I do not own Harry Potter or Hyperdimension Neptunia. They belong to their respective creators.
For why I created this when the other HP x Neptunia stories are going so well? Just feel like it. Also, the reason is probably in the summary or in this Prologue. And I need to throw this off before I overload myself.
Let's see how far this can go...
October 31st, 1981. The day when the people in Wizard World reached a temporary peace era.
Voldemort, one of the most powerful Dark Wizards since Gellert Grindelwald, somehow vanished away from the surface of the Earth. No one knew exactly what happened, but they knew a miracle happened that day. A miracle in the form of a one-year-old Harry Potter.
Known for cruelty and deadly spells, not many people survived fighting against the Dark Lord and his underlings, the Death Eaters. Not even Dumbledore, the greatest wizard of the modern time, would confront them directly unless it's a dire situation. The Potter's couple, unfortunately, was also his victim when Voldemort arrived to where they're hiding. With James and Lily's demise, he reached to his target, the little baby in his cage, pointed his wand towards and fired out his signature spell, The Killing Curse, thinking that the prophecy will be a waste.
However, the aftermath showed a different story, and thus 'The Boy Who Lived' has been casted on the sole survivor of the spell.
No one had the full story, but they didn't care, because the greatest risk of the world was gone, and they could happily celebrate that without a care.
But then, a new question arose: What will happen to the boy who just lost his parents?
The next nightfall. Before Number Four, Privet Drive
"You can't be serious, Dumbledore!" The words come out as quietly as possible, but they fully express the surprise feeling from the speaker. "You can't do that to him! I have been watching them for the whole day! They do NOT take us in any good terms! I saw their kid screaming and kicking his mother on the street just for some sweets! Harry Potter… he can't live here!"
"Unfortunately, my dear McGonagall, here's the best place for him." The old Headmaster of Hogwarts firmly replies. "I will leave a letter to them so they can explain everything when Harry is older."
"One letter wouldn't be enough." The Gryffindor Professor sighs and sits back on the wall she has stayed on for the whole day. "He will be a legend, Albus. Today will be written down as his day in the future. There will be stories about him, every kid will know…"
"And that's something I want to avoid." Through the half-moon glasses, Dumbledore's eyes flash out the seriousness in his words. "Do you truly believe that being famous from young age and from something he couldn't even remember would be good for him? Wouldn't it be better if he just grows up without those things until he's ready to take it?"
"…I suppose so." Minerva can see the logic in it. But still: "Can't you find a better home for him?"
"The people in that house are the only relatives Harry has left. They will protect the child."
"That… *Sigh*" The woman decides to not argue with the matter any furthers. Though, she starts eyeing the old man's robe and asks: "Where's the boy right now, Dumbledore?"
"Hagrid's bringing him."
Just in time, a rumbling sound can be heard from afar. The two wizards look up and down the streets to find any headlights, only for the sound to turn into a loud roar from above, so they look over their heads to see a huge motorcycle landing down the road and stopping in front of them. The driver, who is easily twice a normal being in height and five times as wide, gets off the bike with one of his arms holding a bundle of blankets.
"Ah, Hagrid, at last. Where did you get that motorcycle?"
"Young Sirius lent it to me, sir." The huge man replies as he lowers the blanket down so the two professors can see the little baby in it. "He fell asleep when we crossed Bristol."
"…Is that…" McGonagall notices a scar on the boy's forehead, looking like a bolt of lightning.
"He will have it forever."
"Couldn't you do something about it?"
"I could, but I wouldn't. Sometimes scars can be very handy. I have the map of London Underground within the scar above my left knee." Dumbledore then takes Harry in his arms and heads to the Dursley's House. "I'm sorry dear Harry. I hope the best for your future."
…
"Hope the best, he said. HA! What a joke!" Unknown to the trio, a divine-ish being is watching them from the start till the end as she scans through the history of this Earth. "These people are even more moronic than the ones back in that magic-revealed world! Well, at least it's entertaining."
When the trio leaves the baby behind and disappears away, the being finally gets out of her hiding place and heads to the blanket bundle where Harry is tightly wrapped in to avoid the cold of weather. Under the light before the house where he MIGHT live from this point of time, the figure's revealed to be just slightly bigger than him. What makes her completely off-set to all things in this road is that she has a pair of purple-blue butterfly wings behind her back and she's sitting on a book which emits some magic out of it.
She then pokes the baby's nose which makes him wriggle a bit before returning to his sleep. The girl sighs and says to herself: "You boy sure have a rouge future ahead, huh? Getting treated like trash here, and as a moral shield when you return to your parents' world." She then looks up to the scar where she feels a deadly curse lie within it. "That's what he left on you accidentally, huh? Even said Dark Lord can make mistakes."
She takes a second look back at the information of this Earth's history and thinks out loud: "Can't let you die here, that's boring. There are many worlds with that trope already. Telling them to rescue him at a certain point… eh, just your boring everyday Hero's story." She then mischievously thinks of a few certain people she can troll without getting too many backlashes. "Seeing them raising him up since the beginning? And the fact that it's NOT evil means that I can have the front seat seeing them struggle? The boy would also grow up being a different person… Alright, that's settled!"
"And that's what happened." The history-recorder laughs as one of 'them' sends her a murderous glare while the other is having steam floating out of her ears while having the baby in her arms. "Yep, the next ten years would be entertaining!"
"…If it's just another case of you messing with the world in a bad way, I could have just thrown you into Zero Dimension and locked you there."
"But it's not!" The tome laughs again as the person sighs. She then starts floating away while crackling: "Have fun taking care of him! And if possible, give him a sibling or so!"
"WE ARE NOT DOING THAT!"
That's the scream from the girl before the fairy teleports herself back to the Earth she took the baby from, and starts finding the weakened Dark Lord. "Now, let's see how you return back to your glory…"
So yeah, I decide to NOT say out loud who Harry will be with for the next ten years of his life. You can guess until the next chapter arrives :3
The ONE clue I'm giving you, is that not many stories use 'her' as the main factor of story.
Also, the focus of this story leans towards HP world more, though it can be changed when the story goes on.
Have a nice guess!
