"Where am I...?"wondered one Bruce Wayne, AKA The Dark Knight known as Batman, as he was free falling through a dark void, with seemingly no indication there was a bottom.
"How did I get...Oh...Yeah..."said the Batman to himself, remembering the events that brought him to this point.
He remembered deciding to follow Superman's lead and meet up with Brainiac on his skull ship, out of concern that the Kryptonian was possibly falling into a trap set up by the alien. Within moments he, The Flash, Green Lantern, and Superman were captured by Brainiac!
Within moments they were taking to another room where they were subjected to experiments, until they were completely brainwashed!
"I... I assisted in the invasion of Metropolis... I hurt so many innocent people...even though I was brainwashed, that is no excuse..."said Batman to himself, who wondered if he was going to hell for what he did in metropolis.
He knew in his heart he wasn't that person who hurt those people, who helped invade Metropolis, who helped betray Wonder Woman. But it was his body, his gadgets, and his strategic mind that helped Brainiac and his soldiers hurt so many people, before he was finally put down.
"Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark...The Suicide Squad...They defeated me in my own Batcave in Metropolis, even when I subjected them to fear gas...They took me to meet a Lex Luthor of another Earth...And he probed my mind in order to find out my contingency to beat Superman...Then, after Harley Quinn made a long speech about how I'm too good even when I'm evil, and how I freed her from the Joker, she executed me...not like I didn't deserve it."said Batman to himself, knowing that more than anything he deserved a bullet to the head for what he did, or brainwashed him did.
It's exactly what he would have wanted for what he did, while under Brainiac's control.
"Harley Quinn was right about one thing... I didn't expect her to be the one to put me down, but it needed to be done."said Batman, knowing that he deserved it after being so stupid.
Why did he allow himself to follow Superman's lead into the skull ship?
If only he tried to convince the Man of Steel that it was a bad idea, then none of them would have been turned and used as weapons against their own people, against Metropolis, and more importantly against planet Earth!
"The Flash got away, but I helped recapture him. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me, Barry, wherever you are..."said Batman, knowing that it was his fault that Barry Allen AKA The Flash was captured by Brainiac and brainwashed, which resulted in his death by the hands of the Suicide Squad.
"After all the good I did over the years, none of that matters anymore, as the legacy of Batman is always going to be remembered as someone who was brainwashed and used as a weapon against his own people. If this is indeed hell, then I more than deserve to be sent to the deepest pits with the Joker, since i. the end, I became no better than him."said Batman, ready to accept this fate of being damned in the underworld for the rest of eternity.
"Not as long as I breathe."said a mysterious voice that Batman did not recognize!
"Who said that?!"inquired Batman, wanting to know who said.
"I said that."said a firm voice, as some Golden light appeared a second later.
From the Golden light, Batman could see some kind of goat like creature inside of it, only it didn't look like any goat he recognized!
In the Golden light was some kind of a white, equine creature with an androgynous appearance. It resembles a qilin or centaur with a gray, vertically-striated underside. The striated pattern has similar recurrences on the underside of its mane, tail, and face. Its four pointed feet are tipped with gold hooves. Its long mane juts away from its head, and its face is gray, with green eyes and red pupils, and a green circular pattern below its eyes. The creature also has a streak of gold coloration on its head and ears that point upward. Its neck is fairly long, with two pairs of extrusions to the sides, and a flap-like feature on the neck's underside that is colored white like much of the body. The creature also has a golden cross-like wheel attached to its body by its round abdomen. The wheel also has four jewels attached to it. The pattern of striated gray of the creature's underbelly resumes past said creature's waist. Its limbs have gray undersides and extrusions at the tops of the legs. It's tail is fairly like its mane in terms of shape and coloration.
"Who are you?"inquired Batman, wanted to know who this individual in front of him was.
"I am Arceus. I am the Apha and the Omega. I have existed since the dawn of time. But from the place I am from, I am known as the original one; the alpha Pokemon."said the creature who identified himself as Arceus.
"What do you want?"inquired Batman, who is ready to float in this dark void for all of eternity for his crimes.
"I am here to make sure that Bruce Wayne does not end here."said Arceus, confusing the Batman.
"Why does a deity like you care what happens to a puny mortal like me?"inquired the Dark Knight.
"I will not allow a soul that is done so much good, and suffered so much end where you have ended."said Arceus, making Batman scoff.
"I deserve whatever is happening to me. I hurt so many people... destroyed the city, and hurt someone I cared so deeply about."said Batman, referring to Robin.
"That was not you, but the mindless puppet that belonged to Brainiac. Superman should never have trusted the invitation in the first place, nor should he have dragged you along to meet up with someone who is so obviously evil."said Arceus, who was not blaming Batman for his actions while brainwashed.
"But it was still my mind, my body, my plans, my gadgets used to hurt the people of Metropolis!"argued Batman, who feels like he deserved some kind of punishment.
"That. Was. Not. You! The people of Earth know that Brainiac puts you under his control, and the only way to stop you was to end your life too soon. The legacy of Batman will live on, not as the aid of a conqueror, but has the hero who saved Gotham City from its darkest hour time and time again."said Arceus before his eyes began glowing.
Batman's eyes began glowing as well. The reason the Dark knight's eyes began glowing, was because he was shown images of people rattling behind Batman, saying things how the real Batman would never have done the things he did! How Batman's legacy will not be tarnished by Brainiac! How pretty much no one blames Batman for what he did, because it was not him controlling his body!
"Even though I hurt so many people...They still believe in Batman."said the Dark Knight, who couldn't believe that people actually supported him, even though he did so much evil, while under Brainiac's control.
