"direct your people right and those Chaldeans will not be an issue So what would you think? Deal?"

Sparks of light flashes on the ruin of Vale. A man at the beginning of his 20s stepped out first, followed by a woman carrying a towering shield, and a floating story book.
Seemed to him that he wouldn't have to fall 2 Km off the ground. Taking off his parachute bag, he looked at others who beckoned to do the same.
"Alright, Mash begin our connection."
"Yes, Senpai."
Looking around the man clicked a button of the bracelet on his hand which promptly opened a holographic projection.
"Da Vinci, this is Fujimaru Ritsuka. We successfully rayshifted into this singularity."
"Copy that, try to look around and try to find why this singularity is so oddly placed."
Ritsuka once again looked around at the place where he landed. The town was desolated with cracks and holes filling the roads. vines and moss had started to grown all over the outer walls of each building. The building itself appeared to be based on modern european architecture.
"Senpai, we have successfully calibrated and begun to send our data over."
Ritsuka nodded. It was at that moment, a tug could be felt on his sleeve.
"Hmm- Oh, Nursery? what's it?"
Nursery Rhymes was tugging his arm, She had successfully transformed back into her regular form of a pinkish-silver haired girl in a black gothic dress.
"Master, look! Look"
Nursery pointed into the sky.
Ritsuka followed by glancing at the sky. His eyes widened by what he had seen. The day is still in the midst of the afternoon, yet it was there, clear for everyone else to see.
"Senpai that's?!"
"Yes, the moon is- shattered and bigger. Are you seeing this, Da Vinci?"
"Yes, clear as day"
"Does this singularity have anything to do with this?"
The transmission was interrupted by another figure, Sion Eltnam Sokaris. The mage was responsible for the observation of Trismegistus II, the linchpin of proper human history.
"That's.. unlikely to be the case, if that's the case Trismegistus II would have sent you before or right at the eve of the moon's destruction. Whatever happened to the moon is not of our concern at the moment."
The transmission was turned into one of captain nemo's variants, the professor Nemo adjusted their glasses.
"Master, we have reviewed the data managed to gather and discovered that there's barely any matching roots to proper human history. Which could also explain why no servant could follow you at the moment, as for Nursery Rhyme's case we still don't have any concrete evidence at the moment."
Sweats trickled down Ritsuka's head as Da Vinci took over the video feed. Just before, rayshifting over he had been debriefed that most of the servants were unable to be sent over with him due to the singularity's constraint.
He's not a stranger to such a concept, however.
"until we have more disclosure of this singularity, we have to assign this singularity foundation value to Error."
Ritsuka sighed and wiped the sweat of his forehead.
"Just like Traum,.."
"Indeed, but at the same time it isn't."
The feed replied. Everything is just too different and we lack the information.
His thoughts were broken by Mash who rushed in front of him and raised her shield forward.
"Sorry to interrupt you, Senpai. but we have a situation on our hands!"
Ritsuka was able to quickly catch several steps rushing towards their location.
"Battle formation!"
The mysterious assailants appeared as they turned towards an alleyway in front of them. They appeared like large canines veiled in darkness. Their head is covered in a skull with bright red eyes staring directly at their target. There's six of them, all of which immediately rushed towards Ritsuka and Mash.
Mash waited up for the opportune moments before rushing towards them. Her large shield easily swept three of them to the air. Two of the thrown creatures crashed into the nearby building while the other one crashed directly into a car and dissipated a while after impact.
Mash noticed the other 3 canines had sneaked past her. They were blocked by Nursery who quickly lifted them upwards by gusts of wind. Another swipe with her hand engulfed them in flames coming from the ground.
Mash quickly regrouped with Ritsuka and Nursery. Her shield slammed one of the remaining creatures, eliminating it in an instant while Nursery caught the last one in ice. Sion informed them.
"Not good, More of them are coming. Retreat for now, You all are in the open!."
Ritsuka received the Navigation of suitable routes to go. Ritsuka commanded everyone to move. More and more sounds are incoming towards them from all sides. Several similar rough steps, flaps of wings, and one heavier thumper all combine into a dreadful orchestra.
He directed them into a narrower street with less incoming sound. Mash took the lead whilst Ritsuka followed from behind while carrying Nursery on his shoulder. They easily brushed aside the blocking creatures of darkness on their way. Yet despite running away for a quarter of an hour, the chase didn't stop.

"huff- They are still chasing us?! huff-" Ritsuka asked in bewilderment. They are cornered by a massive roadblock of a crashed truck. Their enchasers revealed themselves. Some of them were the previously encountered wolf-like monster with one having a noticeable bigger size over the other.s There's also a handful of the bear-like monster and a giant crow-like monster perching above the nearby building. There were around 30 monsters cornering them in place.
"Guess, there's no avoiding it."
Looking around, Ritsuka lifted his hand forward, increasing the mana flow on Mash and Nursery to increase their battle capabilities.
"Nursery, don't you think there's a spell to help out our numbers?"
"sure thing master, ah but I'd need mash to hold them for a moment.!"
Nursery opened her book, flipping them till she found the page and began her chant.

