Chapter 4: Chaotic Celebration
Seto looked at the screens before her, as her AI systems collected hundreds of gigabytes of data a minute from the internet, her company and its many subsidiaries. Though the main source was the data collected by her duel disks, which tracked the location of the duelists and what kind cards they played so that she was always up to date on new challenges.
But right now, she was looking at the data of one specific Duelist.
Sieg d'Arc.
She had thought it was just a shortening of Siegfried.
But no, it was just Sieg.
Looking at the past data from his Duel Pad and it was nothing to speak home about, only one Super Rare in the form Chaos Dragon Levianeer (Which she even had one copy of in her current iteration of her Blue-eyes deck, its Light Effect was very useful) and one Ultimate Rare in form of Psychic End Punisher, a powerful Synchro monster to be wary off for sure. But the rest of the deck had been average, only common and uncommon cards.
But that had changed seemingly a week ago, when he had suddenly gone on a card hunting spree, finding many Super, Ultra, and Ultimate Rare cards with such precision it was almost supernatural.
No, it had to be supernatural.
Now Seto Kaiba wasn't one to see conspiracy and magic everywhere she looked, she had actually been a staunch non-believer of Yugi's mystic bullshit, but their encounter with Dartz and his Seal of Orichalcos during their third year of middle-school had changed her mind along with the encounter of the Ishtar Siblings, more Millenium Items and the collecting of the Egyptian God Cards to defeat Dartz and his Leviathan along with the assistance of Legendary Dragons.
Yes, Kaiba believed in the supernatural now. And that Sieg had used whatever power he had to locate the cards he now had.
Though as she looked at his deck and the cards inside, she was confused by one fact.
The size of the deck.
Now a deck could vary in size of course, the legal limit was between 40 and 60 with the vast majority running 40 card deck for consistency, though then one chose to go over 40 they usually did so in increments of five, going 45, 50, 55, 60.
So, it stood out that there were only 59 cards in Sieg's deck.
Like there was a card missing in his deck that he had yet to find.
So, in a sense it was still incomplete.
Kaiba's first thought had been Chaos Dragon Emperor, but the original was still banned, and the retrain was trash.
So, her thoughts went to another card of his.

Was the card's text, but her system could not find a single other copy of this card amongst any other duelists.
So that confirmed that this was a Ghost Rare Card.
And she had gotten a message from her worms inside of Industrial Illusions' systems that their New Domino Vault had been broken into and two cards had been stolen.
With one of them being lost to the wild after one of the perpetrators had been captured.
She figured that somehow Sieg had managed to pick up the wayward card, and then build a deck around it.
And now he was on the lookout for the other card as she assumed they were bound in some way.
Well at the very least, her tenure at Duel Academy.
Though first she had to have words with Yugi about losing to some beside her, even if it had not been the Pharoah who had been dueling.
It was the principal of the matter dammit!
She was her rival, and the only one who was allowed to beat any version of Yugi Muto was her.

Kriemhild smiled as she watched her boy defeat Crowler, she wondered why he even was doing that in the first place.
She would have to make a call about that later.
But for now she would feel pride in her progeny.
She had actually been worried about him after all, as Sieg had quite literally been the runt of her litter, smaller than most children when he was born, if it had been on time. And puberty had not affected him at all, leaving him at that yeet-able 135cm height.
And his dueling skills had been nothing to speak home about either, average at most with a deck that just okay. The only thing being somewhat normal was that, like Joan, he had a love of dragon type monsters.
Which she found rather ironic considering she was known as the dragon slayer.
But now that had seemingly changed.
She wondered if it had been the accident?
She had almost packed up and abandoned her current tournament when the hospital had called her to inform her that Sieg had been in an accident.
But she had been forced to stay due to her contract as his injuries were not considered life-threating.
As if a traumatic brain injury was not considered life threatening.
Her current manager was gonna get the boot after the season was over.
