Just a few more days till 2024! What will happen? Well, Angry Luigi will get new adventures that don't revolve around Luke for a change, giving Angry Luigi a chance to get to Luke's level.
Now on to the chapter.
Kat and Ana clashed swords as they were sparring
"Come on, Ana!" Kat says as she cuts Ana, who poofed as Ana dove and kicked Kat and giggled.
"Impressive." Kat says, then glares, seeing Lola.
At camp, another practice session was underway. The competition was in a week.
Emma gives Luke and the coach gifts for being good leaders. Luke smiled at this. So did Howard.
They were medals. Luke smiled and wore his.
Ana arrives at Warioware and sees Wario coming from the ground. "Gold!" He says.
Ana entered and sees everyone and sighed
Ashley was making a potion when Ana bumped into her.
"Tch…" Ashley said and used a spell on her.
It looked like nothing happened. Ana sighed and went to the bathroom, but it was out of service.
At lunch, her burrito blew up in her face as she grew frustrated.
Kat was worried about her sister. 5-Volt was worried about Ana as well.
"It's like she's bad luck or something…" Lulu says, confusing Orbulon.
Ana ran out shrieking.
She arrived at the manor as Lola's mirror broke.
"Guys!" Lola says. Ana screamed as Lucy and Leni were out with Lincoln and Luna.
Charity arrives to see Ana sobbing outside
"Ana?" Kat asked as it was raining. Ana's stuff was also outside.
"What happened here?" Charity asked.
Ana sniffed, shaking. "Ashley casted a bad luck spell on me and the others threw me out."
Meanwhile, Lisa was at Penny's for a sleepover.
Penny was thinking of Shane. She missed him while he was at cheer camp.
"You miss him, don't you?" Lisa asked as Penny blushed and nodded.
"Maybe he could move here. That'd be cool." Penny says.
"He has to go to school, Penny. And he has his friends." Lisa says. "You visit him all the time."
"True." Penny says. "He never gave me his stool sample."
Lisa looked weirded out.
"They kicked you out?" Charity asked. "I'll let Lucy take a look at you when she gets back. She'll know what to do."
Later, Lucy came back.
"What happened?" She asked.
"Your friend casted a bad luck spell on her." Charity says.
"Ashley?" Lucy asked as Charity nodded.
Lucy growls and finds a spell to nullify it as Ana was still shaking. Her new step-siblings just kicked her out, which broke her heart.
"You kids were cruel to her! And now that Lucy has nullified this spell of Ashley's, I'd like you all to apologize at once!" Charity shouted.
The siblings apologize as Charity brings Ana's stuff back in.
At cheer camp, Luke had left competition practice and was going to the bathroom. That left Oliver in charge for a few minutes, just until he got back.
"Okay, listen up! Today is Captain's Day here at camp. Luke does a ton for this squad, so today, we're gonna show our appreciation to him." Oliver says. "He works hard for us, so we're gonna work hard for him. We're going to plan a surprise spa day for him, right here in our cabin. And we'll give him his favorite dessert after dinner. Also, we did get him a gift or two, didn't we?"
The Oakley Academy squad members nodded.
"So, we need someone to distract Luke for at least a few hours." Oliver says. "Any volunteers?"
Emma raised her hand up.
"Do you know how to keep him distracted, sis?" Oliver asked Emma. She nodded.
Ashley was looking for Ana.
"You aren't casting a spell on her again, are you?" Kat asked.
"No. Ana, I'm sorry for what I did." Ashley says as Ana sniffed and looked at her.
"It's okay." Ana sniffed.
Luke sees Emma standing before him upon returning from the bathroom.
"Oh, hey, Emma. What's going on?" Luke asked.
"Nothing." Emma says. "We're going on an important mission."
"Sounds fun. May I join you? Maybe I can be of some help." Luke says. Emma nods.
They soon ended up at a grocery store.
"What are we doing here?" Luke asked.
"Epic spy mission!" Emma says.
"Oooh! Just like David Steele!" Luke says. He and Lincoln loved the David Steele comics and movies.
Emma nodded.
"What is our mission?" Luke asked. Emma points at a shady guy.
"What are we supposed to do?" Luke asked. "I thought this was fun."
"First, we spy, then we have fun." Emma says, somehow dressed in a trenchcoat.
Luke sighed. "Oh, fine." Luke says.
With the others back at camp, they had made a lot of preparations for Luke's "in-cabin spa day" surprise. They were currently getting it set up. They knew Luke hated mistakes. One mistake and he'd probably never forgive them. Sometimes he treats his special days better than other days.
"Okay, agent muffin is on the move, over." Emma says. "Normally my brothers handle this, but the moment you left Isle Delfino, Bowser came in and took Peach, so they should be back in a week or two, definitely not in time for the cups' birthday, which I hear will bring this planet into the multiverse's spotlight."
Emma and Luke arrived at a fortress and saw some people with muffin helmets as Wild Card Willy was there.