The group of wolf-like monsters began their attack. Yet their directions were gathered to Mash who slammed her shield on to the ground. She charged with her shield raised forward to meet them head-on. With a booster on her back pushing her forward, Mash managed to send several monsters flying.
{"Yes, all fairy tales are my friends."}
Clouds and sparkles began to swirl around to form myriads of objects. Dolls, characters, and items found in children's storybooks yet it's not what Nursery Rhyme was looking for.
Red gleams began to glow around Mashs body as she boosted her attack with [bunker bolt]. Several reinforcement monsters charged but were staggered by the tremor of the shield striking down the ground. She used the recoil to Vault herself upwards and kicked one of the monsters flying.

Another shield bass unintentionally threw several monsters to the next building, unfortunately several of which survived and passed Mash's blockade.
"Ah, senpai!"

{"Adult conversations are, perhaps, full of lies."}
The giant crow also chose to rise on to the sky, preparing its lunge downward. However, Ritsuka had already been looking out for its movement and raised his hands to aim at the beast head at the most opportune moment, which is now.
[Gandr]!
A lightning bolt gathered and shot directly at the flying monster causing it to be paralyzed and crashed down to the slipped off mobs below it.

A large purplish humanoid monster suddenly manifested beside Ritsuka. it looked around cluelessly for a moment before as if it was possessed, charged blindly towards the horde of monsters nearby.
Nursery turned the book's page again, supplementing the 'jabberwocky' with [Alice Eater]. Its body began to swell in size as its dark purplish skin was covered in a reddish hue and blue lines. Each of its limbs was covered with sharp bone fragments.
'the jabberwocky' obediently began obliterating the nearby monsters. Mash looked behind towards Ritsuka who nodded at her in reassurance. Most of the pinned monsters were restrained by Nursery's ice. Mash nodded back and continued dealing with the monster.
Plenty of monsters were immediately eliminated; several reinforcements of the monster's sides arrived yet were able to be handled by the combined efforts of Mash and Jabberwocky's direct confrontation. Ritsuka and Nursery would support from the side with magecrafts whilst keeping in check of the entrapped giant bird monster.
As the number diminished to a single digit, the largest canine- monster began its charge. It charged, juggled around the walls of the building. It leaped forward but was caught by the Jabberwocky. The two got into a stand still as one tried to overpowered the other.
Mash ran past the two and walked into a ramp to gain leverage. She spun her shield midair. The effects of [Bunker Bolt] had already diminished, yet just before contact she received [Reinforcement: All]. It reinforced her slam attack's impact as it landed. The impact created a powerful burst of shockwave that turned a handful of monsters into smithereens.
Didn't waste anytime she turned around towards the remaining monsters that tried to sneak on her.
"Huff huff, kuh"
Mash dragged her shield forward, ignoring several scratches that bypassed her shield's defense. She pinned the final monster, a large bear made of darkness. The push pined the bear into the wall as Mash plunged her shield's edge deep into its neck. Mash kept ramming until the bear monster dissipated into the air.
Looking back, she leaned her body towards the shield before slowly walking back to her group.

The monster and the jabberwocky were previously tied in strength. The Monster opened its mouth and tried to bite The Jabberwocky's neck. At that moment Ritsuka unleashed [Reinforcement: All].
The jabberwocky managed to overwhelm the monster's grip and allowed it to pin the monster into the ground. It opened its mouth for a roar and slammed the Monster with its head.
The monster staggered, clawing around trying to get up, yet it's all too late as its body was engulfed in flame. On its final gaze was the human male that was meeting its face with a curious glance.
Mash returned to the rest of the group. Nursery was eliminating the encased monsters including the giant bird with the jabberwocky's help. Ritsuka on the other hand was receiving a debrief of the monster's analysis result through the comms.
"..no metabolism which means no discernable heat and no spirit signature too. That's going to be hard to track. How about movement? It should be good for now, right?"
The hologram of Sion chuckled with a troubled face.
"Yeah it'll be Applicable (a Pain in the ass). still we managed to clean the area, so it should be fine here, for now~"
She playfully commented with a wink.
The feed was changed to Novum Chaldea's director, Goredolf Musik who Reiterates.
"For now, I want you all to find a suitable area for the night. I don't want to risk any of you fighting against that monster in the dark of night. The objective is still going to find any locals for information, but don't think there will be any in this city."
"yes sir, -"
Ritsuka looked up to find Mash was approaching him.
"Ah! good job Mash. sit down, I'll patch you up now."
Mash showed a slight smile and sat on the ground beside her shield as Ritsuka's [First Aid] began to heal her wound and fixed her gears which was made of spiritons.
Nursery returned riding on the jabberwocky's shoulder.
"Master, I have cleaned the rest. Did I do a good job?" she spoke in an excited tone.
"Yes, you did good Nursery!"
Ritsuka received Nursery from the grasping hands of 'the jabberwocky' as it began to demanifest.
"Hehe~"
The girl leaned closer to Ritsuka and Mash to receive hadpatts from the two of them.

