Chapter 1: the beginnings of conflict
I'm rethinking my original Digimon story from my YouTube channel so I hope you guys and gals like it
Pain, that was all that was going through the god emperor of the digital world's body, indescribable pain, pain so unimaginable that it would drive one to insanity, but for the emperor, it was just a trial he had to face, mostly because he was protecting his citizens, those of the digital world from a invasion by a black cloud that started to break his kingdom. So when this cloud was on the doorstep of his capital he rushed outside and used his power to contain the dark force eventually actually destroying it, but at a price. His body, which he had honed to him seemed like centuries but to the real world, only ten years had passed. As his body fell towards his kingdom his mind went to the human world, and to a pink haired and yellow eyed girl who's face he could not remember but her eyes he could, those eyes that shown like a Topaz.
[Human world the day of the entrance exam for the support course]
Mei Hatsume a brilliant young woman with a heart of gold was walking into UA to try and get into the support course, of course she was also going to try something that no UA student has ever done before as well, join both the hero and support courses, with the help of her twin friends, the Hagurumon twins.
When she entered the room with them she saw both principal Nezu and Powerloader behind a desk.
"Miss Hatsume was it?" Asks Nezu.
"Yes sir, today I bring three inventions that I've made and a request." Says Hatsume boldly.
"I'm guessing that the two gear like robots are two of the inventions?" Asks Powerloader looking at the Hagurumon twins.
"No they are not sir, they're my assistants." Says Hatsume.
Nezu when he heard this look at Mei. "Miss Hatsume, I believe I misunderstood something, but are you saying that these two robots aren't your design?"
"No you have that right but you are also wrong." Says Mei.
"Why's that?"
"Because they can't be made here in the physical world, only in the digital world."
"Oh so the system is created digitally then they're build by robots." Says Nezu
"No, they're living beings with their own thoughts and minds." Says Mei.
"But they're robots?" Says Powerloader.
"WE'RE NOT ROBOTS YOU NIMROD!" Yells one of the Hagurumon twins.
"Sōbi calm down." Says Mei petting the twin who yelled.
"Yeah Sōbi we're here to help Mei." Says the other Hagurumon.
"Sorry Mei, sorry Setsubi, my anger got the better of me." Says Sōbi.
After some time Mei showed off her inventions and asked to be double enrolled with the hero course by showing them the power of Sōbi and Setsubi's digivolution.
"Man I hope we get into UA." Says Setsubi typing down on a laptop.
"I'm still pissed that they called us robots." Says Sōbi.
"I know how you feel Sōbi, but remember not everyone knows about the digital world." Says Mei welding parts together.
"Say Mei, why do you want to join the hero course exactly, besides doing what was thought to be impossible?" Asks Setsubi looking at their partner.
Mei stops welding and turns off the welding machine then places the welding tool down and raises her mask. "You know I had a friend before you guys, right?"
"Yeah that Izuku kid I remember... he the reason why you want to become a hero?" Asks Sōbi floating over to her.
"Yes, I hope to find out what happened to him, and bring him home." Says Mei looking at a picture of a younger her and a green haired boy smiling, but the face is covered by shadows.
[Japan rooftop]
As the sun was setting on Japan, a Torii gate appeared on top of a building and started to glow as three figures stepped out from the Torii gate, two draconic humanoids, one wearing flame themed armor while the other was wearing gold armor on its face, chest, waist, arms, and feet, all of which are colored gold. On its loin-guard is a strange symbol that resembles a M with three kite shapes on the bottom points with a fourth diamond shape above it. The third figure was a quadrupedal dragoniod with alternating yellow triangles pointing to both the belly and back of the beast three black lightning bolt like fins on the back, and a lightning shaped blade as a horn.
"You two know what to do, we must deliver the message from the lord, I'll handle the publicity of this venture." Says the golden figure.
"What if they're too strong for you Magnamon." Says the lightning beast.
"Fear not Raidramon, from what the lord has given me, their top hero can only change the weather by punching." Says the now named Magnamon.
"Still be careful." Says the flame themed reptile.
"I will Flamedramon." Says Magnamon.
