BAE: Beautiful and Evil – One More Breath
Sasha tries to save her marriage but as rumours of Bianca Belair's return start to increase, Sasha finds it hard to get Seth's full attention and lead BAE. Charlotte reminds Becky that she cares about Sasha and Alexa Bliss and Bayley try to maintain the peace as the Road to WrestleMania gets Rocky for the God Girls.
Chapter Twenty-Five – The Night After WrestleMania Part I
Malibu Beach, Los Angeles, California
Rhea Ripley looked over the beach sand wondering what happened to the church that was there last week. Since re-joining BAE, her focus had been on keeping them at the forefront of the wrestling business. Her long blond hair was gone and she was unrecognisable to the many, many, many Californians that had worshipped her thinking she was some spiritual goddess called Gloria. Looking at her from the outside, Gloria was long gone and so was the church she resided in.
"What happened to the church made of sand?" the people asked wondering were the miraculous feat from Heaven went all of a sudden.
"I don't know but its gone and so is Gloria. I really wish she'd come back," another person said.
"I know, Gloria gave my life meaning," someone else said and Rhea laughed much to the people's disapproval.
"Clearly she never met Gloria," one person said about Rhea Ripley and they walked away leaving Rhea to figure out what to do now that Carmelo Hayes and Gigi Dolan were broken up. BAE were on the WrestleMania card and the show started in 24 hours. Everyone was on their game except for Gigi and Rhea had to pull her out of her toxic mood.
"I can't believe you're dumping me!" Gigi yelled at Melo as Rhea sat between them on the beach.
"You never actually said why you were breaking up with Gigi, was it something to do with what happened in Florida? Did you meet someone while you were down there?" Rhea asked Melo.
"No, its just that BAE's about to take over the world and I don't want to be attached to anyone when we finally break out. I'd like to keep my options open and I'd think you would too Gigi," Melo said and Gigi shook her head angrily.
"No, this doesn't make sense. We were supposed to be the BAE hot couple, why would we be broken up going into WrestleMania?" Gigi asked and Rhea rubbed her chin.
"Yeah, Gigi's right, there's something you're not telling us Melo, what's the real reason for this break up?" Rhea asked Melo but he didn't give them another reason.
"I said its over Gigi, just accept it and move on, okay?" Melo said and Gigi screamed.
"No, I will not move on, I want you back and I will destroy whoever's come between us," Gigi said and Melo sighed.
"Can we please leave now Rhea? I don't have anything else to say to her," Melo said and Rhea looked at Melo intently.
"I know you're keeping something from me. You might be finished with Gigi but I'm not finished with you. If I find out you're working against BAE, I'll snap that little neck of yours and feed it to the dogs," Rhea warned Melo while Gigi bawled over losing her own personal bae to someone or something she knew absolutely nothing about.
"I'm not working against BAE now can we please go? This is the biggest weekend of our lives and I'd like to start a little trouble before it gets started," Melo said and Rhea gave Gigi a hug.
"Pull it together Dolan, your ex-boyfriend's right this is a big weekend for us. Let's not do anything to ruin it, Sasha, Rocky and the Undertaker are all counting on us and we don't want to let them all down, do we?" Rhea said as Gigi cried into her broad shoulder. "Come on let's go, 'Tez and Trinity are waiting for us at the hotel,"
Rhea helped Gigi to her feet her shoulder now wet with break up tears and she looked over at Melo who was texting someone. Rhea wanted to snatch the phone out of his hand and tell him to show some feeling for his ex but that wasn't possible right now. He was clearly seeing someone else and Rhea made it her priority to find out who the chick was that stole sexy Melo's cold heart away from the equally cold Gigi Dolan.
"Wow look at the water!" someone called out and Rhea, Melo and Gigi turned around and saw that something was happening to the water.
"What the Hell is that?" Melo said and Rhea's mouth opened along with Gigi's eyes as the crystal blue water was suddenly shimmering liquid gold.
"Its Gloria! She's back!" one of the people shouted out.
"What is that?" Gigi asked Rhea who called the Undertaker immediately.
"I don't know but I can't stop looking at it," she said as the golden water covered the sand and as it rolled up over the beach goers, it healed everyone of any sickness or infirmity that they had.
