MAY 6 Tuesday
It was normal everyday for echo creek. As Humans, Mewmans, and Monsters are going about their daily lives. As we see a tan skinned teenager with blue eyes listening to a lecture while having a plain face. As the lecture was going on, he looked out the window for no particular reason. He remembers that night...a night where everyone was in stasis when had a late night soccer practice with his friends.

April 12
It was 11:56 pm and he was walking through the streets with some people left in the streets. He just left the school while still wearing his soccer uniform. As he walks through the streets, he looks at his phone and scrolls through the daily post of people. He looks at the clock on his phone to see that it was almost midnight causing him to quicken his pace. He pocketed his phone as he quickened his pace to go home.
As the night continues, the busy street keeps on going, the clocks are ticking away ever so slightly to midnight. As the second hand hits the 12, the hour and minute hand follows and strikes midnight.
Suddenly a golden glow passes by the teen as he is also frozen but he slowly starts moving normally while the glow whispers
(No one truly knows what their calling is in life unless they've fully embraced the path they've chosen. )
(But you will have the power to do so at a cost)
(Heed my call and in one year time, questions will be raised and answers will be met.)
(So wake up, wake up to the real and forget the shell.)
Everything in echo creek slows down to a halt and the atmosphere is more dark with a tint of blue emanating from the crescent moon.
The teen is now looking around in a panic and wondering why everyone was frozen in time. He pokes some people and waves his hand on the faces of people to be met with no reaction.
His heart beat starts raising and marrying a panicked look. He then rushes to his house as quickly as possible. With his house in sight, a wall of black goo stops him which caused to fall back on his butt.
"Mom! Dad! Anyone! Help me!" He shouted as he tried to defend himself
He tries to kick away the goo but to no avail as the goo slowly starts consuming him. The only thing he saw while the goo encased him was the moon having red cracks and everything went dark.

He huffs and returns to the lecture. A few hours later, the school doors open and students pour out the school. As it dies down to a handful of students, The teen leaves the school with headphones on. He stops a bit and picks from his music.
After selecting a specific song, a notification pops up from his mother.
'David can you pick up some eggs from the market? The one with the cute blue beaver with a rainbow background please?