"Now, how do we want to deal with this hero public safety commission?" Asks Raidramon.
"Simple, we give them a message they can't ignore, we scorch the ground in front of the building and make sure that they have no choice but to answer." Says Flamedramon.
"Indeed Flamedramon, but we must make sure that the message is clear, we will not have our kingdom be taken by those who think that the digital world belongs to the humans." Says Magnamon.
[In another part of Japan]
A little girl in a hospital gown was running through an alleyway to escape a man walking towards her.
"Eri come back, you're needed for the future." Says the man wearing a partial red plague doctor mask with a black suit with a green overcoat and surgical gloves.
As the now known Eri runs into another alleyway she sees it is a dead end but as she turns around the man was standing in front of the only exit.
'No I don't want to go back there! Someone help me!' As Eri thinks this a portal opens beneath her and swallows her up in time for the man to miss her entirely. "Damn it! Who's there!? Give Eri back!"
[In a unknown location in a forest]
As Eri was opening her eyes she saw that a pink spherical being was on her chest as she screamed and knocked the creature off her then backed up to a tree as she saw eight other creatures staring at her.
As a pink plant like creature crawls forward she smiles at Eri. "Don't be afraid Eri, we're not gonna hurt you." Says the creature.
"Wh-who are you?" Asks Eri still terrified as to what's happening.
"I'm Yokomon, the one that was on your chest was Koromon, the orange one with the bladed horn is Tsunomon, the pink one with arms is Motimon, the white one with the ribbon ears is Tokomon, the yellow one with purple stripes on their tail is Nyaromon, the green plant one is Tanemon, the brown one is Bukamon, and we're." "Digimon Digital Monsters, and we're your partners." Say the Digimon in unison as they smile at Eri.
"Digi-mon? What does digital mean?" Asks Eri.
The Digimon begin to explain what the digital world is and she slowly starts to understand it as she walks with them an impish Digimon stands over them being careful not to be noticed. "I should report this to Dynasmon immediately." As he said this he is actually summoned by a digital portal that swallows him up and places him in front of a large white door.
"Impmon you have been summoned to discuss an important matter with lord Crusadermon." Says a pair of Knightmon standing on each side of the door.
"Well that's actually good because I have big news and needed to give it to a royal knight so that's perfect."
As Impmon walks into the room he then knelt down in front of a pink knight like being.
"Impmon I was put in charge of you while your master was on the front lines to fight Beelzemon's forces."
"And I thank you my lord for I actually have a message that needed urgent delivery." Says Impmon.
"And what news is that and can it wait, the lord Alphamon has summoned me to the castle for a meeting of the knights." Says Crusadermon looking at a rose he plucked from a bush near him.
"A human has entered the digital world on File Island."
When Crusadermon heard this he dropped the rose and got serious. "Are you sure Impmon?"
"Yes a digital tear swallowed up a human girl about four to five years old with what appears to be a light blue gown with bandages covering her arms and legs...she also seemed to not know about any digital devices, she's currently with eight Digimon who claim to be her partners." Says Impmon.
"...This is very important indeed, I'll inform Alphamon of this when the meeting starts after he gives his news." Says Crusadermon.
"With that I'll take my leave lord Crusadermon." Says Impmon as he walks out the room.
'This is very important, with Alphamon calling a meeting then this is very problematic.' Thinks Crusadermon as he walks to a secret room while rubbing his forehead. 'This is giving me a headache.'
When Alphamon started the meeting the news was not good from the start, that being the the digital emperor was heavily injured and was on life support so badly he could not rise from his throne which he sat upon, but when Crusadermon gave the news about Eri the knights were troubled.
"Well me, Raidramon, and Flamedramon are still moving towards the HPSC headquarters and will give the message." Says Magnamon.
"Crusadermon give that Impmon that give you that information a raise when he comes back with more news, I highly doubt that he won't turn it down." Says a wyvern-esk humanoid with white and gold trimmed armor with red gems embedded into his palms, with purple tattered tipped wings.
"I will Dynasmon." Says Crusadermon.
