Chapter 5

It was seven in the morning and Rukia was up when smelt breakfast cooking. She got up and went to wake the girls and get them ready for school. It was Monday morning and per her responsibilities, waking the girls up for school was one of them. She was quick to give the girls showers and put Hana creams on. They both grabbed their uniforms that Rukia assumed Oko had hand pressed and cleaned the night before. They were folded on the girls' night stands. Hana and Mia helped each other into their uniforms which Rukia thought was so precious. Rukia pulled Hana's hair into a ponytail and straightened Mia's hair out. Rukia told them to do a little spin and she couldn't help but take pictures and gush. She was a twenty-nine year old woman. Of course she got baby fever from time to time and at the moment her ovaries were kicking. Rukia walked out with the girls scuttering behind. While walking to the elevator Rukia saw Yumi stumbling out of her room wearing the same uniform the girls were wearing. Instead of a khaki skirt she was wearing khaki pants and a white polo shirt. Her hair was in that boyish cut and she was obviously not well. Rukia held the elevator for her. She simply stumbled into the elevator, her eyes were watery and she smelt like alcohol. Hana and Mia hugged their sisters' legs and cheered. Yumi put on a fake smile and glared at Rukia. When they got to the first floor Oko greeted them with a smile. Yumi pushed past him without saying a word and left the house without a word slamming the door behind her. Oko said nothing as he guided the girls to the dining table.

"Good morning Rukia, the girls look cute and proper. Thank you for getting them ready." Oko stated.

Rukia smiled, "Just doing my job."

They all sat down for breakfast. Oko placed a napkin on each of the girls and told them to eat. He sat down next to Rukia and Ran'Tao came in and sat next to Oko and started making her plate. Five minutes later Ichigo came in wearing a gray suit and tie. He had his bright orange hair slicked back and just looked all around appealing to the eye.

"Morning hope everyone slept well last night." Ichigo looked at Rukia with a neutral look on his face, "Rukia how are you enjoying the job and the house so far?"

Rukia looked at the girls with a beaming smile, "Best job ever! Hana and Mia have been nothing but sweet."

Hana smiled, "Rukie has been super fun. We went to the park and had a picnic yesterday."

Mia who was scuffing down her breakfast nodded saying they also went to the lake and had a lot of fun. Rukia giggled and ate her pancakes. She really did love Oko's food. Ichigo looked at his girls and gave a very very small smile. Rukia didn't even notice it. Ran'Tao cleared her throat causing Ichigo to turn to her.

"Yumi came in drunk last night. Ichigo it's getting-"

"Rukia fixed the girls dinner last night thank you." Oko cut off.

Rukia gave a small smile but knew something was going on. Once it was seven-thirty Oko stood up and grabbed the girls bags. They both stood up hugged their dad, Ran'Tao, Rukia and said their goodbyes. Oko walked them to the car, hugged them and watched as the car left. Rukia started picking up her dishes about to leave but Ichigo stopped her.

"Any plans ?"

Ran'Tao scuffed and got up to find Oko. Rukia cleared her throat; she didn't think she would have actual conversations with Ichigo. She knew she had to interact with him but she didn't think he would actually start the conversation.

"No, I'm probably going to watch TV and wait for the girls to come back." Rukia answered.

"Hmm well you know if you wanted you could bring some family or friends over here or you could go shopping. I'm sure Oko gave you the spending card and you have your choice of cars you can drive."

"Yes I have the spending card thank you and umm thank you for access to the cars. I'll probably make some muffins for my sister and her boyfriend and take them to her. Since we're so close to each other I can actually bring her things to munch on." Rukia gleefully stated.

Ichigo chuckled, "How many siblings do you have?"

"Oh I have two sisters and one brother. My younger sister and brother live in Karakura but my older sister lives here in Seireitei so it's nice to be able to make her goodies. My brother Shizuku and sister Homura always come to my apartment for fresh muffins and cupcakes or danishes. Hisana doesn't get to have fresh goodies so it's nice for me to be able to bake her something fresh and to be able to deliver it to her in person." Rukia explained.

Ichigo laughed, "That's sweet, it reminds me of my younger sister. I have three siblings as well. A twin brother and two sisters that are also twins."

Rukia's eyes widened, "Your poor wife if twins run in your family. Just wait, you'll probably have triplets sooner than later."

"Well I don't see that happening anytime soon since I'm a single dad. It's not so bad when you're rich it's' actually pretty nice being able to provide for them. I'm in no mood to start dating anyways. I have too much on my plate with my businesses and providing for my family." Ichigo explained.

Rukia nodded, "I commend you. All the businesses and still being a father I could never."

"Well you're a woman. Plus being a mother in my opinion is way harder. I saw my mother-"

"Ichigo! We must go. You have a meeting with…the other companies." Ran'Tao announced, "Oko already has the car and everyone is waiting."

