Addie had healed her ankle, but regretted it right away. Roman would notice. She wore a boot, acting like her ankle was still injured. She was at her mom and aunt's store.
"So he didn't ask you out? Dean and Seth asked Bayley and Mella out", Nikki said.
"Even if he did, I would say no. The more distance between us, the better. Maybe if he stays away from me, he won't...", she stopped and looked down.
"It's a curse babe, whether he falls in love with you again or not, he's dying. Enjoy him while he's alive", Nikki said.
"No. I can't take losing him all over again. It's too painful", Addie said, drawing on the sketch pad.
"What's different about him this time?", her mom asked.
"He has a tattoo on his arm. He's never had that before", Addie said, not taking her eyes off of the drawing of him.
Her mom smiled.
"Oh, I saw it", Brie winked at her.
Addie blushed. Nikki was confused, they could all see it.
"Okay, what was that about?", Nikki asked.
"When I picked her up, he was shirtless and we saw the whole tattoo", Brie said.
Addie blushed. Nikki smirked.
"And you conveniently left that part out", her aunt said, nudging her.
"Because I know how you two are", Addie said.
Her aunt giggled.
"Okay seriously, no use in you looking longingly at his house tonight. Let's go to dinner. Bayley and Carmella are going out, as you know.", Brie said.
"No. I have a whole season of Sabrina to get through. It's a new version", Addie said.
Brie rolled her eyes. The bell over the door rang and Roman walked through. He looked surprised to see them here.
"Hi", he said, when they just looked at each other.
"Hi", all three women replied.
He cleared his throat.
"I was looking for someone named, Alexa Bliss. She told me she works here", he said.
Addie rolled her eyes.
"Of course she would", Addie mumbled.
"She doesn't work here anymore. We fired her a few days ago", Brie said.
He nodded.
"You three work here?", he asked.
"We actually own it. Addie and the girls help out from time to time", Nikki said.
Roman nodded. He looked around at everything.
"What can we help you with? Or were you just looking for Alexa?", Nikki asked.
Roman's eyes found Addie.
"No, she just gave me her card and said if I want to ever stop by, I could", Roman said, he slid the card on the counter.
Brie took it and threw it away.
"So what do you sell here?", Roman asked.
Nikki and Brie both nudged Addie to get her to help him. She rolled her eyes and grabbed her crutches since her leg was supposedly hurt.
"We have lotions, oils, and soaps. We also sell herbs and spices. Also bath bombs and candles. Our candles are really popular during fall and winter", Addie said.
He nodded and followed her as she gestured towards everything.
"Like for witch craft?", he asked.
She looked at him.
"I guess, if you believe in that stuff. Plan on putting a spell on someone?", she said playfully.
He chuckled.
"Maybe. I've been having a hard time figuring out how to ask this one woman out. I thought she just didn't like me, but we kissed earlier today and turns out I might have a chance", he said.
She blushed and smiled.
"Have anything to get her to say yes?", he asked.
"Forcing a love spell on someone is bad magic. So, if something like that existed, we wouldn't sell it here", Addie said.
"Just my luck, huh", he said.
"Sorry. We do have this oil that helps when you're feeling sore. You know, since you like working out. Smells good too", she said.
He looked at her and nodded.
"I'll take it", he said.
She made her way to the oils side. Grabbing a vial and showing it to him.
"Smells good?", he asked.
She nodded.
"Open it", she said.
He did and it smelled like lemons.
"Lemons?", he asked.
"With a hint of ginger. Helps with muscle cramps", she said.
"I'll take it", he said.
He picked up a purple vial.
"Lavender, helps when you can't sleep. I like taking a bath with either the oil or bath bomb. Helps you relax", she said.
He nodded, then he remembered his dream. He had smelled lavender when they were in the bath.
"You okay?", she asked.
He looked at her and nodded.
"Yeah, just thinking about something", he said.
She nodded. He grabbed a lavender one as well.
"How's it going?", Brie asked.
"That's it for now. I like your shop", he said.
"Thank you. My sister and I never liked putting anything in our girls bodies that weren't natural. My mother was the same way", Brie said.
"Do you sell a lot?", he asked.
"Oh yeah. Especially during flu season. Moms love to bring their kids in", Nikki said.
Roman smiled and nodded.
"He was asking for a love spell", Addie said.
Roman laughed softly. Brie and Nikki raised a brow.
"Sorry, we don't work that kinda thing. This might be Salem, but not everyone is a witch", Nikki said.
Roman nodded.
"You might want to try one of those little shops around the corner. I bought a candle there once, I think they make them better than we do, might even have some magic in them", Brie said.
"I'll definitely be checking it out", he said.
He paid.
"Who is the spell for, if you don't mind me asking? She must be blind if you need a spell to catch her attention", Nikki said.
Roman looked at Addie and smiled, before looking back at Nikki. Both women saw it though.
"I don't think that's it. I think she's just scared.", he said.
Addie handed him back his change and put his things in a small bag.
"Here you go. Have a nice day", she said.
Roman took the bag.
"So, if you don't mind me asking. Why is it that you are still working a shop like this when you have a very popular clothing line?", Roman asked.
"It keeps us humble and our girls. Besides, we like helping people, you know when they're sick", Brie said.
Roman nodded.
"That clothing line also helps us keep this place going.", Nikki said.
"Well, if these oils help the way Addie says, I'll definitely be coming more often.", Roman said.
Brie and Nikki nodded. He looked at Addie.
"I'll see you tomorrow at school, Adelaide", he said.
She nodded. They watched him walk out, then both women turned to look at Addie.
"You need to keep an eye on him. If you don't, Alexa will swoop right in. She had the balls to put a curse on him, on us, who knows what else she'll do.", Brie said.
"I know, mom", Addie said.
"I know it's going to be hard, Addie, but until we figure out how to break this curse, it's going to happen", Brie said.
Addie nodded and looked down.
"Don't push him away, spend time with him, love him", Nikki said.
"Take it from two women who lost the loves of their lives. You get to see him over and over again, we don't get that", Brie said.
"Doesn't stop you two from dating", Addie smirked.
"Hey, I think enough time has passed. They would want us to be happy, just like Roman would want you to be happy. Even if it's with him, well, different versions of him", Nikki said.
Addie and Brie laughed.
"And as for your magic. I get why you don't want to use it, but if you want to break this curse, we need you and your magic", her mom said.
Addie nodded.
"I healed my ankle didn't I", Addie said.
"Then its settled. Starting this week, we find something to break that spell", Brie said.
"Even if it requires dark magic?", Addie asked.
"I think we've all had enough of this curse, and if it means peace at the end, then bring it", Brie said.
Addie nodded and Nikki did as well.
