Once everybody was up and ate breakfast they went to the school were Amanda would be starting when school starts.

"Daddy papa will you pick me up if I don't like it?" "No we will be there at noon ok?" Amanda looked scared but followed her dads into the school.

Once they got to the classroom

Nick and Jeff knocked on the classroom door. A few seconds later the teacher answered the door. "Come on in Amanda." Amanda took her hand and watched as her dads left.

"Guys listen up this is Amanda and her parents want her to know what Kindergarten is all about so I want you to be nice to her."

Twenty children answered her and she smiled when she heard that. "I want you to go sit at that empty chair." Amanda nodded and sat down where she was told.

At noon

"I like school papa! Why can't I stay like the big kids?" "Because you still have June and July before you go to school." "I can't wait until I go to school." Just then Nick caught her yawning. "I think somebody is ready for a nap.""No I'm a big girl I went to school I don't need a nap."

Two months later

Amanda was standing in front of her swing set and while all of her family takes her first day of school pictures. "Alright baby are you ready?" "Yes!" Nick and Amanda went to the car and Nick help her get in her seat.

At the school

Amanda saw more children than when she went in May.

"Papa I'm scared." "You will be fine look there's Nataly." Amanda looked and saw Nataly standing by Jordan who was two years younger than Amanda but is starting preschool.

Amanda unbuckled her seatbelt and slide out and then ran over to Nataly.

"Amanda what are you doing here?" "I starting big school but Nana will get me after school." "Cool." Just then all the teachers came out to get their class. "Who's your teacher?" "I don't know." Nataly took Amanda's hand and then walked over to the Kindergarten teachers and was lucky that the first teacher was the one to have her in her class.

Once school was over

Amanda and Nataly were playing while they waited for Kurt and Jeff's mom. "I like school Nataly. What about you?" "Second grade is alright but I'm not in class with my friends anymore."

Just then they heard somebody crying

Nataly and Amanda turned around and saw a little boy sitting on the ground. "I think he's in my class we should cheer him up Nataly." "Good idea."

Amanda and Nataly went over to were the little boy was crying. "Why are you crying?" "Go away." "Hey we were just trying to be nice." "I'm sorry but I don't want to talk to anybody." "Why are you crying?" They saw the little boy sigh and then look up at Amanda and Nataly.

"I only have heard about hybrid people I never met one in real life." "Nataly come on sweets." Nataly turned and saw Kurt standing by the gates. "Coming. See you tomorrow Amanda." Nataly ran over to Kurt and gave him a big hug.

Just then an older boy came over to where Amanda and the other boy were. "There you are I was wondering where you were." "You didn't meet me by the gates like mommy and daddy says." "I'm so sorry. Are you ready to go?" "I want to wait with my new friend. What's your name I'm Fundy and this is my older brother Alex." "You want to be my friend?" "Yeah because you and that girl were the only ones to see if I were ok." Before Amanda got a chance to reply she heard her grandma calling her name.

Over the next three months Fundy and Amanda grew closer and Nataly was jealous because ever since Amanda was born she was the only one to play with her. "Nataly come play with me." "Oh now you want to play with me." "Why are you being mean to me?"

Nataly just pushed her and went into the kitchen where the adults were. Amanda followed her. "What's going on you two?" Amanda ran and hid behind Kurt's legs."Nataly doesn't want to be my friend anymore." "Nataly is that true." Nataly just ignored Kurt and went into the kitchen.

Kurt turned and looked at Amanda who was crying at the thought of Nataly being mad at her. "Amanda sweets can I ask you why you think Nataly doesn't want to be your friend anymore?" "I asked her to play with me and she said now you want to play with me. Uncle Kurt I don't understand why is she being mean to me." Kurt sighed and then went to were Nataly was hiding under the table.

Nataly saw a pair of shoes standing by the table and then saw Kurt a few minutes later. "Nataly can we talk?" At that Nataly broke down crying and told Kurt all that had happened at school.

"Nataly Amanda is growing up and you should be happy that she had made a friend." "Why she doesn't play with me at school anymore." "But you still have when they come over or when we go to their house her friend doesn't have that."

Nataly thought and then smiled. "Your right." "I know I am." Nataly went back to her room and saw that Amanda was playing with her barbies. "I'm sorry that I got mad at you." Amanda turned and smiled glad that Nataly wasn't mad at her. "I forgive you. Do you want to play barbies with me?"

Nataly nodded and sat down next to Amanda and picked up one of her barbie dolls.

"Amanda time to go home." "Ok. Bye Nataly, I'll see you tomorrow at school." "Ok."