But her soon had recovered quickly and had changed.
She looked at the frozen footage as his dragons achieved victory.
It was a confident look she had never really seen on her son before.
It was something she was actually used to seeing on her late husband as he made love to her, as he put babies in her. And it actually kinda made her excited seeing it upon her son's face as he was beating Crowler.
He had changed so much, he now dueled with confidence with a deck that was truly his.
Chaos Deck.
It was rare to see that kind of deck, as all the cards were rather on the rare end of things, and it required extreme skill to use.
Skill her son now had and was furthering.
Oh yes, Kriemhild was so proud of her son, and she loved him very much.
She couldn't wait for Golden Week.

"Congratulation Sieg!" My family said as they all popped open confetti poppers, the small stings of power would be a bitch to clean up afterward but in the moment it was worth it.
Now as for why they were celebrating?
Well, that was simple.
They were celebrating my official acceptance into Dual Academy.
Three days had passed since the Entrance Exam Duel against Crowler, and this morning the package containing my acceptance letter, new uniform, and Duel Disk had arrived, so both Leo and Jeanne had figured I was due for a small party.
"Thank you all," I replied with a smile as I drank my soda.
"No need to thank us Sieg, you deserve this, for beating Doctor Crowler, and for recovering as fast as you did," Jeanne said.
"Yeah, that shit was amazing, Crowler was always a little to high and mighty for my taste, so I am glad you got to serve him some humble pie." Joan said with a smirk, as she drank her drink, a generic beer of some kind. As apparently the legal age for alcoholic consumption was what I was familiar with from my old life, below 5%. You could drink that when you were 16, above that you had to wait until 18.
Which was due to the serious amount of cross culture pollination that had happened over the last 30 years, as apparently World War 3 had basically happened in the early 2000s, the only reason it was not called that was because no nukes had been fired. Though when all those conflicts had come to an end, what was basically a war economy was now basically replaced with the Duel Monster Economy. Had crashed a lot of people had moved all over the globe to find new ventures.
With a lot coming to Japan to replace the aging population that was apparently much worse in this timeline, which was why many kids in my generation had Western Names, as many were half-Japanese, and half other ethnicity.
It was one of the neatest bits of historical trivia I had learned so far.
"Though it looks like he got back at him by putting Sieg-nii in Uria," Luna said as she pointed at the red jacket that was my uniform.
"Nah, the letter explains it," I said as I held it up the attached note that had been with the jacket. "'Dear Mr. Sieg d'Arc, despite your performance at the Entrance Exam Duel, due to your average written exam, middle school grades and lateness to the Entrance Exam Duel, you have been placed in Uria Red, with a 3 Star Ranking.'" I read out loud in an imitation of Crowler's voice, which cause a laugh from Jeanne and Joan.
"It's not like being late was your fault, all our alarms decided to be stupid." Leo grumbled.
"Well, what done is done." I said as I took a bit of my cake.
"Yeah, brat you just gotta work your way up the old-fashioned way, probably in Hamon by the time the first semester is over," Joan said. "Though to change subjects, do you wanna test out those new Duel Disks? We got ours too, and I wanna get a feel for that hard-light stuff."
"Wait you wanna duel me?" I asked in surprise, from Old Sieg's memory, Joan had always denied him a duel.
"Yeah, now that you got a deck that is actually yours, and not a generic pile of crap, plus I wanna see how my old Dragon Champion Deck hold up against it." Joan explained. "Cause you are not ready against my current deck and it is in the middle of an upgrade."
"Sure, thing sis, just get ready to lose."
"Haa as if, though if you win you get any one favor from me," Joan said with extreme confidence.
"I take you up on that Joan," I replied as we made our way to Duel Field we had outside.