Ichigo nodded and stood up, he looked at Rukia and bowed. Rukia bowed and said her goodbyes. Ran'Tao simply nodded and Rukia smiled to herself thinking she was making progress. Rukia yawned and thought about her conversation she had just had with Ichigo as she went to the kitchen to make blueberry muffins. They were Hisana's favorite. It took her an hour for her to make the muffin's to perfection. She put them in a container and had some out for security. Rukia had made two dozen muffins so she could afford to give some to the security. The security guards were wary of Rukia; she guessed it was because of past nanny experiences. Rukia went to change into a pair of blue jeans and a long sleeved black shirt that said chef's kiss. Her aunt had got her the shirt when she thought she was going to be a chef. Rukia accepted the gift happily and wore it whenever it was chilly. Rukia put her hair into a ponytail and grabbed her purse.

She walked out with the muffins in hand and walked around to the six guards. She started with Mizaki. He had cold black hair and a pretty face. He was very tall but lanky. He donned the same uniform all the guys wore. Black slacks and body armor covered by a black polo shirt. They had guns and wore sunglasses to block the sun. Mizaki looked at Rukia with a blank stare not interacting. Rukia grinned and skipped and handed a muffin to Mizaki. He gave Rukia a look but took it and bit into it. Even though he was wearing glasses Rukia could tell his eyes had widened as he ate the muffin. He scarfed it down quickly and gave Rukia a nod. Rukia smiled and walked to the fountain where Ginei and Tsukune were standing guard. Ginei had long black hair and a charming smile. He was always on guard more so than the others he stood ready and gave Rukia a bored look. Tsukune was by far the sweetest guard. He always had a smile on his face and his brown buzz cut was so adorable. He waved and let his guard down asking Rukia what she had.

"I made muffins! Blueberry I'm taking some to my sister and her boyfriend but I made a lot so decided to share."

Rukia handed Ginei and Tsukune a muffin. Ginei crammed it down his throat but Tsukune savored the muffin. They both looked at her. Ginei had a look of satisfaction on his face and Tsukune couldn't help himself. He hugged Rukia.

"Holy shit this is by far the best muffin I have ever tasted. You have a gift, did you make these from scratch?"

Rukia snickered, "What other way could I have made them?"

"Marry me!"

Rukia laughed while Ginei couldn't help but chuckle. Rukia bowed and thanked Tsukune and Genei and walked to the garage where Fang was waiting. He had pure white hair and cold black eyes and a snaggletooth which is why she was sure his name was Fang. He looked intimidating but from how he interacted with the girls Rukia knew he was down to earth. Fang stepped aside and opened the garage for Rukia, not saying a word. Rukia waved and handed Fang a muffin. He sniffed it and took a small bite of it. He looked at Rukia giving her a nod of approval. Rukia smiled and went into the garage and picked the car she had last time. She knew the keys were by the car so she grabbed them and drove to the gate. Takoa, the guy who stopped her family the first day she arrived, was giving Rukia a look. Rukia smiled, his hair was still as blonde as ever and his guard was up. Rukia knew she could tease him.

"Takoa made some muffins, do you want one?"

Takoa scuffed, "Is your sister going to yell at me?"

Rukia snorted and handed him a muffin. He took and ate it happily. He stared at Rukia for a good minute and then cocked his head to the side.

"Marry me, I can handle your sister's horrible attitude if you bake like this."

Rukia rolled her eyes, "What is up with you and Tsukune wanting to marry me?"

Takoa glared, opened the gate and then immediately started running to where Tsukune was. Rukia was laughing at the others' antics; they were pretty cool when they loosened up a bit. As Rukia went through the gate she saw the last guard Kamado. He had jet black hair and a cold stare. He always looked ready for a fight. He was a big burly man. He looked like he could break a man's back in one snap. He was by far the scariest. Rukia liked him the most she could tell he was a good guy plus she would hear him talking to his wife and kids. Rukia handed the man a muffin with a smile. He happily accepted it and ate it. He gave a thumbs up and Rukia was on her way. She drove to Byakuya's company. It was called Kuchki's. Rukia thought it was pretty uninventive but hey who was she to question a company's name. Rukia found a parking spot in the garage and walked to the lobby. The walk was ten minutes. It was nothing to her; she had to walk miles and miles before for interviews; a ten minute walk was a cakewalk. She walked to the lobby with muffins in hand and she had a smile on her face as she walked to reception. The lady had a sweet smile and a welcoming presence. She had pretty reddish purple hair and a cute black sweater outfit. She gave Rukia a strange look when she finally looked at her.

"Hisana? I thought you were headed to the meeting?"

Rukia sighed, "I'm Rukia Hisana's sister. I bought muffins. Would you like one?"

The lady nodded a bit shocked, "I'm sorry I didn't know Hisana had a twin."

"Well we're not twins umm is she busy?"

