Chapter 54 Drowned Snakes

After the Blitzkrieg Boyz' victory over Frozen Fortitude, DJ Jazzman announced the next competitors.

"Good morning, everybody, after the Blitzkrieg Boyz demolished Frozen Fortitude, it's now time for our next battle, today we shall be witnessing two very strong teams!"

Ocean Shine entered the stadium from one side, all five members were walking confidently in.

"Our first competing team for today is Ocean Shine!"

Once Ocean Shine were seated on the bench, the Venom Snakes made their way in.

"Their opponents are those serpentine fighters from Australia, the Venom Snakes!"

The Venom Snakes entered from the other side of the stadium, then they settled on the bench opposite Ocean Shine.

With both teams in the stadium, Larysa now stood up and made her way to the closed platform, once she was there she stood quietly with a hand on her waist and waited patiently.

"Larysa is first to represent Risk Factor, her Tlaloc bit beast can send opponents to a slow but painful death!"

Larysa didn't have long to wait before she was met by Xavier.

"The Venom Snakes' leader Xavier is up to face Larysa and his Forest Crotalus bit beast can hit with poison so it looks like it'll be a venomous battle!"

With Larysa and Xavier facing one another, the closed platform split down the middle and unveiled a stadium that resembled the Sacred Cenote, complete with a water filled sinkhole that was surrounded by many small temples and ruins.

"Wow, the Sacred Cenote stadium."

"Perfect, Tlaloc is a natural water spirit so victory will come easy."

"All I have to do is to keep Larysa out of the water."

Larysa swiftly readied her launcher, ripcord and beyblade, Xavier was swift to follow suit.

"3,2 1, let it rip!"

As soon as the command to launch had been issued, Larysa swiftly launched Tlaloc and Xavier released Forest Crotalus.

"Tlaloc, attack!"

"Go, Forest Crotalus!"

Tlaloc and Forest Crotalus chased each other round the sinkhole, sparks flew as Forest Crotalus was slammed up the rear.

"Keep it up!"

It was as though Larysa's bit beast heard her command, her blade kept firmly on Forest Crotalus's tail, it struck it from behind with hard blows.

"That's it, Tlaloc, slam now!"

With a firm slam, Tlaloc slammed Forest Crotalus into a temple, flecks of rock fell around and trapped it.

"Forest Crotalus, attack now!"

The rock that surrounded Forest Crotalus flew towards Tlaloc and disorientated it, Forest Crotalus was now free and shooting for Tlaloc.

"Tlaloc, dodge!"

As Forest Crotalus shot in to attack, it hit thin air as Tlaloc smartly moved aside.

"Now, Tlaloc, multi slam!"

Heeding Larysa's command, Tlaloc began to fiercely multi slam Forest Crotalus, it struck multiple times, each blow was harder than the last.

"Attack, Tlaloc"

With one last mighty blow, Tlaloc slammed Forest Crotalus again.

"Forest Crotalus, attack!"

The door was closed on Larysa's attack, Forest Crotalus viciously struck and slashed Tlaloc.

"Forest Crotalus, slam now!"

Forest Crotalus hit Tlaloc with a mighty blow, sending it into one of the trees with a bang.

"Keep on the attack, Forest Crotalus!"

In seconds, Larysa's momentum had been snatched from her, Forest Crotalus was viciously attacking Tlaloc, sparks flew into the air and the metal changed with every blow. Tears filled Larysa's eyes and her heart pounded with dread, she had to act soon or she would be beaten.

"Tlaloc, slam back!"

With a powerful burst of energy, Tlaloc slammed Forest Crotalus clean off, sending it flying backwards.

"Tlaloc, attack now!"

"Forest Crotalus, counterattack!"

In seconds, Tlaloc and Forest Crotalus were locked together in a stalemate, grinding each other in a circular motion.

"Go, Forest Crotalus, finish her!"

"Don't count on it!"

"Forest Crotalus, slam!"

"Tlaloc, slam!"

Forest Crotalus and Tlaloc slammed each other hard, separating simultaneously as the sparks banged on impact. Tlaloc hit the water and the fin of a lionfish appeared there, Forest Crotalus was knocked towards a tomb.

"Forest Crotalus, attack!"

In seconds, Forest Crotalus shot towards the water filled sinkhole, a mischievous grin crossed Larysa's face and her eyes gleamed. However, she watched and waited patiently for the right moment. As soon as Forest Crotalus was in range, she sprung her trap.

