Soon enough, Lancex, Predaking, and Optimus returned to their usual base. Ratchet was the first to greet them and asked how things went. "How was the trip?"
"It was good. The rescue bots and the Burns family have agreed to house the remainder of the Autobots that reside here" Optimus stated matter-of-factly. Ratchet nodded at that, and while Optimus and Predaking went to pack, Ratchet held Lancex back.
Lancex was puzzled. "I have to thank you, Lancex" Ratchet told the worried bot.
"Why do you need to thank me?" Lancex asked, confused as to where this was going.
"Lancex, you have made both Optimus and Predaking very happy, and that has made things much better in the base as I can tell they care for you" Ratchet replied.
Lancex smiled at that. "It took me a while, but I finally realized that my spark longs to be with them as much as their spark longs to be with me." Ratchet smiled at Lancex and then shared some old stories, both war and otherwise about Optimsu with Lancex. Lancex enjoyed each story.
Meanwhile, Optimus and Predaking packed up much needed items, things that they didn't want to leave behind. Once the packing was complete, Predaking and Optimus ran into Bumblebee and his mates. Optimus asked if Bee and his two mates were packed and ready to pass into the other realm. Bee nodded and his mates followed suit.
Soon enough, the five bots met at the space bridge entrance. Lancex was with Ratchet, Bulkhead, and the others when Optimus and company arrived. The bots all exchanged goodbyes and see-you-soons. And after all of that, while waiting for the bridge to work, or so Optimsu thought, a bot, seldom seen and rarely heard of appeared – Slugbug. He was a powerful bot, was all that most bots know, so his size surprised most, as he wasn't a big bot, but Optimus knew one never judged by size.
"Are you ready to make the journey?" Slugbug asked, stunning all but Lancex with his deep voice. Lancex nodded and the others followed suit. "Then let's be going" the bot uttered before a great light flashed and soon, none of the six were in the previous realm, but all were in the new realm, and Bug had vanished. While Lancex just smiled, as he knew the bot was like that, the others were stunned. But there was little time to waste, as it was getting late here. They needed to find shelter for the night.