The lady shook herself out of her trance and smiled, "Well if you go to the seventh floor you should just catch her. has a meeting that she must be in attendance for, you should be able to make it."

Rukia handed her a muffin and then scurried to the elevator to go to the seventh floor. She saw a miniature lobby and she looked around and started searching for her sister. She huffed and decided to do the smart thing and call her sister. She wanted to surprise her but no she just had to be busy. Rukia called twice and when she didn't get an answer she decided to go on a mission to find her sister. While walking she bumped into an auburn haired woman.

"Ouch you fucking- Oh Hisana I'm so sorry did I hurt you."

Rukia frowned and brushed herself off, "Rukia my name's Rukia."

The auburn woman frowned, "Excuse me?"

"My name's Rukia not Hisana, I'm her sister." Rukia answered not so politely.

She had no idea who this woman was but she already didn't like her. The girl glared at her. She was much taller than Rukia but she wasn't scared. She looked stuck up and pretentious. Nails were done and too long for her and her boobs were out on display and she was wearing a rather short jean skirt and black button up shirt with heels. She got in Rukia's face and Rukia stood her ground.

"Listen here Hisana jr-"

"I said my name was Rukia!" Rukia shouted.

"Do we have a problem here Rangiku?"

Rukia saw the auburn girl stiffen and then turned to bow. She glared at Rukia as she left. Rukia glared back surprised to see Oko wearing a gentle smile on his face.

"Rukia, may I ask what are you doing here?"

Rukia gave Oko a smile, "Hi Oko I'm here to drop off some muffins for my sister Hisana."

"Ahh you do look like her, I should have noticed it before."

Rukia smiled proudly because her sister was so popular. Rukia gave Oko a muffin and smiled as he thanked her.

"Hmm now then I must be going Ran'Tao I'm sure is being a menace and I must be there for her and Ichigo. Though I must say I hate meetings." Oko stated.

Rukia laughed, "I understand that meetings irritate me too."

"Well then I saw Hisana in Byakuya's office go straight and make a left at the end of the hall." Oko stated.

Rukia bowed and thanked him and then gave him two more muffins saying they were for Ichigo and Ran'Tao. He thanked her again and then turned to head to the meeting. Rukia followed his directions and there was the office. Rukia didn't want to knock but she knew it was technically Byakuya's office so she knocked and waited until she heard Byakuya tell her to enter. When she opened the door she was greeted by a stoic Byakuya and an annoyed Hisana. HIsana visibly lit up seeing Rukia. Rukia smiled and hugged Hisana and presented her with the muffins. Hisana squealed and hugged Rukia once more.

"Blueberry?"

Rukia gave Hisana a look, "Duh your favorite."

Hisana cheered and took a muffin out savoring each bite. Byakuya stood up and bowed. Rukia did the same. She was not close to Byakuya but she tolerated him for her sister's sake.

"I made the muffins for you as well Byakuya. I hope you enjoy them."

Rukia decided to hug her sister once more and then leave but Byakuya stopped her and to be quite honest it surprised her and Hisana.

"Hisana says you're the nanny for Ichigo Kurosaki. I just wanted to let you know if anything happens or you don't feel safe. You are always welcome to stay with Hisana and I at our condo."

Rukia was taken aback she was stunned to say the least. Rukia thanked him and Hisana gave Byakuya a loving look. Rukia left saying one last goodbye. After she left the building her day was pretty much uneventful. She bought more baking supplies and hurried back to the mansion. It was around twelve in the afternoon when she got back to the house. She said her greeting to the security guys, unpacked her supplies and then went to watch TV. Everyone had gotten home around three just in time for Oko to greet the girls and get dinner started. Once it was five Rukia gave the girls baths, did their hair and had dinner with the usual lot. Per usual Yumi would leave out and make snide comments. Once it was time for bed Rukia tucked the girls in and decided to do something nice for Yumi. She assumed the underage teen was probably going to get drunk again that night so she sat a muffin and aspirin at her door with a note saying enjoy. Rukia went to sleep the moment her head hit the pillow and she was out the whole night. The next day Rukia did her usual routine. She got the girls ready for school, had breakfast with everyone and then watched the girls leave for school. Ichigo went to his study and Ran'Tao followed close behind and Oko cleaned up breakfast telling Rukia to enjoy her day. Rukia decided on a chill and relaxing day she was just going to watch the cooking channel and veg out. Once Rukia got in her room however she was caught off guard by a pissed Yumi she tackled her to the ground and held her at knifepoint. Rukia's eyes widened as she stared at the knife so close to slicing her throat.

A/N Spring break! Updating like crazy I'm going to try to push out two more chapters for this. If you read the parent life note then skip this. Basically I am going to try and update as much as I can. It takes a lot out of me and I really want my stories to be perfect. I edit and make the chapters alone. It's a lot and so I know my stories will never be perfect but I do try. Please comment and review and I want to thank everyone who follows and likes my stories. I really appreciate it.