"My back pain's gone I'm completely healed!" an elderly woman cried out and other people shouted out what they had been healed from and Rhea shuddered and she dropped her cell phone.
"I can't believe it. It is Gloria, she's back," Rhea said and Melo and Gigi exchanged glances.
"Well, if Gloria's real and she's as powerful as the whole of Malibu says she is, we better tell the rest of BAE that she's back," Gigi said to Rhea who gulped as the golden water covered the beach.
Rhea stepped back and the three members of BAE ran up to the top of the beach away from the golden water and their collective eyes widened as the water formed into the shape of a woman who was completely golden. This woman had Rhea's cell phone in her hand and she extended it to Rhea who was too afraid to take it from her.
"Do you want me to get it?" Melo asked Rhea who shook her head.
"Nobody move," Rhea said. "We gotta get out of here now!"
"But she's here for you!" Gigi Dolan said but Rhea lead Melo and Gigi away from the beach and to the hotel where the rest of BAE would be meeting together before WrestleMania weekend.
The people watched as the completely golden woman moved like an elegant sunbeam down the beach towards downtown Los Angeles, followed by vociferous chants of "Gloria! Gloria! Gloria!"
By WrestleMania Saturday, BAE was no longer the talk of the town, Gloria was. Photos of the golden figure were all over social media and Beth Hardy was furious.
"Damn it Sasha, I told you to get rid of that freakin' golden goddess. This is WrestleMania weekend and you got Rhea Ripley pretending to be this super blond chick again?!" she yelled at her cousin at breakfast at the Hollywood Hilton.
Sasha shot Rhea a death glare at the breakfast table as did Montez Ford and the Rock.
"What did I tell you about that Gloria chick Rhea?" Sasha said. "This is the biggest weekend of all time for BAE, why did you conjure up this golden demon and put all the attention on yourself again?"
"But I didn't do that, I went to the beach to mediate for Gigi and Melo. I had no idea that she'd turn up I swear!" Rhea pleaded.
"Well, she did turn up Rhea and now she's all LA is talking about, everyone thinks Gloria is your alter ego," Sasha said.
"I don't know who she is or what she wants with me, all I want is for this weekend to go well. I don't know what to do she came out of the water as we were leaving!" Rhea said.
"She has healing power just like Rhea," Melo said and Montez Ford shook his head at Rhea in disgust.
"How could you do this to me, on the biggest weekend of my career? Are you really that starved for attention? Or are you just trying to get back at me for getting back with Bianca?" 'Tez said.
"I told you I didn't do this to sabotage BAE, please guys I'm on your side here. My hair's gone back to normal and I'm doing evil things again. The last thing I wanted was for the conversation to not be about you at WrestleMania," Rhea pleaded but 'Tez didn't believe her.
"Melo said that this Gloria chick has healing powers, which sounds like a God Girl thing to me," 'Tez said and Rhea gulped nervously looking at Sasha who looked like she was about to explode with rage. It would be a very beautiful explosion as Sasha looked absolutely gorgeous this morning. Seth was out with Havana and he had woken her up with hugs and kisses that and a bouquet of giant red roses. Since returning from Florida, Seth had been on bended knee for her, doing everything she asked, making her feel loved and not once did he mention the God Girls. For a full two weeks, Sasha, Seth and Havana had been God Girl free and life hadn't been better. Going to Clearwater Baptist Church and having Sunday lunch with the MacKenzie family and Miss Glee had really turned their marriage around. So, the idea that Rhea could be working with the God Girls behind Sasha's back was a crime that came with a punishment if it were true.
"This is not the time to be messing with me Rhea. If you are working with those God damn God Girls again, now is the time to come clean," Sasha said severely but Rhea shook her head in frustration.
"I'm not working with the God Girls Sasha," she said grabbing her head perplexed. "I don't know what she wants with me,"
"You don't know what who wants with you?" Trinity asked Rhea.
"Gloria," Rhea said and the other members of BAE exchanged displeased glances.
"Gloria is a figment of your imagination Rhea, an imagination that is clearly out of control and I think it might be time that you go see that mental health doctor in New York," the Undertaker said. "Whoever you think this Gloria person is, she's having a negative impact on you and us,"
Rhea nodded in tears, "I don't know why she just won't go away," she said disturbed.
