In a meadow, two demons were fighting each other. If you just look at, you'd think they were trying to kill each other, but if you consider how hard it is for a demon to die. It is obvious that they are just practicing. A short distance away, there was a Samurai watching the fight closely. After a while, a deep voice stop the fight.

"Yano! This is a practice match, practice fighting in close combat. You won't always be able to kill a Demon Slayer before he gets close to you."

The two demons stopped fighting and turned towards their master. "But my Lord. You have trained my archery skill, no man can stop my arrows, dodge Yashin's spears or survive your attacks. Why should I train for something that will never happen?" said Yano, who believed in every word.

The samurai didn't answer right away, creating a silence that led the demon brothers to believe that they had done something wrong. Before Yano could ask for forgiveness he answered. "Yano, I understand what you're thinking, but you must never underestimate your opponent. Don't forget that most demons don't die to the Sun or the Lord, but to the blade of the Demon Slayer."

Yano wanted to disagree, but he knew that his master is right. But in his heart, he can't see it happening. Demons are better than humans no matter how you think about it. He knows they has swords and techniques that can help them kill a demon, but Yano couldn't believe that. For against humans, he will always win, it's useless.

I'm useless.

Yano was sitting on the ground, his body had grown back, and he saw the end of the fight when his master lost his head. He could jump in at any moment but he never did. Why? Because he knew it didn't matter. The humens... Izou and Rengoku, were so much stronger than him that if he tried to help, he would just be in the way. He saw the looks, they looked at him, they knew he was there, and gave him no chance to attack. His only hope was his master, and now he's, no, she's dead. After she was accepted by her mortal enemy.

Yano looked down at Mukago's head, a beautiful smile on her face while she disappeared into the wind. Yano didn't know if he'd seen her smiling before, or being so pleased.

He looked up and saw the two bloodied wounded swordsmen walking towards him. If it was anything else, he'd think it would be a good idea to kill them, but even as they are now, he knew he didn't stand a chance.

"So... Are you going to die like that?" Izou asked.

"Eh?"

"Are you going to die like that, down on your knees, give up on the fight a long time ago?"

Yano stood up, a bow was created in his hand. I am a Demon trained under Lord Mukago. Only the best of the Demon Slayer can defeat me."

Before a fight started between them, Rengoku put his arm in front of Izou. "Young Izou, between the two of us, you are the one who is most injured. I wouldn't recommend taking on another opponent right now. Also, can I get my katana back?"

Izou looked at the sword in his hand and it looked like he just realized now that it wasn't his sword. He silently moves his hand with the katana towards Rengoku. "And here's yours," Rengoku said, holding out his hand with the broken katana towards Izou, but before Izou could tack it, the sword was covered with cracks and a second later the sword fell to the ground in a thousand pieces. Only the sword handle was left.

" Yeah, you owe me a new one"

Rengoku blinked twice before answering." But it was already broken?"

"It didn't have cracks before you used it as a hammer. I could still have used it as a was before I could get my hands on a new katana."

"I don't see anything wrong with that logic. Well, I'm going to get you a new weapon, one that can kill demons too. And speaking of demons." He turned to Yano. "I have one last worthy enemy in front of me."

Yano put his hand on his bow string." And I am yano, the demon archer, who pierces the heavens. Feel and flee in fear of my most powerful attack."

Yano took all the blood he had in the arrow, because he knew it was now or never. The arrow began to burn, the fire spread to the bow and his arms. Rengoku responded by taking a deep breath and preparing to do the first form of Flame Breathing. It felt like the air started to burn up with what the two worriers were preparing to unleash on each other.

Due to the fact that one of Izou's lungs is still collapsed, he coughed and Rengoku and Yano took that as their signal to start. The air burned up and the ground burned as the blazing arrow flew through the air. Rengoku, as if it wasn't an attack that burned everything in its way, defended himself with a Fourth Form: Blooming Flame Undulation. The arrow disappeared into the night sky. Then he followed up with an Unknowing Fire and decapitated Yano. The last thing he saw was his arrow exploding in the air and lighting up the sky.

Mukago, Yashin. I hope you're not too disappointed with me...

And with the memory of his brother and sister playing when they were little, he disappeared from this world.

