Jason and Percy were breathing heavily. They had taken out most of the Aphrodite cabin, but with no water available, and no control over the sky, even two children of the big three couldn't handle this onslaught.
Piper's charmspeak wasn't making it any easier.
"It's time for our date Jason. Why are you so late?"
The words lured him in with comfort. But the words of the mysterious girl kept them at bay. He gripped his sword. "We. Are not. Dating."
Percy sliced another camper.
"Jason Grace rejecting Piper McLean? Who are you and what have you done to my dead cousin."
Jason dodged another arrow. "Not dead!" He shouted.
"Then where are you?" Percy punched a camper, knocking them out. "Why can't we find you?"
"I don't know!" Jason threw a ripped curtain at Piper. She struggled in the fabric. The two backed towards the stairs to the attic. "I'm not on earth. Or at least not on this version. Manhattan doesn't exist in Eren's world. Nor do the Greek or Roman gods."
Outnumbered, the two climbed the stairs to the attic. "I can't help but feel something bigger is at play." Jason commented. Percy threw a smoke grenade he grabbed earlier on the main floor. "What makes you say that?"
"There's this girl."
"Oh." Jason didn't appreciate the tone of his voice.
"Not in that way! I'm pretty sure she saved me when I died the first time. And then she saved me again here." While pushing me into broken glass and drowning me. He decided he wouldn't mention that part.
They reached the attic and shut the door behind them. Breathing heavily, they sat down, with their backs blocking the door.
Eren seemed to be searching for something in the attic clutter. Jason continued.
"If I figure out who she is, then maybe I can understand what's happened to me." The door began to bulge. Percy and Jason held it tight.
"But what if you can't figure it out? What if we can't find you?" Percy asked.
Jason looked at him. "I have to try."
The banging on the door continued.
Eren found what he was looking for. He held a rusty blade in his hand and waited for the door to open.
Percy saw the boy's stance. "You can fight?" Eren scoffed, "I didn't train in the corps for three years for nothing!"
An ax cut through the wooden door between Jason and Percy's heads. The two jumped out of the way as the door exploded. Piper Mclean stood at the destruction.
"YOUR LATE FOR OUR DATE!" She yelled to Jason, then "KILL HIM!" She ordered… Eren.
The young boy's eyes glazed over. OH NO!
"PERCY, RUN!
Blood spurted where Eren bit his hand.
Lightning crushed the cabin.
