I Don't Own Fnaf
As nice was it would have been to be able to be given a break after the frankly bordering on terrifying night Mike had, he wasn't given a break as the second he stepped through the doors of the pizzeria, he was instantly accosted by a familiar but exhausted looking Fritz. Mike had the faint concern that the man had stayed out here all night before noting in a tired sort of way that he was wearing a different shirt. So at the very least he had gone home at some point.
"You're alive" Fritz seemed genuinely surprised, Mike managed a half smile, it was about as fake as could be, but that was fine, all his smiles usually were.
"It would seem so... you should probably call the day crew in early if you can, the gang made a mess when they were looking for me" That really got Fritz's attention, looking at Mike like he had grown a second head.
"Looking for you?" Mike just shrugged, to tired to really want to explain just what happened in all it's details, or at all really, so instead he paraphrased.
"Ran out of power, I spent the last half hour running around and hiding"
"How the hell are you alive? The mask?" Mike snorted at that.
"The mask didn't help against any of them expect Foxy, I bunkered down with the captain for the last ten or so minutes" Fritz shook his head instantly.
"Can't be. The mask trick is the one thing that doesn't work on Foxy, it never has" Mask trick... Fritz clearly knew about the facial recognition thing then, that would have been a nice tip to give the night guards wouldn't it? Then again, it was clear that it only sometimes worked given what happened last night, but that also couldn't be common either could it? Clearly last night was the worst it's gotten, or at the very least close to it from the warning the same man gave him before his shift. In the end Mike just decided to shrug it off, it really wasn't that important as another thing his tired brain finally caught onto.
"What do you mean? I mean, I didn't exactly give the others time to test the mask out, but they were chasing me with it, Foxy just watched me for a bit before leaving me alone" Fritz shook his head.
"No, Foxy is the only one that's never worked on, he always knew, it never made sense either, but he always knew" Mike frowned before looking down at the same mask he had crammed under his arm. That... made no sense, logically, but then again when had logic ever given him a break?
"Maybe the kid in there likes me or something, I don't know. Can we talk about this later?" Fritz did not look amused at that, but he wasn't the one that had been playing hide and seek for six hours straight on nightmare mode.
"You're the one who said you'd explain the kids comment. I want answers Schmidt" Mike actually let out a huff of laughter at that, but it was quickly masked over by anger, not his normal almost blinding temper, thankfully, he was to tired to dig up that much energy, but something approaching it.
"Like you're the only one. From what I've been told you're the kind to just stick your head into the sand and hope for the best right? Who the hell cares if those kids are trapped in those damn broken suits as long as Fritz gets to go home in one piece right?" Mike glared down at the man again, but just like before it didn't get the right reaction that normally did, Fritz did flinch, but not out of being scared, out of... something else Mike's tired brain wasn't in the right state to figure out. Finally Fritz just said back.
"No one knows about the kids alright? I mean, I'm sure some figure it out, and it's basically a freaking open secret to anyone in higher management or who's quit the night shift that those things move at night, but no one's got to the kids" A determination flickered to life in his eyes as he moved forwards just a bit, staring up at Mike with a startling amount of energy, "So how the hell do you know about them after a single god damn hint?"
Mike wasn't easily intimidated, he honestly still wasn't that scared of the animatronics even now, he wasn't sure he ever had been, and after the last few years of his life, it took a lot to really get him put off, last week not withstanding, no one could truly be prepared for something like this. Still, it said something that Mike actually felt wary as he looked down into Fritz's sharp eyes, but that also could have been from the exhaustion.
It was a stupid decision, but Mike wasn't the only one here looking for answers now, and while it was clear that Frtiz probably just wanted to know how Mike figured it out so he could go back to living in peace, that wasn't an option for Mike, he needed to know. Nothing had changed, the stakes just got a bit more real for him after last night, and that's what made him his decision as he finally spoke up.
"I'll tell you, but you're going to have to tell me some things as well alright? I'm not just going to drag my own shit into the open without something being put up in return, deal?" Fritz paused, a look of something passing over his face before finally the determination lit back in his eyes as he finally nodded.
"Deal"
"We'll talk in a bit, give me your phone number, I'll call you after I wake up from sleeping off this living nightmare, then we can talk about all we know" He didn't seem to like that to much, but finally nodding, pulling out a piece of paper and a pen and managing to get his number down quick enough that Mike was on his way back to the couch he was looking forwards to passing out on.