The day soon turned to night as they took their refuge in one of the abandoned apartments. The town was engulfed in darkness as its infrastructure had ceased to work.
Everyone gathered in the room with minimal lighting so as to not lure any monster. Ritsuka had scavenged the nearby convenience stores looting several edible foods, newspapers, several folders, and a dying digital table clock he found left scattered in the manager's office.
Mash and Nursery looted a bookstore. It was partially scorched over but several history books, and literacy were discovered in a secret compartment in the backroom where the fire didn't reach. theres also a sack of what appeared to be local currencies.
Ritsuka was looking at the newspaper, the city was named Vale located in the Kingdom of Vale. And the last publication was almost a year ago during which there was an event called 'Vytal Festival'. He also found out about the monsters that they had encountered. They were called Grimm, and are the probable reason for the city's fall.
Mash was sitting reading a story book with Nursery sitting on her lap, eating from one of the scavenged prepackaged cookies. The story itself was called 'The Man With Two Souls'. She just finished its first chapter. She couldn't help but feel familiar towards the book.
"Alright, everyone let's gather for a debrief" The communication feed of Da Vinci notified everyone to gather for a video conference.
"As everyone else had gathered, this place didn't match anything resembling earth, typographically nor historically-"
The projections turned to the map of the place they had landed, the city of Vale. The map later zoomed out to the Kingdom of Vale, before finally zoomed out into the full map of the world, Remnant.
"thats certainly un-natural to the earths topology"
"Thus with that, I concluded. This place is an entirely different world, an 'Alien World' to be exact."
"Alien World.."
Ritsuka and Mash Muttered, Ritsuka arm unconsciously clenched his comand seals as Da Vinci continued.
"I don't know if this is the alien world that we are up against. Perhaps, The Count had thought it as a funny test drive before we fought the real thing."
"A sickening test drive at that."
An off-hand comment from the off screen caused her to chuckle.
"It certainly is Maomao, However, that's not our focus currently-. It raised a concerning factor that we couldn't use the servants coming from earth's throne of heroes yet fortunately Nursery can still be rayshifted."
Nursery Retorted.
"Da Vinci-chan I am not an Alien."
"I know nursery, but don't you see something different in your ability?"
"Indeed, Jabberwocky looks different."
She had taken full control of the monster in fear that it would harm her and others.
"I hypothesize that it would tied with their source of origin or any particularly powerful root of resemblance. Thus, we couldn't send any earth/historical servant over that doesn't have an equivalent into this world."
Mash looked confused.
"That doesn't make sense with me, Da Vinci. I don't think this world has its own Galahad/ Mash existing, won't they?"
"That's true. I suppose, the fact you are still a living human allows you to rayshift just like Ritsuka did."
Ritsuka remained silent there is something else that had been troubling his mind.
"..This scope is larger than any previous lostbelts we had handled. It may not be a grail or a tree of emptiness, what if it does not result in simply culling of the civilization?"
silence prevailed on the control room, until-
"Ritsuka, We are not destroyers of worlds. we have no initial intentions to destroy this world nor be complacent putting our world in danger."
Goredolf warned him back.
"We are here to eliminate any cause of the singularity and leave. as for other things- dont burden yourself with it. We will get there, once we get there."
'-do not to be afraid of what comes next. You are not alone.'
Ritsuka was shocked but reaffirmed with a small smile on his face.
"Yes we will, Director."

Ritsuka came with a thought.
"Da Vinci, if I can't bring anyone over- don't you think, is it possible for me to summon someone from here? Technically, this world had its own throne of heroes to summon from right?"
Silence remained both Da Vinci and Sion was slightly troubled. there it was, the impulsiveness that He has.
"That's, We thought as such but haven't managed to prove it concretely-" Every fact lined up. This world had its history, had its own legends.
"It'll be worth to try it on the field." Sion concluded. A notification was sent to Ritsuka's bracelet. It showed a set of coordinates somewhere on the edge of the city "That's where I've located the nearest leyline. But do be careful."
Ritsuka reviewed the map location by glancing from the window on the top floor towards the far edge of the city. For every reason and experiences He had the suspicion it was the towering building on top of the hill with a giant petrified dragon-looking grimm on the top.

Man, you know how long I wished to just say it was a Grimm?! The story will be loosely following the turas realta and mortality Stella route protagonist and servant system. The update will be slow and inconsistent (nervous giggle). Comments are always appreciated!
