The sun dipped low over the horizon, casting long shadows across the training grounds where Team Hana-Gumi often gathered for practice. Kanna, the spirited leader of the team, leaned against a tree, a cigarette held casually between her fingers. Hao, her mentor and the team's guiding force, approached her with a concerned expression.

"Kanna, can we talk for a moment?" Hao asked, his voice gentle but firm.

Kanna glanced up, exhaling a stream of smoke into the evening air. "Sure thing, Hao-sama. What's on your mind?"

Hao paused, choosing his words carefully. "I've noticed you've been smoking a lot lately. I'm worried about your health."

Kanna raised an eyebrow, taking another drag from her cigarette. "Oh? It's not a big deal. Helps me unwind, you know? Plus, it's good for my spirit partner. Builds a stronger bond."

Hao furrowed his brow slightly. He was well-acquainted with Kanna's stubborn streak. "I understand, but there are healthier ways to manage stress. I want you to be in top form, Kanna."

She chuckled with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "You worry too much, Hao-sama, but I'll consider it, just for you."

Hao smiled faintly, relieved. "Good. I want you to live a long, healthy life. So you can continue to fight by my side."

Kanna's cheeks flushed at the sincerity in Hao's words. She hadn't expected him to be so openly caring. "Thanks, Hao-sama..." she mumbled, suddenly finding it hard to meet his gaze.

Their tender moment was interrupted by the arrival of Matilda and Marion, two of Kanna's teammates. Matilda's arms were crossed, and Marion wore a look of mock annoyance.

"There you two are!" Matilda exclaimed dramatically. "Here we thought you were off plotting secret missions without us."

Marion chimed in with an annoyed expression. "Kanna's got Hao-sama all to herself. No fair."

Kanna rolled her eyes, but Hao stepped in before an argument could break out. "Actually, I was just about to invite you both for a little outing. If Kanna promises to cut back on the smoking."

Kanna shot Hao a sharp glare, her cheeks still warm from their earlier conversation. "You're enjoying this, aren't you?" she said with a grumble.

Hao winked at her, and Kanna couldn't help but blush even more. Matilda and Marion exchanged jealous glances, clearly not used to seeing their leader and Hao-sama in such a personal exchange.

"I'll agree to that," Kanna finally replied, trying to regain her composure.

"Great!" Hao said cheerfully. "Let's all go out and have some fun. It's important to bond as a team, after all."