This felt dangerous, opening the gates to Fritz knowing anything about Mike, not to mention something like what he was going to have to talk about, but he didn't really have a choice if he wanted to learn more, then there was no one else around that would be as willing to give him answers. Besides all that, Fritz... there was something about him.
Mike wouldn't say he was a great judge of character, if he was then he probably wouldn't have nearly been sent back to jail so much from his so called 'buddies', but he could still tell that while Fritz obviously wanted nothing more than to hide away in the sand like he said to the man himself, he was invested in all this in a way that reminded Mike of his own situation. And that wasn't exactly something that was a good sign most of the time, but at the very least, he knew that out of the two of them, Fritz was the one with the most to lose, and that meant Mike was still the one with power over the situation.
If it came down to it, Mike would do what he had to, to keep looking for the answers of what the hell was going on here while continuing to fix what had been broken in his family's legacy.
Of course, that didn't explain some of the new questions he had in his mind.
Why hadn't Foxy attacked him? Why were the animatronics so frenzied last night in the first place?
Was it because of him that they were like this? It had to be, he was the only variable that would cause all this to happen. One would think that if someone told them they were trying to help, you'd want to help that person out, not try to kill them even more.
Mike's head hurt, he really needed some sleep, so it was with that that Mike finally managed to get to the bus station before heading back to the Afton house to catch some rest before the headache of tomorrow could truly begin. He was already not looking forwards to it.
The sleep passed painfully quick and it only took Mike a minute to call Fritz from a payphone, another reminder of things that he really needed to get, burner phones weren't that hard to get, though the limited minutes would be a pain.
Either way, before long he found himself in a booth at some diner Fritz recommended as the two stared at each other for a long moment before Mike finally broke the silence.
"So, how are we going to do this? Twenty questions?" It was with a faint raised eyebrow though Fritz didn't seem to get the humor behind the attempt, instead saying.
"A question for a question? That way one of us can't just dash after the other spills everything without pay back" Mike frowned before nodding, yeah, that would work fine, even as he glanced around the diner, his eyes catching around at the people in there. They were in a back corner and had already gotten their food, it was very unlikely that anyone would over hear... He still couldn't shake the strange sense something was off, but eventually forced it away, it was just the situation making him wary.
"Right, then I'll suppose I'll go first, how did you figure out the haunting thing" Fritz instantly clammed up, it was almost impressive really how fast his face closed off emotions as he stared ahead at Mike. Mike just waited, he knew he probably started off with a big one, it was one of those things that kind of just ruined a conversation wasn't it? Mentioning child murder. All the same, it was clear Fritz was fighting for the right words as he said finally.
"I-... A friend told me, after an... accident, he learned about what was going on before getting away for a while" Mike frowned, that was entirely unhelpful, he was about to point that out to the man when instead he seemed to think it was his turn. It kind of was, but still.
"How did you learn" A small instinct to lie or to just be as vague as Fritz had been popped into his head, but Mike quashed it, lying right now would get him no where, more importantly, he had an in now with someone who knew how to work on the animatronics, while he did hold the most power from an outside view, he really needed Fritz to be strung along at least long enough for Mike to get what he needed.
"My brother, he's in a suit as well" From the startled look Fritz gave, Mike decided to clarify, if only a bit, "Not one of the four, he's... at an older location, he never left and I recently... I found him again" Fritz leaned back, a look in his eyes as he stared at Mike.
"It's- He's... not one of the toys right?" There was a wariness there, a hint of actual fear, not a lot, but enough to be more than noticeable on the man's face as Mike considered that, just long enough to let some pieces of a new puzzle continue to fill themselves out, as he spoke.
"He wasn't part of that line up, no" Fritz seemed relieved, only to quickly realize what he had done as Mike continued on, given it was his turn once more, "What friend were you talking about?" It seemed like pulling teeth for a moment, as Fritz took a long moment before finally saying.
"Jeremy, his name is Jeremy, he got hurt, bad, he's better now but does his best to... stay away from places with hauntings now" Mike had a feeling, more a gut instinct that something was being left out again, obvious enough of course, but for the time being he ignored it, allowing another piece to take shape but not filling out, instead letting Fritz continue. "What... Did he try to kill you as well?"
Mike grimaced at the question, it was loaded and Mike knew exactly just what Fritz wasn't saying but was getting at. It was almost surprising that the other man was trying to be tactful about it in any way given the two clearly weren't in this to get along. He finally guessed the dead brother haunting a robot thing was enough to earn him some pity. Mike wasn't sure he liked the idea of that in the slightest. He still answered.