"Hey, wait a minute…We've never seen him before…" Emma says.
"I have." Luke says before getting tied up in a lasso and tossed into a wall.
"Ow…" Luke says. "I can't be losing!"
"But you are!" Wild Card Willy says as Emma wondered if she should help as she sees them fight before noticing the men running towards her and gulped as she jumped behind some boxes
Luke leaped in and started punching and kicking the henchmen left and right as he grabbed two of their heads and smacked them together.
"I forgot how much fun being a hero can be. I usually avoid this stuff." Luke says and spun around doing a handstand and kicking a bunch of them. They were being sent flying.
"Dang it!" Wild Card Willy says tossing a lasso towards Luke, who grabbed the lasso and swung him around and around. Emma leaped and kicked him in the face as he fell over.
The police soon arrived and clapped.
"He's done it again." The chief says. Luke smiled and wondered if it was over.
"Yeah, this mission is over. I mean we could do more spy missions, but I'm not Bill." Emma sighed and walked off. She didn't feel welcome at camp. She was often bullied.
Luke sighed and flew back to camp. The lights turned on as he entered.
"Surprise! Happy Captain's Day, Luke!" The Oakley Academy squad says.
"Oh, my goodness!" Luke gasped, surprised.
"I know you love it…" Shane says.
"Today is your spa day!" Oliver says.
Emma was absent as Luke saw a spa set up just for him.
"This is wonderful!" Luke says.
Emma was walking alone, fuming. They locked her out just to have a spa day and to possibly do teenager things. She sobbed hard as she wasn't trying to be clingy. Pam noticed her.
Meanwhile, Mona was being celebrated for being captain and it just so happened she didn't have any work to do.
Her teammates took her out to the mall to get a new dress. Mona sees a book Mugman would like.
"I should get this for him." Mona says as she does so.
With Luke, he was getting a five-star spa treatment from his fellow squad members.
"This is the life…" Luke says. "I deserve this…"
Oliver was massaging Luke's feet. Luke sighed in relief.
Emma was sitting outside. Pam joined her.
Emma sniffed. "Maybe I should quit."
"How about I teach you instead?" Pam offered.
"Huh?" Emma asked.
"I mean, you're too young for this competition. You're getting better, really, but you came to a high school cheer camp." Pam says.
"It was the best…" Emma says.
"You know they do camp stuff, too. Not just cheer stuff." Pam says.
Emma nodded. "Besides, my brothers are busy, so I'll be on my way." Emma walked off to be alone as Pam headed back inside.
Meanwhile, Mona sees a new cheerleader outfit and smiles.
"Thanks, guys!" Mona says.
"No problem." one of them says.
"Okay, maximum effort. Our opponents are from Diamond City. We can win." Chrissy says.
"Yeah!" Savannah says as Sal nodded. "Here's a gift. Happy Captain's Day, Sal!" Savannah says.
"Um, thanks…" he says.
"So you miss Marcy?" Anne asked.
"Yeah, I do. Too bad she's at Comic-Con." Sasha says.
Meanwhile, Delta smirked
"Multiverses are dangerous, but I hope Cuphead goes through with his big plan because I wanna see who comes knocking." Delta says and arrived at Jitro's ship and kicked Blaze and shot Aquashooter with a gun.
"What the?!" Jitro asked.
"Shut it, Jitro. You attacked us, so it's payback time!" Delta said and rushed towards him and swung her knives. Jitro was dodging and leaped to attack Delta, who dodged and smirked.
Later in Luke's spa, Luke was getting a facial and a manicure.
"I hope nothing ruins this day." Luke says.
After 3 hours, the spa portion of the celebration was over.
Soon, Luke was opening Oliver's gift. He took a closer look at it.
"Is this gift a joke?" Luke asked, seeing the letter jacket with his name spelled incorrectly.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Oliver says, quickly using magic to fix it.
"Now I like it." Luke says. "Is there anything else you want to give me?"
Remy gave his gift. Luke stares at it. It was a new pair of ice skates that he liked.
"This I like." Luke says. "Thank you."
He finds Shane's gift and opens it. It was a guitar signed by Laine Hardy.
"Shane! I love it a lot!" Luke says.
"Wow, I've never actually been lazy before…" Mona says, actually having trouble relaxing.
She tries to watch TV, but gets bored quickly.
"Ugh…why is this so boring?" Mona groaned and decided to take a walk.
"Maybe I should work on cheerleading." Mona says.
"Hey, Mona." Ashley says behind her.
"Oh, hey, Ashley." Mona says.
"You said you're bored right?" Ashley asked.
"Um…yeah…" Mona stammered, sweating as Ashley grabbed her hand. Red pitied Mona.
Meanwhile, Sasha was looking at Luke's past achievements.
"He shouldn't be that big of a problem. I'm not sure who he faced in the past, but now he actually has a challenge." Sasha says.
"Um, okay." Anne says, reading one of Marcy's comics.