"Because the people are smart enough to know that that was Brainiac, not you. They know the real Batman would have rather died than continued being a puppet for Brainiac. Your a hero who has sacrificed so much just protect others, even those who didn't deserve it. You lost the one you loved, the home you grew up in, and even the anonymity of your secret identity, forcing you to fake your death for so many years. Batman, no... Bruce Wayne, you have suffered enough."said Arceus, who believes that is true hero deserves a reward for all of his heroism.
"What do you want? As you can see I'm clearly useless now that I'm dead."said Batman, wondering what the deity wanted with him.
"I know, but I'm not here to request your service. The Phantom Stranger has made a request, and I request is to send you somewhere peaceful as your reward for so many years of service in the name of Justice."said Arceus, making Batman look at him with a raised eyebrow.
"Why did you agree to his request?"said Batman, who knew this deity had the power to say no.
"Because after he showed me everything you've been through, everything you've suffered, everything you gave up just to fight in the name of Justice, and in the end I agreed to fulfill his request. Bruce Wayne, son of Gotham, I am going to send you to the world of Pokemon, my world to live a life of peace."said Arceus, making Batman go quiet for a few seconds.
"...What if I refuse?"inquired Batman a few seconds later.
"You won't, because you and I both know you can use a life free of suffering for once."said Arceus, saying something that Batman knew in his heart.
"Someone like me is the reason so many people I love and care for are dead."said Batman, that's what appeared to be a tear fell from his face.
"They chose to follow you because they believed in you, in your mission. You were never alone Bruce Wayne, but the darkness in your heart could not let you except help from people who wanted nothing more than to see you happy. Your duty has Batman is done. Your actions before Metropolis will inspire new heroes to help rebuild the world after Brainiac. For now, it is time you've been placed in a place of peace, where you can properly grow when live the life you should have lived in the first place, the one that was taken from you by that cowardly criminal in that dark alley."said Arceus, who knew that Bruce Wayne in reality died the night his parents were murdered in front of him...and that was the day Batman was born.
"I don't really have a choice in this, do I?"inquired the Dark Knight.
"No...It has been decided that you will be given a new body in the Pokemon world, and where your path takes you is up to you. You will keep the name Bruce Wayne, since the legacy of the Wayne family should live on, even if it's in another world."said Arceus, making Batman let out a sigh.
"I suppose I should get ready for the inevitable."said Batman, who knew that this deity was about to wipe away every memory he had, and give him a new memory and a new body to start a new.
"I know I may be selfish for forcing my beliefs on you, but I think it's time for you to be happy for once in your life, by being able to live the life you should have had; a normal one."said Arceus before he began activating his power.
Batman said nothing, as a golden light surrounded his whole body. All the wounds and injuries he suffered at the hands of the Suicide Squad disappeared! His armor as Batman was the next thing to be taken away, and soon enough his whole body began to shrink down until it was the size of an infant.
"Before you go to the Pokemon world, just know that Barry Allen and Tim Drake have forgiven you, because they knew that wasn't the real you."said Arceus, making a smile appear on the baby Bruce Wayne's face.
Before a Golden light surrounded his body and he was taken away from the void, which wasn't hell but the dimension Arceus resides in. A few seconds later, Arceus' platform appeared as he looked into the cosmos, distantly.
"May you become a proper Pokemon trainer and hero in the Pokemon world, Bruce Wayne. I hope you can forgive me for telling you a small lie, but in order to protect my world, I need a hero like you to be there to protect it. But I honestly do believe that you should live a life free of your darkness"said the alpha Pokemon, who truly believed his final statement.
Meanwhile, in a maternity room in an unknown hospital, in an unspecific region, a baby let out his first breath.
"He's alive!"shouted the Doctor who was about to declare this baby, as having been born deceased.
"Someone get him to intensive care, NOW!"shouted a nearby nurse, causing several of the hospital staff to begin making preparations to take the baby to intensive care.
"You're a tough one, Bruce Wayne."said the doctor to the baby before some nurses placed said baby on the stretcher, and began taking him to intensive care so he could be properly checked to see if he got a proper amount of oxygen.
'Who am I?'thought the baby to himself, not realizing that most of his memories have been wiped when he was reincarnated into the world of Pokemon.
But the heart of the hero still exists, and soon he will go down a path like no one has ever seen! And become the greatest that there ever was!
I decided to write this story, because I was offended how they ended the Batman Arkham series Dark Knight by having him executed by Harley Quinn of all people after Brainiac turned him evil. I mean, who in their right mind thought this was going to be a good idea! Seriously, did the people who created the game not considered the fact that it would backfire?
Anyway, the story will revolve around Pokemon Journeys!
Bruce Wayne will be an adult as he takes part in the world coronation series, but not as old as he was when he was finally finished off...
I'm thinking 20 to 25 years old...since Pokemon logic somehow allows a 10-year-old, who never aged throughout his journey to become champion of the world... I know, but that's plot armor.
Anyway, I'm not sure who Bruce's starter Pokemon is going to be yet, but I have a pretty good idea who will take up the role.
Now I'm not going to give out any spoilers, but let's just say... the starter pokémon I have in mind will fit him in more ways than one!
Do any of you have any suggestions for Bruce's World Coronation Series team? I will accept any of the over 1,000 known Pokemon, except legendaries and mythicals.
Ultra Beasts and Paradox Pokemon will be accepted!
I want to give Bruce Wayne a Pokemon that can mega evolve, one that can gigantimax, one that has a unique Z move, and give him the power of terastalization!
I'm really excited to write this story, and I hope you all can support a new writer like me.