"No, I doubt he would either if he could... He's broken down, bad, he can barely twitch much less do anything else. I got him a few voice box recently but he hasn't said anything yet" Mike didn't mention the fact that he could have sworn he was seeing the golden bear in the corners of his eyes occasionally, especially on his fifth night, he wasn't quite sure yet if he wanted to deal with more ideas of freaky ghost powers.
Fritz simply frowned before saying.
"He would, they all do, when you die like... that, violence is all the others could think about after, getting revenge on... someone, whoever it was. And he won't speak, they never do" Mike shook his head at that last comment.
"He will, he's tried before, or at least something close to it. The others... I don't think they know they can, my brother's... suit isn't as advanced, there is basically no programming in it like the others, nothing in there that effects him like those four" Fritz frowned.
"You think the programming has something to do with it?" Mike nodded immediately, fully aware they had given up on the back and forth, but it felt way better than Mike thought it would to just say any of this to a person who wouldn't immediately send him to a loony bin. It was freeing in a way that helped him not think all of this was to insane to even have an idea of what he was suppose to be doing.
"It has to right? 'Free roaming' is just the times when their programming isn't giving them constant directives to be on the stage and in entertainment mode. Can you imagine that, for years you can't do anything expect at night where you're only goal is to hunt and kill, while during the day you're blocked out of your own body and mind to fulfil a check list of codes? It's hell, if the kids in there are aware of everything I'd be... surprised to say the least" It was only a theory, but the only one that he had that would explain just why they were so... erratic and eager for a kill of any kind when they should be able to tell people apart from each other, to know who they should be getting revenge on.
The only real difference between Evan and the other four was that Evan's suit was just that, a suit, it had a few prerecorded lines and had a dance it could preform on stage, but that was the height of the spring lock suit's capabilities, they had been made two decades ago after all, and while advanced for their time, compared to the recent models, or even the original next set of four back in the day, they still had been eclipsed because of that one thing. how much they were programmed.
Mike could remember all the countless sleepless nights his father and Henry had spent in the office or their respective work spaces to work and figure out how to make those four the most advanced they could. That was the only difference between the two really, so that had to be the answer as to why Evan was so much more aware while the others... weren't.
Fritz leaned back after a second in the booth, his eyes flickering about like he was seeing something in front of him that wasn't there, as he thought over some things that Mike had said, before finally saying.
"So what... What do you want, knowing all of this? You already have your brother, why come to Freddy's and stay?" It felt... leading, the way he said that, Mike knew for a fact that he had been answering a lot more questions in recent minutes than Fritz had, but he also knew that he couldn't just let this rest, his only real lead at the moment, he had to make use of this.
"I didn't know about them at first, I can here to find out more so I could try and fix my brother. I thought someone had just messed with the four, but after you mentioned the incident... I can't just leave them like that, I can't just let them continue to kill night guards either, they want to try and kill people, that's fine if I'm the one in the line of fire, no one else. Those kids and the people who get suckered into working there don't deserve that blood on either of them"
"So what, you just decided to be a martyr for some reason? What's the point in that?" Mike frowned before looking away, trying to get his thoughts in order before suddenly saying, almost completely out of reflex to get his own feelings out of the line of fire.
"Why are you here? Why do you do any work on the four at all? Knowing what you do, why do you continue to do anything with them? Why not just lock their legs and break them slowly from the inside out" Fritz looked ready to keep pushing the issue but suddenly stopped, his eyes widening before a tight look came over his face, like he was suddenly trapped in remembering something he'd much rather have never experienced in the first place. Mike knew that look a bit to well.
Eventually Fritz just looked away before finally saying with a sigh.
"Because their kids... And I made a promise to someone"
"Jeremy?"
"Yeah... He... He wasn't the same after... Something happened to him that... It's unimportant, just he made me promise to at least look after them, of course I bailed on that right away but the damn company dragged me back in regardless and since I was already here..." Mike slowly nodded, before saying after a moment of forcing the words to get out.
"Same, sort of, I'm here because I know exactly what my brother went through, left alone in that horrible condition, I can't imagine what it's like for the other four. I don't even want to try. But at the very least I can work on helping them in any way that I can" It was more than that, it was about correcting the wrongs of both his and now his family's past, to try and redeem himself, because no matter how much time has passed Michael still wanted to try that more than nearly anything.
But he and Fritz weren't nearly close enough for Mike to just spill that out at him, he's never been close enough to anyone to have that much come out.
