Years have passed since Batman AKA Bruce Wayne was born into the world of Pokemon, and has grown up to be a fine young man. This was no surprise since the heart of the hero that was Batman still beats inside of him, and to say that he has done much with his life... couldn't be anything further from the truth.
Unlike most individuals who went on their pokémon Journey at the age of 10 or 12, Bruce decided to stay home and study. He didn't know why, but he felt like he didn't deserve to go on his Pokemon Journey, something he can't explain to this day.
A few years go by, and his studies get the attention of a famous Pokemon professor by the name of Professor Cerise. The professor was impressed by how diligent a young man from the Galar region was when it came to his studies on various Pokemon, so the professor offered him a chance to become one of his assistants at Cerise laboratory, located in Vermilion City in the Kanto region.
Since then Bruce has been one of the assistants, helping the professor understand the world of Pokemon better one step at a time.
It was on one particular day that Bruce was busy with his research, studying on every known phenomenon known in the Pokemon world, including mega evolution, Z moves, dynamax, and terastalization. On his shoulder was a Pokemon he acquired a few months ago while working with Professor Magnolia of the Galar region.
The Pokemon in question small lizard-like Pokemon. It has light-blue skin, with darker blue patches on its cheeks and the tip of its curled tail, and a lighter blue belly and face. It has white eyes with dark blue irises. It also has a yellow fin on the top of its head, held by a dark blue spine. The Pokemon also has thin limbs, each of them ending in two curved hands resembling those of a chameleon like creature.
This was Sobble, the first Pokemon Bruce ever had. He has a serious nature, and is known to be alert to sounds. He is very loyal to Bruce, since the man in question helped him out of a sticky situation involving a Gyarados in a nearby lake...
"Bruce, can I talk to you for a minute?"inquired Professor Cerise, motioning for Bruce to follow him to another room.
"Is there's something wrong, Professor Cerise?"inquired Bruce, wondering why his employer was calling him to another room.
"No, nothing is wrong. I just want to talk to you about something I have been thinking about for a long time."said the professor, causing Bruce to get up from where he was sitting before he followed the professor into another room with Sobble on his shoulder.
"Bruce, do you mind telling me why you never went on your Pokemon Journey like most people you did when they were 10 or 12?"inquired Professor Cerise, which caught Bruce off guard for a second.
"...I just wanted to focus on my studies..."answered Bruce, after collecting his thoughts.
"I don't think that's the real reason. I have worked with you for a long time Bruce, and I've never seen anyone loves Pokemon like you do. So why don't you tell me the real reason?"inquired Professor Cerise, wanting to know the real reason why his assistant never went on his Pokemon Journey.
"... I don't know why, but I felt like I never deserved it..."finally answered Bruce, after a few seconds of hesitation.
"What?"said the professor, who was clearly confused.
"For the longest time I felt like I didn't deserve to be happy, I don't know why but I felt like that deep in my heart. That never stopped my interest or love of Pokemon, who some of the most beautiful creatures I've ever seen. That's why I agreed to be your assistant in the first place, so I can study more about Pokemon while at the same time be confined to one place."answered Bruce, who didn't know why he felt this way.
"Oh, Bruce. Why didn't you tell me?"said the professor, as he placed a hand on Bruce's shoulder.
"I don't know why I feel this way... I've been the therapy and yet they can come up with an answer, since I so far as I know I've had a happy childhood. My mother and father raised me the best they could, even supported my decision to continue my education. They even cried tears of joy when they found out I became your assistant. But for some reason there's always been this hole in my heart that I can't seem to fill."said Bruce, feeling like he was empty on the inside in some place in his happy life, but he didn't know why.
He wasn't abused or anything, as his parents were nothing but loving, supportive people. He grew up in a high middle class family, never having to struggle for food, water, housing, or education. So why did he feel like he was missing something.
"I thinking your mind you do want to go on your Pokemon Journey."said Professor Cerise, causing Bruce to look at him with a look of confusion.
"What?"said Bruce with a raised eyebrow.
"Like I said earlier, I've never seen anyone else love Pokemon like you do. But at the same time I've never seen anyone else love Pokemon battles as much as you do. Your a kind soul then felt like you missed out on something that everyone should have a chance to do when they're young."said Professor Cerise, feeling like Bruce's heart was telling him he should go on his Pokemon Journey.