Rocky turned to Sasha, "I think Rhea should sit 'Mania out, let's get her an appointment with the doctor right away. I don't want her or Gloria ruining the weekend for BAE, there's just too much at stake,"
"I can't just take Rhea off the show, she's a major part of this," Beth Hardy said and Sasha went to speak when her cell phone rang.
"Excuse me one second," she said answering her phone. "Hello, who is this?"
"Gloria," a voice answered and Sasha looked at the phone and gold dust started to seep through the device causing her to drop the phone and move away from the BAE breakfast table. The phone sat in a pool of liquid gold and Melo and Gigi looked at Rhea who was trembling with fear.
"She called you, didn't she?" Rhea asked Sasha who stared at Rhea bemused. "She took my cell phone at Malibu beach and now she's using it to find us,"
"You have got to be kidding me with this s*** Rhea. You better fix this before you see that doctor in New York," Montez Ford demanded. "We can't have this Gloria b**** showing up at 'Mania, she'll ruin everything! Get rid of her now!"
"Okay, I'll try," Rhea said and BAE watched as the breakfast table turned into gold right in front of them.
"Take this s*** and get rid of it. Don't come back until Gloria is gone for good!" Sasha said throwing her cell phone at Rhea who pocketed it quickly. "Go with her," Sasha said to Melo and Gigi who left with Rhea who didn't know how to fix the Gloria problem. "Of all the stupid s*** to go down before we make history. If I find out that Seth has anything to do with this, that's it for us. I might divorce him the night after WrestleMania,"
The Rock laughed along with the Undertaker, "You leaving Seth Rollins is like me going broke: it ain't never gonna happen," he said and the Undertaker agreed.
"I don't think any of this is funny. This is the biggest weekend of my career and Seth and the God Girls will not ruin it for me and that includes my wife!" 'Tez said and Sasha tapped him on the shoulder to re-assure him and they went for a walk together while Beth Hardy tried to make sense of the golden table that BAE were eating around. As much as she didn't want to do anything to upset her cousin on WrestleMania weekend, her gut told her that her mother Stephanie needed to know what just happened. If anyone knew about weird stuff happening around WrestleMania it was Stephanie McMahon.
Starbucks
Seth and the God Girls left Starbucks only to quickly get out of sight when Seth saw Rhea Ripley, Melo and Gigi walking down the street they were on.
"Hide Girls. I don't want BAE to see us together," Seth said discreetly and Charlotte, Alexa and Bayley went back into Starbucks while Seth met up with BAE. "Hey guys what's going on?"
"What's going on, have you not seen Gloria posted all over social media and the press? She's all LA is talking about and Sasha thinks I'm the reason for her return," Rhea said.
"Sasha's mad at you?" Seth asked and it was clear to the leader of the God Girls that Rhea was freaking out. "What did she say to you?"
"She's blaming me for this, please tell me you and the God Girls don't have anything to do with this Seth?" Rhea demanded.
"I don't like the tone of your voice Aunt Rhea," Havana said unimpressed. "I'm glad Gloria's back, you're always so much happier when Gloria's around,"
"Not now sweetie," Seth said to his daughter and he backed up as Rhea put a golden cell phone in his face.
"It's your wife's cell phone, Gloria called it and it turned gold," Rhea said.
"Cool!" Havana said her eyes widening with delight at the golden cell phone. "Can I have its Daddy please?"
"Sure, I don't think your Mom's gonna want it back," Seth said and she gave the cell phone to Havana. "What's the big deal, its not like this Gloria person is trying to hurt anyone. From what I've read all she does is heal people, is that such a bad thing?"
"It is if you're BAE. We're Beautiful and Evil, we can't have this golden healer chick going around healing people on our debut WrestleMania. It's bad for our image!" Rhea said and Seth tried not to laugh.
"BAE is gonna steal the show, my wife is getting upset over nothing. You guys are going to do great," Seth assured BAE.
"So, you're not involved in this, you or the God Girls?" Melo asked Seth.
"Relax guys I'll talk to my wife and set her mind at ease, I'm really good at that," Seth said with a big smile and suddenly Rhea felt better.