"So you got some damn hero complex and you're making it everyone else's problem" Mike simply shrugged, it sounded wrong, but whatever Fritz wanted to use to have him figured out. It was at least probably better than being called a martyr, no matter how much a voice in the back of his mind told him that one was probably more accurate.
"If that's what you want to call helping dead kids be able to have a some what comfortable afterlife, then I'm fine with that. Are you going to help or just continue to do your... 'maintenance' on them" Fritz flinched a bit at how lackluster Mike had said the word but it felt fitting given the man, while at least trying some what, was also trying not trying that hard, or at least not nearly as hard as Mike was sure he could. If he survived this long, then he should be able to handle more than what he was just letting himself do now.
The other man was scared, that was obvious enough, not everyone was willing to risk their life and future on a senseless bet that would seem ridiculous to anyone without context, but Mike really did need the help, as loathe as he normally was to naturally admit that, his pride was not that important to him when it acme to his brother, and now the other four.
"I... You know what the company will do to us? Those company contracts are basically NDAs, one wrong move we're not only canned but we'll be sued to all high hell as well" That wasn't a no. Mike pounced on that the second he could.
"I'm not worried, Fazbear Entertainment has been on the way out for ages now, this is the only location left right? I bet they are barely making enough to even pay the staff and keep the lights on given the amount we're both being paid. I give it another month or two at best before the place goes under. They don't have the power to sue us right now, it's why I got away with blackmail, they just don't have the power to fight against me when they're to busy putting out as many other fires as possible. But we can't just wait until it goes under either, because-" Fritz waved Mike off.
"I know, you don't have to say it, I saw it before with the toys, they'll be taken off and sold for parts or whatever the hell happened to those nightmare bots" Mike felt ill just thinking about it. He really wasn't willing to think to hard about what that would be like for a soul who stayed in one of those suits. To be ripped apart... He shook the thought off before it could get worse as he nodded.
"So we have to do something soon, fix them now and when the place goes under get them out" Now Fritz looked back to being shocked.
"What? And where the hell do you plan on keeping them? You got an extreme large closet around or something? The things are nearly seven feet tall and there are four of them, not to mention they'll still try to kill you nightly!" Mike nodded, he hadn't exactly not thought about all of this, well, that's kind of a lie, he hasn't liked to think about it, but that doesn't mean he hasn't. He wasn't just flinging himself into all of this without some kind of plan in mind. He was plenty impulsive, but he wasn't that stupid.
"We'll find somewhere, and they won't kill us when it closes down if we can get them to trust us. They only are trying to kill us both because they don't recognize we aren't the one who did this to them right? because of all that programming, those kids are probably buried so deep only their base impulses can get out after all those hours of preforming those damn songs. So we have to get them to the surface, limit the programming or something, get the kids back like my brother is, so they can at least be aware"
"That's insane, not to mention it isn't going to work! They only know how to kill, do you honestly think that just if they can think a bit more clearly it'll solve all of this? They only go after adults, once a kid was left inside at night, the night guard was the only one hunted still, they know enough to go after any adult they see, if they can be more awake all that's going to happen is they'll be even better at hunting you down!" Mike gritted his teeth before saying back, doing his best to not snap.
"I know that, but we have to do something, and it's clear that those kids aren't just murderous! You said it yourself right? Foxy is the only one not tricked by the masks, but he didn't attack me, he knew exactly who I was, but he didn't attack like the rest! I think... I think whoever is in him is more aware because he's the most broken down, his processors are probably barely functioning right?" Fritz slowly nodded, as Mike pressed the issue, "That means less code messing with the kid's head, that could be why the most aggressive of the four didn't kill me right?"
"I-... I suppose" Fritz looked more defeated than anything, but Mike kept pressing.
"And if that's the case for him, then what's to stop the others from coming back more? So what if they are more aware, I'm certain that's what it was last night and I survived didn't I? If I really need to, then I'll just hunker down with Foxy again" Something about last night still pinged as off in the back of Mike's mind, but he ignored it for the time being, instead staring at Fritz, before saying, quieter, more... desperately if he was being honest with himself, "Look, I can plan and speak and ask the animatronic to be as nice as I want until I'm blue in the face, I can survive a hundred damn nights in that building if that's what it takes, but I'm not an engineer or programmer, or technician alright? I have no idea what I could do to help them, I have no idea what to do to fix my brother, you're the only one who knows what's happening and can help, so... Please"
Mike almost felt humiliated at how his voice finally cracked, showing the stress and uncertainty he had been fighting for the last week as he stumbled through the dark to try to do anything, but the fact of the matter was, he couldn't do what he wanted. He was a freaking high school drop out, this was so beyond his level that he was an idiot for thinking he could do anything alone. He was probably lucky he didn't break something beyond repair in Fredbear when he replaced the voice box.