And we took out our new Duel Disks, locking the magnetic band around arms that held the body in place, placed the body it, it click on with a satisfying sound as it was opened up and we inserted the brand new pad into it and it came online. "Duel Disk: Duel Pad II, online, full updated, download user data, download complete, please insert Deck and Extra into the appropriate bays." We did so and it gave a resounding beep. "No Banned Cards detected, limited cards are below threshold. Activating the Duel Blade." At that the hard-light blade popped into existence, the blade black surrounded by a dark-purple outline, the form looking like a dragon's wing.
While Joan's looked like an actual sword, her blade also purple.
"Duel!" We both said at the same time.

"I will pick odds," I said.
"When I will go even," Jeanne replied as the die was rolled.
And it landed on two.
"Heh, I will go first," Joan said we both drew five cards. And I looked at my starting cards, Core of Chaos, Chaos Mirage Dragon, two Charges of the Light Brigade and Emergency Teleport. This hand I could work with. "I first activate the Field Spell Charging Gaia, and I immediately use its effect to reveal one Level 5 Dragon Monster in my hand that being my Curse of Dragonfire, I can add a 'Gaia the Fierce Knight' to my hand and I choose my Origin Gaia the Fierce Knight, whose effect I will then activate, by discarding a Level 5 Dragon from my hand, I can Special Summon, Origin Gaia the Fierce Knight(1600ATK/1200DEF) and I do so in Defense Position!" She shouted as the mounted warrior appeared in a defensive position, and yeah the monsters were looking a lot more solid than normal. "Then I will, set two cards and end my turn."
"My turn then," I said as I drew. And it was… Duality. Which was actually better of being in the graveyard honestly. "First I activate the Quick-Play Spell Card, Emergency Teleport, which allows me to Special Summon a Level 3 or lower Psychic Tuner from my Deck and I choose Mental Tuner(200ATK/2100DEF)!" At that the orange haired scientist appeared ready to do some tuning. "Next I activate Charge of the Light Brigade, by sending the top three card of my deck to the graveyard I can add one Lightsworn monster to my hand."
"And I will activate my two set cards, first is Spiral Discharge, it won't do anything now but it will soon. The second is Spiral Reborn, allowing me to Special Summon Curse of Dragonfire(2000ATK/1500DEF) as he is a Level 7 or lower Dragon Monster."
"Nice moves sis, I will be ending the chain by adding Raiden to my hand, and then I will use another Charge of the Light Brigade. You know what it does now." I said as three more cards were sent to my graveyard and added another Raiden to my hand. "Next I will activate Core of Chaos's(0ATK/1600DEF) effect to Special Summon itself by banishing a Dark Monster from my graveyard, and I will do so in defense mode." At that the orb of spinning light and darkness manifested. "Next I will Normal Summon Chaos Mirage Dragon(1600ATK/600DEF), and then I will activate its effect to special summon a banished Light or Dark Monster, and I will choose my Bystial Druiswurm(2500ATK/2000DEF)." The blue scaled dragon appeared and let out a mighty roar.
"And now you are going to synchro summon aren't you?" Joan asked, and I nooded.
"And now I am going to Synchro Summon my Level 8. Chaos Ruler, Chaotic Magical Dragon(3000ATK/2500DEF) by tuning my Level 6 Bystial Druiswurm with my Core of Chaos." I said as the standard animation. "Come forth Ruler of Chaos from before and after time!"
At that my partner appeared behind, posing like usual.
"His effect activates, allowing to excavate the top five cards of my deck add a Light or Dark Monster to my hand, the rest goes to my graveyard!" I said as they did so. "Now I activate my Mental Tuner's effect by banishing up to two Light or Dark Monsters from my Graveyard, I can adjust his level by that amount in either direction, and I banish my Necroface, which results in banishing the top five cards of our decks." I said while Jeanne groaned as she put the cards and so did I but my Duel Pad took note of one of the cards. "And since one of my cards were Chaos Valkyria I can send one Light or Dark Monster from my deck to my graveyard and I send The Bystial Lubellion, for later, as I now banish another light monster to Special Summon Chaos Valkyria(1800ATK/1050DEF) from my hand who I will immediately be tuning with my Chaos Mirage Dragon."