The sun had begun to rise, Rengoku with the help of a talking bird that surprised Izou had called for help. When the sun was up, there were people in black cloth from the Demon Slayer Corps called Kakushi. They helped the wounded and the ones who was trapped under the destroyed houses, but what surprised Izou the most was-

"Hold up, what you're saying is no one died at all? No one who was hit by the two beams that went through the village, or by the houses that fell under the beam attack? Are you sure that no one was burned into nothing and nothing was left of him?"

"Yes sir Izou".

"Just call me Izou, I'm not an important shit or something."

"Um yes, we've checked with everybody, no one has disappeared. There are some wounded but no dead."

Izou could only look skeptically at the young man in the black uniform and think. Huh, I can't be that lucky, I guess it was the Rengoku guy's luck that did this. Damn he and his over E Rank Luck.

"Ah, young Izou, I see that you look better. You were amazing in the fight with the Lower Moon Rank Four, Mukago. Really one of the toughest opponents I've ever faced, I think even my father would have had problems with her… him?". Rengoku paused and tried to remember what The Lower Moon pronoun was.

"Yes I'm better, there were no wounds that could hole down mi-AH!"

Izou stopped when the woman in black clothes slapped him on the head, and then she started to scold him out. "You're good? You've got injuries all over, you've almost run out of blood, and your old wounds have opened up again!" She turned to Rengoku. "Did you know he had a broken arm all the time? This idiot decided that fighting a Lower Moon with a broken arm was a good idea."

Rengoku's face showed both amazement and disbelief. "Is that true?"

"Yes, I broke it in a fight a few days earlier. Don't worry, the stick that held the bones of the arm together didn't break during the fight." Izou was hit on the head again.

"A Stick! What about the shock waves from the attacks?! It can worsen your injuries even if the stick is intact!" The Kakushi continued to complain about Izou, but before his patience ran out, Rengoku asked him a question.

"Ah, that's something I wanted to ask you about."

"What?" asked Izou, the Kakushi kept complaining about him, but they ignored her.

"Where did you learn Flame Breathing? I saw you use it once, but you collapsed afterwards and didn't use it any more."

"You taught me."

There was silence between them, the two swordsmen and two Kakushi sat there waiting for an explanation.

"Uh! Rengoku, did you train him?" asked the male Kakushi Izou spoke to earlier.

"Um, no. I've never met young Izou before. Um, Izou I think you've mixed me up with someone else."

"Nah, I just copied you," Izou said. Prepare to enjoy their reaction to his talent.

"Um, what exactly do you mean you copied me?"

"You did that Flame Tiger, so I copied it, but you did some weird breathing thing and my lungs collapsed."

"Idiot!"

"AH!"

The female Kakushi hit Izou again. "Do you know how dangerous that is?! We're going to have to operate to fix it!"

"Yes yes, take it easy. It's not like I'm going to go fight right now."

"Is it because your sword is broken?" asked Rengoku, pointing his thumb behind him, where a Kakushi was sweeping up what's left of Izou's sword with a broom.

"No, I just need to heal my wounds, I already fixed a new weapon." Izou picked up the sword behind him that everyone had missed. But when they saw it, the two Kakushi took a step back because of the bloodlust the sword had around it.

"Is it..? Shouldn't it have disappeared with the demon?"

"No, it was still there, it was probably like this before she got her hands on it. It's a Muramasa, they are not known for being friendly swords."

"A Muramasa! Don't they make you mad and can't put the sword in its sheath until the sword has tasted blood?"

In response, Izou pulled the sword out of the sheath, and the two Kakushi jumped back as the bloodlust increased. But before the male Kakushi could call for help, Izou put the sword back in the sheath and the bloodlust disappeared. "You only lose control if you let the bloodlust take over you," Izou continued with a bloodthirsty smile. "But if the swordsman's bloodlust is stronger than the Muramasa, the swordsman won't have a problem at all."

The two Kakushi took several steps back. Now only Rengoku was close to Izou.

"I see... Are you sure it won't be a problem?".

"The only problem is I won't be able to kill them there Und-. Demons, but it hasn't been able to stop me so far".

"Hey, I was wondering something." Rengoku started to smile with a warm smile like the sun on a nice summer day. "Do you want to join the Demon Slayer Corps?"

"Heh, why would I join it?"

"We may need someone with your level of skill. Who apparently could mimic me after just seeing it ones. Also, you can learn Flame Breathing properly. We're also going to give you a Nichirin Katana."

