CHAPTER 1) I went to another world and all I got were nightmares

A groan escaped my lips as I began to open my eyes to which I noticed something, the ground beneath me was unfamiliar, hell my surroundings were unfamiliar as well and as my vision began to clear up I realized that I was on a roadside in the middle of nowhere. This rightfully made me freak the hell out and I checked to see if any of my organs were missing which from what I could tell they weren't so I guess that's one thing I should be happy about right now.

Taking a few minutes to calm down I got up using the tree behind me as support not noticing the slight indent left by my hand.

After what I guess was 30 minutes of walking (I was missing my phone and my watch was broken) I found myself in front of a sign welcoming people into a town called "Reefside" which seemed familiar but I couldn't place where I heard it before. Walking into town while contemplating where I heard it before when I found myself outside of the glass window of a store and noticed something downright strange, I peered into window trying to get a better look at my reflection and noticed that my face was clear of acne as well as my frame being akin to a athlete's and even weirder I didn't even have my glasses on. Needless to say I was freaked out but I had to move when I was holding up the foot traffic of the sidewalk, and another thing I noticed was that people used flip phones instead of smartphones and dressed like it was the 2000's and unless it was "Act like it's the 2000's" day

I really didn't like what I found myself in. Spotting a newspaper in a trash can I quickly fished it and checked out the date at the top, July 1st 2003. I threw the newspaper back in the trash as my mind began to race.

'Reefside, 2000's, where have I…'. It was like a fog had lifted from my mind and I knew where I heard the name "Reefside before". Reefside was the town where the events of a Power Rangers series took place, and now I was here without any help since I don't technically exist for another three years.

'Wait… I'm not totally helpless' because if my memory serves me right, Tommy Oliver lived here around this time and he would probably help me considering he was five different flavours of Power Ranger… well he would have been 4 different Rangers at this point in time but that's besides the point.

After an excruciating journey that took me several hours and multiple detours I finally made it to his house at midnightish? Judging by where the moon is in the sky at least. I then walked up the stairs leading to his front door and rang the bell and after a few minutes I heard some footsteps coming from the staircase and then the door opened. For all of my overthinking and daydreaming, nothing could have prepared me for this moment, standing there in all of his glory was Jason Davi- I mean Tommy Oliver looking miffed at having someone at his door so late at night so I gathered my courage and decided to be quick with what I had to say in order for him to not shut the door.

"Dr Oliver, My name is Arjun Singh and I need your help, more specifically the help you can get from a guy who gallivanted in colourful spandex during his younger years".

"Look I don't.." he began, but before he could go any further I interrupted him.

"You became the Green Ranger after tying with Jason Scott the Red Ranger in a martial arts tournament and catching the eye of an evil space witch, you then lost your powers because of an evil candle, getting them back, becoming the White Ranger, you then lost those powers and became the Red Zeo Ranger, got new powers and became the Red Turbo Ranger before passing it off to T.J Johnson". I said in a very short amount of time, I hope he got all that because I am not saying that again, but considering the look on his face I think he got what I was throwing down.

He moved aside gesturing at me to come in to which I obliged and was met with a semi-familiar interior, I only say semi-familiar since it's been a very long time since I've seen the show.

"Let's talk in detail" he said as he sat down on a couch opposing a miniature sculpture of a T-rex skeleton and if I remember correctly it was how you got into the headquarters of the rangers.

"And if you don't mind I would rather our talk be somewhere… more private" I said as I pushed down the jaw of the T-rex which caused some machinery to start up and reveal a hidden staircase and if my rambling earlier surprised him, he was definitely shocked now.

After a lengthy explanation on how I'm from another world and in my world his adventures were something children watched after school, something he took surprisingly well. He then said he would contact everyone he knew about sending me home, but for now he told me to get some rest to which I happily agreed. Laying down on the bed in his guest bedroom I closed my eyes and prepared for some blissful sleep. The sleep I got however was anything but blissful. Instead I dreamt of men dressed in scrubs cutting me open and this painful burning sensation akin to lightning dancing across my skin.

I woke up covered in cold sweats with the sun beating down on my face. I sat up and made my way to the door and proceeded to check every room on the second floor until I found the bathroom where I washed and dried off my face. I then made my way downstairs where I found Tommy working at a desktop with a cup of black coffee in hand. He proceeded to look over at me and noticed my sweat soaked hoodie.

"Hey, rough night?"

"That's putting it mildly"

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"Not really".

I decided to change the subject and asked if he heard anything regarding my arrival here.

The answer was no but he told me to not worry since Lightspeed Aquabase, The Space Rangers and Alien Rangers had only been looking since he asked last night so something should turn up soon.

"So what do I do now? I mean I could stay here but I would go stir crazy after a week, I mean I could go to school but considering I don't legally exist I don't think that's gonna work either".

"I know someone who could help with that, I'll call her and why don't have some breakfast in the meantime".

I shrugged my shoulders and began to wonder what my life here would be like.