He had been silently pretending to himself that he had any power or control over all this, but all he was doing was flailing in the dark. Because Michael couldn't handle the thought that he was still useless, he still couldn't in all honesty.
"I want to see him" Mike paused, finally glancing up, though unsure when he had looked down in his shame, to the uncertain face of Fritz.
"What?"
"Your brother... I... I need to know this is real, I need to know that this is worth it, that those kids can really be save. If he's there like you say then... Then I'll help as best as I can" The man looked like he couldn't really believe what he was saying, but in the end looked mostly just resigned to what was happening, Mike managed a nod, thinking that over before finally saying.
"Tomorrow then, I need to go over there and... Make sure he's going to be ok with guests. Do you know where the old Diner is?" Fritz blinked, frowning for a moment before something seemed to click in the back of his mind.
"You mean that first place, before Freddy's was a pizzeria? It closed like a decade ago right?" Mike nodded, as Fritz finally nodded.
"Yeah, well, no, but I can get directions easily enough... He's there?" Mike slowly nodded, a thought in the back of his mind making him sick to his stomach as he pushed past it and said.
"He was... the first" Fritz looked vaguely ill as well, though he didn't know the context like Mike did, thinking his brother was the first to 'go missing' when in reality Mike simply didn't want to admit it was he who did it, choosing to imply instead Evan was the first to be trapped in one of the suits. Mike couldn't handle that conversation now, or ever. Not only would his past destroy any chance of Fritz working with him, he just really didn't want to think about it more than he already had too these days.
"I-... I'm sorry" Mike felt his gut roll at the thought of someone saying sorry to him for a loss that he caused, he forced a painful smile as he said.
"Could be worse... Well, not really, but it's nice to think there's some kind of silver lining to all of this" Fritz snorted at that, and it somehow helped to break the mountain of tension that had been building for the entirety of their conversation as Mike was left with his own thoughts as the two quickly finished eating before heading in their own directions. Fritz going who knows where, while Mike was heading out to speak with his brother.
Hopefully this time his would speak back to him.
Mike wasn't sure if the feeling building in his chest at the thought was excitement or dread.
Either way, he didn't have enough time to really process that, he didn't have much time to process much of anything if he was being honest with himself, but that was fine, he could keep this up, for as long as he could, and he had help now, a thought that normally would just make him wary, wondering how long it would take until the other person would throw him under the bus to be able to bail themselves out of trouble. But a small voice in the back of his mind, that usually wasn't the best to pay to much attention to whispered that Fritz was probably going to be as trustworthy a person Mike was going to be able to find in a situation like this.
Mike wasn't sure either if that made him feel better or worse about it all by the time he stepped through the back door of the abandoned diner.
Heading to the back was easy now, it felt like a routine, as he stared down at the shape of the still slouched over Fredbear, only... to pause as he looked a bit closer with a frown, he was in a different position, not by much, but the suit was more leaned back than before, had Evan tried to move? Moving closer, he leaned down to stare at the suit for a moment before quietly asking.
"You there buddy?" He wasn't expecting much, but thankfully he watched as lights flickered on in the bear's eyes, even though a faint shiver tried to roll itself up his back as they did. They were a... uncomfortable reminder of last night. "Hey... I meet someone today, he's going to be helping us, well... Not just us, the others to, the four at the pizzeria, I mentioned them right? They're like you, I think, just... Confused"
He didn't say anything, but that was fine, Mike didn't need him to, as he slowly stood up and moved around, he had cleaned around the area Fredbear was sitting so Evan wasn't in a pile of grime, so he set his bag down before mentioning.
"He's going to come by tomorrow to take a look at you, to... confirm somethings to make sure he's going to help me out I guess. Sorry I told you about him, but he's the one who told me about what was happening at the pizzeria so it felt only fair, plus I really need the help. I want to fix you bud, but I kind of don't know what I'm doing you know? No surprise there, but he's actually trained in this stuff, so at the very least he should be able to tell me what we need to do"
There wasn't a reaction for a moment, before there was a faint sound of movement, as Mike glanced back over and watched as the suit twitched for a moment, when finally the human felt his heart seize in his chest as a voice that wasn't his own spoke up.