[Human world, UA, Hero course, class 1A]
Mei was laying down on her desk with her twin Digimon massaging her back after Mr.Aizawa had made them take a quirk apprehension test but when it came down to Mei she had to relay on her partner Digimon to help her and she barely made it succeeding a purple ball haired boy by ten points, but now she was sitting in class as her classmates conversed amongst themselves.
"Hey Hatsume was it?" Asks a girl with pink hair and skin with little yellow horns and black sclera.
"Yeah?"
"So those ro-"
"Don't call them that, Sōbi gets mad when people call them that." Says Mei cutting off the girl before Sōbi got mad at her.
"So what are they?" Asks a girl with black hair in a ponytail with a large bang hanging in front of her.
"We're Digimon, Digital Monsters." Say the twin Digimon in unison.
"Alright is anyone else freaked out by that?" Asks a blond boy with a black lightning bolt in his hair.
"Tch whatever they're just weaklings compared to me." Says an ashen blond who pops a few explosions in his hand.
"You want to say that again punk!" Yells Sōbi as he Digivolves into Guardromon. "Come and say that to my face you bully!"
"Enough Sōbi, he doesn't deserve it!" Yells Mei.
"Yeah listen to your bitch master robot!" Yells the blond.
"DON'T CALL HER THAT YOU MURDERER!" Yells Guardromon as he punches the blond to the other side of the room.
"Sōbi NO!" Yells Mei pulling on her partner with all their might with the help from Setsubi in their Mekanorimon form.
"Brother he's not worth it! He's just a jerk that doesn't think about his actions!" Yells Setsubi pulling on their brother.
"Grrrrr FINE, but if he gets out of line again he's gonna pay." Says Sōbi returning to his Hagurumon form along with his twin sibling.
"Mei." Says Aizawa looking at her.
"Sorry sensei, I don't have control over them due to them being their own creatures and having their own personalities and feelings." Says Mei bowing with her partners
"That's not what I was going to talk about, what did Sōbi mean by Bakugo being a murderer?" Asks Aizawa.
"Tch why the hell are you carry for that loser, he died in a fire so what!" Yells Bakugo.
"We all know that Inko kept that house up to code no matter the price! And we investigate the site and say a detonation site the size of a child's hand!" Yells Sōbi.
"That so?" Asks Aizawa as he looks at Bakugo who is beginning to sweat.
When Mei saw this she began to tear up. "No, no no no no no." As Mei begins to break down crying both of the Hagurumon twins and the rest of the girls begin to comfort Mei.
"Bakugo, you'll follow me, now." Demands Aizawa as he drags Bakugo away.
After calming Mei down the class began to pack their things and as they were looking out to the front of the school they saw Bakugo fighting to get out of a police car and is driven away from the school.
"Huh looks like they're gonna give that brat what he deserves." Says Sōbi.
"Yeah, wonder how they got him to confess?" Says Setsubi.
"Doesn't matter, the guy's going to jail for his actions, no matter the consequences we won't be seeing him again." Says Sōbi hovering away.
"...I still can't believe that he did that." Says the girl with the spiky pigtail.
"Yeah and that it was when he was a kid and it could be blamed as an accident." Says a girl with aux cores for earlobes.
"I agree, considering that they were childhood friends before they got their quirks." Says Mei looking off into the distance.
"Were you close to the boy he killed?" Asks the aux earlobed girl.
"Yeah, we promised that we'd be the first tech themed duo out there, but now I'm just trying to achieve that dream for the both of us by myself." Says Mei
"Well hey at least you got a fresh start with friends." Says the pigtailed girl.
"Which reminds me I never got your names?" Asks Mei.
"I'm Kyoka Jiro." Says the now known Kyoka.
"And I'm Momo Yaoyorozu."
"Mei Hatsume, and these are my partners Sōbi and Setsubi." Says Mei pointing to her partners.
"How can you tell them apart from each other?" Asks Momo .
"You girls can't tell?" Asks Mei.
"Tell the difference between them, no." Says Kyoka while crossing her arms.
"Sōbi has three more gear teeth than Setsubi." Says Mei.
