles thought for a moment on what type of powers Amelia would get if she try it or maybe him, the possibilities were endless "How long does it last?"
"Well, right now, this prototype would only last for three to five minutes," He explains before showing him the other one, "This one lasts forever. Each of them are different, you know."
"You already made a permanent one? And how you know that it lasts forever? You done some tests?" Miles asked, feeling this conversation was getting into a interesting route.
"I've done a few tests on robot subjects that I've built. There's no way I would use it on actual people around here. Even if the test on them was successful, it could still lead to uncertain problems." Lotus said, not wanting to cause any problems in his or anyone's lives.
"Wait you tested the liquid on robots or did you test the prototype one on yourself and then tested the power on robots?"
"I used the liquid onto myself, which does hurt, then I used its powers to blast some robots that I built. Of course, I only used the prototype liquid bionics since the permanent one may bring some... uncertain things. Even if it's successful, I don't wanna risk it, you know."
"Man...your a mad lad" Miles said with a nervous yet excited chuckle "What power did you get when you used then?"
"Super Speed, Super Strength, Super Smarts, Flight, etc" Lotus said.
"You tried more then one time?!" Miles gasped "Its not addictive is it?"
"Nah, not really. After all, they only last three to five minutes"
"Well I appreciate the fact your sharing this with me even if we haven't known each other for that long"
"No problem, bro. I just felt like it because you're my first fish friend. That and because we got the same stuff that we like."
"First fish friend? Really? What about your other friends?"
"Ummm, well, I do have friends, but most of them are sharks. And the fish back where we used to be... Well, let's just say that they don't fully trust us yet. They're not scared of us anymore because of the truce, but they're still wary of us. That's all."
"That's fair, maybe they think one day you guys will snap and eat them. I understand the primal fear of sharks but look at me...hanging with many huh?" He said, showing he hung out with Lotus and even had more...close moments with Amelia, which dawned on him that he just got personal like that with a shark girl and no one would believe him.
The little shark chuckles a bit, understanding Miles' words, "Yeah, I get what you're saying, dude. We are glad that you're friends with us... Well, everyone except Connor."
"Give me time I get there...probably...But say do you think I could uhm" He was feeling nervous "Test that a little bit?" Miles asked as the prospect of having super powers was tempting.
"Hmmmm... Well... Since I trust you, I guess you can test it a bit. BUT ONLY THE PROTOTYPE!" Lotus made the last part clear.
"Of course man, the last thing I want is to be permanently stuck with a random superpower that I might not like"
"Oh, good. Well, before I give it to ya, want to play some video games?"
'No! I want to test out super powers, you cant just tell that on a fella and expect to wait' Miles thought before saying "Of course buddy, which ones?"
"Well... There are some robot games we can play on the computer," Lotus said before giving Miles the prototype that he could use later before saying, "Don't worry, after we play the games, you'll be the first to test out some new powers, I promise."
"Oh man, you have no idea how happy your making me right now" Miles thought, already feeling all giddy about having superpowers.
"Hehe, I'm sure you are" Lotus said with a smile before he turned on the TV and the Xbox One.
Four Hours Later
After they finished playing the video games, the boys went to the yard while avoiding Amelia. That was when Miles was drinking the serum. He then was actually zapping energy balls from his fins a few minutes later.
"Heh, so, how do you like your powers?" Lotus asked with a smirk.
"This is awesome!" Miles screamed, "I know the powers will last only three minutes, but this is still amazing!" That was when his powers disappears.
"Well, how was it?"
"That was awesome."
"Heh, well, I better label these tubes before we head downstairs for dinner," Lotus said, picking up two sets of stickers. The left set said "Prototype" while the right set said "Permanent". He then placed the Permanent sticker on one tube and place the three prototype stickers on the other three, "Okay, done. Alright, let's get some grub! Also, grab those tubes and take them back to my room!"
The shark then ran back into the house, with Miles who was just about to follow when he looked at the tubes again.
"Hmmm..." Miles looks at the tubes once more, still high on the experience that he just had but an idea was forming on his head.
He then grabbed the tubes, put them in his pocket and looked at the last two tubes, one that said 'Permanent' and the other that said 'Prototype'. Miles then had a crazy look on his face and secretly switched the stickers on the tubes. After that, he places them in his pocket and ran back inside as well.
Lotus' Room
The two boys then placed the Bionic Tubes inside the box and put it under the bed.
"Are you sure that's a safe place for them?" Miles asked, "I know that nobody has found them yet, but there's still a 50% chance of that happening."
"Probably but right now I don't have a better place to hide them then this" Lotus explained.
"Okay. Anyway, let's get some dinner!"
The boys then headed downstairs.