"But I'm already 26 years old, isn't it a little late to go on my Pokemon Journey."said Bruce, feeling like it was too late.
"I definitely do not think so, since a lot of the best Pokemon trainers are adults. The Pokemon League also has no age limit when it comes to someone starting their Pokemon Journey."said Professor Cerise, who felt like it was never too late.
"But where would I even start? I love every region in the pokémon world, so there's no reason for me to just go on one journey."said Bruce, hoping this argument would convince the professor to drop the subject.
"Then why don't you take on the whole Pokemon world!"said Professor Cerise, as he raised his arms in the air.
"What?"inquired Bruce, wondering what Professor Cerise meant by that.
"Let me show you something that recently came across my desk."said the professor before he pulled something out of his lab coat.
He then proceeded to hand it to Bruce, who looked at it, and thought it was some kind of flyer. On the flyer it said something called the World Coronation Series.
"What's this?"inquired Bruce, as this is the first time he's heard of this World Coronation Series.
"The Pokemon League has decided to hold a grand tournament to see who is number one in the whole world! Over 10,000 Pokemon trainers have already registered for this competition. It doesn't matter where you come from, or your age for that matter. All that matters is that this competition will allow you to see every bit of a Pokemon world that you missed out on, when you were younger."said Professor Cerise, who felt like this was the perfect place for Bruce to spread his wings so to speak.
"But can someone like me even make it in a competition like this? I literally have no experience when it comes to Pokemon battling."said Bruce, as other than training Sobble on the side, he has no experience when it comes to Pokemon battling.
He doesn't even have any other Pokemon besides Sobble!
"Don't worry, as this tournament has a ranking system that will allow you the perfect chance to take on all the trainers you need to grow experience. And at the same time you can add Pokemon to your team."said the professor with confidence.
"Well, I do owe you a lot... so this is the least I can do."said Bruce, knowing that Professor Cerise helped him a lot during his younger years, so doing this for him wasn't too bad.
"So how does this tournament work?"inquired Bruce, wanting to know how this worked.
"Well there are four classes. Should you choose to compete, you will start out in the normal class."said Professor Cerise, as he pointed at the posters various ranking levels.
"Then after a great many battles, you will move on to the great class. Should you defeat powerful trainers in the great class, you will move on to the ultra class. And only when you beat some of the greatest Pokemon trainers the world has to offer, can you move on to the masters class, to which there are only eight positions."said Professor Cerise, making Bruce look at everything.
"What do you think?"inquired Bruce to his starter Pokemon.
"Sobb Sob Sobble!"said the water lizard Pokemon, who look like he was ready to throw down.
"I guess you've always wanted to have a real Pokemon battle, it is in your nature after all. Okay, let's do this, but first we need to build up our team. Since there is no way we can win all the way with just you Sobble, sorry if that sounded rude."said Bruce, known he would need more than one pokémon for this tournament.
"Sobble."said the water lizard Pokemon, as he moved his head and understanding, indicating that he knew his trainer needed more Pokemon.
"Then why not head to Mount Moon to see if you can capture some Pokemon. The Pokemon there are perfect for an up-and-coming trainer like you Bruce."the Professor Cerise, feeling like Bruce should start out at Mount Moon.
"That's a great idea, Professor Cerise."said Bruce, who then began making his way to the door.
"Wait!"shouted the professor, getting the attention of his assistant.
"Yes?"said Bruce, wondering what the professor wanted.
"Don't forget to take some pokeballs, and a pokedex to help you identify the pokémon in front of you."said Professor Cerise before he gave his assistance some pokeballs and his rotom phone, which had the Pokedex app.
"Thank you, Professor."said Bruce before he once again began making his way out the door with his Sobble on his shoulder.
"Let's show the Pokemon world where we're capable of, Sobble!"said Bruce, who has never felt this good before in his life in the pokémon world.
What neither he, the professor, or his starter Pokemon new is that Bruce's guilt of hurting all those people under the control of Brainiac prevented him from going on his Pokemon Journey, even though he had no idea about it since his memories were wiped clean. But now that time has passed, he now feels like this World Coordination Series is just the thing he needs to begin his debut.

(Mount Moon - Kanto region)
About half an hour later Bruce was in the dark caves of Mount Moon. He figured he would use the opportunity to not only train Sobble, but ad some new Pokemon to his team at the same time!