"N-No" Mike almost wanted to rush to the bear and hug it, as silly as that sounded for such a first word, but instead he beamed a genuine smile, moving still quickly over, kneeling down to look into the bear's eyes again.
"H-hey, long time no talk huh?" The bear's voice was rough, clearly there was a reason the voice box he had found hadn't been in use, there was a clear filter of static filling the sound of the voice, but it was also almost painfully human at the same time. Evan didn't sound the exact same, not really, he sounded older, there was still a light lit to his voice was it was spoken more like a older teenager, it made Mike feel things that made the hurt in his chest ache worse than ever, the idea of his brother sounding like this if he had been given the chance to grow up springing to mind before he could fully ignore the thoughts, but he pushed past that as Evan continued to speak.
"No o-others" Mike frowned, just for a second before shaking his head.
"Hey, no, it's fine, I- I can't just magic you back together by myself, and Fritz seems trustworthy enough, we can at least get you back on your feet alright? Things are going to be ok" The bear began to shake as a loud crackling static burst from the bear's voice box as it cried out.
"NO! N-NO! Stay away. No help. Leave them!"
He sounded angry, Mike just frowned, the wording suddenly clicking into his head as he frowned as at least one puzzle snapped into place in the back of his mind.
"You know about the kids in the pizzeria" There was only silence, but the lights were still in Fredbear's eyes, it was confirmation enough, "You want to just leave them like that, why? How do you know about them anyways... Have you been... Have you been watching me?" That feeling of paranoia had never left Mike, but he had thought it had been nothing, just that, paranoia, but...
Well, frankly the idea that a ghost could stalk him was not the most ridiculous thing that he's had to deal with in the last few days, it was almost worryingly easy to push that aside and focus on something else.
"You've been trying to scare me away then, you were that phone call weren't you? How... I- I don't think I want to know actually, but you know then, what's happening there, what those kids are going through, what they are doing" There was silence for a long moment, before finally-
"Yes"
"Why don't you want me to help them then?"
"Yo-u'll make it worse L-Like always!" It was like a punch to the gut, to hear that from his biggest mistake, but Mike managed to keep himself under control, as he said softly.
"I'm the only one here who can do something Eva-"
"DON'T CALL ME THAT" A flash of something appeared in Mike's eyes as he let out a cry of pain as it felt like a sudden metal spike was being jammed through one of his eyes into his brain. it hurt like hell but he forced himself to blink past the agony as he stared ahead at the bear before gritted out at the suit of Golden Fredbear.
"I won't do nothing, I can't do nothing, not again ok?"
"You'll ruin everything! Like always" His head was still hurting, but Mike didn't bother caring, instead moving closer, looking into the suits eyes, ignore the pain in his chest as well at the accusation as Mike took in a deep breath, keeping his roaring mind calm before saying.
"Not anymore, not this time. I refuse. I know I can't make it all magically perfect, but that doesn't mean it can't get better alright E-... Goldie?" It felt childish, to say that to the suit, to his brother, but that's what Evan used to call his old fredbear plush so long ago, Mike never forgot, and if Evan didn't want to be called by his name, something Michael knew all to well, then he had to call him something, and Mike honestly didn't have anything else to use.
The animatronic suit seemed to shake for a moment, almost like shock if Mike had to guess, before the lights went off in his eyes. Mike finally just sighed, looking down at the floor again, a pained expression finally coming across his face before he forcifully shook his head, it was fine.
This would have to be fine. He stood up after that, saying to his brother as he collected his bag.
"Please be here tomorrow for Fritz, at the very least he can help fix you up. I bet it'd be nice to move around again on your own huh? Just... Give it some thought, and think about what those other kids deserve as well, not... not who's the one trying to make it happen" He didn't get an answer as he slowly headed out of the diner for the day, he had only woken up about two hours ago, and he already wanted to go back to sleep.
For now though he had a paycheck to cash in and a few things to get himself.
A phone was suddenly high on that list.
If he hadn't sworn off drinking before he ever started, then a few other things would have been pretty high up there as well.
Evan has spoken! Lovely conversation the two brothers had isn't it? Isn't interesting to plan out their dynamic given the history the two share, which makes it all the more interesting to explore and see how it moves on from here, and now that we have the ability for them to actually talk to each other, it'll be interesting to see how it expands from here. Beyond that Fritz might be joining the cause soon, that's pretty interesting cool, and the history of Freddy's is beginning to be explored a bit more which is fun cause world building is fun and it's about time we start diverting properly from the standard canon here anyways. See ya.