The Kitchen
Miles, Connor, Lotus and Amelia were waiting for their dinner to be served, as well as waiting for Tina to head downstairs.
"What's taking Mom so long?" Connor grumbled.
"Im sure she will be here in just about a moment bro, maybe mom is just making sure the food is really well made" Amelia said, not paying attention as she messed with her phone.
"Hmph, yeah, I guess... Speaking of which, how was the talk with Mom back in her office?" Lotus asked his sister.
'Really? That's the question that came out of your mouth?' Miles said in his head.
"It was...ok, nothing too out of the ordinary" She said, trying to sound cool and collected "Why you wanna know?"
"J-Just making sure that you weren't grounded for life like the last time." He replied.
"Wait, what happen the last time?" The blue fish asked.
That was when Connor started chuckling, "Dad once grounded her for doing something very stupid while he and Mom were gone"
Amelia gasps "Don't you dare tell him about that!"
"Tell me about what?" Miles asked, getting interested while watching Connor and Lotus giggle. Before he could ask again, that was when the thicc-ass shark glared at him, got closer and whispered something into his ear.
"Hey there guys" Tina said before finally arriving with the food she herself wanted to bring.
"Hey Mom!" The shark kids said innocently.
"Hello, Misses Tina!" Miles replied with a smile.
"I hope I didn't let you all waiting for too long, but the food is finally here, hope some bellies are up and ready hehe"
Everyone licked their lips, showing the motherly shark that they were ready to eat. Once Tina placed the food onto the table, everyone was already grabbing anything they could shove in their mouths!
"Yeesh, kids, where are your manners?" Tina joked.
Miles however was only thinking about what Amelia said to him before her mom arrived, and he wasn't sure how to react to it.
'I better not get onto her bad side!' He said in his head, not wanting to be eaten alive or be permanently flatten onto the ground for life.
"So, how is everyone?" Tina asked.
"W-We're doing great, right guys?" Miles asked innocently.
"Yeah! Also this good is tasting real good mom, top notch" Connor said, chewing loudly.
"This is amazing, mom!" Lotus replied, finishing his food.
"The best!" Amelia said with a fake smile while staring at her mom who only giggled.
Miles just shushed his mouth and went to eating, its the best he could do at the moment and it did taste amazing.
"Glad all of you liked it!" Tina said before looking at the blue fish, "So, Miles, I'm guessing that you're heading back to your house after this?"
The blue fish swallowed his food before answering, "Yeah. Believe me, it was great meeting you all, but I gotta head back to my house."
"Yeah I bet you have things to do like going to work and get some dough huh?" Lotus said.
"Ummmm, heh, yeah" Miles replied with a smile before glaring at him.
"At least I don't have to see your weird face again." Connor smirks before Amelia looked at him.
"At least I wont have to smell your certain 'Aroma' anymore as you work out" Miles shot back.
"OOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Lotus and Amelia replied before looking at their brother, "ROASTED!"
"Oh, shut up!" He grumbled before looking at the blue fish, "Not bad, Miles... Not bad." He said the last part quietly, showing some respect.
"Well guys it was an honor sharing this place with you all even if for just a short while, but it looks like duty calls and I must give you all goodbye" Miles said, getting up from the chair.
"Hope we can hang out some more, Miles" Lotus said before giving him a hug before whispering something in his ear, 'You only have the prototype bionic tube, right?'
'Yes' He whispered back before innocently saying, "Maybe soon, Lotus. You're the first shark that hasn't scared the crap out of me, heh." Miles chuckled at the end.
"Don't be a stranger and come anytime dear, the door of my house are open to you" Tina said with a sweet smile "Im sure Amelia will like it too"
"Um, yeah, I'm sure she would, heh" He replied innocently. Before he could leave the house, Amelia picked him and gave him a gentle smile. She then places a big kiss on his forehead.
"See ya later, little guy~" Amelia said with a smile.
"OOoooOHHH" Connor and Lotus said, teasing her from that scene.
She then rolled her eyes, "Again, you two are just jealous because y'all don't have any girlfriends." She smirked at the last part.
"Hey" Miles replied, defending his new friend, "Lotus will get a girlfriend someday"
"Awww, thanks man." Lotus said.
"You're welcome bro. Ummm, I'll see ya again soon, Connor."
"Hphm... Good riddance" Connor said, kinda not wanting to see the blue fish again.
Miles then blushes a bit by what Amelia did before walking away without looking back and finally leaving their house.
"Heh... That was something" He said quietly before pulling out the 'Prototype' and 'Permanent' Bionic Liquid tubes from his pocket, "This is gonna be awesome!" He then put them back into his pocket and ran from the house.