"You forgot that Chaos Mirage Dragon was a Tuner for a second didn't you?" Joan asked and I could feel my face heat up in shame as I kinda had.
"And so my Level 4 Chaos Mirage Dragon and my Level 4 Chaos Valkyria will form Level 8 Draco Berserker of the Tenyu(3000ATK/0DEF)!" I said as the massive berserker appeared on the field ready to duke it out. "And then I it is used like that my Chaos Mirage Dragon allows me to banish one of you face up cards and I choose your Spiral Discharge." I said as the card went, bye-bye. "I end my turn." I said as my Mental Tuner was banished due to the effect of Emergency Teleport.
"Ehhh, why didn't Sieg-nii attack?" Leo asked in confusion.
"Yeah brat why didn't you?" Joan asked almost insulted.
"Because you wanted to have my Dragon fight your Champion, and I don't see a Champion do you?" I asked. "And I don't want the duel to end to fast because sis had a shitty hand."
"Heh, thanks brat, but don't think I will give you the same curtsey, it is insulting, so at Duel Academy, take advantage of every bricked hand crush them." Joan said.
"Intend to," I said as Joan drew her card.
"I hope so cause you will regret doing it here. First I will Activate the effect of my Curse of Dragonfire's effect and I will Fusion Summon my Sky Galloping Gaia the Dragon Champion(2600ATK/2100DEF)." And so a knight wearing blue wielding duel lances ridding a mechanized dragon appeared. "His effect allows me to add 1 Spiral Spear Strike to my hand, which I will immediately play, the cards appeared behind the Dragon Champion infusing it with a new power. "Then I will be going to the battle phase, and attack your Berserker with my Dragon Champion, as I know that card is gonna escalate if leave it out, and as I do my Champion will put it in defense position and since my Chargin Gaia Field Spell is active you can't activate its effect like you were probably planning on weren't you?"
She had been right about that.
I had planned on doing that. I thought as Sky Galloping Gaia the Dragon Champion, pierced my Draco it exploding with such force I actually was pushed back a little.
"And since my Spiral Spear Strike is on the field you take piercing damage, and I can draw two cards discarding on." Joan said as she did so.

"And now during my Main Phase 2, I will Normal Summon Keeper of Dragon Magic, when it is summoned, I can discard one card, and add Polymerization or Fusion Spell card to my hand, I choose my Spiral Fusion Spell, which I will use to Fuse my Gaia the Magical Knight in my hand with my Keeper on the Field to Fusion Summon another Sky Galloping
Another dragon ride appeared on the field the dragon flashing its wings to intimidate Chaos Ruler, though he seemed to be taken a back as the dragon and the rider grew in size as I saw its attack point total increase.

"And when I use Spiral Fusion to summon a Gaia the Dragon Champion it gains an additional 2600 attack points, and then I end my turn." Joan finished.
"Wow Joan-nee took a chunk out Sieg-nii!" Leo commentated.
"Yeah Nice moves sis, but I think I am gonna win." I said as I drew Chaos Space. "First I will activate the Spell, Chaos Space by sending a Light Monster to my graveyard I can add a Dark Monser that can't normal or set to my hand and I will add, Shell of Chaos, and Chaos Space's GY effect will activate and by returning a Banished Light or Deck monster to my Deck, I can then draw a card."
"Got something good?" Joan asked.
"Something that works," I replied. "I activate Chaos Shell(1600ATK/0DEF), Banishing a Raiden from my grave, to Special Summon, it and then by doing so I can Special Summon Core of Chaos(0ATK/1600DEF)." The two chaos monsters appeared on my field. "The I will tune my Level 8 Chaos Ruler with my Level 2 Core of Chaos, to Synchro Summon a brand new dragon, one that I got thanks to Grandpa, come forth, Level 10 Bystial Dis Pater(3500ATK/3500ATK)!"