Izou looked like he was thinking about it. " Nichirin is the swords that can kill demons?"

"YES!"

"Um... I have to say that your offer is very tempting. What do I need to do if I'm a Demon Slayer".

"Slay Demons and protect the innocent. Also you need to go through Final Selection as most people who are looking to become members. From what I've seen, you won't have any problems with it. I think it's going to be soon." Rengoku turned against the Kakushi. "Miss, when would the next Final Selection be?"

The two Kakushi all of a sudden looked very uncomfortable." Um, you see...Um, the last day was today..."

The two swordsmen looked at the female Kakushi, which made her very nervous. But luckily for her, Rengoku broke the silence. "Ah, it looks like I'll have to talk to Oyakata-sama about making you a Demon Slayer".

"Yeah, fuck this". Izou stood up and grabbed his new Muramasa and started walking.

"Uh, where are you going?"

"Somewhere where I can cut someone. Preferably a demon. I'm not just going to sit here and wait for someone to give me a permit to kill demons."

"You're still injured!" The female Kakushi who had been taking care of Izu's wounds suddenly got her confidence back and ran up to him and hit him on the head. As if it was the last straw, Izou stopped, and fell to the ground unconscious.

The two Kakushi and Rengoku looked at the unconscious body and tried to comprehend what happened. With Rengoku being the one who reacted first. "Wow Miss Kakushi, you have a powerful fist there. Have you ever thought about using your talent to Slay Demons?" said Rengoku in an attempt at a joke.

But for the female Kakushi, it flew over her head. "Wha-no, I didn't- I, It didn't meant to-Um, what?"

"Err, what happened?" Izou opened his eyes and saw an unfamiliar ceiling. After a quick glance around and saw that it was a room. It had some other empty beds in a row that showed he was in a sick room. And one of high quality too, all for himself. "HEY, IS THERE ANYONE HERE?!" But what Izou wondered was where he was.

A few minutes later, someone walked into the room, and it was someone Izou recognized.

"Ah! Young Izou, I see that you are awake." The Flame Hashira walked into the room, the warm smile on his face.

"Oh, it's you again. Can you tell me where I am? And where is my sword?"

"Oh, this is a recovery base for injured Demon Slayers. They brought us here for our injuries," Rengoku said, pointing to his leg that was covered in bandage. As for his sword... A couple of the more fateful Kakushi threw it into a temple nearby because of it's Evil Aura... I have a feeling it's not going to work."

"Ah, yeah. I guess I'll have to take it on the way out." Izou was about to try to stand up from the bad, but before he could do it, Rengoku said something interesting.

"I want to help you train. I saw you using my Total Concentration Breathing, but your body couldn't handle it. With your action, you can really become an amazing Demon Slayer. So I want to help you get a body that can keep up with your techniques."

Oh shit, he's right. I haven't trained my body anything more than to swing my sword around my opponents. I'm not much stronger than a normal person, I can't even use some of the more powerful techniques that I've been gathering. If I could use one of the Noble Phantasm techniques, all of this would be a lot easier. yeah, I've let my skills carry me for too long, now it's time I get a body that can do this job that I'm here for.

Izou turned to Rengoku with a smile that most people would be scared of, but Rengoku has already learned that it's his own I've won smile. "When can we start?"

And cut.

Ok, let's start with Izou's body. In Demon's Slayer, he's physically weak, but has a skill level so high that it makes it not matter. But the most important thing is that he can't use the more powerful techniques. That means all the Noble Phantasm he's copied.

Now why Izou can't kill the demons. Demons Slayer Demons are a lot like Heroic Spirit Swordmasters from Shimosa. Miyamoto Musashi inflicted mortal wounds on Heroic Spirit Swordmaster Houzouin Inshun, but was unable to kill the him. She was only able to do so thanks to Senji Muramasa give her a katana who reached the conceptual realm of demons.

I'm going with the similar logic that Izou can't not reached the conceptual realm of demons on his own and needs the help of a sword like the one Miyamoto Musashi got. Unfortunately, the one Izou has right now is not at that level and can't reached the conceptual realm of demons. But a Muramasa is a Muramasa.

This is the last chapter on this story for a while. You can watch my other story if you want and if you see something interesting, but for now.