When the two girls look at the Hagurumon twins they counted the gear teeth and found that Mei was speaking the truth.
"Huh and you count the teeth that fast?" Asks Kyoka.
"Well it helps that Sōbi has a deeper voice than his sister."
"Wait they have genders!?" Say both Kyoka and Momo.
"Technically they don't but they project themselves as their genders." Says Mei.
"Wow never would have guessed that." Says Kyoka.
"Indeed they're certainly quite interesting creatures." Says Momo.
"Made more interesting by their Digivolutions." Says Mei.
"Their what?"
"Digivolution, when Sōbi and Setsubi transformed, that's what the process is called, as they are they have the power of a quirkless five year old, but when they are in their evolved state, called Champion, they have the strength of about Deatharms, their next stage, called Ultimate,I'd say less than a nuclear warhead, and their final stage, called Mega, definitely more than All Might, considering that WarGreymon, a Ultimate level Digimon has the power to shrug off Nuclear Warheads I'd say they're plenty strong." Says Mei while counting off her fingers the levels of Digimon.
"There are levels beyond Mega but I don't think we could or should enter that power set." Says Mei looking at the twins then back at the two girls who are terrified.
"You're saying that those little gears have the potential to be more powerful than a nuclear warhead!?!?!" Yells Kyoka.
"Yep, but right now, they're perfect as is." Says Mei hugging her partners.
"And here I thought that they would just have the strength of pro heroes." Says Momo chuckling nervously
"No kidding." Says Kyoka.
"...I wish Izuku was here to see your reactions, he would have thought they were funny." Says Mei looking down at the floor.
"Hey I know he's looking over you from wherever he is laughing at the two of us." Says Kyoka.
"...I don't know why but, I don't feel that he is." Says Mei clenching her arms looking out the window.
[Japan, three kilometers away from the HPSC headquarters, rooftop]
As Magnamon and his colleagues were running they were suddenly blocked by a wall of fire as Endeavor landed in front of them. "Surrender now villains, you're under arrest for destruction of private property!"
"It is the HPSC that are the villains, the experiments of the digital world are causing havoc within our world." Yells Flamedramon.
"Stop spouting lies, and surrender!"
"Never, FIRE ROCKET!!!" Yells Flamedramon as he sends a fiery punch at Endeavor, who tanks it easily.
"Do you not know who I am, I am Endeavor the fire hero, your flames won't hurt me!" Yells Endeavor.
"Then how about this Thunder Blast!" Yells Raidramon as lightning shoots out from his mouth knocking back Endeavor.
"Well done Raidramon, let's go home." Says Magnamon as he opens a gate to the digital world and they walk through it before anything can get through like the tracker that was thrown at Magnamon but bounced off.
"Damn it!" Yells a green flame haired woman.
"Burnin did you throw the tracker?" Asks Endeavor.
"Yes but it bounced right off him as he was going through that portal." Says Burnin.
"Grrrr damn it! This isn't going to be good."
When the two returned to the HPSC headquarters the president was not happy.
"You let them escape!?!?!" Yells the HPSC president.
"They were craftier than we thought and the beast was able to not only talk but shoot lightning out its mouth." Says Endeavor.
"I fail to see how they could escape when you threw the tracker to find their location!?!"
"Ma'am the tracker never landed on its intended target but instead bounced right off it, Burnin threw that tracker with all her might and yet it just bounced off the gold one's body." Says Endeavor.
"Grrrrrrrr how is it that they managed to not only vandalize the front of the building but made it so that we can't scrub it off!" Says the HPSC president as she looks down and sees what the creatures left.
The message was written not in Japanese but in another language which the international branch was trying to decode.
[Digital world, file Island, forest]
As Eri walks with her Digimon they were running through a forest running away from a Kuwagamon who was chasing them from the sky and are now hiding in a fake tree.
"Hey the Kuwagamon is gone you can come out now!" Says someone from the outside, as Eri and her partners look outside they see a yellow fox like humanoid.
"Oh Renamon good to see you again." Says Koromon hopping out of the fake tree with the others with Eri following them.
"It's good to see you again as well, and who's this little one?" Asks Renamon.