"Tlaloc, Venom Spike!"

The lionfish appeared and snared the rattlesnake on its dorsal fin, venom flowed into the snake which writhed in pain before Larysa's blade leaped out of the water, it slammed Forest Crotalus out of the stadium.

"Winner Larysa!"

Tlaloc jumped out of the water and returned to Larysa's open hand, Xavier picked up Forest Crotalus and the two shook hands before separating. The stadium went back under the platform which closed.

Not long after, Rowena and Sienna met at the closed platform where they stood facing each other.

"I will claim victory for Ocean Shine and I'll fight to do so until I die."

"There's no way I'll let Ocean Shine win and I'll tie it up at all costs."

With the two bladers facing each other, the platform split again and a puff of smoke rose out of it. A stadium slowly rose along with the smoke, then when the smoke dissipated, it revealed the stadium. The stadium looked exactly like the Ik Kil, vines hung from the rims above and the water was twenty-six feet below ground level. A carved stairway led down to a swimming platform below.

"How impressive, the Ik Kil Cenote stadium, the bladers will have to be careful where they launch else they'll end up in the drink."

"I have to land direct in the water and Sienna is washed up."

"I'll make sure to keep Rowena out of the water at all costs."

"3,2,1, let it rip!"

As soon as the command had been given, the two girls swiftly launched their blades into the stadium.

"Caspian, attack!"

"Go, Tropical Sumatrana!"

Sparks flew as Caspian and Tropical Sumatrana clashed and grinded against each other.

"Caspian, full force attack!"

Caspian heeded Rowena's command, it slashed Tropical Sumatrana left, right and centre and the metal clanged with every blow.

"Keep it up!"

Seconds later, Caspian was brutally attacking, striking so fast that Tropical Sumatrana was reeling. Sienna's heart was pounding and fear was racing through her veins.

"Tropical Sumatrana, fight back!"

Momentum quickly switched to Sienna, as Tropical Sumatrana ferociously attacked Caspian. Now it was Rowena's turn to be scared.

"Caspian, attack now!"

Sienna's momentum was swiftly taken away, Caspian slashed Tropical Sumatrana from all sides and so fast that Sienna couldn't see what was happening.

"Tropical Sumatrana, attack now."

"Caspian, you attack as well."

With a hard bang, Caspian and Tropical Sumatrana slammed into each other, both were knocked in opposite directions.

"Caspian, slam now!"

Caspian shot forwards like a jet, it was poised to strike, Sienna noticed and uttered the words on her tongue.

"Tropical Sumatrana, evade!"

Rowena cursed silently as Caspian missed its target, Sienna grinned to herself and prepared to attack.

"Tropical Sumatrana, attack!"

Sienna reclaimed the upper hand as Tropical Sumatrana attacked Caspian from behind.

"Keep it up!"

Tropical Sumatrana heeded Sienna's instructions, it chased Caspian down towards the carved stairway and on it.

"That's the ticket, Tropical Sumatrana, slam now!"

With one mighty slam, Tropical Sumatrana sent Caspian into the water with a splash. At the same time, the fin of a tiger shark protruded from it. Rowena grinned at a shocked Sienna.

"No way!"

"This is where it ends!"

"Just try it!"

"With pleasure!"

Sienna, in a last ditch attempt to claim victory, had Tropical Sumatrana dive under the water. Now she just had to attack or pull something off. However, she couldn't act yet for one wrong move could cost her.

"Just what I was hoping you would do."

"No!"

"Caspian, Black Wave Cyclone!"

The armoured tiger shark appeared with a roar, it swum in a fast circle, it created a huge tornado of wind and water. In seconds, the tornado swept Tropical Sumatrana clear of the stadium.

"Winner Rowena."

Caspian returned to Rowena's open hand, while Sienna picked Tropical Sumatrana and miserable walked back to the Venom Snakes.

"Sienna, wait!"

Sienna turned round, shocked.

"The battle we had was amazing, I'm really glad I got to face you."

Rowena extended her hand, Sienna shook it firmly.

"You're right, let's do it again."

"We definitely will."

"I'll be waiting."

Rowena and Sienna separated and returned to their respective teams.

"That was an incredible battle and what excellent sportsmanship, look forward to seeing you all tomorrow for a clash between the PPB All Starz and Le Croix!"