"Wow, this place is really dark."said Bruce, wondering how he could see so well in the dark.
"Sob sob sob.."said Sobble, be never vigilant in case they got attacked by a wild Pokemon.
"Look out!"shouted Bruce, as a swarm of Pokemon approached him, and he quickly ducked out of the way, with Sobble holding on to his shoulder the whole time.
"Sob!"said the water lizard Pokemon as he held on.
"Who are those Pokemon?"said Bruce, as he pulled out his Pokedex app.
(Pokedex: Zubat, the bat Pokemon. A poison and flying type. Zubat live in caves, down where the sun's light won't reach. In the morning, they gather together to keep each other warm as they sleep.)
"So it doesn't have eyes but it can still see in the dark... that could be useful."said Bruce, who didn't know why but he felt drawn to the bat Pokemon.
That us when a Zubat noticed Bruce, and went over to attack him! It quickly try to use wing attack, but the young Pokemon assistant jumped out of the way in the nick of time.
"Sobble, use water gun!"ordered Bruce, causing the water lizard Pokemon to take in a deep breath before he unleash the blast of water at the bat pokémon, striking it and causing damage!
Zubat look like it was out for a second before it quickly recovered! It then proceeded to fly towards Sobble with the intention of using astonish!
"Use pound!"ordered Bruce, causing the water lizard Pokemon to run towards the bat pokémon and strike it with its hand, successfully completing the normal type attack n
Zubat appear to stagger a bit, and Bruce decided to go in for an opening!
"Use water gun!"ordered Bruce, causing Sobble to take in a deep breath before he unleashed the blast of water, striking the bat Pokemon and knocking it to the ground.
"Go pokeball!"said Bruce before he threw a pokeball at Zubat.
The bat Pokemon was struck by the pokeball before I bounced off. It then opened up and absorbed the pokémon inside. Once Zubat was completely inside did the pokeball close before it fell on the ground, where quickly proceeded to wiggle. Bruce and Sobble on the other hand held their breath, wondering what was going to happen as the wiggling continued. A couple of wiggles later it stopped, and a click sound was heard, indicating that Zubat was successfully captured!
"Yes!"said Bruce, as he ran over and picked up the pokeball.
"I just caught a Zubat!"shouted Bruce, while holding the pokeball high in the air.
"Sobb Sobb!"said the water lizard Pokemon with joy.
"Come on out, Zubat."said Bruce before calling out the bat Pokemon from his pokeball.
"According to the state of your male, your nature is hardy, and you're known for having a sturdy body. That will definitely come in handy in the World Coronation Series. Lets get stronger together."said Bruce as he looked at the bat Pokemon.
"Zu zu zu!"said the bat Pokemon, as he flapped his wings with joy.
"I'll take that as a yes! Now let us venture out and try to add more pokémon to this team."said Bruce before he, Sobble, and their new addition Zubat began making their way deeper into Mount Moon, wanting to see if they can add new members to their team.
Bruce didn't know why but as soon as he saw Zubat, he knew he had to add the bat Pokemon to his team! It was like it reminded him from something long ago, but what that was he had long since forgotten.
Oh well, thought the once Dark Knight to himself, he had a series to compete in!
And he was going to become the best that there ever was with Sobble and Zubat by his side!

Sobble [Male]

Moves: pound, growl, water gun, bind
Zubat [Male]
Nature: hardy
Moves: absorb, wing attack, mean look, astonish
I decided to go with the water lizard Pokemon as his starter pokémon because Iteleon was the starter Pokemon I used for my playthrough through pokémon shield.
I also chose the water lizard Pokemon for the following reasons!
1) It's final evolution has a fighting style similar to Batman's!
2) Intelon has a lot of tricks up his non-existent sleeves, just like Batman.
3) Despite appearances, the secret agent Pokemon is a beast in battle
4) It can stay calm under pressure, just like Batman!
5) It can gigantamax, and its form is intimidating like Batman!
Those are just some of the reasons, but you pretty much get the point by now.
I hope you can accept my decision and continue supporting this story.
If you have any suggestions for Bruce's pokémon team, just remember you can choose any of the over a 1000 Pokemon in the Pokemon world, except legendaries and mythicals!
Ultra beasts and paradox Pokemon will be accepted!