"This is Eri our partner." Says Tokomon hopping into Eri's arms.
"Finally you're here." Says Renamon kneeling to Eri. "It's good to see you partner." Says Renamon patting Eri's head.
"Wait you're my partner too?" Asks Eri.
"Yep and we're going to help you get to know yourself more." Says Nyaromon hoping over to Eri and brushing her head against Eri's leg.
"Alright, first thing, I think we should get some food." Says Koromon.
"You're always thinking about food." Yells Bukamon.
[human world, UA training site]
Two days after Bakugo was arrested and a day after Mei went to the support course. We see Mei laying down on her desk as the other kids were talking to each other.
"Man I can't believe that explosion guy was a kid when he killed another kid with his mother." Says a red headed boy with shark teeth.
"Yeah I still can't believe that we were in a room with a killer." Says a kid with black hair and cylinder elbows.
"I think we should stop talking about our former classmate, look like Hatsume isn't taking it well." Says Kyoka looking at Mei who's trying not to be bothered by the fact that one of the people she knew the most was a killer to her best friend.
"Say who do you think is going to teach us today?" Says a boy with a black lightning bolt in his hair.
"I heard that All Might is a teacher here." Says the fully pink girl.
"I hope the first lesson is awesome." Says a boy with huge lips.
"I just hope nothing crazy happens, did anyone hear about the guys who vandalized the front of the HPSC Headquarters?" Says an invisible girl.
"Yeah it's definitely not in a language I'm familiar with." Says Momo.
"What kind of language are we talking about?" Asks Mei.
"I highly doubt that you can read this but here you go." Says the pink girl handing her phone over to Mei and after a few seconds Mei begins to shake her head.
"Oh no that's bad." Says Mei.
"Wait you can understand that language?" Asks Momo.
"Well duh it's the language of the digital world, and this, this is bad if the Royal Knights are involved." Says Mei.
"Mei who are these Royal Knights." Asks Aizawa who is standing in front of the door of the classroom.
"Shoto I know your the son of Endeavor, did he complain about the guys who did this?" Asks Mei.
"Yeah, apparently the creature that was working with the villains was able to speak, but the weird thing is that they all were wearing armor and sounded similar." Says Shoto.
"Were they all blue skinned?" Asks Mei.
"How do you know that?" Asks Shoto.
"Just answer the question please." Says Mei.
"Fine and yes they were and one of them had golden armor if you want to know." Says Shoto while putting his head on his palm.
"...Shit that sounds like Magnamon." Says Mei with her face going pale.
"Magnamon? How do you know one of those villains names." Asks Aizawa.
"Where they come from, they're considered to be heroes, and by the choice of words they aren't happy." Says Mei reading the note over again.
"Can you simplify the note?"
"Well, basically if I just cut out the...creative words...it'll be easier to understand."
"Have that note by my desk within the hour."
"Already done teach." Says Mei holding up her phone.
"Good you work fast, the rest of you, we're doing something different from what I had planned today." Says Aizawa as he presses a button he had and suitcases pop out of the walls. "Get your hero suits on and meet me outside, Mei you're going to have to prepare a presentation for the HPSC president because of the info you've gathered."
"Yes sir." Says Mei saluting to Aizawa.
[HPSC president's office, a few hours later]
"So you're saying that these villains think themselves as heroes?" Asks the HPSC president.
"No ma'am you're misunderstanding me, I'm saying that you're facing beings of great power that are heroes in the digital world!" Says Mei.
"The digital world was created by humans for humans to exploit."
"Yes but with the invention of the internet another world was created from the data converging into another dimension!"
"You know nothing girl."
"No it's you that knows nothing, Sōbi, Setsubi, Digivolve."
"Right!" Say the Hagurumon twins as they begin to glow.
"Hagurumon digivolve to!"
"Guardromon/Mekanorimon!" Say the Digimon twins as they Digivolve.
"Wh-How!?!" Yells the HPSC president in shock.
"You have anti-quirk pulse generators in this room, my partners aren't human made, but made from the data about gears, now, what was it about me not knowing anything?" Says Mei smumglly.