"Okay Seth, please go talk to her. I need to go to the gym and work off all this tension," Rhea said and she left with Melo and Gigi and Seth went back into the Starbucks where the God Girls were waiting for him.
"So, did she buy it?" Charlotte asked Seth who nodded with a smile.
"Gloria has totally distracted BAE. I think we might be able to pull this off," Seth said hopefully and Alexa, Bayley and Charlotte jumped up and down joyfully. "By the end of WrestleMania, BAE might be gone for good!"
"YAY!" the God Girls cheered.
"And 'Tez and Bianca can save their marriage and me, Sasha and Havana can be one happy family!" Seth added and the God Girls stopped rejoicing causing Havana to look up at them.
"Don't you guys want my family to be happy too?" she asked the God Girls.
"Of course we do Havana," Bayley said. "Why don't you show me a cool game on your Mom's phone while Aunty Charlotte and Alexa talk to your father?"
As Bayley ushered Havana away to a quiet booth, Charlotte and Alexa turned to Seth with serious looks on their faces.
"Seth, there's something you need to know about the night after WrestleMania," Alexa said. "We've gone back and forth about this, we weren't sure we even wanted to tell you but, since BAE's going down, there's no reason to keep this from you any longer,"
"Keep what from me?" Seth asked.
"After WrestleMania, 'Tez is gonna leave Bianca and file for custody of Perfection," Charlotte said and Seth's face fell.
"That can't happen, if BAE go down, 'Tez has got no reason be apart from Bianca, why would he leave her?" Seth asked confused.
"Because when BAE falls apart, 'Tez is going to blame Bianca for it. He's going to berate her and verbally abuse her and then he's going to leave her for good," Alexa said and Seth's eyes watered.
"I can't let that happen, not on the night after WrestleMania. It'll break her heart," Seth said emotionally.
"B's heart is already broken, that's why Becky's with her right now. We've all been praying for her to keep her strength up. You can imagine how hard it hit her when she found out about her marriage ending," Charlotte said.
"Why didn't you tell me about this?" Seth asked.
"Because we knew you'd want to comfort her and under the circumstances, we didn't think that would be the best idea in the world," Alexa said and Seth furrowed his brow.
"So then why are you telling me now?" he asked Charlotte and Alexa puzzled.
"Because now we know," Charlotte said.
"Now you know what?" Seth asked.
"That Becky was right," Alexa said.
"That Becky was right about what?" Seth asked and his cell phone rang. "Hello?"
"Where are you?"
It was Bianca Belair.
"I'm at the Starbucks downtown," Seth replied and he found himself getting excited. He hadn't spoken to Bianca in weeks, hearing her voice felt really good. "Bianca, are you okay?"
"Get off the phone!" Charlotte and Alexa yelled and they jumped on Seth and wrestled his cell phone away from him. "Damn it Becky must have fallen asleep; Bianca should not be calling you!"
"I need to see her," Seth said pulling Charlotte off his back. "Her voice, her smile, I miss all of it. I want to go see her now,"
"I want to see her too Daddy," Havana said coming back over to her father. "So, I can tell her to stay away from you once and for all,"
Seth gulped at his daughter's unimpressed face and Charlotte, Bayley and Alexa were equally unimpressed by Seth's sudden desire to be with Bianca Belair. He bent down and looked his daughter in the face with a smile.
"Oh honey, I don't think I can ever stay away from Bianca," he said.
"Why not, don't you want to make our family better?" Havana asked furrowing her brow. "Mommy doesn't like her and when you see her, Mommy gets mad and that makes me mad. So, unless you want me to Combust right here in this fancy Starbucks, I strongly suggest you stay away from Perfection's Mom,"
"So do we," the God Girls said and Seth gave them all a stern look of disapproval.
"At least one of us cares about Bianca. I expected more from you guys," Seth said and he went to get another coffee while the God Girls and Havana gave a sigh of relief. Seth scrolled picked up his cell phone that had been kicked across the shop and he saw a message waiting for him. "I gotta see her," he said to himself, it was a prayer that God heard. "I gotta make sure she's okay. Trust me Father, I won't touch her. I promise,"
God believed Seth and answered his prayer and later on that night, Seth would be given the opportunity to find out if his favourite God Girl was okay and the other God Girls would know nothing about it.