After reading the message, he pockets his phone and walks into town.
He reaches the bustling town filled people going on to their daily lives. He passes by on a couple of monsters and humans working the road then some mewman officer with a monster partner having a nice chat.
After a few minutes of walking, he reaches the supermarket named 'The Trove' and heads inside.
Once inside, he looks around to that there aren't many people in the market which make this a won't as much of a hassle for David.
He goes to the produce aisle and starts looking for the egg carton. As he was looking for his item, his interest got peaked by conversation loud enough to hear through to his half volume music.
He mutes his music and listens into the conversation by two male people.
"So I was thinking about leaving echo creek a bit"
"Why? Is it because of the Hollow Syndrome all over the news?"
"Yeah, seeing them in the hospital every day is depressing as heck. Seeing their eyes have nothing but a blank stare. like a wall is just staring at you"
"Well, how about we plan a trip? Just you and I."
"Sure, just make sure it's not a beach. I really hate sand"
David stops listening to the conversation and continues to find the egg carton. a few minutes later, he finally finds the egg carton he needs.
He grabs the eggs and heads to checkout. As he was queuing up, he noticed a hanging tv televised a news report about the Hollow Syndrome.
/The syndrome has been on the rise in Echo Creek and the hospitals are being over flooded with the cases. No known causes of the Hollow Syndrome but doctors theorized that it is caused by insomnia induced alcohol. Most of the causes have a history of drinking alcohol with a few cases contradicting./
The news continues to go on about the case.
After paying for the eggs, he exits the supermarket and heads home as he puts his headphones back on.
He then went to a bakery and bought his mother's favorite cookies.
He walks past to him a familiar bookstore named 'Busy Eyes' and stops by the window. He peers in the store to see a neatly organized bookshelves with some are on a table which is also organized. On the counter, an elegant looking woman with glasses reading a book.
He stops peering in the store and continues walking. He pulled his phone and started scrolling to his social app.
He mindlessly scrolls to his phone and does not pay attention to his surroundings causing him to bump into a person and dropping his phone.
"Hey! Watch it" said a female voice as she turns around
He recovers a bit and looks up to see a tan skin woman with a long brown ponytail that reaches to her back. Her upper part is a red jacket with black accents, a dark blue spaghetti top under the jacket. On her lower half, she wears blue jeans with a dirty white cloth wrapped around her thigh, and then finally brown boots.
"You need to be more careful" she said while turning around to face him
She then got surprised that the person she got a bump onto.
"Oh hey David!" She said "nice see ya here!"
"Hello Aunt Mariposa" he greets with a monotone voice.
She chuckles at his formalities"Just call me Mari." as she ruffles his head.
She notices his phone the ground and picks it up and hands it over to him.
"So what's up?" She asked
He gestured to his paper bag on his hand and she nodded in response.
"Mom needs eggs and cookies huh? She always likes the beaver ones. Even though those eggs are mediocre at best"
"Anyway, you hungry? Let's go to my favorite taco place."
"Mind if I join?" The voice behind David speaks.
David turned around to the lady from the bookstore. She has pale white skin and white curly hair with purple cat like eyes. Her top is a dark purple blazer that is fully closed only exposing the collar of her white polo shirt with a red western bow tie. Her lower half is a black pencil skirt with her tail exposed from a small cut for her tail. And black ankle strap heels.
"Oh hey Meteora, here I thought you're gonna go on a diet" Mariposa teased
"Careful Mari or that tongue will taste blood" she said while pretending to be angry
"I'm just kidding ya, now come on" she as she went off with the others follows her.
They arrive at a certain Taco restaurant with the sign on top displaying the name 'Britta's Tacos'. Mariposa opens the door of the restaurant while the other two go ahead and pick a seat.
They picked a seat near the windows and they had a light conversation but it was as light as a feather.
"School"
"Good"
"Friends"
"Okay"
"Good"
And they just stared at each other awkwardly.
/Still as emotionless as before. The incident has possibly made changes to him but it slowly happened over time because he was full of life. This syndrome has been devastating./
As they wait for Mari to deliver the food, Meteora checks on her phone and checks on the news about the syndrome.
David blankly stares out the window and sees people passing by. He then noticed a girl with an off shoulder yellow cardigan top and a white polo shirt. He continued to look at her outfit whose lower half is a black skirt that reaches to half of her shin and white socks that goes past her shins and lastly red sneakers.
The girl leaves before he notices her features. He shrugs then continues to look outside.
A few minutes later, Mari came to them with a tray of tacos for each of them.
"Sorry for taking so long, they're so slow today." She said as she sits down "now how about we chow down"
She takes hers and starts munching on her taco. Meteora takes the opposite and slowly consumes hers.
David eats it like Meteora and they talk in between them eating their food.
After they were done eating, they all went their separate ways after a lengthy conversation.
He noticed that It was almost night time and he hurried back home.

He reaches the Diaz household which was inherited from his father's parents. From the out of place castle tower on the side to the neatly cut grass, it is practically the same household from when Marco and Star were kids with a few fixes here and there.
His grandparents have been away for years now and David has missed them but he knows that it's for the best from all the stories he heard.
He makes his way to the front door and heads inside. Once inside, he went to the kitchen and offloaded the eggs to the pantry. As he was exiting the kitchen, he noticed that Star and Marco were sitting on their couch sleeping with the tv still on. David turns off the tv then wakes them up.
They stirred awake and rubbed their eyes. Star yawn and look at David with sleepy eyes.
"Oh hey David, when did you get here?" She sleepy said
"Just got here" he responds
He holds up the paper bag to his mother and her eyes sparkle and her tiredness seemingly goes away.
"Ohhhh cookies!" She said excitedly
She hops off her couch and grabs the bag off of David.
"Thank you honey"
She kissed David's forehead and went upstairs but not before she poked her head on the entrance of the stairs.
"David, be a dear and head right to sleep. I don't want another accident" she told David sternly
She slowly creeps back to the entrance of the stairs making her disappear. David felt a hand on his shoulder and he looked to see his dad.
"Better get to it"
David nodded his head and went to his bedroom.
After doing his essential night routine, he climbs into his bed and falls asleep.

He opens his eyes to an elegant room with a diamond patterned maroon to white window on the side. In front of him is a long table with gems on the pegs of the table.
He looks around before he lands his eyes at four creatures on the end of the table.
1st is an orb on a pedestal. Next to it is a crystal head creature with snakes of hands.
Besides it is a small floating blue creature with a gem on the forehead. Then Lastly is a red haired creature with a flame on its crown between its horns.
"Welcome to the High Commission" the blue creature said "my name is Glossaryck and don't worry, you are fast asleep in the real world. It seems that you've awakened from your power"
"?"
"Your power possesses a great deal of potential with people you'll meet and everyone around you."
"It's a small light but enough time and people, it will grow and flourish."
"For now, Farewell."
As David's vision started fading into darkness.