At that a massive dragon appeared above me, it filed more than the entire area and honestly looked like an abomination against nature.
"And then I my graveyard, I will activate Chaos Ruler's effect, by Banishing a Light and Dark Monster from my hand or grave I can Special Summon it back to the field, now return Chaos Ruler!" I shouted as the dragon of chaos manifested once more. "Next, I activate Bystial Dis Pater's effect, allowing me Special Summon a Ligh or Dark Monster that has been banished. And I choose my Mental Tuner(200ATK/2100DEF)!"
"Sieg-nii is recovering its starting too look bad for Joan-nee."
"The only life point that matters Luna is the last one," Joan commented back.
"Yeah, it is and soon you will have none! I will be Normal Summoning Raiden, Hand of Lightsworn to the field, and his effect allows me to send the top three cards of my deck to the grave, and… I will be activating the Duality it just sent to the graveyard. It allows me to send a Light and Dark Monster back to my deck, and I can draw one card." I said as I drew the White Dragon. "Next I will be tuning my Level 4 Shell of Chaos with my Level 4 Raiden, to Synchro Summon Level 8 PSY-Framelord Omega!" I said, as man riding a scooter of PSY-Frames. "His effect activates allowing me Banish him and the card in your hand until the End Phase, and to be honest I just wanted to test him out."
"Better now than never, or at a wrong time," Joan replied as the two cards were banished. "But you still lack attack power to overcome my Dragon Champion."
"I will in a moment though it won't be fighting it, as I will be tuning my returned Level 8 Chaos Ruler, The Chaotic Magical Dragon with my Level 3 Mental Tuner to Synchro Summon, the punisher of sin that comes from the end of time, Level 11 Psychic End Punisher(3500ATK/3500DEF)!"
I said as what was currently my strongest card appeared.
"And to give its effect some fodder that isn't my Bystial I will be Special Summoning the White Dragon Wyverburster(1700ATK/1800DEF) I drew thanks to Duality, by banishing a Dark Monster." I said. "Now by paying a 1000LP I can activate Psychic End Punisher's effect by Banishing one of my Monsters I can Banish one of yours. And I choose that Super Dragon Champion of yours."
"Well done brat, you've really got talent now," Joan said.
"Thanks sis, I move to the Battle Phase," I declared. Though sadly Psychic Punisher's effect could not activate at the moment. "My Psychic Punisher will destroy your Sky Galloping Gaia the Dragon Champion and then my Bystial Dis Pater will attack your directly."
At that my two 3.5K Beast sticks laid into my sister, hitting harder than normal due to the improved Hard light holograms.
Joan LP: 3600
"I end my turn," I said.
"I draw," Joan replied before looking down at her drawn card with a sigh. "I set a card in defense and pass to you Sieg, you win this duel."
"I was good one sis, I can't wait to fight your other deck," I said.
"Wait until Duel Academy brat," She replied.
"I will, my PSY-Framelord Omega(2800ATK/2200DEF), now return to the field and so does your card to your hand." I said. "I now move to my battle phase. I attack your facedown with my PSY-Framelord Omega, and then attack you directly with my Psychic End Punisher." I said as I Psychic End Punisher laid into her.
Joan LP: 0
"Wow Sieg-nii, beat Joan-nee!" Leo said in amazement.
"Though Joan-nee, was using her old deck." Luna added.
"A win, is a win, tough I gotta say these new Duel Disks are something," Joan said. "So much lighter, and even more responsive. That Seto-chick really know her craft, even if she is a bit of a big-headed bitch."
"Joan…" Jeanne simply said and I laughed.
"Wait…" Luna said, sounding like she had just realized something. "Your Dragon Champion, and Sieg's dragon didn't actually fight each other?"
We all laughed again as we realized that as well.
I loved my new family.