"Is that the one where we saved the world?" Sasha asked as Anne nodded.
With Luke, he hissed when he saw he wasn't getting his dessert right away. He sighed and went to dinner alone.
"Go get his dessert, Shane. Luke did ask for it." Oliver says, knowing that Luke was going to blow a gasket.
Luke ate his dinner as the squad stared at him. Luke looked up at them.
"Are you ready for dessert?" Stephen asked.
"Sure…" Luke says. Stephen brought it out.
Luke hissed as he stared at the cake. It said "Thank You, Luke, for being our awesome cheer captain!" It even had a toy Luke as a cheerleader.
Luke smiled at this. "You made a blue velvet cake for me!" Luke says. "And blue velvet brownies! And a peppermint Oreo dessert! I think you all just spoil me too much!"
They smile and share the desserts, showering Luke with compliments and praise.
With Mona, Ashley was dragging her.
"Where are we going?" Mona asked.
"To my place." Ashley says.
"I don't want to be your ingredient!" Mona cried out.
"You're not. I…I just feel lonely without my parents." Ashley confesses "And I really feel guilty. Because of me, Ana was tossed out of her house."
Mona holds her. "Awww, I'm sure Ana will forgive you. She needs time to heal."
"I just wanted to be friends with you all. I secretly care." she sniffed.
Meanwhile, everyone had their share of cake and dessert. Luke smiled with satisfaction.
"I love it all." Luke says, wearing the jacket Oliver gave him. No one saw Mugman leave the party and go to be alone with his share of the dessert. Cuphead had eaten his own share, so that was okay.
"Now for the overnight party." Luke says.
Mugman was alone and sitting on his bunk, not in a party mood. Luke felt bad as he walked into the room.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Luke asked.
"I don't know if I want to attend my own birthday party. I know you've never heard me say that before, but this year, it's true." Mugman says, eating his slice of cake.
"That's dumb." Luke says.
"It's not dumb to me. I just wish someone would listen to me and understand what I have to say…" Mugman says.
Luke decided to be that someone. He sat on Mugman's bunk with him.
"Okay, what's wrong?" Luke asked, willing to listen.
"Cuphead always planned our birthdays. Since we were just little sippy cups, he always wanted to go big. Observe." Mugman says as he showed Luke a few clips of the cups' past birthdays.
"So you wanna go small. Don't you want attention for once?" Luke asked.
"I get a lot of that attention from Elder Kettle. He knows I'm the straight-A student and the one who is most likely to succeed. I get all that. What I want, more than most, is for my brother to listen to me when I actually bring up our birthday. I understand he has a huge tendency to go big, but sometimes I wish he'd see what I want. And I don't understand why he wants the multiverse to attend our birthday. I just don't understand it. If that's what he wants, then it can be his party. I don't want to be there!" Mugman was crying hot, milky tears as he buried his face in his knees.
Luke put an arm around Mugman, rubbing his back.
"I may have told him I was planning to go big myself." Luke says. "I didn't mean for it to hurt you."
"So, that's where all the ideas come from? You?" Mugman says.
"Yeah, I mean, I am a party planner with massive ideas, kinda. I didn't think he'd copy me. I already technically corrupted him the first time we met and sorta did it with Shane when I forced him to go big for his 16th. I will try and stop influencing people to go big unless they want to, and also you only seem to claim your Elder Kettle gives you attention." Luke says.
"I get attention at school, too. I have somewhat of a social life. Elder Kettle gives me parental attention and sometimes, he knows what is best for me. At school, I get attention just for being on the squad and because of my smartness, looks, and athleticism." Mugman says. "Cuphead is the complete opposite of me. He gets decent grades, always turns his stuff in late, attends practice every other day…the list goes on. Elder Kettle only wants him to do good things, but he always causes trouble."
"I see…" Luke says.
"But our birthdays? I always want a nice gathering of friends while Cuphead wants everyone to be there." Mugman says.
Luke held Mugman as his tears came back.
Meanwhile, Ana refused to come down for dinner. Charity brought her dinner to her.
"You can talk to me, sweetie." Charity says as she hands Ana the fork for her spaghetti.
Ana sniffed. "They called me bad luck like Luke!" She sobbed.
"I told them they weren't going to do that anymore. I made sure of it." Charity says.
"I can't just forget that!" Ana sobbed.
"I know, honey. Luke still hasn't forgotten when it happened to him. Even though Lynn is gone, a lot of the family still remembers when it happened to Luke. Luna is still repressing her feelings toward that and now goes to counseling three times a week because of it." Charity says.
Kat overhears this as Ana was really suffering. This may have been worse since Ana was younger than Luke. Ana would remember this for the rest of her life now.
With Luke, he was consoling Mugman.
Lucy texted Luke as Luke felt bad for Ana. But Luke couldn't leave camp to take care of the problem as he was having bigger problems to deal with at the moment, such as the camp competition and Mugman's issues with Cuphead.
